    Breathtaking

I have been fortunate to have attended multiple events held at Vintage Court. Recently I attended an event there and can not say enough wonderful things about this location. The staff is professional and attentative, and make sure that every detail is handled. The food is incredibly delicious, and the location itself is absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend Vintage Court if you are looking for a venue for your event.

My experience with Vintage Court was amazing. We got married under a beautiful oak tree with a chandelier. I paid the venue to decorate for me so that I didn't have to buy a whole bunch of centerpieces. I was allowed to get my own DJ, but they will include a DJ in your overall price if you wish. I opted to do this because the DJ was used to working at the venue and used to working with the staff. The food was great. It was all prepared at the venue. I got my cakes at Zoe's Bakery and they gave me a discount just for having my wedding at Vintage Court. The staff is so organized, I can't say enough about them. From my first visit to the minute that I walked out of the door after my reception, they were so organized and helpful. Everything was effortless. They asked me all of the questions they needed to know beforehand to in order to keep my wedding day going smooth. On my wedding night, the staff made sure that my husband, our parents and I always had a drink in our hands and helped us in any way possible. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful night.

They were amazing beginning to the end. It was more than I had imagined or hoped for. The staff was very attentive and kept us on schedule. We didn't have to think about anything but the vows and each other during the wedding. I asked for a custom Sri Lankan menu, and they delivered amazingly. The food looked, smelt, and tasted so authentic that all the Sri Lankans that attended the wedding were asking for the restaurant that catered the food, and were very surprised to learn that the venue's chef cooked all the food in house. I cannot recommend a better place to make your special day magical. They made ours, and we had people talking about it for days.

Vintage Court was the perfect venue for our wedding reception. Shannon, the coordinator was especially professional, accommodating, and easy to work with. With planning a wedding from out of state, good communication with your vendors is vital. Vintage court had quick email response about any questions I had. All of our guests loved the food! And we loved getting to enjoy a quick private meal before greeting our guests at the reception. I recommend vintage court to anyone planning a wedding who wants a stress free and beautiful reception.

Beautiful venue, professional staff, delicious food

I had my wedding in the Renaissance Room in April 2019 and I am SO glad I chose this venue. As soon as I toured the venue, I knew I needed to get married under their old oak tree. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the Renaissance Room was charming. They photographed well, too. Julie and her staff were extremely helpful and supportive. I did find the venue's DJ to be a little impersonal and would have liked to work more with him, but he did a good job and knows what he's doing. The guests raved about the food, and as the bride, I spent my night on the dance floor with drinks flowing (thanks to Brittany, Julie's assistant coordinator!).

The venue is a great value compared to others in its price point. I did use the Renaissance Room rather than their main room and was worried that it would be weird having two weddings on the same night, especially being in the smaller room. But I didn't even notice that there was a second wedding going on later that night, and my guests had no idea that we weren't the only wedding on the property! We got undivided attention and individual focus from the staff. Vintage Court truly made it a special day for us.

    Vintage Court's reply:

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about your experience here at Vintage Court. We thoroughly enjoyed being a part of your special day and working with you.

I had been a bridesmaid in two weddings at Vintage Court in the past and was excited to have my wedding there as well. I wanted a venue that was more than just one room and everyone commented on how much they enjoyed being able to walk around the beautiful grounds and sit on the patio outside with us. The venue can hold a large crowd however the way it is set up allows for your guests to easily mix and mingle with everyone making it feel more intimate and personal. The food was very good and there was such a variety allowing something for everyone's individual taste. Shannon and crew are great; they manage everything so well and created an environment where I had no stress that day. They think of everything from making time for the bride and groom to sneak away for a few minutes in order to eat to very nicely managing the time and flow of the event. My niece (flower girl) forgot the rose petals so Shannon went out back and picked some from a rose bush they have and put them in her basket so she would have some to drop as she waked down the aisle. It was the little touches like this that made me feel completely taken care of the entire time and I really had fun at my wedding. I would highly recommend Vintage Court.

We were married at Vintage Court in the smaller courtyard with reception took place in the adjoining hall. Absolutely gorgeous! The courtyard ceremony was centered around a gorgeous 250 year old oak tree. Professional and clean. On-site attendants were amazing. DJ was good, decor was lovely, ceremony music was good, caterers were terrific.

    would recommend- some minor inconveniences

We chose to have Vintage Court as our venue due to the large oak tree on their property. I looked all over the greater New Orleans area for this tree! We knew we wanted an outside ceremony by lots of oak trees and then to go directly inside for the reception. Vintage Court did provide this for us! They also accommodated us by allowing us to use the smaller ceremony site (with the tree), but proceed into the larger reception room. We were able to do this by having our wedding on a Friday, ensuring we were the only wedding that day. I was not a fan of how the smaller reception room was laid out, but that was just my personal preference. The ceremony was beautiful and the day turned out to be everything we wanted. This was not the easiest place to work with, however. I was hesitant to even look here, because at first glance, they looked very pricey and restrictive (per their website). After looking at other places, we decided to go and just take a look (the price was actually pretty comparable to others) . The minute I laid eyes on that tree, I knew we just had to get married here! Unfortunately, the team knows this and therefore, in my opinion, takes advantage of this by not being very accommodating. To elaborate, we were both born and raised in the New Orleans area, but we currently live in Austin, TX. We were having to travel in on weekends to get everything done and I was doing most of the work from 10 hours away. One thing the team is very good at is responding to emails, but there are two of them so you aren't ever really sure who you are talking to and if the message was communicated to both coordinators. Most of the planning was going great throughout our engagement, they were helpful in answering my many questions, but it became harder to work with them the week of the wedding. I had requested if we could arrive slightly earlier on wedding day (you are allowed to arrive 1 hour before the ceremony). I was wanting to come an hour and a half earlier to take pictures before guests arrived, because my fiance and I were not doing a first look, I wanted to get as many family/party pictures out of the way beforehand so we were not spending our whole reception taking pics. They would not let us come any earlier because they were "setting up", but this just didn't make sense to me because we did not want to be inside, and we were the only wedding that day. I even offered to come in on Thursday and help set up, to allow us the extra time, but they would not budge. The restrictions on decorations inside are also very strict, this did not effect me necessarily, but some people might have to get very creative. They were very good at setup, I will say. all of the decorations were put up for me and were correct, the way we had discussed. The one thing I really tried to convey to them at our meeting, was that I did not want to be pushed and pulled around by them at the reception. I have been to weddings and seen the coordinators constantly telling the bride to go here and there and do this and that. I wanted to enjoy the time as much as possible because I knew it would all go by so fast. They weren't too bad at this, only a few reminders which was nice, but they did not follow the timeline I gave them. I had typed up a preliminary timeline for the day and we went over it together to get an idea of the night. Everything seemed fine and they agreed to it all at the meeting, but at the reception they kept pushing all of the events up. I, for example, wanted to cut the cake later in the night and wanted to do the bouquet and garter toss, along with the money dance last. They kept telling me to do it now, do it now. It all turned out fine, obviously and we still had an amazing night, but these little things irked me because we had discussed why I wanted everything spaced out, so it wouldn't feel rushed. Then, they actually made us do our second-line exit 15 minutes before the ending time because they wanted guests out at that time. That was frustrating, because if we are spending this much money, we deserve the full allotted time. All in all, we had an amazing night and I would recommend this venue to others because of the beautiful grounds it is on. The coordinators were very nice, all things considered. The building itself is older, so it is not the fanciest venue around, but they are constantly updating things, which is nice. The food was okay, nothing to rave about, but honestly, when booking here, you are paying for the scenery, not the food, in my opinion. It is a plus that the food and bar come included, so you don't have to outsource and the staff was very professional. We are both very laid- back people and this venue was the right choice for us, in the long run. They helped make this a night to remember, and we have no regrets, we don't sweat the small stuff! Thank you Vintage Court! ~~Emily

The chandelier in the ceremony was not turned on ruining the pictures and video of the ceremony! We aid extra for that chandelier that was not on. Not having that on changed the whole mood of the ceremony. We were very disappointed with their lack of response and concern.

We got married on the "big" side/main side and they forgot to turn on the chandelier on. In our meeting 2 weeks before I made it well known that I wanted them to be sure every bulb worked because I didn't want any burnt out bulbs...Seriously, how do professionals manage to not only not turn it on but not even realize it until I told them after the ceremony was over. It negatively affected my video and my pictures. It was incredibly dark under the unlit chandelier. They didn't put out the number of chairs we had discussed. Then they made my parents write a check for extra people even though they had a MAJOR mess up. The place is beautiful and the food was great. The DJ was WONDERFUL, seriously, he saved the night. He had us on the dance floor the entire time! He played what our guests and we wanted to hear. If you have chosen or choose VC, just make sure the dang chandelier is turned on, there are no re-do's, no going back to those moments. I am still very upset.

Beautiful facility, but terrible staff. I attended a rehearsal dinner and a member of the waitstaff spilled food on me. The employee then told me she isn’t an actual waitress, so the venue was hiring off the street apparently. The incident was reported to managing staff, who denied being told when I spoke to her and the owner on the phone.

The owner was also quite rude about the incident, refusing to right this wrong, because the night was said and done, they didn’t take any interest in resolving the issue. She was quite rude and condescending on the phone.

All in all, the venue grounds are quite beautiful, but if anything goes awry, don’t expect the business to do anything to accommodate.

    Avoid at All Costs

If I could change one thing about my wedding day, it would be my choice to get married and have my reception at this venue. I was married on 10/26 at Vintage Court. The night prior to our wedding Tropical Storm Olga came through, causing a widespread power outage throughout Louisiana. The following day (our wedding day) we were not notified until mid-day (solely because my husband emailed and called them, not because they reached out to us) that Vintage Court did not have power and were asked if we wished to still have our wedding. Mind you, I was already in my wedding dress, hair and makeup done & my photographer and videographer were on site at the residence we were getting ready at. We obviously could not cancel our wedding at this point and decided to have our wedding regardless of the lack of communication and backup plan the venue had (or didn’t have). We arrived at vintage court prior to our ceremony to take pictures and were told that none of the bathrooms were working and signs were posted that said, “do not use.” Our guests began to show up and we proceeded with our ceremony that led into our reception. Guests were told they could not use the restrooms due to the power outage and vintage court did not have port-a-potty’s. Many male guests began to use the restroom outside and were told they could not relieve themselves outside. I am extremely disappointed by Vintage Courts lack of a back up plan and in professionalism they displayed the day of my wedding. Our menu was also altered due to the power outage and only the DJ was powered by the one generator they rented. When confronted about the situation, the owner was extremely rude, unprofessional and had the nerve to threaten us with paying an additional cost for the generator(s) they rented. I have many many friends that got married the same day and every other venue had backup generators with a plan for situations such as this. I understand natural disasters occur, but the lack of empathy, respect and ugliness the owner displayed after our wedding towards us was disgusting. My husband called to simply discuss all the occurred on our wedding day and he was not only cursed out by the owner, threatened to be taken to court for additional costs, but also hung up on. We never even received a simple apology and were told they couldn’t believe “we had the audacity to call them.” I wish I never would have given this venue our business and would advise every bride to avoid this venue at all costs.
