    Framingham Historic Village Hall

    Village Hall on the Common needs to get more positive attention. I had my ceremony and reception there in October 2021. Patsy, the coordinator, was nice and easy to interact with. I was looking for a dog friendly venue and this place was perfect. The price can't be beat either, as it is owned by the city of Framingham, it was less than half the price as other venues. We had our ceremony and reception upstairs, had cocktail hour downstairs and took photos on the common and on the side of the historic building. I highly recommend.

    We are so pleased with everything about Village Hall!! The event coordinator, Patsy, is amazing and truly cares about making her clients happy. If you are looking for an affordable, unique wedding venue - do not hesitate to call Patsy at Village Hall!!! Thank you for everything!

    The Village Hall was perfect for my classic New England wedding. It was the historic town hall for Framingham and has a grand double staircase leading to a spacious ballroom. The ballroom has a raised stage which was perfect for my 10 piece band. Renting at the Village Hall requires a bit more coordination as you are renting the space and the tables/chairs only (no package available). However, the vendors they recommend are excellent and the rental coordinator is very helpful. Only downside is that there is no elevator and the bathrooms are not handicapped accessible. My guests were told in advance and, per the rental coordinator, an elevator and handicapped bathroom are being added in 2009.

    Wedding reception

    I was very disappointed in this hall. this was the hottest day on July 20 ,2019and they set the temperature at 70° the hall was 80° and they would not put the AC any lower than that everybody was sweating. The DJ said it was too hot. the caterers said it was so hot very very uncomfortable .do you not rent this place during the summer time. Also you have to rent a security guard which we didn't see most of the night . The elevator stopped working and he just looked at us like oh well . It was so hot the cake melted in the cake topper fell off and broke .

    Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sincerely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet all your expectations. Unfortunately it was a record-breaking heat wave that weekend and the upstairs ballroom air conditioning was closely monitored and could only be maintained at 76 degrees, and cooler downstairs for the cocktail reception. We work with our maintenance team to be prepared for the extreme summer heat, and we provided several fans throughout the upstairs during your event to help accommodate for the extreme weather conditions. Our brand new elevator is ADA compliant and not malfunctioning, however it is indeed slow. Thanks to your comments, we have posted a notice to inform guests that although slow, it will come! We’re glad our Director called to speak with you personally to help address your concerns. Our goal of providing our guests with a memorable and positive experience is paramount.
