We had our wedding at Villa Montaña and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The setting is stunning, right by the beach with beautiful grounds that created the perfect atmosphere for our wedding weekend. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the venue was.
Leading up to the wedding, Halle was fantastic to work with. She was always responsive, helpful, and made the planning process feel easy and organized even from afar. She answered all of our questions and helped coordinate the details so everything came together perfectly.
On the day of the wedding, Priscilla was there and did an amazing job making sure everything ran smoothly. She kept everything organized, handled the timeline seamlessly, and made sure we could just relax and enjoy the day. It meant a lot to have someone so attentive making sure every detail was taken care of.
The food, service, and overall experience exceeded our expectations. The staff was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond for us and our guests.
If you’re considering Villa Montaña for a wedding, we cannot recommend it enough. It was truly the perfect place to celebrate such a special weekend. We are so grateful to the whole team for making it unforgettable.

Fantastic Venue and Staff, Highly Recommend
Recently had my ~60 person wedding in April and couldn’t have imagined a better day! Throughout the months of planning, both Halle and Priscilla were thorough, quick communicators and transparent throughout the entire process. The food and decor details were fantastic, and there was still room for our own touches to the wedding. Halle and Priscilla are open to any and all suggestions. The price was around what we had expected. The weather was perfect and did not rain at all! Overall, fantastic location, amazing coordinators and a once in a lifetime perfect event!

Wedding in January 2026
I just had my wedding at Villa Montana this past January and it was the most amazing day ever. The staffs and resort were amazing and beautiful. The wedding coordinators for Villa Montana were the best. They were so responsive and so flexible with me and my husband and they were honestly the easiest to work with. I loved everything about the location and that night was so fun. The food was amazing and their in house DJ was the best. He kept the party going and played the best music. I would change nothing about that day and live it move and move if I can. I can’t wait to go back to Villa Montana to celebrate my one year anniversary there.

Our wedding at Villa Montana was a beautiful dream come true for the both of us! They were extremely helpful in answering our questions and giving recommendations. They were also very responsive throughout the planning process, affordable for our budget, and a big help with keeping everything on track for the day of our wedding! They got all the small details we asked for and we received nonstop compliments on the food at both the cocktail hour and the reception. We would definitely recommend Villa Montana to others.

One-of-a-kind venue
A very special, one-of-a-kind venue for weddings. Basically, a one-stop shop, including officiant (who was amazing)! Our wedding planner, Yhas, was responsive, specific, and thorough while planning our events. Recommendations provided for hair/makeup and photographers were extremely helpful. Based on our selections, it is evident that they ensure they are recommending reliable individuals that are exceptional at what they do. Priscilla was very easy to work with, attentive, and provided whatever was needed throughout the wedding events. Other staff throughout the stay were helpful and friendly. Their ability to pivot with weather unpredictability was appreciated. It rained during the Welcome BBQ but it went on as planned on the beach (under a tent), including a bonfire (which the staff had protected until the rain passed). Day of the wedding was a breeze: staff brought bouquets and provided information/reminders for the ceremony and everything was on schedule. The acoustic guitarist that played during the ceremony and cocktail hour was exceptional. The garden ballroom’s decorations and ambiance was stellar and very romantic. The food at Eclipse, which also prepared the Welcome BBQ, cocktail hour hor d'oeuvres, and wedding reception dinner, was delicious. Guests loved and enjoyed their stays and the wedding events. As for us, we couldn’t have picked a better place for our wedding. Overall, it exceeded our expectations. We cannot wait to return for an anniversary.

Beautiful venue that did all the hard work for me!
Villa Montaña was exactly what I was looking for, a place that would handle pretty much everything for me and that would have beautiful boho decor. I didn’t want to deal with multiple vendors or with having to make a lot of decisions. After booking, Yhasmina (who is super responsive and friendly!) gave me a checklist, and I just had to pick what I wanted. I liked that everything was done through email. The wedding team was good at making sure everything flowed smoothly during our two-day event, and I was able to just enjoy the ride without worrying about the details. All of our guests commented how beautiful the resort is! Overall a great experience for our wedding!

Wonderful!
We had a wonderful experience working with Yhasmina, Priscilla, and the crew at Villa Montaña. They were responsive, attentive, and flexible to last minute changes. We held a welcome dinner with a pig roast and a bonfire, wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and an after party with sparklers. I highly recommend splurging for these additions because they truly made for a magical and memorable time. Also, DJ Joe Almeda did a fantastic job achieiving our vision for the music selection. Our guests had a fantastic time and several commented that it was the best wedding that they had ever been to. We are very happy that we selected Villa Montaña for our destination wedding venue.

The most perfect day
VMBR was exactly the vibe I was looking for in a wedding venue. Boho beach vibes with amazing food.. and the view! I followed VMBR on Instagram for a year and a half before I had the chance to visit.. and oh my goodness, the grounds and the staff really exceeded my expectations. Everything was exactly as I a imagined it and as it was pictured online. Yhasmina was a dream to work with and with the complications of COVID regulations she made sure that I stayed up to date. There’s nothing I would’ve changed.

Absolutely a Dream
I didn't didn't think it would take so long to write my review, but hey life happens. I got married here June 19th, 2021. All I can say about my wedding and this venue was that it was and absolute dream. I was not able to visit due to living in the states. They made my dream wedding come true down to every little detail. I will cherish these memories for the rest of my life. The food and drinks were amazing everything tasted so good and communication was pretty easy for the most part. The decorations process was so easy as soon as they sent me everything via Pinterest! My guest had so much fun the DJ played great music! I had a small intimate wedding but Villa Montana made it one I would never forget so thank you

Incredible- Dream Wedding
Impeccable service, perfect planning, & our dream venue by the ocean. Reception space was so well decorated, & they made everything super easy. Perfect! Florals were beautiful, decor was absolutely gorgeous, planners were kind & patient, food and cake were delicious, officiant they suggested was awesome- very professional. The Only complaint was the DJ they recommended (Joe Almeda)- he played the wrong song for our entrance anddd first dance, + shuffled and repeated a few songs after. But after speaking with him he got it together. Otherwise we had a ball- they even provided sparklers & we had a bonfire after our reception. Guests had the time of their lives ✨

I will keep this simple: choose this vendor and hotel. We planned a quick wedding in 9 months because the hotel had little availability left once we decided to get married and we jumped on the only open date and it was worthwhile. Perfect wedding weekend
I cannot say enough wonderful things about my wedding at this resort. In 2018 my fiance and I went to visit the resort for a long weekend and do a tasting. By Monday morning the coordinator, Yhasmina, already sent me an email with a breakdown of every food/drink we liked. Since then planning the wedding with Yhasmina had been so easy even dealing with COVID and 2 postponements. I had sent her many emails over the years with questions or updates and she responded quickly and efficiently to all of them. Even when we had to postpone twice she was more than willing to help us by providing alternative dates and automatically transferring all the room reservations for us and guests over to the new dates.
When the wedding weekend finally came I was shocked at how attentive her assistant Priscilla was. I had things delivered to the resort directly for the guests' welcome bags (cases of water, snacks) and she had staff bring it right to our room. She took down the breakfast orders for my bridesmaids and me the night before the wedding and it was brought right to our villa on time while we were getting ready. I was concerned how my husband and I were going to eat during the cocktail hour as we were taking pictures with the photographer but the resort surprised me by bringing us our own platter with hors-d'oeuvres. Priscilla was so attentive bringing me drinks, my flip flops from the villa so I could dance, and even napkins to wipe my face when I got super sweaty and had to take pictures in front of the cake.
Despite the nightmare that was wedding planning during COVID, I feel that it was not nearly as horrific as it could have been because Villa Montana was so helpful. We have been talking nonstop how we wish we could relive that weekend and how all our guests said they had such a wonderful time.

Would not change one single thing, best day of my life!
I was just married at Villa Montana and I honestly could not have had a better time. The pictures do not do this place justice. We booked before ever seeing the grounds and I’m so thankful we went with our gut choice. This pandemic has been so stressful for our husband and I so planning a wedding seemed almost impossible. Yhasmina, Priscilla and the rest of her crew made sure every single detail was taken care of. They made the whole planning process fun and took away the all the stress. Yhasmina was super responsive and never left me hanging not even once. On the day of the wedding Priscilla was there from start to finish and I knew I did not have to worry about anything. I felt like they were two close friends who genuinely cared about my day. Their team and the restaurant works sooo hard. The rooms were beautiful and the beds were so comfortable. I read a review on Facebook that said the portions were small at the restaurant and I could not disagree more. The food was amazing, large portions and for a great price. We had 70 guests and everyone had great things to say. Multiple people told my family this was the best wedding they have ever been to. I couldn’t be happier with my time spent here. The only

Pandemic Wedding
Our Wedding was held August 8, 2020 during the COVID -19 pandemic. As you can imagine there were so many challenges to accomplish everything from a distance. The Hotel staff worked with us all the way until the end to make it Happen. It was wonderful.

Perfect, despite the unthinkable
After over a year of planning a destination wedding, everything seem to fall apart in the past couple of months due to Covid. I am leaving this review because the customer service I was given throughout this hard time was unlike any other. My planner Yhasmina felt like a close friend who was communicative with me almost every day and supported me through this hard time. The absolute BEST!
Our wedding (extended) weekend at Villa Montana was absolutely PERFECT. I wish that I could relive it over and over again.
We planned our wedding from afar, before ever stepping foot on the property - I was NOT disappointed upon arrival. The wedding planning team helped us bring our Pinterest ideas to life. They made the process SO easy. Seriously -- thank you ladies! Every detail of this place is absolutely stunning. The food was great. The staff was accommodating. The details were gorgeous. My guests we SO happy.
We had 57 guests travel from all over the world and join us at the resort for 3-5 days. The entire resort is gorgeous. It felt like were were at adult summer camp and we had the time of our lives.
It is hard to put into words just how perfect this entire experience was. I am so very grateful and cannot wait to return to Villa Montana year after year.
So much love for this place and this experience.

Everything I dreamed of
Villa Montana is the most beautiful resort in Puerto Rico. We were engaged for nearly an entire year without much luck in finding a venue that looked the way we envisioned, worked with our budget, and had enough room for all of our guests to stay the entire weekend (it was very important for us that guests sleep in the hotel because we didnt want people traveling more than they needed to). Our planner Yhasmina was on top of her game since day 1 with all our email communication, when we met her for our food tasting, and of course during our special weekend. I cant stress enough how fantastic our planning was, and how gorgeous everything turned out. If you choose this hotel, you will not be disappointed.

We looked at dozens of venues in the Caribbean, but nothing compared to the beauty of this resort, or the fast and professional service we received from Yhasmina. Planning a destination wedding is not easy, and its eye opening in very many ways, Im glad we chose this hotel and would do so again in a heartbeat. One of the most important things to both my husband and I was the food, we have eaten around the world, and we know good cuisine. Happy to say the Eclipse restaurant and the executive chef delivered on every level. Thank you to all the staff for helping us plan our dream wedding!!!

I will never forget!
I dont even know where to begin this review, but I will never ever forget not just my wedding date, but the year of planning with the amazing Yhasmina Sophia Tiphaine who made everything easy, fast, and transparent (not to mention beautiful). We hosted 88 guests over a long weekend wedding in November of 2018, and our guests are still calling and texting their support and appreciation for what has been called the best wedding they've ever been to :) We did not want a cookie-cutter event, we wanted our guests to enjoy nature, the beach, exotic food, and tropical weather...and Villa Montana delivered, plus more. I stumbled upon Villa Montana online while looking for a place for a destination wedding for my best friend. I thought, why not, i'll reach out and see what they offer. What I found was a complete hidden gem. Yhasmina was one of the most incredible and responsive people I have ever worked with. She sent proposals within minutes, was always responsive and happy to help with any question or concern. Being a former wedding planner, this is something that is invaluable to me. This place was absolutely beautiful. Yhasmina made it and easy and stress free experience. She answered all my questions quickly and had great recommendations for other vendors. Mara did an excellent job with our tasting and with executing the wedding. The details were unbelievable. The food was delicious and everyone raved about it. My husband said that he will forever remember the look on Mara's face when the bridal and us jumped onto the pool. I cant thank them enough for how wonderful everything came out.

From the beginning of the wedding process to even the day after our wedding we experianced exceptional hospitality. The whole process was made completely stress free. The day before our wedding Mara let us see the room where our reception was held and we were completely stunned and even more so when it was complete the next day. Our decoré and food was exceptional! Mara made sure we have food and drinks during our whole wedding. Our wedding was us to a T. Mara and staff made our dreams come true. We already said we will be back here to renew our vows! There is no other place that I would recommend!

Yhasmina Sophia was soooo wonderful to work with when I was looking to do a destination wedding at this location. She was super responsive and answered ALL my Bride to be questions! I had the wedding of my dreams at Villa Montaña. I know it sounds like I'm exaggerating, but I'm not. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and I always dreamt of getting married there. Unfortunately, many of the venues on the island are indoors, air-conditioned and (in my humble opinion) hide the beauty of the Puerto Rican coast: the sun, the waves, the salty wind... My husband and I chose Villa Montaña because a) we had stayed there as guests many times and are kind of obsessed with the place + the food and b) we felt it really showcased the rustic beauty of island home. Now, I'm not a hands off type of bride. I had a very specific vision for what I wanted. From having a bonfire beach party on Friday to the after-party in the back room...there were tons of logistics to iron out. Yhasmina, Jessica and the team at Villa Montaña went above and beyond to cater to all my whims. Moreover, they anticipated them! The day of the wedding they were going around the property adding all sorts of tiny details that made everything even more special. The wedding was everything I could've wished for and more and I'm forever grateful to Villa Montaña for making it happen. If you're looking to have a real oceanfront wedding I honestly wouldn't look anywhere else. I'll also add that most of my wedding guests traveled from really far (most from Europe). Villa Montaña offered them a great tropical escape. They not only enjoyed the wedding, but I keep hearing from them about how much they enjoyed the vacation overall and how they can't wait to go back. OK, I'm going to stop now but seriously, this place is the best.

We were just married on January 13,2018 here! We planned a destination wedding with the help of Yhasmina in approximately four months and through two hurricanes! This venue was absolute perfection! The resort was gorgeous and they were working hard up to the day of to make sure everything was as picturesque as ever. On the journey from San Juan to Villa Montaña you can certainly see damage and roadwork being done as repairs are being made and as Puerto Rico is bouncing back—but once inside the gates of Villa Montaña, you will barely notice a single thing! Yhasmina’s assistant,Mara, was on site and was so sweet,responsive,and helpful through our entire stay. That team is a dream to work with!!! We were the first wedding at this venue since Hurricane Maria and the owner,Jessica, knew us on sight when we stepped out of our suite with the champagne that was left in our room with a handwritten letter welcoming us. She came over and welcomed us personally! Jessica and really everyone showed such sweet enthusiasm and appreciativeness that we had trusted that our wedding would happen here regardless of the hurricane and we are so happy we did! This resort has so much vintage and rustic charm. We got our dream southern,rustic style wedding but with the gorgeous views of a Caribbean backdrop. The food at Eclipse is DELICIOUS as well!! Everything was so perfect and it is such a stress-free,all inclusive planning process. It was everything we dreamed of and more. It was a perfect day thanks to each and every staff member. We will certainly be back!!

From the moment that I saw this venue online, I knew that this would be the venue for us. I planned the entire wedding from afar and worked primarily with Yhasmina. She is INCREDIBLE and extremely detail orientated which made me feel extremely comforted. I made so many changes over the course of a year and she was so understanding every time that I changed things! The venue exceeded my expectations and was beyond beautiful from the moment that I arrived. Everyone was so accommodating and really understood my vision for our wedding. Our family and friends had an incredible time and I couldn't have asked for anything else. It felt as though I was living a dream on our wedding day and I know that everything went so smoothly due to the amazing team at Villa Montana. Simply perfection a Pinterest worthy wedding! That’s the best way to describe Villa Montana’s weddings. We began conversation with Villa Montana around August 2016 about our wedding dated for June 26th, 2017. Yhasmina was quick to send us information on their weddings. I have to note that I was planning the wedding from California and was nervous as I had chosen a venue blindly based on pictures. Let me tell you that Yhasmina was extremely easy to work with. She answered ALL of my questions and was always available to me. She’s EXTREMELY detailed oriented and as soon as you make a change to your wedding details, she notes on the wedding plan and sends you a copy of it immediately. There should be no confusion on the wedding day as everything is perfectly noted on the wedding plan.
Villa Montana executed my vision and honestly surpassed it. We hosted our reception in the garden ballroom, and let me tell you, the pictures, although beautiful, don’t do it justice.. The day of the wedding we were provided Josie and Marta as our day of coordinators; THEY WERE FANTASTIC. They knew every single detail to my wedding plans and there was NOTHING for me to worry about as they took care of all the task. They kept me and my guests in schedule. The ceremony in the gazebo looked so beautiful. The cocktail hour was a perfect idea and the drinks and food were delicious, but the reception- STUNNING. I remember getting a peak of the reception décor before the wedding and I cannot express how beautiful they had left it. All the tables were filled with candles and flowers. They were successful in taking my inspiration pictures and executing it to even more than I could every want. If you decide to host your wedding here, you can be sure they will do an amazing job for you. All of the wedding team was an A team, starting with Yhasmina, to Josie and Marta. My wedding weekend at the Villa Montana Beach Resort (VMBR) was a dream come true. My now-husband and I went to PR to look for wedding venues in San Juan and picked another location. But due to bad customer service and changes in room pricing, we ditched them and started our search over again. We were looking for a venue that was as all-inclusive as we can get, and we had to rely heavily on reviews online. Due to its raving reviews, we reached out to VMBR and was connected with Yhasmina Sophia, their coordinator. Yhasmina was so pleasant and answered every single one of my questions, and my mother-in-laws, without hesitation or making me feel like I was asking dumb questions or being a bother. This venue was the most all-in-inclusive I could find in Puerto Rico. I hired them to cater and decorate the Welcome Dinner on a Friday night, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. That included the flowers, décor, drinks, food, wedding cake, DJ (I got my own), even the officiant. The whole event ran so smoothly! On Friday they coordinated with us to rehearse the ceremony, and was patient with my bridal party is was always late. The welcome dinner was delicious, the décor gorgeous and romantic, on the beach. We got the fire pit and s’mores, that was a hit. Then they let us play our music till pretty late. On the day of the wedding, they made sure everything moved along. We hired their violinist for the ceremony and she and her partner were so good! The drinks and appetizers at the cocktail hour were so good! They rode my husband and I to the reception venue in a golf cart, that was funny. The reception was decorated just as we discussed and looked like a dream, pinterest eligible pictures because it was so gorgeous. On Sunday we had coffee and pastries delivered to our suite for our guests, and that was delicious too! All of my guests were raving how this was the best wedding they have ever been to, that it was so beautiful. I would 1000% recommend VMBR for weddings.

My now husband and I knew we wanted to have a destination wedding in Puerto Rico as it has a special place in our hearts. We had scoured hundreds of wedding venues online and on multiple websites before blindly booking with Villa Montana Beach Resort. At first we had reservations putting a deposit on a venue we never visited, let alone in Isabela (West side of the Island), away from the tourist areas (San Juan). And I will tell you it was the best decision we ever made! Yhasmina, the wedding coordinator was so detailed in all the wedding inquiries that we knew it wasn't her first rodeo and knew we had to lock in this venue for our date. Yhasmina was super prompt with answering our questions and allaying our fears. On our next trip to Puerto Rico, we managed to finally visit our wedding venue and it exceeded all our expectations. This venue is gorgeous!! The food was awesome! This is the venue for the beach bride! It was super private and secluded, which made the ceremony very intimate. We had our beautiful ceremony beachside and the reception at the Eclipse (Villa Montana Beach Resort's restaurant). Yhasmina, Jessica, Carla, and Josie made everything happen from the details of the ceremony arch, to the bouquets (which I loved soooooo much) to the reception decor. As the wedding day could be stressful and hectic, Villa Montana was super accommodating and handled everything (even all my excessive personal touches) so that we could relax and have a good time! I could not recommend this place enough!! All of our guests loved it here and I secretly wished one of them would have a wedding here just so I can be at this beautiful place again! Maybe we'll come back for a vow renewal. Bonus if you love dogs, they have a cute ones there.

Wow, how do I start this review?
Yhasmina who we emailed the entire 10 months before our wedding was so attentive and informative. She had everything so organized for us and knew exactly what I wanted for the big day. She made this wedding process so easy and stress free! I never thought planning a wedding would be SO much fun! Being a photographer myself I know how the process goes and have seen brides go crazy, but she made me feel so important! We are so thankful for her time, patients, and amazing skills!
Day of the wedding we had Genie our florist who woke me up with my bouquet and literally made me cry! My bouquet was beyond gorgeous, colorful, and fresh! I've never seen flowers so beautiful than the ones the day of our wedding. Thank you for doing such an amazing job in creating my color scheme! Also thank you for making it happen with the gazebo flowers, I wasn't sure it could have been done, but you guys made it happen! I literally could not stop crying while walking down the aisle... It took my breath away!
Josie, omg! Our day of coordinator who was SO attentive. She literally made our whole day such a breeze. She was so sweet, concerned with how I was feeling and just overall a doll! We could not have asked for a better person that day. She made our dreams come true! Villa Montana is the best place on earth for a wedding. They know how to work as a team, they know how to create your unique style, and they are overall phenomenal resort!
Eclipse restaurant, wow! Our guests could not stop raving about the food! They loved the ahi tuna tacos during cocktail hours, they loved the fresh fish during dinner, and those drinks! We literally lived the rich life for once in our lives and we are beyond grateful for all of your hard work. To the chef thank you, for everything! We love everything about our wedding and we couldn't be any more pleased with the turn out!

Wow...I don't even know where to begin! Our wedding at Villa Montana with 95 guests who flew from all across the US to join us was beyond a dream come true. From the moment we began our interaction with Villa Montana, and Yhasmina in specific, it was easy, detail-oriented, organized, quick, flexible, creative, you-name-it. The planning process was one of a kind. The entire wedding team is incredible at what they do and it shows. We had an entire weekend packed with events every day from Thursday night through Saturday night that were executed flawlessly by the team on the ground - Jessica, Josie and Alba. They were truly amazing. We had a modern Jewish wedding and the entire team was super helpful in working together with us to incorporate all of the traditions we wanted to include. We are eternally grateful - and feel incredibly blessed that we had the opportunity to have our wedding at Villa Montana. It was absolutely MAGICAL - in every sense of the word. We had a rather large group for a destination wedding and were lucky enough to to have the beautiful gazebo overlooking the ocean for the ceremony, the grounds for our cocktail hour and the lovely Eclipse restaurant for our reception, We were allowed access to the O Ballroom for photographs. We enjoyed working with absolutely everyone there from front desk to wedding planners, the hotel manager, the restaurant staff and the owner all worked as a team to pull off an absolutely perfect event! The food was delicious, the flowers exactly what we asked for, the cake was beautiful and tasty, we were reassured throughout the entire year of planning that they would take care of everything and they delivered!! It was not only the most beautiful wedding but completely stress free!! The accommodations were elegant but also cozy and comfortable!! I can't recommend this place highly enough!! We are all very happy we chose to have our daughter's wedding there! They met or exceeded our expectations on every single level! We will return there to enjoy hospitality at its finest again and will definitely recommend you to our friends!!!

I just had the most amazing wedding here last Saturday. It was a destination wedding so everything was planned through email. It was so easy and stress free. Everything about the day was beautiful. They took care of EVERYTHING so I did not have to worry at all. The staff was so nice and friendly. all of our friends and family who attended said it was the prettiest most amazing wedding they had ever been to. I would suggest this resort!! They even helped us hold a morning after brunch which was a huge hit. All food was amazing, decor was beautiful. I wish I could rate more then 5 stars!!!

We had our wedding at Villa Montana on July 12, 2014 and it was truly perfect. Alain, Jessica and Yhasmina Tiphaine exceeded our expectations and helped us throw the most beautiful and unforgettable wedding weekend with our family and friends in Isabela, Puerto Rico.
We chose Villa Montana for its laid back vibe, tasteful décor, wonderful food and perfect location right on the ocean. We also loved the fact that neither we nor our guests had to leave the resort the entire weekend — with incredible pools, restaurants, bar, spa, activities, and of course long stretches of gorgeous beach, Villa Montana has everything guests could want and need.
We planned our wedding from out of town, and Alain, Jessica and Yhasmina made it easy. Yhasmina was our contact throughout, and she was well organized, detail-oriented and attentive. We coordinated everything with her over email and phone. We sent her inspiration images of flower arrangements, table arrangements, wedding cakes and overall laid back “beach chic” feel. They nailed it: the flowers and table decorations felt very much like our asthetic and the cake, food and drinks were perfect.
Jessica and Alain were hands-on the entire weekend, which helped us feel at ease and allowed us to enjoy ourselves while they sweated the details. We had a welcome beach bbq on Friday night and ended the evening with a bonfire on the beach. It was a great way to welcome our guests and it really set a perfect tone for the weekend.
The wedding day was everything we could have asked for. Jessica was there for us every step of the way, checking in to make sure we were doing okay and that everything was in order. She was great! Our guests loved the food and drinks and we loved that it was a beautiful ceremony and memorable reception. We can’t recommend Villa Montana highly enough for an unforgettable beach wedding.

Can I please rate them 10 stars?!?! There aren't enough words to describe how AMAZING Villa Montana and their entire wedding team of coordinators are!! Their responsiveness, attentiveness and attention to detail is remarkable. Yhasmina was awesome with the whole planning of the wedding and Josie and team were incredible the weekend of, and were there to ensure that everything was going perfect, and it if wasn't, they were there to make it right! You know the service is incredible when it's the owner of the hotel, Jessica, who executed every single detail of the flowers, the props, the table settings. She has such an incredible vision... It is her style and vision that made my husband and I pick this venue with the perfect combo of beach backdrop and lawn with gazebo (I didn't want to walk on sand for my ceremony). The way everything was set up looks like something that you have on your Pinterest and wish you could do... Well trust me, Jessica created it, and it was all so organic. She actually buys all of the pieces from things she buys and collects from her travels so everything is authentic. The welcome dinner with Bon fire and our DJ on Friday was awesome and our ceremony on the oceanfront lawn and gazebo, then reception at Eclipse, followed by a live performer and her band at the O backyard by the lit up tree, and the after party at all of O was SPECTACULAR!!! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue, or a more perfect staff!!! Everyone is still talking about how it was the best wedding they have been to. We had about 85 guests that flew in from the states and the rest came from San Juan. It was a piece of paradise for all of them! Thank you for the best day of our lives!

There is no doubt that Puerto Rico has some of the most beautiful locations for weddings in the world. But Villa Montana Beach Resort in Isabela, is the most beautiful of them all. With only 5 months to plan my wedding I wanted what every bride dreams of, the perfect location, at the right price and an unforgettable ceremony and reception.
There was little time for planning and a lot of arrangements to make but with only one meeting with Jessica Tiphaine, owner of the resort, all my worries were at ease. She understood my vision and translated in the most amazing event I’ve ever experience. We had a beachfront ceremony, a cocktail reception, dinner reception and an after party. The decorations were exquisite; she created a Boho chic style, with blue mason jars, antiques and my favorite flowers hydrangeas and orchids. Food selection, created by Chef Jeremy Cruz was a blend of the best puertorican dishes with an international touch, everything on our menu was delicious.
We flew our family from the US plus we had many other friends and family coming from the Island, we spent four amazing days at the resort. You could feel the love and the good vibes everywhere you went. All our guests were extremely happy with the service and the facilities.
I will be forever be grateful to Jessica, her husband and their entire staff for making my family and guests feel welcome. But most of all, for giving me the most amazing day of my life. We look forward to the day that we can go back and have an anniversary reunion; everyone is begging us to go back!!

I wish I could express every feeling about my wedding at Villa Montana Beach Resort it was truly the best time of my life!!! From the first day we arrived and entered the enchanted gate at Villa Montana was unforgettable. My wedding was April 28,2015 and I had 23 guests that joined me. My new husband and I went into this whole experience pretty blind ( we both have never been to Puerto Rico, we didn't do as much research- I know pretty crazy with a wedding and all) but I won't have changed a second because it was an amazing experience for everyone!!! We worked with Yhasmina and I can't say enough about how incredible she was. She made both my husband and I and all our guest feel like celebrities!! Everyone you encountered at Villa Montana was so nice and so welcoming you truly felt so happy no matter where you were. The wait staff are complete gems my husband and I stayed for our honeymoon after the wedding for 10 days we met so many cool people ( Jonathan, Charlene, Princess, Dalney all of the wait staff at the Eclipse and O Restaurant were amazing!!) I wouldn't have changed a second of my wedding day!! The decor was straight out of a movie set and the food was to die for. Please take it from a bride who defiantly went with her gut on all of her wedding planning it was simply the best time of my life!!!!

I'm currently at Villa Montana watching the gorgeous sunset the day after our wedding. Words cannot possibly describe how thrilled we were with the entire experience. BEST WEDDING EVER. We mainly worked with Yhasmina to coordinate the details via email. She was incredibly responsive, organized and lovely throughout the entire planning process. On site, the beautiful Josie and Jessica created a dream like, rustically chic ambience for both the bonfire and the wedding. Their attention to detail and design sensibility was astounding. It was like working with the best wedding planners in NYC (where we and many of our guests are from). Jessica even surprised me with creating a Tuscan inspired table scape with draping Eucalyptus leaves that I had pinned on Pinterest. The food was some of the best wedding food I have ever had...locally sourced and plated to perfection. Again, this is coming from a critical NYer. The staff was lovely and incredibly accommodating to our 87 plus guests that all stayed on premise.
Brides, if you want a destination wedding in a beautiful location and don't want to sacrifice decor, food and ambience... This is your place!!! I literally was not stressed out for one second of this whole process and enjoyed ever single second of this weekend. Love you Villa Montana!!!! We will be back:)

Our wedding was more beautiful than we dreamed it could be! The attention to detail was superb and the service absolutely fantastic! Our wedding weekend was more than we could have dreamed of and we have Villa Montana to thank for that. They were so kind, helpful, personal, and prompt. They walked us through every step in the process of planning a destination wedding. From the flowers and decor to the reverend, every single recommendation they provided was amazing.

We booked our wedding at Villa Montana after considering a dozen or so other locations. Villa Montana seemed to have the perfect package: beautiful tropical location, great restaurant, plenty of room for our guests, plenty of activities to appeal to everyone... We worked extensively with their wedding coordinator, Yhasmina, and she was phenomenal! She let us personalize every detail in a way that made much of the planning enjoyable (and never the least bit overwhelming). From day one we always felt that she had our best interests in mind & found great comfort in that, having never scouted the location & doing all of the planning remotely from Midwest US. Yhasmina did not disappoint. Everything from the flowers, to the rehearsal bonfire, to the decorations on our table at Eclipse, etc etc etc, far exceeded our expectations, and if we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a single thing. If you are looking for a top notch wedding destination in an ideal tropical location, with amazing staff to help you with every detail, Villa Montana can deliver big time!

If you are planning to have a destination wedding, you must have it here! We took a chance and booked this place site unseen, and it exceeded all expectations. The resort wedding planner Yhasmina was on top of everything. She's incredibly responsive and helpful with all the little details that I had never considered. The onsite staff is incredible - very professional and the touches they added to the decor made everything more beautiful than I could have imagined. Friends and family all raved about the delicious food throughout the weekend, and had nothing but wonderful things to say about all events, from the beach BBQ rehearsal dinner to the wedding reception itself, to Sunday brunch. Of course the location on pristine beachfront and the beautiful weather all added to make it a perfect experience for all.

Villa Montana exceeded all our expectations and truly made our dream wedding a reality! We couldn't have dreamed of a more beautiful setting, friendly staff, delicious food, and exceptional service. We planned our wedding from Chicago, and wanted our wedding to be an intimate gathering as well as a fun filled weekend with our friends and family. We ended up having 60 guests, which was the perfect number for us. We wanted a setting that was not a large hotel chain, and a beach setting that was secluded and pristine. We chose Villa Montana initially because the resort has an amazing beach that is private (no other high rise buildings, and we did not want random people or a hundred beach chairs in the backdrop of our wedding), and we loved that our family had the option of staying in their hotel rooms or sharing a villa. Many of our guests choose to stay together in the villas, and all the villas were all beautifully decorated and large! We arrived to Villa Montana the Wednesday before our Saturday wedding, and from first checking the staff treated us so kindly. Anything we needed they accommodated immediately. We were also then able to go over all the table/seating details with our wedding planner, Jessica, so that when it came to our Welcome Dinner on Friday, and the Wedding on Saturday, everything was executed perfectly and we did not stress about anything! The food was beyond delicious - they have an amazing chef, and the staff were all friendly and hardworking! The decor, for both our Welcome Dinner and Wedding was so elegant and above and beyond what we could have imagined. We highly recommend Villa Montana!!!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was at Villa Montana. The location is magnificent, the food will blow your mind (and your guests), and the staff was very eager to make our day special. They allow you to be as involved as you would like to be during the wedding planning process - we opted to have them take care of most of the details and we were amazed by what they did for us.
What we loved most - the tropical, rustic chic feel, the gourmet food, the friendliness of the staff, the laid back vibe, the feeling like we had our own little remote piece of paradise to enjoy with our closest family and friends.
We chose to make it a weekend event for our 40 most loved people in our lives. We did a horseback ride with everyone the morning of the wedding, a welcome reception at O the night before for everyone. Our guests were delighted with the entire experience, saying it was by far the nicest wedding they had ever been to. :) Some of us chose to go surfing (or take surfing lessons) the day after the wedding. There was plenty of relaxing at the beautiful pool or amazing beach for those who wanted to take it slow, and plenty of adventure within minutes for those who were looking for that type of experience.
We were married in 2008 and have been back many times over anniversaries, with our two children and grandparents. It remains one of our favorite places to visit - even did Thanksgiving there one year as I was shooting a wedding at the resort.
Could not give this venue a better review. If you are thinking of doing a destination wedding this is simply one of the best places out there!
The resort itself is located very close to Aguadilla (BQN) airport. With a good map and directions your guests won't have any trouble at all finding their way. Cell reception can be spotty - b

Villa Montana was truly our dream Ceremony and Reception location. This place prides itself on quality service and results, I am so thankful and so happy to have celebrated one of the best days of my life at this gem. We hosted our wedding at Villa Montana, and they also handled the food/dinner, cake, alcohol/drinks, decor, flowers and the music. We hired a private vendor from the island (recommended by the hotel) for photography, and everything was just as we had hoped. Something that was very important to both my husband and I was that both of our grandparents be able to participate in the wedding and the festivities, and they were, villa montana was very accommodating to their needs and we couldn't be happier.

I just got back from my honeymoon and was eager to leave this review. Our wedding was just this past month on September 28, 2013 and what a beautiful event! Villa Montana Beach Resort was a dream come true for me, my fiancé, my daughter, and all of our guests. Nothing can beat the spectacular views this place has, or the impeccable service that they offer. I truly recommend this place to other brides, working with their wedding planner Yhasmina Tiphane was really great, she made planning a destination wedding a fun process. I want to rave about everything, including the food (a specialty cocktail was custom made for me and my guests, the "Jack n' Karen" which was a sweet twist on a traditional mojito with passion fruit), the hotel grounds, the service, the villas, and decor and much more. A tip to other brides: opt for the beach Bonfire on one of the nights that you are at the hotel, it was a great bonding experience with all of our loved ones. Thank you Villa Montana!

My destination wedding was everything I dreamed of! 13 months of planning and counting down the days was well worth it. Before making our choice we travelled to the island and visited a a couple of other hotels in the San Juan and ponce area but nothing compared to the intimacy and romanticism of this place. I felt very involved and the hotel was very flexible with a couple of our requests, which we couldn't be more grateful about. One of the most memorable things of our wedding was the food, our guests raved (which is not easy with a NYC crowd). If you want an intimate setting with great service and high quality food and breathtaking views, I highly recommend this place!

After I got engaged I knew exactly what kind of wedding I wanted. Well it wasn’t easy to find, and 3 years later I found Villa Montana. I knew I had to book a trip to go see it ASAP and when we got there I got all the feels! This place is truly magical. The food is soooo good, drinks are delish, and the wedding coordinators are beyond amazing. We had the pleasure of working with Mara, Kelly, and Yshmina and they were all incredible.
Puerto Rico was not ready for our crazy guests, but Mara worked extra hard to keep everyone happy. They did an incredible job with our rehearsal dinner on the beach, and the decor/florals were the prettiest I’ve ever seen! I cry thinking about how amazing my wedding weekend was. We did our reception in the Eclipse restaurant which over looks the gorgeous beach and an after party in the ballroom! Our guests had an amazing time and everyone can’t stop talking about how pretty it was. I can’t wait to go back to visit on our anniversary! <3

I was scared of planning a destination wedding via only email and phone calls, but the entire 13 months of planning were wonderful, Yhasmina was very organized, and the execution of the event was flawless in every detail. We had an AMAZING wedding at Villa Montana! I actually chose the venue based off the stunning pictures and website (I had never been there). I didn't even visit until a month and half before my wedding! That's how easy they make everything! Yhasmina is so wonderful to coordinate with through email. She made planning a destination wedding a piece of cake! And she recommended some really terrific vendors. Myself and my guests spent a few days there and had the best time ever. We did our rehearsal dinner in the Garden Ballroom with a Bon fire and s'mores after. The ceremony was on the grass and reception at the Eclipse Restaurant. Following the reception, we had another Bon fire on the beach and had the farewell brunch the next morning. (Side note: if you're there on a Saturday, book a dinner at the O Restaurant! We reserved a curtained bed to eat at with our friends a few days before the wedding, and they were so impressed)!
Overall, it was the most beautiful and outstanding wedding I have ever been to, and many of my guests agreed. The decor was perfect, and Josie, Jessica, and Alba were super helpful. Many of the staff there is willing to do anything to help you. There were a few things that went wrong (which will happen at any wedding, and I'm sure it was just my husband and I who noticed), but I think perhaps hiring a few more staff members at the Eclipse would help a great deal.
Here is my rating on all things guests care about:
Food=A+; Staff friendliness=A+; Decor=A+; Experience=A+
I am so, so pleased with my decision to get married at Villa Montana. I would recommend this venue to everyone!! I can't wait to go back and visit once we have children!

I was married at Villa Montaña Beach Resort on December 7, 2014. This was the most breath taking location for a beach wedding. The setting was like a dream made reality! The teal blue waves, clear blue sky, light breeze, it was literally perfect! The Wedding Coordinator Yasmina (aka the Latina Julia Roberts) is a Godsend! I was so blessed to have her follow up with me even after I mentioned to her that we couldn't afford to have our wedding there, based off of their regular wedding packages, yet she still made it happen, luckily I wanted something small (50 guests) followed up only by brunch (food was delicious!); Yasmina coordinated my wedding perfectly oh and her Co-coordinator Jessica was just as amazing. I'd recommend this venue again and again to anyone looking to get married in Puerto Rico! The good hearts of the staff at this hidden treasure are such a plus not too mention all the staff there look like models. My husband and I cant wait to go back!

Villa Montaña is truly a magical, romantic place and from the moment we visited it we knew this was the perfect location for our dream wedding!
The setting is just phenomenal! We planned our wedding from Orlando and travel twice to Puerto Rico for planning. We worked with Yhasmina for everything and she was on it. She answered any and all of our questions and even provided suggestions/referrals when needed. In our first visit, we met Jessica and with every visit she was there to walk us through all the details. We met Jessica in our first visit at VM. She was there for us on our visit for our tasting, our wedding weekend and is just a dream to work with.
Things we loved about VM was their attention to details, a great beach setting, the option that our family and friends had to share a villa, the food is delicious and the fact that it was not a typical hotel wedding. We got married in San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church but had our cocktail, reception and after party in the O Lounge (we were the first group in their new extension of the O Lounge and it is super sexy – very Miami lounge feel.) We also did a bon fire and wishing lanterns the day before our wedding.
The décor and flowers were AMAZING!! Our guests raved about the food and our signature drinks too. Not only was our wedding great but our stay at VM was great. Yhasmina and Jessica had a welcome basket for us, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for us in our villa upon arrival. This was such a great surprise!
We had a fairly large destination wedding, with over 92 guests of which 71 of those traveled from all over the US and England to attend our wedding. THANK YOU Villa Montaña for everything!!
Only CON is their front desk staff – very slow with our family and friends during check out. They need to be more efficient and speedy when you expect a large group of check outs.
My daughter celebrated her wedding at your Villa Montana Resort this past Saturday and although I normally don’t participate in surveys, reviews or anything of the sort, I thought it appropriate as a V.P. of Sales to share some observations and well-deserved congratulatory comments with you.
Our interactions with ALL members of the staff, from Operations (Priscilla is AMAZING) to Housekeeping were very pleasant. Their responses to all requests were quick and ALWAYS accompanied by a smile.
Even under difficult conditions, they managed to complete their tasks on-time and with commendable team spirit.
What I found most noteworthy (as having been in sales for 43 years), was the apparent dedication to “client satisfaction” exhibited by your employees. In my role as “father of the bride”, I was tasked with seeing that certain details were executed and this afforded me the opportunity to interact with members of the staff who were in charge of set-up of all flowers, tables, seating Etc. They were SO on top of their game that I actually felt like a “third wheel”. It was at that moment that I elected to memorialize their effort by photographing Arlene (see 2nd & 3rd attachment) who was so amazing in the execution of her duties while always showing the most beautiful smile. After this, I went to Eclipse to enjoy a beverage and received the exact same pleasant treatment from both Lexsa & Jose (see the 1st attachment) who graciously walked me through their comprehensive menu of tropical cocktails.
Look in their eyes…They love what they do and they’re proud to work in your resort.
Speaking as someone who has already stayed at Villa Montana twice, THIS is the type of place to which I would return time & time again.
As it has been overcast, rainy and damp here in New Jersey since we returned, we REALLY miss our morning oceanfront coffee & breakfast so pleasantly served to us by Edalia. We also miss the culinary genius presented nightly by your head chef and the outstanding service we received from Orlan, who always made the right recommendations of the meals to try. Finally, we will miss the heartfelt affection we always received from Violeta as we would enter or leave Eclipse…

Location is incredible--hire a wedding coordinator
Our wedding was a dream come true. The location is absolutely breathtaking and ideal for destination weddings. It was so special to have all of our closest friends and family in one location enjoying the beautiful property, food, and drinks with out the interruption of the metropolitan area. They have many things dialed in for weddings and some areas for growth. Everything leading up to our wedding with correspondence via email was organized but the day off could have been improved. After the wedding we followed up with our grievances and provided feedback and they were acknowledged and amended. With all that being said I would absolutely still have our wedding here again. The location, food, drinks, and beauty is spectacular. I highly recommend hiring a wedding coordinator to manage all the details and peace of mind.

Dream Wedding
The venue and wedding coordinator exceeded my expectations. The decor was immaculate. My coordinator was VERY responsive and helpful, I asked millions of questions and she always answered promptly and was always very polite. Everything from the ceremony, food, my bouquet, the cake was all phenomenal. If you are looking for a destination wedding place, this is it!

The best destination wedding venue
We just got married here this past weekend, and it was hands down the best weekend I could have hoped for. It is a little pricey, HOWEVER, it was well worth it. It was convenient to have so many of our guests in one place without having to worry about transporting everyone around. Everyone got to do their own thing and then meet up when they wanted, so they basically had a little mini vacation within the wedding weekend.
The food/drinks were amazing. The cake was amazing. The decor was amazing. Yhasmina and Priscilla were so great - I don't think it ever took them more than a day to get back to us on anything, and Priscilla kept everything running smoothly the day of the wedding. The wait staff also made sure that my husband and I got food during cocktail hour, and gave us dinner first so that we had time to walk around and see everyone for the rest of the night.
In addition to being a beautiful venue, VMBR really tries to do small things to make your day better, and it makes the biggest difference. Much love to this venue and staff!!!

Not the wedding we imagined due to covid.. but better than hoped for!
Of course nothing this year has been the way it was planned.. and the same applies to our wedding. Although our resort generously offered us the option to postpone our event, in our hearts, this was never an option, so we proceeded with the wedding and our loved ones who felt comfortable attending.. and in the end it was a DREAM AFFAIR!!! Blessed with this venue
We feel truly blessed to have chosen this venue, our wedding planner was always calm, communicative, and gave us a real sense of tranquility while planning a wedding mid-pandemic. If it hadnt been due to our coordinator Yhasmina's help during this time, we may have fallen apart. In the end we had the most intimate and totally gorgeous wedding, we didnt have to compromise at all from our initial vision. Blessed to have worked with this team!!

Our wedding was spectacular, service was amazing, the flowers/ decorations were beautiful. Mara and Yhasmina made this process easy and smooth. If it wasn't for them I would have turned to the biggest bridezilla.
Few things we dislikes were: the food, the curry was too spicy. There was i think two dogs that passed right in back of the gazebo area during the ceremony. The DJ was very to himself/dull and didn't even smile or say goodbye at the end of the night.
Nonetheless, this venue was great. :)

17 months of planning my dream!
I had my wedding at Villa Montana this past summer and this review is overdue! We hosted 101 guests for two consecutive nights of events, one night a beach cocktail to greet guests with and the second night the wedding of course. I gave myself enough time to plan my wedding, I had 17 months and im glad I did because I was not stressed at all. Villa Montana was a dream venue, and I can honestly encourage future brides to strongly consider it, our planner Yhasmina was wonderful and we were in great hands. Thank you Villa Montana!

Extremely responsive staff and my wedding day was literally my exact DREAM. I gave vague descriptions of decor and flowers and they came up with the most beautiful result, even better than I imagined! Mara is absolutely the BEST. We felt like she was part of the family by the end of the wedding. I replay this day in my head over and over again, and I wouldn't change one thing. From the beautiful beach to the unique Eclipse restaurant, amazing food and drinks, everything was perfect. And our guests had nothing but WONDERFUL things to say about the wedding. Wish I could do it all over again!

The entire group at villa montana were amazing and made sure our entire weekend was a success. Due to schedules and logistics, we only had 7 months to plan the wedding and I was nervous it would not be enough for planning a full 2 days of events for my guests, but my hotel planners were the greatest and have given me an amazing gift and memories. My husband and I are still coming off the high from our wedding at Villa Montana in beautiful Puerto Rico. The venue was spectacular, the staff was professional and incredibly friendly (special shout-out to the best server ever! I wish I remember her name, Collie, I think). Yhasmina was always on top of her game and made the planning from Maryland a seamless and stress-free process. We were lucky enough to have Josie as our wedding executor. We absolutely LOVE her!!! Our wedding festivities were so memorable and we enjoyed every minute of our time with our 54 guests that flew from Massachusetts (where we live), Colorado, Ohio, and Arizona. Yhasmina was extremely responsive through emails during the planning. Her commitment led to the most perfect wedding festivities. Upon arriving I expected to meet with Yhasmina to continue the process, but we ended up being greeted by Jessica instead. She was just as fabulous. Her positive energy and dedication to the services made our stay and festivities be more than we even expected. The wedding staff was also extremely helpful and flexible in making everything great.
The grounds of the resort creates an ambiance that can't be found at most resorts. The ceremony, the cocktail hour, and the reception were wonderful. The food, decorations, and staff were just as perfect. My only disappointment was the color of the flowers in the bouquets, considering the cost. I had wanted very neutral tones with a variety of flowers, but I ended up with mostly pink roses. The style was perfect, just the color was off. Luckily I'm not to picky, so I brushed it off. (This is the only reason I took a half off for value, everything else was definitely worth the money.)
We were suppose to have a bonfire after the wedding, but due to a short rain soaking the wood, the staff moved it to the next night. Having the bonfire the night after the wedding, topped off our stay with the guests and was a nice way to say goodbye and thank you for coming.
Overall, I would highly recommend Villa Montana for a wedding. Many of my guests, including my husband and I, would love to return for a vacation. My father asked if we would go back for our anniversary. Thank you Villa Montana!!

From the first time we visited Villa Montana we knew it was a special place. The surroundings are naturally beautiful and the vibe of the place is effortless charm. But don’t let that fool you, in the background Jessica and Yhasmina are working incredibly hard and paying attention to the details. They both were a pleasure to work with. As experienced as she is, Jessica makes you feel like your wedding is the only one that matters and she has a wonderfully genuine, calming presence. The food is superb – we’ve never had a disappointing meal at the Eclipse and we’re no strangers to that menu. Even more impressive, the quality isn’t diminished one bit when it’s prepared for a large group.

The wedding department staff at Villa Montana worked very hard to make our wedding a special event and exactly the way we envisioned it. Our communication and confidence was built through the thoroughness of our wedding planner Yhasmina. She listened to every detail and understood our ideas and vision and kept everyone up to date. Jessica worked tirelessly to get everything into place the weekend of the wedding reviewing every detail with us. We made all of the decor and so we were very particular about the overall aesthetic. We were delightfully surprised at how everything came together and we wouldn't have been able to pull it off without everyone's effort and patience.
This was an epic wedding event and we will forever remember this day and those that helped us make it happen.

First of all, one of the best parts of my wedding was working with the hotel's Wedding Planner Yashmina - it can be challenging to plan a destination wedding from Colorado, but she made it so easy!
We had a 74 person destination wedding, where all guests came from the states & stayed at the hotel. On the arrival night, the hotel opened the 'O' restaurant for our party that had just arrived to have a private dinner. The food was unreal, and guests were blown away! On Friday we had a Rehearsal Dinner, a beach BBQ with a beer/wine bar. The décor was beautiful and we were literally 10 feet from the water on the sad!
On the Saturday of the wedding Yhasmina brought me a bottle of champagne! The girls stayed in the 2 bedroom ocean view villa & guys were two villas away at a Garden view villa. We hosted our ceremony on the gazebo that is already on the beach (we were married legally at home so we hosted a symbolic ceremony), which was decorated beautifully and we hired our own private violin player (a friend of a friend) for a romantic feel. Best moment ever.
After the ceremony, we had a cocktail for guests while we took photos. I wasnt able to try the appetizers/drinks, but my guests said they were terrific. After, we moved to the Eclipse for the Reception, and honestly the best night of my life. Everything was GORGEOUS! I chose white/blush flowers, which went beautifully with the candles and silver details. We hired a DJ (private vendor friend) who was great. The food was AMAZING! We hosted a buffet so guests could try both the fish and the meat. We brought our own brownies for dessert (husbands mom is a pastry chef) & the hotel added a milkshake!
Overall amazing, so 'us'! The place is gorg, the staff is nice, the food & decor amazing, our wedding planner was wonderful, and the best is our guests were really impressed (I know this shouldnt matter, but if people are spending money on a destination wedding, you really care!). We hope to come back every year!

We wanted to plan a wedding in Puerto Rico, and found the perfect place. Once we spoke with Yhasmina, we knew we were in good hands. Her service and professionalism was bar none. She really bent over backwards to accommodate our small wedding party, and was always very quick to respond to any questions we had. Planning a wedding is nerve racking for any bride and a specially a destination wedding. All I can say is, Yhasmina makes the experience a really pleasurable one, and that is the way it should be....

My wedding at Villa Montaña this past June was all I wanted (except for the fiasco I had with the flower and Decor Co.) The place is spectacular and the food is to die for!! I brought help from outside, but you can let Mara handle everything!

Dream Destination Wedding Venue!
We held our destination wedding at Villa Montana in June 2024. The resort is beautiful and very private which was exactly what we were looking for. They also offer a wedding package which includes boho beach decor, food, drinks, flowers, and much more which made the planning process relatively simple and minimized the number of vendors we’d have to hire. We held a Welcome Beach BBQ on Friday night which was a great way to kick off the weekend and greet all of our guests. There was delicious food, a small bonfire and the most perfect sunset backdrop.
Our Wedding Day was absolute perfection! Our ceremony was held at the beautiful gazebo overlooking the ocean. We held our reception in the beachfront and romantic Eclipse Restaurant, and an After Party in the Garden Ballroom. Our wedding day Coordinator, Priscilla, made sure that the ceremony and reception all ran on schedule and that we had everything we needed throughout the day. It was a seamless day and such a special weekend for us, our friends & family. It was truly an experience we will never forget! That said, there were a number of issues leading up to the wedding that gave us concern about the logistics.
The Wedding Team is small, only available Monday-Thursday and all communication is done through email. Sometimes it took Yhasmina, the Wedding Planner, 3-4 business days to respond to a simple email, not to mention the random days and weeks where the office would close. If you don’t schedule a call in advance, they are not reachable by phone. The delayed communication made it more difficult to move things along or resolve simple miscommunications.
The room booking process for our guests was extremely inefficient. We needed to book about 35 rooms and in order to get the group room rate, wedding guests were instructed to email Yhasmina or call the front desk to book. This was a challenge due to the slow email responses and the fact that many people are uncomfortable sending their credit card details unsecurely through email. The front desk often doesn’t answer the phone either. I also booked and paid for a small block of rooms for our family and the front desk gave 1 of those rooms to another wedding guest without even checking with me first. We understand that mistakes happen but what made this even more frustrating was that Yhasmina refused to take any accountability for what had occurred. Furthermore, she attempted to blame us for the error stating that she had received too many emails from us and our guests to book rooms. There’s a simple solution for this: Update your website to allow group guests to book their rooms online.
We were told that we’d have until 4 weeks before the wedding to make changes to the contract. What we weren’t told was that any vendors that we book through the resort are locked in well in advance of that 4 week cutoff and cannot be cancelled. This information should be disclosed upfront.
Despite these issues, we could not have picked a more perfect venue to host our wedding and will certainly be returning. There are some small operational changes that can be made to improve the planning experience for future weddings and we hope that the feedback from this review is well received. Overall, we’d recommend Villa Montana whole-heartedly!

Perfect Destination Wedding Setting
I would highly recommend this venue to anyone that is looking for a romantic, destination wedding! I’m from Puerto Rico myself, and I have seen the Resort and it is an absolutely gorgeous setting for anyone! As if the resort wasn’t beautiful enough, the professionalism that Yhasmina Sophia provides is impeccable. She is responsive, precise, attentive to detail and willing to help out and answer all questions! Although we did not end up using VMBR for our venue, it has been a pleasure dealing with such a fantastic wedding coordinator! Thank you for all your help!

OMG!!! The venue is just spectacular and the service and food was outstanding. Mara, our event coordinator, was extremely attentive to detail, very personal and professional. She was nearby throughout all events to oversee that everything ran smoothly. We couldn’t be more thankful to have had her around :)). The waitstaff was the friendliest and happy to accommodate our guests however possible. We definitely feel like Villa Montaña thought of everything possible, creating a breathtakingly romantic and rustic vibe that carried seamlessly from the ceremony all throughout the reception. Thank you so much!! We would get married here every year if we could!! We’ll have to settle for coming back for our anniversary!

The venue is beautiful and the wedding coordinators are great and very professional.
Everybody enjoyed the wedding, and they were accommodating to our requests.
The price is in the high end in the area, but it was worth every penny.

I planned my wedding nine months ago and I looked every where in San Juan, Puerto Rico but when I came across this beautiful private resort I fell in love with the vintage and classy beach style it presented. When I first arrived, the day before the wedding, I immediately began to cry. My Fiance was concerned and asked me why was i crying and I explained they were tears of joy because the place was so beautiful and so much more than I ever expected! It was stunning in every aspect. From the grounds to the Villas we stayed in and the Eclipse restaurant open to the beach. Absolutely a dream come true! Yhasmina (my wedding coordinator) and I emailed through out the months. She responded to every email, concern and request I had within 24 hours. Considering that I live in Arizona, I did not have to worry about much. It was all taken care of and the end result did not disappoint! It was a dream come true indeed at what I felt was a very reasonable price!!

I truly cannot say enough about the services and our gorgeous wedding at Villa Montana! As soon as I saw Villa Montana online we hit the ground running with less than 5 months to plan our wedding. We paid the deposit and signed the contract without having seen the venue in person. I will admit that I was extremely nervous during our first visit as we were driving to get to the resort, but as soon as we arrived and saw the BEAUTIFUL venue, we were at ease! We communicated mainly with Yhasmina via email. She was extremely responsive and so helpful. Both my husband and I wanted an outdoor wedding near the beach and we could not have asked for a more beautiful setting. During our first visit we met with Jessica and Josie to tour the grounds, do the food tasting and finalize details. We had 75 guests flying in and most staying at the resort. We had a welcome dinner and bon fire the night before our wedding which turned out truly beautiful! The staff was so attentive during our wedding and so much fun! Our guests raved about the food and the decor for both our events. The details were so beautifully thought out! We were also able to rent out a beautiful ballroom for our after party. We truly had a dreamlike wedding. We plan to be back to celebrate our 1 year anniversary! Some of our guests have said they will be back as well!

Needs a new event planner, but is a beautiful venue
The only negative thing I would say about this place is that the Event Planner, Yhasmina, was very difficult to work with. It was very frustrating working with her because of miscommunication, her emotional unprofessional behavior, and unable to reach her because she is almost never in the office. By the way, you will never see her in real life. She will always appoint her assistant to meet with you (Which I truly believe should take Yhasmina's place because she was absolutely amazing and a great help). Other than that, the staff is very lovely, professional, and were very attentive to every detail! Beautiful venue and very relaxing atmosphere.

Planning a destination wedding is not an easy thing to do but Villa Montaña was the place for us. The decorations and flowers the day of our wedding day were everything I envisioned. The place is breath taking, so much character and the food is amazing. I truly enjoyed working with Jossie she is a true professional in her field. She knows what she is doing. She is the best she remembered the most minuet thing like the fact I liked a different salad that we did not pick for the wedding. Jossie was so attentive to me and to my bridal party. I cant say it enough how wonderful she is. Everyone from our wedding is still talking about the food, the decor, the drinks, the views. Truly an amaizing venue for those looking for a beach wedding. Something to think about for those planning a destination wedding, there is no hotel provided transportation for your guest from or to the airport but they do have taxi services. I would have enjoyed having someone I could have talked to on the phone at times about the wedding planning. My emails were always responded to in a timely manner but I personally enjoy that one on one phone attention. I feel it helps ease ones mind when spending so much money and planning from afar. Other than that our wedding was amaizing and the Puerto Rico based wedding planning crew were amaizing, sweet and attentive.
