The most beautiful, delicious Wedding Cake ever!

Villa Italia Bakery has been making cakes for my family members for many years and they are consistently delicious, which made it a no brainier decision to purchase our Wedding Cake from Villa! We ordered a gluten free vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and Cannoli filling, and it was the Wedding Cake of my dreams. Our wedding guests complimented it several times, and the pearl design was simply stunning! All staff at Villa and the manager, Tricia, were extremely friendly and helpful as well. I highly recommend Villa Italia for any occasion!

Villa Italia never disappoints!

Villa Italia made the wedding cake of our dreams! The tasting process was top notch; we had such a fun Saturday tasting all of the combinations and then sharing with family. We chose a vanilla cake with a layer of chocolate mousse and a layer of raspberry creme. We kept it light with whipped topping on the outside and this combination was to die for! We also ordered pastry trays which were well loved. Of course I always volunteered to go in person to inquire and pay for our wedding cake—never leave empty handed, always pick up a box of anything that looks good in the case (doesn’t everything look good there??). Thanks so much Villa Italia!

The best cake we've ever had

Villa Italia provided our gorgeous wedding cake, two cupcakes for our special birthday guests, and trays of pastries for our wedding. Tricia was so responsive throughout the planning process even when we added things on and had questions about logistics toward the end. She was so easy to work with! We got a yellow cake with chocolate mousse filling and whip frosting, and honestly, it was the best cake we've ever had. It was so soft and delicious-- several guests asked us afterward where it came from! Would highly recommend!

Wedding cake

We used Villa Italia bakery for our wedding of about 130 people. They had so many different cakes, frosting, and fillings to choose from. We decided to choose three without any additional cost. Their sample cake testing was only $30- worth trying. They delivered our cake to our vendor and our caterer served it. Our guests raved about the cake.

Breath taking

Can’t say enough about my wedding cake. We met with Mr Malozzi I told him I wanted a simple cake - he knows my husband very well and goes “oh no your cake needs to be amazing” he brought out a picture of a cake he did years ago and says “this is what your cake will be” it was beautiful. The day of the wedding I walked into the ballroom and it brought tears to my eyes! Can’t thank Malozzi and Villa Italia enough! And not to mention the cake was DELICIOUS!

Delicious Wedding Cakes!

Villa Italia provided cakes for my bridal shower and wedding, as well as cupcakes for our reception, all of which were extremely delicious. They were so courteous when we went for our tasting, and really helped us out in deciding which cake worked best for us! Their prices are reasonable, and they were very prompt with follow ups and delivery. Definitely will be using them again for future events!

So Beautiful

Our cake was a four tier cake with each layer a different cake type and flavor. Our cake tasting was perfect and delicious. The cake was delivered to our reception hall and it looked perfect! They used flowers from our florist and decorated our cake just how I had imagined!

Simply amazing! Villa italia is the best!

We met with villa Italia for our cake testing. We knew we were going to have them do the cake as they have done many cakes and pastries for us and our families before. They are the definition of professionalism. We tried different flavors, designed our cake and figured out other details. We are doing a 3 tier cake, 3 sheet cakes and 50 pounds of Italian cookies for 300 guests. We tried so many different flavors and fillings. Though there is a lot it’s so easy to pick as you can try so many options. The best customer service you will get. And it’s a family owned business! A five start rating isn’t enough for their quality of work!!

Cake tasting and cake itself

Cake tasting was a blast with so many options it was incredible, almost overwhelming. We settles on vanilla with strawberries and vanilla custard and marble with chocolate mousse. They delivered the cake to us and i had to do nothing!

Our wedding cake we ordered was from Villa Italia. Tricia took great care of us at the cake tasting and through the whole process. The cake look absolutely beautiful on our wedding day and tasted even better! I highly recommend Villa Italia as they are very professional!

We got our cake from Villa through our Mallozzi's package. Our tasting was incredible and we were aloud to try as many combos as we wanted to try. The cake was the best thing I've ever eaten!

Our cake was not only beautiful, but also absolutely declicious! The cake testing was so in depth as they made sure you were able to try all of the flavors and fillings to ensure that you would be happy on your big day! They were very easy to work with while also being budget friendly!

Our cake was so beautiful and delicious! The layers were so detailed and exactly as we requested. I loved the cannoli filling (yummmmmm); I really can't say enough good things! Everyone I know loves Villa Italia and we are no different. Our experience with them was one of my favorites, as they went above and beyond in making us feel important as a bride and groom, (as well as our MOH who joined us) and not just clients. We especially are appreciative of their commitment to ensuring my groom had plenty of gluten free gelatto to enjoy on our wedding day. The cake itself was even more beautiful than I imagined and the sparkles on our top tier that our consultant suggested really made all the difference to me. We booked River Stone Manor for our venue/caterer and their package includes an allowance for a cake here. We didn't even go close to our allowance with enough cake for 125 people. I'm pretty certain one of the first things we did after we found out we were using them, was do the cake testing; I'm talking 7-8 months before the ceremony. Who would want to wait! We couldn't decide of what flavor we wanted for we actually had 3 different types/flavors of cakes. Each tier was a different flavor. The cake was decorated beautifully. Everyone loved the cake and I can't wait for our 1 year anniversary so we can pull that top tier out of the freezer! Yumm!

Our wedding cake was absolutely stunning and delicious too. The staff at Villa Italia worked with us several months prior to our wedding and we chose to have a tasting, which confirmed with wanted their carrot cake with cream cheese filling and buttercream frosting. They had a large catalog of cakes to choose from and we were able to find one that fit our personality as a couple. It also fit within our budget, so we were quite pleased on that end as well.

I cannot rave enough about Villa Italia. Our cake was just stunning and tasted fantastic. Since our cake was part of our catering package with Mallozzi’s, we also had a gelato bar, which all our guests loved. We had such a fun time the day we picked out the cake, too. My husband and I went with my parents, brother, and sister-in-law, so it was a party, ha. We tried all the different cake flavors in combination with all the different fillings and frostings. Villa Italia was so nice and accommodating throughout. I whole-heartedly recommend getting your wedding cake from them!

Our package with Mallozzi's included a cake and gelato station from Villa Italia. I can not say enough good things!! Everything was so delicious and we got countless complements about both the cake and gelato bar. The cake was beeeeeaaaauuuuutiful!!!

Our cake and dessert station were part of our package with Mallozzi's. We also had the gelato station which proved to be quite popular. The accommodated my (now) husband's request for a special flavor, peach. Our 4-tiered cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious. The process of selecting the details for our cake was so much fun. The cake flavors were light and not overly sweet, same as the frosting. Having variety in the tiers helped accommodate those with different dietary restrictions (my mom can't have chocolate, so she loved the vanilla with raspberry cream). Staff was easy and great to work with. And the desserts were AMAZING!!! Wish I could do it all again!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST AND MOST DELICIOUS CAKE YOU'LL EVER HAVE!!!!!! Every guest loved it and raved about it, there were no leftover pieces on people's plates. This place makes the most moist and delicious cakes at a great price point. they are super friendly and easy to work with, and made a beautiful wedding cake. all of their pasteries are amazing too, especially the almond cookies which we had at each table. Those were all gone by the end of the night. The cake tasting youll do for the wedding is so much fun and a great way to pick the flavors for your perfect cake. We also got our rehearsal dinner cake from here (tiramisu) and again no leftovers, everyone loves the cakes they make.

We ordered our wedding cake through Villa Italia for our April 8, 2016 wedding. I had never personally had their cake but they came highly recommended. OMG it was beyond amazing. It was so soft and moist and way beyond any expections we could have had. We sent them a picture of what we wanted but wanted to change the main color. And I'll admit i was nervous. But it arrived to the wedding and i was in tears. It was BEAUTIFUL. We couldn't have asked for a better cake. It was our first time there but it will not be our last. Thank you SOOO much for making our day perfect by providing a perfect cake. Couldn't have imagined anything better or tastier!!!

Allow me to set the stage... A friend who had initially offered to bake our cake backed out a few months before our wedding because she realized how hard it was. No problem! We found another bakery, did a tasting and placed an order for our wedding cake, assorted desserts and cannoli. But then they never called me back and I started to panic. (Turns out they assumed our wedding was 2016, not 2015.) Villa Italia to the rescue! With just two weeks before the wedding, Tricia and the team accommodated our tasting and rather large order. We finally felt like we were in good hands.

Everything from Villa Italia was delicious and just as we had hoped. We got so many compliments on our dessert bar! Tricia and her team are true gems. In addition to making delicious and gorgeous desserts, they'll make you feel at ease about the dessert aspect of your wedding!

We got the cake for our November 1, 2015 wedding from Villa Italia and it was amazing! We had a rum cake with cannoli filling and whipped cream frosting, the guests all loved it, and the gum paste flower topper was perfect. Everyone was so nice and helpful, from the tasting to the final product, I would definitely recommend Villa Italia!

My husband and I have lived in the Albany area for our entire lives. We knew when looking for cakes, Villa Italia was the only place that we would use. We had a rum cake with raspberry and vanilla bean filling with a whipped cream frosting. We also bought 150 cupcakes in a variety of flavors. Everyone loved the cupcakes. We had none left after the wedding. Everyone brought them home. As for the cake. It was absolutely delicious. Villa Italia recommended the flavor combination and, while we were skeptical at first, we decided to go with their recommendation. We are so happy we did. The rum cake was amazing with the variety of flavors. I don't think I could use any other bakery for cakes, pastries, or cupcakes.

The day we went to go for cake testing the women there apologized for our wait because she was running late from the appointment ahead of us. She was so nice and kind, she even offered us a box of pastries to take home as an apology. The cake we selected was amazing and our guests would agree! We selected a chocolate layered cake with raspberries and chocolate mousse for ourselves and a marble cake with cannoli and raspberry filling. The guests were taken back by the quality of the cake, we received complaints all night about how good it was.

Villa Italia is one of our favorite bakeries and when our venue River Stone Manor mentioned that we got a cake credit to use at Villa Italia we were thrilled!

The whole staff there went above and beyond to make our dream cake come to life!

From beginning to end this was the easiest decision we made (and the most delicious). We had a small wedding of 70 guests and wanted to make sure that people really enjoyed the desserts. We were able to decide on 6 different flavor's of cupcakes, and then Chocolate Mice for our guests as well. We also decided to stick to tradition and order a 9" round cake with simple embellishments to cut. What made the cake so amazing, was that Villa Italia was able to take two Chocolate Mice and turn them into a bride and groom for our cake topper! Whenever we are in Schenectady we make it a point to go and buy Chocolate Mice, it was so wonderful and memorable that the bakers were able to do that for us! We both love Villa Italia and will continue to be customers of theirs, as well as recommending them to everyone we know!

My husband and I worked with Tricia as well as the head cake baker Beth at Villa Italia and were so beyond thrilled with our selection. They were incredibly easy to work with throughout the entire planning process. We had a three tier cake that was more than enough to feed everyone at our wedding and we even sent some people home with left over cake. It was a tremendous value compared to the other bakeries we were looking at using. Our wedding was one month ago and we are STILL receiving complements about how good the cake was. Our overall experience with Villa Italia was wonderful. We had a great time cake-testing and designing the look of the cake. When I started to explain the details I wanted, Tricia went and got Bobby from the back and he hand-sketched everything I described right there on the spot in perfect detail. The cake was truly breathtaking, one of the most beautiful details of our wedding, and the flavors were unlike any other. Villa Italia provided our wedding cake and a dish of pastries for 22 tables! They were both amazing. They are very easy to work with. Our cake had 5 layers. We were able to pick a different flavor and filling for each flavor. They even sent an extra cake on the side in case we didn't have enough. I have received so many compliments on how good the cake was and I feel like people talk about other parts of the wedding, not the cake. We had a great experience!

Villa Italia has amazing cake and amazing customer service. Our cake tasting was one of the best parts of planning our wedding! Everyone was so helpful and the finished product was just perfect. Our vendor told us that the only wedding cake he ever eats is from Villa Italia, because it's the best! We went with yellow cake, raspberry and cannoli cream filling, and butter cream frosting. I can't wait for our anniversary so we can eat the top tier!.

We ordered our wedding cake and our cupcakes for our wedding through Villa Italia. They were both delicious. We even ordered way above our guest count and only had a dozen left. Our guests were raving about our treats saying that they were the perfect amount of sweet. Tricia was my contact and she was a pleasure to work with. Picking out our cake was fun :)
There were many options to choose from and all the details of ingredients were easy to understand and how certain designs could be made.
They took what we wanted to do and made a gorgeous, unique cake with piano keys on the plate around the cake and music notes and flowers from my bouquet selection stairway up to the top. And it tasted AMAZING.
Such an easy company to work with and very friendly, too :)

Villa Italia is by far the best place to go to for your wedding cake. While it is so exciting to be engaged and start planning your wedding, it is also a very stressful time. Your cake tasting & selection should not be! My husband and I like to tell everyone that one of our favorite planning moments was going to Villa Italia for our cake tasting. It was amazing! The worst part about it was having to narrow down our choices; I wanted them all! The staff that we worked with were incredibly helpful and patient with us as we went back and forth on which combinations we loved the most. The cake turned out exactly how we pictured it; absolutely gorgeous and delicious! I am certain we will be back time and time again for future events!

Villa Italia was a no brainer for us. Being from the area of course you know they have an amazing reputation but after attending a couple bridal shows I didn't realize how easy it was to mess up a cupcake! Villa Italia has perfected their craft. Not only was our cake tasting the most fun experience of all the wedding planning, the cake was exactly what I had envisioned and tasted amazing! They were so easy to work with and once I placed our order there were no more worries. You can tell they are a very well run business and I felt completely at ease that we were going to get exactly what we wanted. If you want outstanding customer service from a highly experienced and professional bakery AND the best tasting cake around than Villa Italia should be a no brainer for you too!

Our wedding cake was amazing. We were able to do our cake testing and the treatment from the staff was great. The staff was very flexible and helpful with our needs when it came to selecting the flavors. We were able to do different flavors for different tiers. The topper fit perfectly. A great experience all around from the very lovely tasting appointment in the beginning to walking in and seeing our beautiful cake displayed at the reception. The wedding cake was fabulous!! As was the amazing food tasting that we went to. Although we kept the cake decorations very simple, the cake itself was to die for. We had two tiers of the cake be carrot cake and the other two were yellow with raspberry and vanilla custard. I actually ordered a separate cake for us for after the wedding (rum cake). Everything was above and beyond our expectations!

The quality of the cake was excellent, as was Villa Italia's willingness to accommodate delivery to Fort Plain (nearly an hour away from the bakery).
They handled last-minute requests easily and were very responsive throughout the process. Would recommend for any occasion.

We booked our wedding through Mallozzi's and received a $60 credit toward a cake at Villa Italia. We went to a complimentary cake tasting 3 weeks before the wedding and were offered a sample of every available cake, frosting and filling, with complimentary beverages. This was a very impressive tasting, with a platter filled with various options! We reviewed a large book with different pictures and Tricia was great to work with. In the end, we designed a custom 3 layer heart shaped cake, with 8", 10" and 12" hearts, with different cakes and fillings in each layer. The cake totally exceeded our expectations. Not only did it look incredible and unique, but it tasted amazing. The cost for the cake was $140 (after the $60 credit was applied). I highly recommend Villa Italia in every area!

Cake was amazing from Villa Italia. Our consultation was quick and easy - The consultant actually suggested the combination that we ended up with - lemon creme with a raspberry jam! Hands down the best wedding cake I've ever had! We used Villa Italia for everything -- our engagement party, my bridal shower and our wedding day. They did not disappoint! The tasting alone was incredible and we were ready to book on the spot! So many different flavors and combinations to choose from, we ended up getting two different flavors because we couldn't just pick one. The cake was absolutely stunning and looked exactly how I had been picturing it in my head. It was delicious and surprisingly affordable when compared to other bakeries in the area.

I love Villa Italia! I found all dealings with them to be professional, personable and FUN! Our wedding cake was not only gorgeous but two-thumbs-up delicious. We plan to order a small version of our cake every year for our anniversary. We brought the leftovers with us on our honeymoon and even though we had a delicious breakfast included in the price of our B&B we were so into our cake that we ended up eating some for breakfast every day until it ran out!

Tricia, the customer liaison, was wonderful. She knew the answers to my many questions and put me completely at ease. Our cake came included as part of the package for our reception hall as long as we stayed within the budget, which we were able to do easily.

Even if you know exactly what kind of cake you want, don't pass up the cake tasting. It was so much fun tasting the variety of cakes and fillings. The entire cake selection process was among the most enjoyable highlights of our wedding planning. Viva Villa Italia! Five stars, all the way.

We had a cake testing at Villa Italia back in November 2011 for our wedding in April 2012. We had a wonderful time trying all the various flavors and kinds of cakes. It was like a party in itself.
Our cake was delivered to the Stockade Inn for our reception and it just looked so beautiful. Just like all the pictures we had looked at- this one was a picture!! We had four layers- carrot cake with cream cheese filling, German chocolate with cherry filling, white cake with raspberry/lemon filling, and amaretto cake with amaretto mousse filling. It was perfect in every way. Our only regret is we didn't get to eat it all at the reception! We would highly recommend Villa Italia for your wedding cake.

We absolutely LOVED our wedding cake from Villa Italia bakery. Many of our guests have commented that it was the best wedding cake they've had in a long time. We thoroughly enjoyed our planning meeting with Tricia at the bakery. We got to try all of the possible combinations, and when I didn't see what I wanted (almond mousse), they were able to accommodate. We chose their butter cream frosting which is delicious. Villa Italia designed a custom Dale Earnhardt Jr. cake for my wedding day. It wasn't important for me to have the tradtional cake, I wanted my cake to represent my husband. Villa did an excellent job and used my specifications perfectly. The cake looked amazing and the taste was even better.

Villa Italia made both our Wedding and Groom's cakes. Both cakes were amazing, which should come as no surprise since they are the best bakery in the area!

Tricia, the manager, was a joy to work with. My husband and I had a blast at the cake tasting, and she was a wealth of ideas and suggestions to make our cake unique and satisfying for our guests. We decided on a 4 tier cake with 3 flavors: red velvet cake/cream cheese filling, chocolate cake/hazelnut filling, and rum cake/raspberry jam & vanilla mousse filling. We had a vanilla whip icing that was textured for a more vintage style. All of it was fabulous. The chocolate/hazelnut was a real crowd pleaser!

The Groom's Cake was perhaps even more noteworthy. Rather than having two cakes at our wedding, we chose to serve the groom's cake at our rehearsal dinner, which was held at The Brown Derby (same ownership as Villa Italia). Bobby Malozzi, head pastry chef, is an incredibly busy man but was fortunately able to fit in a meeting with me to go over a design that would blow my film director husband's mind (I am also camerawoman). The results were spectacular. I think our guests took more photos of the cake than anything else at our rehearsal dinner! You can find photos of our cake on the Villa Italia website. It was truly amazing to see my ideas become a reality, in a cake so beautiful you almost didn't want to cut in to it... but who can resist Villa Italia cake?! It was chocolate cake with peanut butter filling, and vanilla buttercream frosting with fondant to finish. A work of art indeed.

Lastly, in addition to our groom's cake we served Villa Italia's pastries and petit fours at the rehearsal dinner. It was an over the top treat that delighted our guests! You just can't go wrong with this bakery. They are unequivocally the best.

I had the most beautiful, delicious wedding cake imaginable, and it was all thanks to Villa Italia. I had a 5 tier baby blue cake with pink flowers, and white scrolling. It was simply stunning. It had buttercream frosting, and cannoli filling for the layers...yum! The grooms cake was a poker scene with 3D poker chips, Jack Daniels bottle, ashtray and cigar...it was amazing as well. Perfect cake for our perfect day! Villa Italia is simply the best.

Villa Italia goes out of their way to provide EXCELLENT service. We booked our cake tasting, got to try 3-4 different types of cake, another 5-7 different types of filling, and another 4-5 different types of frosting to attempt to make our perfect cake. 1 and a half hours, a couple of free coffees and lattes (and a whole free box of pastries) later, we had ourselves a cake. Not only was it delicious, but (being the biased bride I am) my cake was the most beautiful thing I have ever laid eyes upon. Villa Italia made me feel welcomed, at home, and fortunate to have their services for my wedding - AND, the cake was delicious :)

The cake was sooo yummy! We had four different flavors and they were each just as yummy as the last! I would highly recommend them for their price and their variety of flavors! There is something for everyone!

Villa Italia definitely lived up to its expectations!!! Our cake was AMAZING – there were so many delicious flavors to choose from that we actually ended up picking 5 different cakes and did a desert buffet!!!

Not only was the flavor delicious, the price was very, very reasonable. The staff was great to work with and very accommodating!!!

Our cake was part of our wedding package, and we loved it. We had so much fun at the tasting for the cake! It was like a little tea party, and Trish was really helpful.

Our cake was elegant and delicious. Many of our guests hate wedding cake, but really enjoyed this one. Highly recommend the lemon/lemon frosting!

DELICIOUS and BEAUTIFUL CAKES!! We bought a cake from them for my engagement party, shower and ceremony. They are amazing! The whole experience from the cake tasting to eating my slice at the ceremony was perfect. I would absolutely use them again!

My first experience with Villa Italia was my wedding cake. My wedding cake was beautiful and delicious! No reason to go anywhere else. Now we always get our birthday cakes here too!! Soooo good!!!

Loved loved loved my cake. It was included with my venue at the italian-american center in Albany, NY. I had a 4 tier cake where each layer was picked by my husband and I after our wonderful cake tasting. So many choices, such beautiful work. I have had custome designed cakes made there in the past and words cannot describe how impressive their cake art is. You will have to see for yourself!

I have no complaints about Villa Italia!
We were given as much time as needed for the cake testing, and the lady who helped us gave very valuable information as to what not to mix and what their top sellers were. If the cake you loved had pearls, you could save money but using frosting dots instead- Villa Italia understands the financial burden around wedding time! Everyone loved the cake and couldn't stop asking where we got it- It was delicious!

I had to thank Villa Italia for such a beautiful wedding cake. I was very unsure of the design I wanted and after several meetings I finally decided on one. I was very nervous about it but when I saw it I was in awe. I had a beautiful 5 tier, and 4 different cake flavors and each one was wonderful. I thank them for me so patient with me and making my dream cake.

The cake not only looked perfect it tasted even better! Everything was exactly the way that we had ordered it. The cake tasting was so much fun and everyone there was so friendly and accomodating. The cookies and pasteries at the wedding were also a huge hit.

I loved my wedding cake. I really wanted a cake that not only looked good but tasted great. Thats what I like about Villa italia... not ur average wedding cake! I had alot of people compliment me on our wedding cake and how delicious it was. We had a 5 tier wedding cake alternating between chocolate and vanilla cake. The layers were vanilla mouse and rasberry mouse with rasberry jam in the vanilla cake and chocolate mouse with rasberry mouse and rasberry preserves in the chocolate cake!...... BEST CAKE EVER!!!!
