Great Service!

We worked with Kirtley and booked 2 trolleys for my daughter and son-in-law’s wedding in August. She was such a pleasure to work with. She was always very friendly and helpful when we spoke. We needed two trolleys to bring the bridal party and our guests to the venue and then to bring everyone back to their hotels at the end of the night. Kirtley was great in helping to figure out the times and logistics to make use of both trolleys in a cost effective way. The trolleys were on time and everything ran very smoothly. Our guests had a great time and really enjoyed riding in the trolleys. I highly recommend using Viking Tours!

Wonderful trolley for wedding!

We utilized Viking Tours for our wedding on 11/04/22 in Newport, RI. They were the perfect touch to our wedding day to transport our guests to and from our reception! They will go the extra mile, literally!

I cannot recommend Viking Tours of Newport enough. They truly were top notch and made my wedding at the Rosecliff on July 23rd truly phenomenal. They were responsive, professional, and went the extra mile (no pun intended) to make our day fantastic. They were very helpful with guest pick up planning and even made sure to make sure everyone got home after hours.

Excellent Service

This was probably the easiest vendor I booked for my wedding. They were very flexible on making last minute changes. Our driver was excellent and always helped me with my dress in and out of the trolley. It was fun to ride in something different from a limo and there was a ton of room! I didn’t have any issues and would highly recommend booking them for your big day!

Highly Recommend!

We used Viking Tours Trolley to bring the wedding party to the church and then to our venue after the ceremony. The trolley then returned to pick up our guests in two different locations. They were extremely easy to work with and very flexible with planning. We would highly recommend them to anyone in the Newport area!

The wedding trolley made our wedding day super special!

We loved having the wedding trolley as part of our special day. The driver was the kindest, sweetest man, and he did a great job shuttling us from our rental house to the wedding venue. They followed Covid guidelines for our small wedding which we appreciated because safety was a big priority for us. The driver was punctual and made great time on our trips to and from the venue. I would highly recommend the wedding trolley as transportation for your wedding day!

Flawless Service

Viking Trolley was absolutely perfect for our wedding day. We had sort of a complicated schedule for the driver going back and forth between the hotel and venue throughout the morning, afternoon, and evening, but Viking Trolley stuck to our timeline flawlessly. Our driver was so kind, fun, and helpful throughout the day and he really went above and beyond, making sure we and our guests were safely and timely transported back and forth.

For anyone booking Viking Trolley during covid, they were phenomenal at adhering to the regulations and making sure everyone felt safe. All of our planning was so easy with Viking and the day of could not have gone more smoothly.

Wedding Trolley

We hired our wedding trolley for November 2019 through Viking Tours of Newport and we could not have been happier. We had an excellent experience, they made it super simple and easy. They are very response via email, and compared to other transportation we looked in to, their prices were quite reasonable. They were there right on time and the trolley was so cute, clean and well-kept. It was a bit chilly on our wedding day, and the heat inside the trolley was great. They allow champagne and drinks for you and the wedding party, which was perfect. Nothing but good things to say about Viking Tours and their trolley!

We loved the trolley

We loved using the trolley. We used it to get from where we were getting ready to go to the church and then the beach and back to our reception. The driver was really nice and patient. Definitely recommend.

So much fun!

We had so much fun taking the trolley around Newport for photos and sightseeing prior to our wedding ceremony. Our driver was super flexible and easy and we appreciated how much he accommodated us! Awesome vendor to work with and would highly recommend for a unique addition to your day!

Great Experience

We had a smaller wedding at King Park in Newport RI and the trolley was perfect for transporting all 20 of us from the hotel to the ceremony to photo ops then dinner and back. Our driver took great care of us and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect. He even suggested a great little place out of the wind to take pictures after the ceremony and was able to transport our photographer where he needed to go after everything was done. We highly recommend Viking tours for anyone in need of a trolley service at a reasonable price. We also recommend Jim as a driver. He always had a smile on his face and helped every guest on and off the trolley. The only issue we saw appeared to be mechanical with the air conditioner and only affected Jim. It had a lot of water in it and would splash out during some turns. Poor Jim got a little wet but it didn't affect any of us or our experience.

Fantastic Experience

Viking Wedding Trolley was such a fantastic part of our wedding day! From my initial inquiry Kirtley took care of everything and made me free so comfortable that all of our needs would be met. On the day of the drivers were so courteous, helped my bridal party and guests on and off of trolleys, and arrived not on time but early. I had multiple guests mention how fantastic the transportation was. Couldn't have been happier! Highly recommend!!!

Perfect Wedding Party Transportstion

We used a trolley for bridal party transportation for pictures. It was perfect! Jim was exactly on time, and very flexible with changes to the itinerary. We actually ended up with a little extra time before the ceremony and Jim took a beautiful scenic route around the ocean drive. Viking tours was also much more reasonable in pricing than the other trolleys available in Newport.

Amazing company!

We had the most amazing experience with Viking Tours for our wedding transportation! We worked with Kirtley to get everything set up, and she was a pleasure to work with, beginning to end. She made the whole process so easy and enjoyable. Our driver, Butch, was excellent as well! We were all over the place, and Butch was on time, professional, and courteous. He did such a fantastic job. Needless to say, the trolley was gorgeous as well! And the price was so reasonable!!! We couldn't have imagined more perfect transportation for our Newport wedding! If you are thinking about using them, DO IT!!!

We used Viking Tours as our shuttle service for our June 2018 wedding and had a great experience. Kirtley was extremely helpful and friendly during all of our interactions. We had a wonderful experience working with Kirtley at Viking! She was highly flexible and accommodating even with substantial last minute changes to our reservation. We booked a trolley for our wedding party and several coaches for our wedding guests, both on our wedding day and for a post-wedding event the following day. The vehicles were comfortable and the drivers highly professional -- our guests were happy and excited on arrival! We recommend without reservation for your event in Newport, although suggest to book as early as possible!

We used Newport Trolley for our wedding in August 2017 and were thrilled with everything. The communication w/ Newport Trolley from the beginning was easy and we found their services to be extremely affordable. Our driver was so nice and professional. He arrived a few minutes early for each pick up and was so fun throughout the ride. He let us play music and enjoy ourselves during our ride. I would absolutely recommend Newport Trolley for weddings. The trolley itself gave us great photos and it let us have a "party bus" feel but in a more quaint vehicle. Pricing was extremely reasonable & we loved it!

We used a trolley for just our immediate family, both two the ceremony and to the reception. We loved the option to have a champagne toast after the ceremony- it was a nice moment to sit back and relax with our family members and absorb what just happened! Kirtley was fantastic to work with! She called to review our day of details a few weeks before the wedding and her knowledge and experience shined through as we went over arrival and departure times. I was even able to drop a few small things with Viking to have my trolley decorated. Everyone loved the trolley and our driver Ed was great! We ended up having to do more trips to the venue from the hotel but everything worked out fine. I would highly recommend!

We hired Viking Tours for transportation for our wedding in Mystic, Connecticut, and could not be happier with the experience. Kirtley was responsive, professional and a pleasure to work with - everything we were looking for in vendors for our wedding. We rented two coach buses for our guests and the Wedding Trolley for our wedding party. We got tons of compliments from our guests on the quality of the buses as well as the professionalism of the drivers. The trolley was beautiful and made for excellent pictures and we were even able to have a champagne toast on the trolley following the ceremony. All around a great experience and a great value. Another successful trolley wedding for my family! This is the second time we have used Viking Tours of Newport and The Wedding Trolley for each of my daughter's weddings. One wedding was in June and the other January. Kirtley Seveney is amazing to work with. She handles all of the details of the wedding day and the days leading up to the wedding with tremendous ease. She is in contact throughout the whole wedding process and pays attention to even the smallest of details. The drivers are extremely professional with great personalities that add to the happiness of the day. They are also knowledgeable of driving routes to a variety of destinations. The trolley is absolutely beautiful and creates a magical beginning to the wedding day. Call Kirtley to book - you will love every minute on the trolley!

All of the staff we dealt with at the Wedding Trolley were great. Tom was early for pickup that day and we were already off to a great start! He was funny and a pleasure to have drive us around all day. Their pricing is excellent for the area and having a trolley is nice with all the extra space you get rather than being cramped in a limo!

We rented a coach bus to shuttle our guests from a couple downtown Newport hotels to the wedding venue and back. Kirtley and everyone were so flexible and easy to work with, even a couple days before the wedding! They were all professional, the pick-ups were on time, and everything ran smoothly. My daughter was just married in September in Newport. Due to the traffic on weekends, we decided to offer trolley service back and forth from the hotel to the church and back. We were worried that the guests would not use it and we would be wasting our money, but most of the guests did use it! Additionally, it was such a great ice-breaker between people before and after the ceremony. Friends and family from both sides met each other on the trolley. It was one of those memorable events of the day that guests still talk about.

I hired The Wedding Trolley to take the wedding party around Newport to get pictures and then to pick up guests at local hotels. The trolley was beautiful, very professional, and right on time. The only suggestion I have is to install speakers that run music through them, this would make it AMAZING! Thank you!

Great ride for a big group of people and great rates too!! The trolley arrived 30 minutes early to ensure they'd be here on time which I appreciate. The place we were taking our first look photos was sort of hard to get to so I explained to him as we drove and he was very at ease and followed my directions well. He took us to our first look, the ceremony and then brought us to our reception hall and through the pouring rain and verbal directions our ride was smooth and comfortable.

I would absolutely use them again!

When looking into wedding transportation, we didn't even look into limos, but went right for the trolley. We had 12 members of our bridal party, 4 parents, plus myself and my husband. We wanted some type of transportation that would allow us all to be together and the trolley was the PERFECT choice. We were able to bring snacks and champagne on the trolley to enjoy on our way from the ceremony to the reception. It was really great to be able to have all of the most important people in our wedding together and it made for some great pictures. Plus, you pick the itinerary and don't have to worry about anything the rest of the day. I would definitely recommend the trolley to anyone, and the best part is that it was cheaper than a bunch of limos would have been!

We decided to go with a trolley for our guests to use going back and forth to the hotel. The trolley at Viking tours was awesome! Kirtley was who I coordinated the trolley through, and she was so nice to work with! The trolley went back and forth many times throughout the day an everything went really smoothly! I would definitely recommend them. :)

This is a perfect way to fit a big bridal party but not spend too much money. The company was so nice & showed up before schedule for all of the time blocks.

Forget booking a limo - the only way to travel for your Newport wedding is on the Newport Wedding Trolley. It was so fun to have the entire wedding party on the same trolley when we were heading to the reception!

The trolley was the best idea ever and I'm so glad we used it for pictures prior to the wedding. It was a great way for my in-laws to see Newport and also easier to get us from the hotel to the venue. The service was nothing but professional, on time and accommodating. I recommend them for any event you have!

Taking the Newport trolley was a perfect way to get around town on our wedding day! It took us from Hotel Viking to Trinity Church and then to Rosecliff and I enjoyed every second of it! If you're getting married in Newport, then definitely consider taking the trolley.

Working with Newport Wedding Trolley was a breeze. Planning was simple and we were able to do everything from our computers. Their Trolleys are very nice and vintage looking. It was a great touch for our vintage wedding. Everyone loved the trolley and it made a great addition to our pictures. The driver was professional. Working with Newport Wedding Trolley we didn't have to worry about anything, they showed up early and got us to the church and reception with no problems.

The Newport trolley exceded all of our expectations! They were efficient, super clean, comfortable, and perfect for transporting the bridal party and all of our guests! It added a wonderful touch to our wedding and were enjoyed by all!

We used the trolley as the wedding party transportation around Newport while we were taking pictures prior to the ceremony, and then after the driver dropped us off at the venue, he would then start picking up the guests at the various hotels for the ceremony.

The trolley was clean and the driver was very nice as well as on time even with that Newport traffic.

The trolley worked out well to car everyone around during photos. I don't have much to say about it because we weren't actually on the trolley for very long. The temperature was comfortable, the driver was nice, and it worked out well for what we needed. Kirtley at Viking Trolley was really nice throughout the booking process and helped us out with restaurant recs etc as well.

We actually booked our trolley with Rockstar but for some reason they arranged with Viking to take over our reservation. The trolley was great and the driver was very pleasant and flexible. I wish that we had chosen them straight off the bat!

We used Viking Trolleys for both guest and wedding party transportation. The drivers were incredibly personable and thoughtful (helping older guests board the trolleys, etc.) They were also flexible and improvised when our schedule changed and we had to stall between the ceremony and the reception. One of the trolleys had a complicated itinerary, with lots of drop offs and pick ups in different locations, but the driver executed seamlessly.

The trolleys were in great shape: clean, painted, and authentic-looking. The guests enjoyed them and they added to the Newport Experience!

Early in the booking process, I felt my emails sometimes went unanswered and required follow-up. Closer to the event, the office staff was much more responsive, and was very pleasant to work with. The day-of service was 5 stars.

We hired two Viking coach buses to transport our guests between their hotel locations and our wedding venue. They were very flexible and let us do pick-up and drop-off from two hotels in Middletown and a third spot in downtown Newport. The buses showed up right on time and were able to pick-up and drop up all of our guests just as we requested. They were easy to work with and executed their service perfectly. The buses were nice and the guests were all really happy to have transportation to and from the wedding. Would definitely recommend Viking to anyone looking for wedding transportation!

I knew at the beginning of wedding planning that I wanted a trolley and looked into a few of the local companies. Kirtley in the office was very helpful and responsive. They let me go to the garage to check out the trolleys, and when I went on one, I knew they'd be perfect for our wedding party transportation. The trolley was early to all pick up sites and was such a fun way to travel from church to reception. Trolley was clean but had a bit of a leaky AC unit in the front. Driver was very nice. Enjoyed being able to have champagne in trolley. All in all a great experience!

Good time!

Perfect way to travel around Newport to get our group photos before the ceremony! It was airy, plenty of room for the whole wedding party to spread out, and we were allowed to bring drinks and snacks for everyone. We all loved it!

We worked with Kirtley and she was so helpful. We went back and forth a few times on exactly what modes of transportation we would need and she was always extremely responsive and patient providing us with different quotes to figure out the best deal. Booking was easy and on the day of the wedding the service was great. We had a couple of stops between hotels, the church and the reception venue and there were no confusions at all. I would definitely recommend going with Viking for your wedding day transportation needs!

We rented a trolley from Viking Tours of Newport for our wedding on 8/7/15. Viking Tours provided the best value and service of any other trolley companies that we looked at. They truly were a pleasure to work with. I was very nervous about timing since the trolly had to drive around the state of Rhode Island the day of the wedding to pick up and drop off the groomsman and bridal party from separate distant locations. I had nothing to worry about with this vendor, because the trolly was on time and everyone got where they needed to be with time to spare. When the trolley arrived, the AC was broken, but they were able to switch trolleys before picking up the girls. That was a big relief, because no one wants to be on the highway in a trolley with the windows down and a fresh hairstyle. Even with that small hiccup, everything still ran smoothly. My only suggestion for this vendor is to have GPS (and maybe a radio or iPod dock) in the trolleys for the drivers, because the driver did rely on us for directions to major highways during the ride. That being said, everything else was perfect and I would highly recommend this vendor to anyone looking for a trolley!

I used the Viking Trolley as transportation for my wedding party between the ceremony and reception, and for pictures around Newport. The trolley was lovely, and guests raved about how cute it was. There was a space for a banner on the side (there are limitations to size and what you can hang) allowing for personalization. We were able to bring champaign onto the trolley which added a fun pop (pun intended) to the already fun trolley ride.

While in the initial planning process, I was disappointed by the customer service of the lady who handles wedding for Viking, but the price was very motivation. She always seems to be in a poor mood and can be downright rude. Everyone else I've spoken to at the Viking Trolley and Tours is friendly, and the driver of the trolley was delightful.

Despite the less than lovely sales woman, the trolley was a great addition to our wedding. There is no way 35 people could get around Newport and all arrive at the same time. The trolley allowed us to get all the wedding party to pictures and no one got lost or couldn't find parking. Guests loved the trolley ride as it was fun and different. We also got some of the cutest pictures on the trolley. It's a rolling photo shoot just waiting to happen!

We booked a Trolley for transportation for our wedding party. It worked out very well. Kirtley was fabulous to work with and very responsive. The pricing was very reasonable based on other transportation providers. The driver on the day of was very friendly and knew exactly where to go. We were very happy working with Viking Tours.

Gave me a good deal for being out of season was right on time and even did a little off roading for us because we didn't want to walk too far haha.. The one downer was that he didn't have directions with him so he didn't really know where he was going but other than that it was a good time

The driver was so helpful in helping me stay out of sight before the ceremony! The staff and dispatcher used cell phones to communicate the needs of myself and my groom! The trolley was beautiful and our guests loved the aweso me alternative to a traditional limo.

We used the trolley service to transport our wedding party and immediate family around for the day so we could all be together. The trolley was a great idea because it held a lot of people. The downfall of the trolley was that it was a record high heat for our wedding and the trolley air conditioning was broken. Also, our driver had no idea where we were going even tho we had confirmed the travel itinerary months in advance. His driving skills weren't very good either.

The trolley was beautiful and it got us all everywhere on time but oh dear was it hot!! The air condition was in no way sufficient for the size of the trolley. I apologized to my bridal party the whole ride to the chapel because they were dripping in sweat and it wasn't even that hot out-it was so much hotter in the trolley than it was outside. However the staff was incredibly responsive and willing to make changes for us during the planning process.

Wedding Transportation

The trolley was a great mode of transportation for my bridal party. After dropping the girls off at the venue, however, it took the driver quite a bit of time to get back to the boy's house. The driver of the trolley also backed into a car in front of the house we rented and didn't say a word about it, assuming he thought no one saw. Aside from the above, arriving to your wedding venue via trolley is an awesome entrance.

No complaints! They were early picking all of us up and the driver was very nice. We got a trolley it picked up the guys and brought them to the church, then brought my BM's and me to the church and then all of us to the reception. We did not reserve it to get us home since we did not want to pay for waiting time at the reception.

From the beginning, Keira was such a pleasure to deal with! Arranging all of the minute details for the day of and always very responsive to email/phone.

The day of, while I found our day to be great from the trolley standpoint, quite a few of the bridal party members commented that our driver was rather rude. One would think he'd be funny and outgoing to lighten the mood but his very cut and dry businessman like attitude showed. He accidentally hit a car's parked driver mirror on his way of bringing the groomsmen to the ceremony (very early on) and that seemed to ruin his day from that point on. We just did our best to ignore the negativity he was showing to others.

I would recommend Viking in the sense that I have to imagine a very popular company like this has to have drivers that are more personable. I too would be ticked if I hit a mirror so I can't get mad at him but just hoped he went a little more out of his way to try and make our day better.

The trolley was one of the things I was so excited about for our wedding. I had been in the trolley for other weddings I have been in so we knew to bring an IPOD dock, but unfortunately we did not have the best experience. I don’t want to steer brides away as our bad experience was not because of the trolley, but because of the trolley driver. Everything on the trolley was great until we got to our final destination. As we were unloading the trolley it was my turn to get off and the trolley the driver was nowhere to be found. Because of this I had to get off the last step by myself, resulting in me tripping on my dress and falling onto the ground. Luckily I put my arms out to help stop my fall, which I think prevented me from seriously getting hurt. Once I got up I lifted up my dress and my whole entire right knee had been cut, getting blood on my dress and putting me in excruciating pain. Of course I would have thought that the driver would have come to my assistance to help me, but he was still nowhere to be found. Before we knew it the trolley was gone. It seemed to us that driver knew he was in the wrong and wanted to make a getaway before someone got really mad at him. After returning back from our honeymoon, I reached out to Viking Tours. I informed Kirtley of the incident and how I was very upset. Kirtley was very apologetic and said she was going to speak with the owners and review our file. The company was able to work something out with us and thanked me for informing them about the incident. Kirtley reassured me that as a company it is policy that the driver is to stay by the trolley until all members of the bridal party are off, especially the bride. The owners plan to review their company polices with the drivers before every single wedding they have. Although it was not a fun experience for me, I would say if you plan to use a trolley through Viking Tours make sure someone is at the door before getting off.

So frustrating

We used Viking for our wedding guest transportation and unfortunately had a frustrating experience on the planning and coordination side. While the pricing was good and the drivers on the day were professional and did their job, communication leading up to the event was very difficult.

We worked with Kirtley and found it hard to get timely responses, often needing to follow up multiple times for the contract and basic logistics. Coordinating the timeline for multiple pickup locations was also confusing, and the information provided at times lacked clarity or had inconsistencies, including overlapping pickup times.

In the end, we had limited ability to adjust or refine the plan despite trying to communicate our original ideas. On the wedding day, everything with the drivers themselves was fine, though they did arrive earlier than expected before the venue was ready for guests. Overall, the transportation worked, but the planning experience was more stressful than it should have been.
