Island Themed Wedding
I always loved the Greek Islands and chose the island theme for my bridal shower. Picking Victory Garden Cafe was the best decision. Their decor complimented my theme. The planner was very responsive and easy to work with. The menu was delicious and the Mimosa bar was excellent. Thank you for a beautiful event.

Lovely Baby Shower
Had my baby shower here in November. The location was pretty and perfect. The event coordinator, Anna, made it super easy for us to plan and basically took care of everything. The staff was friendly, food was fairly priced and delicious. They even had their own specialty drink that they displayed beautifully. I highly recommend this location.

Astoria's Best Kept Secret (A Wedding Venue Jewel)
If you're looking for a wedding venue that is intimate, affordable in NYC and goes above and beyond to make your event a success, this is it! Anna, our coordinator, and the whole team were so kind and took such good care of us from day one. It was one stop shopping for everything. They provided not only the space, they provided their in-house decorations, the delicious catering (including the wedding cake) and the staff. My guests had a lot of dietary restrictions and all of them were accommodated. The wait staff took great care to make sure that everyone had what they needed. Anna worked side by side with us on the room layout, the decor, the flow, making suggestions when we needed help. This is a family owned business and operates from the heart! Thank you to Anna and the Victory Garden Team for making our experience so easy and fun! We could not have been happier with the results and now feel like part of the family.

Perfect venue
I had a brunch wedding in the beautiful garden. The venue offered some inhouse decorations which was a plus. I spoke to them about my theme and they had great options. The signature French toast was my favorite. Great professionalism from Anna and staff. It was nice to also host the ceremony and cocktail hour at one venue. Every aspect was thought out and made the perfect event.

Victory Garden Cafe provided me the wedding that I dreamed of. The Heated garden with complimentary holiday decor created a magical experience. The menu had many options: delicious calamari, steak and more. The staff and event planner, Anna was easy to work with and flexible. Bridal shower
Anna and team did a wonderful job on the bridal shower I hosted for my niece. This was challenging because both the Guest of Honor and I are out of town. I was able to visit the restaurant to review decor, plans, drop off supplies in advance. We worked well by email and phone to make it less stressful. A last minute change to include a men's table was no troubleat all. We arrived that morning to find everything beautifully set up, and the food and service was excellent. Thank you Victory for a very enjoyable party.

Loved everything about it!
My bridal shower took place at Victory Garden Cafe. Me, My sister and mom planned it together and loved working together with Anna. I had a specific vision for my garden theme bridal shower and she showed excellent professionalism and helped making my bridal shower a success this past late summer. She guided me and my mom all the way and the service was excellent. My favorite part is their fun, optional arsenal of decorations (that’s part of the venue rental fee) that we were able to use at the party and it was super helpful since they had a nice variety and even modern decor— a very unique perk if you ask me! Not only that, Anna made sure to stay within our budget. They also did most of the decorating too. Another perk I loved.
The food and drinks were fantastic! They have their bakery next door so I definitely highly recommend to include their desserts and pastries as part of your event. Their Nutella cake was incredible! Everyone in the party loved it and kept wanting to take a piece home . Not too overly sweet but perfect since it was house made. There were different types of f&b packages to choose from for either brunch or dinner. The hospitality from Victory Garden was so warm and made me miss living in Astoria. It reminded me how special these local businesses are. I’d love to do another event here, and I highly recommend since it’s in a great area with ample street parking.

Excellent Wedding Venue!
After, searching a number of different places, I decided to visit Victory Garden Cafe. Right from the start it was a pleasant experience. I picked the menu and decided to also have my ceremony there as well. The Event Planner, Anna, guided me throughout the process. The venue provides in-house decorations and menu design free of charge. It was a great experience. My guests were amazed at what the space offered. The food was delicious and the cake was delightful and made by their bakery. Would definitely recommend. I will be planning more events here!

No Stress Baby Shower!
I organized a baby shower for my friend. Victory Cafe (Anna) was absolutely a pleasure to work with! They decorated using their supplies and some we provided for our fall woodland mushroom theme. They allow 15-25 guests in the terrace and 25+ in the enclosed garden. It was $47.50 pp for brunch including mimosa style cocktails (served on a neat shelf display) and dessert Greek pastries. We were on the terrace. The place is family run and has an old school theme, and everyone was so nice and helpful and made it so low stress! The have free backdrop stands, lanterns, paper fans, pompoms, burlap banners and even balloon garland services (extra). They put some extra touches to bring together our theme. Their cakes and Greek dips and pies are delicious! Thank you!

Best decision ever
We had a small wedding dinner with 46 guests and a small budget, Ana worked with us to craft a set up that included all the elements we needed and decorated the place beautifully.
The food was incredible, the service was outstanding, we even had an extra last minute guest the day of and they were able to accommodate them seamlessly. Every single person on the staff is a 10/10.
There’s no parking at the restaurant, but there are some parking garages nearby.
We looked at 49 different places around NYC before deciding for this one, and couldn’t be happier with our decision.

AMAZING customer service
I was looking for a place to celebrate a small baby sprinkle for my second pregnancy. This place did not disappoint. Anna was so accommodating and thorough. She explained everything and let me chose from inhouse decor and I couldn't believe the amount of options. It was so nice to show up and not have to worry about anything. Amazing experience
We held my son's Christening celebration at Victory Garden in the Spring of 2022. My experience working with them was FORMIDABLE! From start to finish, Anna made me feel comfortable and provided guidance with her years of expertise. I was looking for a place to celebrate my son's Christening. After visiting Victory Garden, I looked no further. The space was clean and beautiful. The blue wall looks even better in person. My idea to have a banner against the blue wall went out the window when I realized that it is a work of art. A small balloon garland and some flower arrangements adorned the ambience and were more than enough. Anna made the whole planning process easy, always responding to my emails and/or calls promptly. As far as the food, our guests all loved it. I could not he happier with the outcome. We had the strawberry shortcake. It was absolutely delicious! I will definitely recommend to friends and family

I had my baby at Victory Garden. This is very much a family-oriented place. The staff is very kind. It is clear that they work hard to help you bring together a beautiful event. The communication with the staff was consistent and easy. When challenges arose Anna was quick to have a conversation with me about how to remedy the situation. Communication is key so if you do have an event make sure you are clear about details ahead of time. The venue is beautiful, however, there was a storage area that was a bit off-putting but it was hidden and covered. so make sure you do a thorough viewing and ask a lot of questions. All in all, everything was beautiful and I was happy with the turnout of my event. In large part because the venue makes every effort to ensure you have a good experience with them. They even made specialty vegan options for me including all of my desserts. They do require desserts to come from their bakery. The baklava was delicious. The portions for food and dessert are generous! Anna really does try very hard as well as her staff to keep you happy!

We were so pleased with the professionalism Anna and everyone showed us throughout the whole experience from the planning process to the end of our event! The food was delicious and plentiful. Everything was lovely working with Anna from start to finish at Victory Garden Cafe. She made my bridal shower experience smooth and we enjoyed every little detail of planning and having the shower. Our guests kept raving how good the place is and the scrumptious, generous food serving! It’s seldom you find a place that does everything including decorations. Top it with an amazing coordination from Anna and really nice waiters. We will be back to this venue for other event for sure! We loved every moment of the shower and planning too. I had a small outdoor baby shower in August and so happy I did so at Victory. Yesterday I had a small intimate wedding there, they were on-point with keeping everyone as safe as possible during this pandemic and party wise. They took care of everything including setting up the space to our liking, so we wouldn't have to stress about those things. The food was unbelievably delicious, and just the customer service was perfect. Thank you again, and we will def keep you in mind when we do other parties

Bridal Shower in the Garden Room
Anna Sakalis was absolutely a pleasure to work with while we were planning my friend's bridal shower. She answered all my questions promptly and helped us feel comfortable with socially distancing the tables and chairs. Anna also helped us decorate the space and it was absolutely beautiful. Tea Party Bridal Shower
For my daughter's Bridal Shower we were looking for a venue to hold a Tea Party themed event. We looked at many places throughout Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island to find the right space. This went on for quite some time and my wife and I were getting quite frustrated. A friend suggested we take a look at Victory Garden Cafe in Astoria Queens.
We made an appointment to see Anna Sakalis the Event Manager and after a few brief minutes speaking with her, we knew we found the right place! Everything was perfect! She went through the menu options and explained how the space would be decorated and we were sold. She really put us at ease from the moment we walked in.
Well, the Bridal Shower could not have gone better. We met with Anna a few days before the party to finalize everything. We brought two car loads of decorations and party favors which she seamlessly and effortlessly merged with her decorations. Day of the party we walked in and the room looked beatiful. Anna and her team really did an amazing job. All of the food was terrific and all of the deserts which are baked on site were amazing. I would also like to give a special shout out to all of the staff at Victory Garden Cafe. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. From serving all the guests to making sure each plate was perfect and also helping carry the gifts out to the cars. They could not do enough to help out.
If you are looking for a venue for a special occasion, do yourself favor and go to Victory Garden Cafe! 5 Stars only because I cannot give more!

You couldn't ask for better attention to detail from any vendor than what you will get from Anna Sakalis at Victory Garden Cafe. She responds immediately to any request for info, the wait staff is always available and attentive on the day of the event, and set up of tables, decorations etc is arranged before your arrival.

Great Bridal Shower!
We used this venue for my cousin's Bridal Shower. Communication with Anna was excellent and she was really flexible with our needs and our budget. Everything was perfect and the service on that date was excellent. I would definitely recommend this beautiful garden. To add an extra touch we ordered a few things from Amazon to help decorate.

AMAZING venue for our wedding ceremony and reception
We want to share our deep appreciation to the staff at Victory Garden for making our wedding such a fantastic day! We appreciate how open you've been in communicating with us since the beginning. Knowing that we had your support helped keep us feel comfortable in planning for this momentous occasion.
We've visited Victory Garden several times in the last few months. Yet somehow the setup on the final day managed to surprise us. The decorations were everything that we were hoping for -- and more! The flowers and leaves along the back wall look especially good in pictures. Everyone enjoyed the food. The cake was even more delicious than we remembered. Every step of the way, we appreciated your professionalism and understanding. We can't imagine having had our wedding anywhere else.
Thank you so much for your patience and flexibility regarding the specificity of our setup, as well as accommodating our somewhat complicated A/V setup. We will definitely recommend Victory Garden to anyone for event hosting (and cakes!).

A Perfect Bridal Shower
Anna is the "Queen of Calm." The night before the shower she was un-phased when the headcount suddenly increased and the number of tables and the seating chart had to be revised.
We were told to bring favors and anything we wanted displayed in advance of the event so that we wouldn't be stressed at the last minute. When we arrived the room looked beautiful. The food looked so appealing and was delicious.
Our guests couldn't stop raving and asked how we'd found this gem.

Excellent from start to finish
My wife and I decided to have a holiday wedding. We are originally from NY but moved to Florida. All our family is here in NY, so we decided to have our wedding at Victory Garden Cafe after reading all the reviews. All our communication was done over the phone with Anna. She assured us that we would be happy with the food, service and decor. She was absolutely right! We arrived and the setting was simply magical! The servers were extremely attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding and the cake, made from their bakery, was beautiful and delicious! I would recommend this venue for any type of event! Thank you Victory Garden Cafe!

I had my sister's bridal shower at Victory Garden Cafe and it was such a positive experience. Since I had an idea for the theme of the shower, I shared my ideas with Ana and she was helpful. It was actually the perfect place to throw my sister's bridal shower because it worked well with my Moroccan theme. I brought all my decorations and provided a sample of how I wanted my decorations displayed a few days before the event and everyone did such a beautiful job. Everyone had a fantastic time and the food was delicious. I was so happy with how the custom cake I had made turned out and my sister was not only surprised, but loved the entire event.

A friend of mine suggested Victory Garden for a bridal shower I was planning. It was the best decision I've ever made. From the beginning Anna set me at ease as we went through their various options from menu to decorations. She was always very quick to respond to any questions and willing to help me make the best decisions. The day of the event was flawless! She took my decorations and blended them beautifully with theirs and the food and service was excellent. I can never thank them enough for making my event fabulous. My mother & I hosted a bridal shower her for my niece. Everything was perfect !!! The space was beautiful, the food was good, deserts scumptious. Anna was so helpful with everything for beginning to end. Her staff was amazing,everyone of them. Always available for anything we needed. They went above and beyond. I had my bridal shower brunch at Victory Garden Cafe on 9/2/18. Everything went smoothly and beautifully thanks to Anna and her team. The food we ate was absolutely delicious. So much so that my mom and I went there for breakfast again the following morning! Anna was very easy to work with and very accommodating. Communication. Was great and the decorations were on point. Everything I had envisioned was made reality. Also do invest in the vienesse table! It wowed my guests and all the desserts were scrumptious. My favorite were the cake pops! I had my sister-in-law's baby shower there this past weekend and it was pretty amazing. Anna, our coordinator, was a pleasure to deal with from the very beginning straight to the end. If I had any requests, Anna was always willing to accommodate and the entire experience was seamless. The other staff members were also extremely helpful and made the restaurant look beautiful the day of the event. They even packed our extra cake in to-go containers for the guests.

I can not recommend Anna enough. She met with me many times; responded to multiple emails within minutes, and made sure the day was better than I could have even imagined. I had 5 crates of decorations and lots of instructions (yup - I was that bride) and she turned my vision into a reality that took my guests' breath away. . She even created a video for us of the day; which was wonderful since we didn't have a videographer. This is the place to have your wedding - especially a morning wedding / brunch like we had.

If I could give this venue 7 stars I would. I threw my cousin's 40th Birthday here this past weekend, we had the most amazing time. I planned months in advance and had a lot of questions. Anna really was a God sent really she was always a delight in our messages and our meetings. I almost want to keep this place a secret because I do not want everyone to know about it hahah. My theme for the party was black and gold with some elements of Game of Thrones, because the party was for my male cousin I kept trying to come up with a theme. Anna was very responsive, thorough and I felt at ease dealing with her knowing everything would be perfect. The night of the party my cousin who does not like any type of attention loved everything! All the details Anna and her staff put into decorating everything. We also had a belly dancer which I think was a great addition. We played our own music, I ordered the viennese table which I would strongly recommend if you are a big party and love to eat like my family does. The main cake was Anna's recommendation, the chocolate mousse and cannoli cream filling. That was soooo good and a big hit! The food is very good! I only wish I got a chance to try the jello ice cream but was too stuffed from everything else. I would like to give a special thanks to Isham, (please forgive me if I spelt your name wrong) Mixali, Niko, the dishwashing lady and all of the staff you made our evening a truly memorable happy one. Anna was great and helped me prepare a small family 50th surprise anniversary for my parents. I had eaten at Victory before several times. Their food AND their pastries are phenomenal !. Anna was great in helping me w/a cake flavor as I was unsure, she was also helpful w/ the entire organization of the event. The place is cute to have small events. The perfect place to host a beautiful event. I celebrated my Wedding at Victory Garden Cafe on August 26. Since the first moment I spoke to Ana (the manager) she was very professional and helped me choose the best options to make an event a success. On my wedding day, the garden area looked amazing. All my guest were pleased with the accommodations and the food served was simply delicious (I had many options to chose from). The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. I also had the chance to pick the design of my own wedding cake and it was prepared exactly how I wanted it. My spouse and I enjoyed our Wedding to the fullest since Ana and her team took care of everything. I can't thank them enough for helping me host my event and I will definitely be going back soon.

My Hawaiian themed bridal shower was on June 11th, 2016 and I was more than happy with how it turned out. After reviewing and researching many venues to find the perfect place, I decided to go ahead with Victory Garden Café and was not disappointed at all. Anna is so sweet and organized and she made sure that everything was perfect from setting up the decorations, to choosing the right food for my guests, and creating the perfect menu that would go well with my style and taste. All of my guests complimented on how delicious the food was (juicy steak, tender chicken and such flavorful seafood spaghetti) and how beautiful the place is. I also had my cake made through Victory Garden Café since they have a bakery right next door and I was amazed at the lovely red velvet cake (in the shape of a beautiful wedding dress) that was made based on a picture that I had given them. Everything was perfect and I would definitely come back here for another event! Thanks to Anna and her staff for making this such a pleasurable bridal shower! Not only is this venue a gorgeous outdoor space with intimacy and charm, but the service and quality of food/dessert, presentation, execution, and professionalism was exceptional. When I had to plan my sister's wedding shower, I was overwhelmed with finding a place and planning the event. I wanted everything to be perfect. I stumbled upon this place, in Astoria called Victory Garden. Having the event there was the best decision I made. The garden's owner Anna was great. She was very tentative in helping me with the planning and providing me with her input as well. I tried to picture how everything would turn out after all was said and done. I have to say everything was perfect and I was really impressed. The decor, the food and service was great. Furthermore, I had provided Anna with a picture of a cake design which I really liked, and her version surpassed the original. I felt so bad we had to cut the cake to eat it, which by the way was amazing as well. All my guests raved about how beautiful everything was and looked, and most importantly my sister loved it. Thanks Anna!!!! I would definately recommend this place and I definately would host another event there.

This has been a long time coming, but I wanted to review VGC. I had my daughter's 8th grade graduation party there, back in '13. Altho' it's coming up on two years since the event, it feels like it just happened yesterday. It was an extremely hot day, but Anna and the staff made sure that we were all comfortable. We also had some last minute guests arrive, and they were quick to make enough room for everyone to sit comfortably. The food was never ending. The food was delicious. 'Til now, we get complimented on the quality of the food, not to mention, the amount of food that was given. Everything was perfect and my daughter had such a memorable day.

I am writing this review on behalf of my mother who hosted my bridal shower at Victory Garden Cafe. Anna was a pleasure to work with to ensure that the shower was perfect. The staff was quick to assist me with helping to decorate the space with the items I brought. The servers were great to make sure everyone's brunch order was taken quickly and the food was prepared and served quickly. There was an error in they way my eggs were prepared (I believe I received someone else's dish), and the server was so quick to take it back and fix it. We never felt rushed to leave after the party, and they assisted us in taking down the decorations. When my husband and the rest of the men came to pick us up, I asked the server if they could serve some of the leftover cake to them, and they were quick to bring it out. Thank you Anna and staff, I could not have asked for a better party!

Anna and her team created a perfect party. Everything ran smoothly. The waiters were so attentive and accomodating. TRhe food was delicious. The desert....to die for! My guests loved it. The bride-to-be was very happy. I highly recommend this place for your party. It was incredible.

We just had the most amazing bridal shower here yesterday. Anna the coordinator and her mother are just lovely! Anna definitely went above and beyond to make our party special. She printed personalized menus, seating charts and a welcome sign. She worked with us with whatever accommodations we needed, whether it was space or dietary restrictions and was always available for any questions. The staff is incredibly friendly, fast and efficient. They set up all the decorations for us. They were so great with all the guests and were on top of everything, from taking orders, short wait time for food, and anything else that popped up. The food was great and the custom cake they made was amazing! Thank you sooo much for making our party so wonderful. All the guests and especially the bride loved everything. I will definitely recommend this place to others! Thank you!

I conducted my sister's bridal shower here, The place is just beautiful and lovely. the service is excellent, I loved how they treated all the guests. Very accommodating. They helped with the décor and the whole set up looked fantastic. my sister was so floored and happy ! Food was very good too ! I truly recommend :)

My husband took me to dinner at Victory Garden Café to celebrate my Birthday. We were very pleased with the appetizers and delicious dinners and desserts. The service was excellent too! You can not beat Victory for the value.

I had my wedding reception there and the food and service there was better the you get from s catering hall. The owner was very accommodating to then needs of my guest and the staff was very professional.

This place is amazing. So pretty and the food is delicious!!!! I've held 2 parties and have returned several times for brunch. And my girlfriend just had an event there also bc she loved my event. Every time we go we try something different and every plate we have ever had is amazing. The staff are all so friendly and kind and beyond attentive.

Anna was great to work with during our wedding planning and on our wedding day. She decorated the place beautifully and everyone raved about how nice the place looked. (You def do not need to buy flowers for centerpieces, Anna and her staff does a great job with putting everything together). I also like how she made an arch out of tulle. She responded to email in a timely fashion and would even respond to my text messages.
Guest took a while to get their food, but that was our fault since majority of the guest came outside to take photos with us. We had a brunch wedding and guest loved the variety of the menu. Everyone said the food was yummy. The wedding stated late and Anna provided the guest with appetizers and drinks while they waited.
My husband wants us to have our one year anniversary celebration there. He loved the food (and he is a VERY picky eater). He wished he ordered extra food to bring home and even wants to try to make the dish that he had there.

Hosting my sister's Bridal Tea Party at Victory Garden Cafe was the best decision ever! From the minute I called Anna to inquire about availability I noticed and felt a sense of professionalism and devotion to the planning. Anna was always available for any questions and requests I had. The day of the Bridal party couldn't have gone smoother. The tables were set, the flowers were arranged and the brunch and drinks were delicious. Every single one of the guests including the bride were in awe with the beauty of the garden. many even asked how I had found such a great location for the tea party.

Amazing Coordination & Execution of Party!
I came to Victory Garden Cafe most recently for my mother’s retirement brunch.
Myself and guests included were so charmed by the attention, decor, layout and overall vibe.
You can expect to have an initial and final meeting with Anna to review details, a full spread of included and additional decoration options, and a variety of menu choices. It is budget friendly and adaptable to the scale you hope to achieve. And Anna will be there every step of the way!
I will certainly consider planning future family events there. Thank you!

Amazing Venue
The first time my husband and I walked into this venue we were in awe. It was still during Covid and the restaurant had taken so many precautions from having sanitizing stations, to industrial air purifiers to masks. We loved the food and the service was excellent so we knew we would have to have have our Baby Shower here. From the initial start of planning all the way through the day of the event, Anna was amazing. She had different itineraries for us to look over and once we picked what we wanted she basically took care of the rest. After dropping off our decor, she and her team set up a beautiful space for our event. All of our guests were in awe of the space and kept complimenting the food, especially the large portions. We truly had a beautiful party thanks to Anna and her Vkctory team! We will definitely look to have future events here!

The best event venue you could ask for !
I hosted my baby shower at Victory Garden Cafe. From the initial visit until the day of the event I was completely impressed with everything they had to offer. Anna who is in charge of events was so patient and kind. She took her time explaining all of the details and answering any questions I had. On the day of the event, I had no worries. Everything was taken care of for me. I was able to drop off favors and any additional decor I had (which was not much because they have almost everything you need) a few days before. This allowed me the flexibility to take my time getting ready on the day of the event with no worries. We booked a late afternoon brunch which was perfect for my family. They offer many food options for brunch which was great because that provided variety for my guest. The food was very tasty. The waiters were so kind and understanding of us taking photographs in between eating. We did not feel rushed. We were able to enjoy every moment of the event from start to finish. They were so attentive and accommodating. Many of my family members approached me about how much they loved the event. I would definitely recommend Victory Garden Cafe to anyone I know. The value for all of the services that I received was amazing.

The venue is gorgeous and the wait staff was very attentive for my babyshower. There was a variety of food options and there were unlimited drinks served for all my guests for my late brunch event. The guests favorite selections were the spinach pie, grilled chicken ceasar salad, and the chocolate mousse cannoli cake was to die for!! Because of the garden like feel the venue needed very little decoration. Would definitely have another event here.

Anna was a absolute gem. She was extremely profession & always catered to our every concern. The staff was good. The atmosphere & food was excellent! It has now been a few days since the event and the bride is still talking about how beautiful and wonderful her shower was.

The servers did not make sure all of my guests were fed with a meal. You had one server with glasses that was extremely rude to my guests when they wanted their meal. Also the dinner was not served in timely fashion, I had a couple wait almost 45 minutes for her food. Also at 8:00 exactly you guys kicked us out. I felt disrespected. I understand that the venue was reserved for another couple but we paid good money not to be rudely rushed out.
