Amazing Attire, Even More Amazing People

Bailey and all of the girls at Victorian Bridal made dress shopping, tux shopping, accessory-finding, and alterations a breeze. They were caring, attentive, and patient. They made each visit fun and exciting and they always made you feel comfortable. I would highly recommend Victorian Bridal to anyone planning their big day. They were wonderful people to work with and my husband and I feel so blessed that they played a role in making our Wedding Day so beautiful and wonderful.

    Small Town Excellence

When it comes to dress shopping, Victorian Bridal is worth the trip!! Bailey was Invaluable in helping me find my dream Wedding Dress! She made it such a fun and comfortable experience! Communication was wonderful throughout my entire experience. When it came to alterations, Christine was a godsend. She had quite the job with my dress and paid attention to every detail until my dress fit like a glove! I had so many compliments and I’m so happy to have shopped local for both my dress and my bridesmaids!! Thank you VB!!

I went to try on wedding dresses at David's Bridal before I went to Victorian Bridal. I went there because I didn't think I could afford anything at Victorian Bridal. I liked some of the dresses at David's Bridal, but I just didn't feel like a bride. I went to Victorian Bridal just to look. I was so surprised to find a selection affordable designer gowns. I tried one on and finally felt like a bride. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They assisted me with everything from choosing the dress, to finding my veil and accessories. My alterations were affordable and done perfectly. We also got all of our bridesmaids gowns and tuxes from Victorian Bridal and were very pleased with them.

They definitely went out of their way to find dresses for me. They researched photos I brought in from magazines and tried to track them down for me. I felt like they really appreciated my business and were willing to help me be happy and help me choose the dress I wanted.

Nice selection of dresses. Found the staff to be knowledgeable and fun to work with. Bailey quickly became my favorite to go to for anything. Had some troubles with the men's tuxes when getting fittings done but when they arrived all fit perfect. Would suggest something change with the prom girls men's tux 'rules' because this was where the problem was not being able to actually try things on for fittings. Alterations got a little tricky as the woman doing
mine lives further away and made it known that she has quite the drive so it really needed to be worth the trip for her.

I loved going out here! It was about an hour away from my hometown but totally worth it. They were very flexible in allowing me to change my appointment and then accommodated me arriving a little late. Christine was amazing at helping me decide on dresses and allowing me to look through the rack. She also was very patient with me and didn't push me to make a decision. She waited as my mom and sister and I talked over every detail of the dress. She then helped us figure out veil and accessories. LOVE IT!!

This is a wonderful dress shop that I recommend to everyone I know. The quality and assortment of bridal gowns, prom dresses, flower girls, and mother of the bride dresses is outstanding. They have different designers then other shops in the areas. They are incredibly personal and the service is outstanding! They are also very reasonably priced, especially for there alterations. Just a great small town shop! They also have wedding accessories, jewelry, and tuxes. One of my bridesmaids traveled an hour just to buy her wedding gown there because she loved the shop so much!

The staff at Victorian Bridal was knowledgeable and patient as I tried on their dresses to find the one. They have access to ordering gowns that are not in the store or in a variety of other colors. They offer good advice and suggestions. Could have more modern dresses in the store and often when you walk in there is no one to be found at the front counter...they are in the back so you have to wait or try to get someone's attention.

The dress selection was good for a smaller town, and they were willing to order in anything if they were able. We got everything here. Brides dress, bridemaids dresses, tuxes. They were very helpful and willing to accomadate.

We did our flowers here also, but I think they no longer do floral services.

Owner was very rude. I was inaccurately sized in the store and waited 7 months for a dress that did not fit. I even lost weight between the time of measuring and the time of the dress arriving, yet the owner accused me of GAINING weight, I was re-measured to prove it to them. Had no choice but to take the dress, as I would've had to pay for a second if I wanted to re-order. Very frustrating experience. Sales associates are very nice, but I cannot recommend based on my experience with the owner.

The first time I went there they had my dress and held on to it for me. They told me they would contact me when it was time for my first dress fitting. They never called me back and I had to call them, they proceeded to place blame on me and assume it was my fault if they weren't able to get me in on time. My first fittings were fine, my last fitting was a disaster. The alterations woman did a horrible job on my bustle, there were obvious thread puckers on the back of my dress. She also had folded over my straps, sewed them like that and left them as is, in a huge obivous bump on top of my shoulder. She explained that because of the way the dress was made she couldn't make a cut and make it look nice. Called them back the next day and complained to the manager who I was told wasn't there the night before, but actually was. When I went to pick up the dress, I looked at the back of the dress and they had fixed it and pressed it so it was completely unnoticeable, and they actually did cut the straps and made it look fine. If you decide to buy a dress there, I would suggest taking it home and going somewhere else for alterations, don't put yourself through the trouble and the stress of people who claim to be professionals that are not.

I found a beautiful dress here and since it was in the town our wedding was being held I thought it'd be perfect. I was so wrong and I wish I would have went somewhere else. I had to call and ask if my dress was in, they never called to let me know. When I wanted to set up my appointments for alterations they told me I had to wait another two weeks and they'd call me. Again I received no phone call. By the time I was able to get in for alterations the seamstress was upset I waited so long. I told her the store wouldn't let me set up times any earlier and she just shook her head. They messed up my instore credit several times and tried to over charge me. We also had problems with the shoe dying and tuxes. When I first told them what I wanted for the shoes I was told no problem. Then my bridesmaids were calling me saying the store didn't know how they'd turn out since the color was hard to make. Again they didn't tell me about this at all. When a groomsman went in for his tux the shirt went almost to his elbows and the lady who measured him couldn't figure out why. Oh and to top it off they were trying to get me to buy my dress a size bigger than I did and in the end I gained weight and still needed my dress taken in. Everyone was so rude and no one would answer my questions until I asked three or four times. I would NEVER recomend this shop to anyone.

I bought my wedding gown, 3 bridesmaids dress, a jr. bridesmaid dress, a flower girl dress, and two mother's dresses from Victorian Bridal and would NOT recommend them to anyone!!

I originally went there because it's the closest place to my house and they offered to price match a sample dress I found somewhere else (this saved me a lot of money). I was so impressed with this, that's why we ordered the other dresses there. The trouble started with alterations. For my wedding gown, I had four fittings and the dress still didn't fit me properly. Between the first and second fittings, there were no alterations done at all - when I asked why, the seamstress said because it's too difficult to tie off all the beading. At the third fitting, the top of my gown was gaping from my chest and the bustle was a mess! I was so upset I asked to talk to Judy (the owner of the shop) and she seemed very accommodating. She offered to do the alterations herself and let me go to her house to try the dress on (she lives in the same town as me). She was able to put a corset back in the dress and alter the bustle. Both of these seemed fine at my last fitting. However, the night of my wedding, the gathering stitch that was put in at the top of my dress let loose as did my bustle. The more I stepped on my dress (because of the bustle), the more the dress would fall. I have numerous picture of me dancing with way too much of my chest exposed. It shouldn't be like that after four dress fittings.

One of my bridesmaids and both mothers had issues with their alterations as well. My bridesmaids dress had a strange gathering in the back and the rouching on the dress "fell out" by the end of the night. My mother's dress had straps that were still too long, even after several fittings, and the kept falling off her shoulders. My mother-in-law's dress was too tight in the chest as the result of them "fixing" the organza overlay. After several fittings, my mother-in-law told them she would take the dress as-is because the more they altered it, the worse it got.

Three days before my wedding, at almost 4:00 in the afternoon (too late to do anything that day), I got a call from one of the girls at Victorian Bridal telling me that my daughter's shoes that I dropped off to be dyed were ruined. After pushing her to call the company that makes the shoes, she informed me that the shoes weren't dyable, in spite of the fact that Victorian Bridal accepted them as dyable AND tried to dye them. I asked her what she was going to do about it and she suggested I call the company I purchased the shoes from. I asked to speak to the owner. I explained to the owner that they accepted the shoes in perfect condition, tried to dye shoes that weren't dyable, and now were unable to give me the shoes back in the same condition that they accepted them. She told me this was not their fault and they would not reimburse me for the shoes. After some yelling on both our parts she hung up on me. She then called me back about 10 minutes later to offer to replace the shoes with a brand that their store carries, which they did.

On top of all this, the overall service at the store leaves a lot to be desired. When you go in there, you are not assigned a specific customer service person nor does the first one to help you take responsibility for you as a customer. The first time we were in there for fittings, the girl that greeted us put our dresses in rooms and told us to change. We then stood in the waiting area for about 15 minutes until I had to go find someone and say "OK, now what?" The only employee worth mentioning in a good light is Janet. She truly enjoys her job and helping people. She will make sure you have what you need and that you are as satisfied as she has control over.

I would NOT recommend this vendor and would strongly warn against them. Their one plus side is that they price match. If you take advantage of this, I would suggest ordering your dress there and taking it somewhere else for alterations. If you must go in the store, request to work with Janet.
