  Not Just an Officiant, But a Friend

  In seeking out an officiant for our wedding, we hoped for someone kind and caring who was interested in getting to know us and our story. We found that and more in Victoria! We first met her in 2020 at an event at our venue that was put on to introduce couples to the vendors the venue typically partners with as well as give couples a feel of what a wedding feels like at the venue. Victoria introduced herself and within minutes, her eloquent words and the meaning behind them had both of our mothers in tears! A big theme for Victoria is “building your family tree” while incorporating your existing tree. As a couple for whom family connection is of utmost importance, this meant a lot to us. Our wedding was then postponed due to COVID (twice!) and Victoria was remarkably supportive and flexible along the way as we navigated this very emotional challenge.
  We met with Victoria a few months before the wedding (finally!) where we essentially had an interview in the form of conversation over lunch. Victoria took the time to get to know all of the important details of our lives and our relationship, including extended family. LIttle did we know how beautifully she would incorporate these details into our ceremony!
  On the big day, Victoria gathered all of us ladies right before the ceremony where she shared an incredible speech about women and the connections we have, and how we can support each other. We were in tears all over again! I will treasure that moment and I know our moms, living grandmother, and bridesmaids will as well. The ceremony was as light and stunning as we could have hoped. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as she described how the love of the people who have come before us has brought us to where we are now. Seeing our parents as she named each of our grandparents who have passed and how they impacted us was the most touching part. She then shared our personal story of how we found each other and the work we have put in to bring us to that moment, 11 years later. After the pronouncement and the big kiss, she disappeared off into the sunset, as in her words, “the focus should be on the couple, not on me”.
  Victoria’s personality is as the most lovely, kind-hearted, FUNNY, and genuine human. We’d love to be friends with her (hint hint, hehe) but will forever treasure our time with her and our memories and recording of our ceremony will be even more special because of her clear dedication to love and helping couples create their own branch of their joined family trees.

  We love Victoria!!

  Victoria is AMAZING. She was the perfect addition to our wedding. She is funny, sweet, caring, and makes you feel like family right from the start. Her ceremony is BEAUTIFUL. Pretty much every single guest came up to us after and commented on how thoughtful and personable everything that she put together was. She really truly cares about giving you the ceremony of your dreams and is open to incorporating anything that you could wish! We all love Victoria so much for her insight and her attention to detail. She even did a women's blessing right before the ceremony for me, my bridesmaids, my mom, and mother in law. Not a dry eye in the room during her ceremony. I 100% recommend Victoria to officiate your wedding. She is out of this world amazing.

  Victoria was absolutely amazing, she was a friend of my husbands family for many years. She used to babysit. I met her the day of my father in law funeral. She prepared the most beautiful heart warming dedication to him. When my husband proposed, I knew instantly who I wanted to perform the ceremony. She was an absolute angel. She even printed out a ceremony packet for keepsake. I would highly recommend Victoria to perform your ceremony.

  Simply Amazing

  Victoria was simply amazing. She was the officiant at my friends wedding so when I heard her I knew I would use her when I got married. She is so kind, so engaging, and really gets to know you to completely personalize your ceremony. All of my guests were blown away by her performance. They said it was the most heart felt and personalized ceremony they’ve ever heard and they loved how it wasn’t just a typical prescribed ceremony. Victoria was also about to take some ideas my fiancé and I had and weave those in perfectly. We are so lucky we found Victoria and would recommend her without hesitation.

They say everything happens for a reason and I can't even begin to describe how thankful I am to have found her. She created the most thoughtful and poignant ceremony for us, and was such a calming presence leading up to the wedding and even before the ceremony even started. I was getting a little nervous before the ceremony began and I asked one of our venue attendants to please bring Victoria to the bridal suite. She came in, hugged me, gathered all the girls in a circle and gave us a little speech that brought me to tears. She is truly one of a kind, and if you are lucky enough to have her perform your ceremony, you will gain a friend for life.

  I don’t even know where to start about Reverend Burdick. She is the most amazing woman we have ever been blessed to meet let alone marry us. She married by sister 8 years ago and I knew that day when I found my husband there would be no one else to have at our wedding. From sitting and talking about our love story so she could personalize the ceremony to the many emails that always left a happy tear in my eye. Our ceremony was absolutely amazing, everyone that was there says the same. She is just the best.

  Victoria was recommended to us by the ceremony planner at our venue, and we decided to book her since we weren't local. We couldn't be happier with our choice! Victoria is an angel, who will become your best friend. She will soothe you when the planning gets stressful making sure you focus on what's really important on the day of your wedding. All our guests were very impressed with how special, heartfelt and personal our ceremony was. The words she chose were so beautiful, so touching, so profound. She also knows when to not be overly serious, and made both us and our guests very comfortable even though our ceremony had to last longer than usual due to my brother translating every phrase to my family. We had both tears and laughter at our ceremony, which was perfect! She gave us the print out of our whole ceremony including our vows as a keepsake, which was so sweet! Thank you, Victoria!

  Our initial meeting with Victoria was over brunch and what a wonderful brunch that was! Not just the delicious food, but because we came away from the meeting knowing that we had found the most perfect person to officiate at our wedding.
  
  We told Victoria our love story and she created for us a beautiful, moving and memorable ceremony. I've already watched the video several times and we're only married a few weeks :)
  
  Victoria also gave us a beautiful booklet outlining every detail of our ceremony. And within days of our wedding, she had already filed our marriage license with the town clerk.
  
  I can't say enough about how wonderful Victoria was, but I can say that we now consider her a friend! I wholeheartedly recommend her to any couple who wants a unique and individualized ceremony.

Every person in our receiving line raved about her and said it was the best ceremony they had ever been to! We met with Victoria at a diner a few times before our wedding for her to get to know us and for us to get comfortable with her, and it was like hanging out with a great friend.   Victoria wrote our ceremony so that it was specific to who we are and what's important to us. She made sure our family was a big part of the wedding. She blended in the right amount humor. She's very passionate about her job, and it shines through. She's not just going through the motions...she made our ceremony very personal and special. She was extremely helpful in everything we had to do including writing our own vows. Very touching.

  Victoria is a true talent! Our ceremony was beautiful! Our guests loved the ceremony. It was entertaining, sweet, and just amazing! I love that she creates a love story to tell everyone and documents it for your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, etc. to read!

  I highly recommend Victoria Burdick. We didn't want an overly religious ceremony, and Victoria was perfect! She really gets to know you and customizes the ceremony to reflect you as a couple, and makes it mostly a surprise but also gets your guests to feel like a big part of the ceremony. We both really enjoyed getting to know Victoria, and even though we had only had 2 meetings with her, our guests thought we had known her for ages! She invests a lot of time and thought into each ceremony, and really makes it unique. All of our guests loved her and we also couldn't have been happier!

  WOW is all we have to say about Victoria. Words cant describe how amazing she truly is. She personlized the ceremony and tailored it around our love story. Her words are inspirational and she had everyone in the church filled with love (and tears!!) She made our day truly special & we will remember her forever. She even documented the ceremony in a beautifully assembled packet, detailing the ceremony as a whole. What a great memory & keepsake to show the kids and grandkids someday!   The two things we really wanted from an officiant were somebody who would do more than just read vows, or harp on the religious virtues of marriage, and somebody we could feel comfortable with.

  After attending years of beautiful weddings with somewhat impersonal ceremonies, my husband and I really wanted to start our wedding day off with a ceremony that was personal, meaningful and genuine. Victoria was easy to connect with off the bat, because she loves what she does, and she believes in truly celebrating the gift of love. It would be easy to say the words and act the part, but Victoria lives the words she says, which is what makes her ceremonies so genuine. She celebrates the couple. Not only what makes them unique as individuals, but she also incorporates their backgrounds and families, which enables her to deliver a really well rounded picture of the couple she’s about to join in marriage. I can truly say that the ceremony was the best part of a really great day, thanks to Victoria. The first thing we heard from almost every guest was “That was the best ceremony I’ve ever seen.” It was a constant theme of the night. Many guests assumed she was a family member or family friend, since she seemed so connected to us throughout the ceremony. She set the stage for a really meaningful day by creating such a unified feeling between us, our families, and our guests.

She takes the time to get to know you as a couple and creates a masterpiece of a service that will have your entire guest list feeling involved.   I LOVE Victoria! Our ceremony was at Beavertail in Jamestown, RI. A beautiful setting with the ocean backdrop. Luckily, the weather was perfect for an early September outdoor wedding, which was only made that much better by Victoria’s personalization of our marriage. As an interfaith minister, Victoria really took the time to get to know my fiancé and I and incorporated that into the ceremony. We considered the ceremony a very private affair and as such invited only immediate family members. Victoria included our family members in the ceremony, acknowledging our grandparents and parents by name. I couldn’t have been any happier to have her conduct our marriage ceremony!   Victoria made our day perfect, everybody loved the ceramony and it was talked about for ages after. She really made it special for us and her words were beautiful.

  Victoria is a true gift. Being of mixed faiths, she brought in a mix of both, making it incredibly meaningful to both families. Writing a customize wedding for us was amazing. Our stories and love was in our ceremony, and you could tell she was all about making everything perfect. I am surprised at how little I thought about the meaning of the ceremony in comparison to my dress and the food and the place, and she brought me back to what was really important, starting a new journey with my husband. She is amazing.
