My forever makeup artist
It took me a long time to review and I'm sorry because I am bad at submitting reviews, but I had to. The best makeup artist ever!!! I had people of different races in my wedding party and she made us all look amazing. On time, positive vibes and her assistant was awesome too. Victoria is my makeup artist for life. You can never go wrong with her. She was recommended by my wedding planner Ciera Pope and she was not wrong. You will never regret booking her. Do yourself a favor and just book her. Everything I wanted and MORE!
I looked so amazing on my wedding day and my hair and makeup stayed flawless the entire night. Her price was great and she listened to what I wanted but also suggested some great alternatives. Victoria made me and my bridesmaids feel comfortable especially since some of us never wear makeup. They all showed up to the suite on time and we’re very nice and professional. I’ll be using her anytime I need my makeup done. She’s family now!

Victoria is a true beauty artist. The passion for her craft shows in her work. While being very professional she also makes you feel you’ve known her for years. Because I’m not as detailed with daily makeup wear, she made sure I was comfortable in my look but at the same time allowed me to explore looks I wouldn’t ordinarily be bold enough to try. From my bridal trial, bridal portraits shoot, and wedding day…I was able to have all different looks or highlights which did allow it to all come together on my special day. I gave a few thoughts on hair styles and she went beyond my expectations. She takes time to understand what you want. My hair and make up was simply beautiful. She was there from the time my day started until I was ready to walk down the aisle. The focus was all about making her bride and bridesmaid look beautiful. My bridesmaids and I were so pleased and truly loved every look which was detailed and specific to what was best for each person but also it all blended so well with the color scheme. She did an outstanding job and just made that day so calming and confident which is what every bride needs. She has a gift and I’m so happy I chose her through this process for my beauty artist.

I absolutely loved working with Victoria from my first day meeting her for my trial I knew she was my girl! She made me feel so special and it was like I had known her forever. Her energy was amazing she kept me laughing! I am sometimes self conscious about my skin because I am dark skinned and people tend to make me too light. Victoria matched me perfectly and made me feel naturally beautiful! For my bridal portraits she made me look like a beautiful black Barbie doll! On my wedding day I didn’t think it could get any better, but of course it did!! It was beautiful! My bridesmaids looked natural and beautiful! I couldn’t have asked for anything more! Victoria was a godsend!!! As someone who doesnt wear makeup at all outside of lipstick and eye liner I was very cautious about finding a MUA for my wedding that was able to give me what I was looking for, skilled enough to work with a bridal party of various skin tones and didnt charge an astronomical amount of money. From our first conversation I knew Victoria was perfect. Not only was she responsive and professional but she was amazingly personable. Even when Covid threatened to push back or cancel my wedding she was so flexible and worked with me. It felt like a big cousin was doing my makeup. From my bridal makeup trial to my wedding day my experience with Victoria was amazing. She is professional and patient and also so sweet and funny. Victoria was a dream to work with from the first moment! She was super fast to answer my inquiry and it was easy to set up an appointment right on her website. During the consultation, she took the time to understand what my vision was for my day (how I wanted to look beautiful, natural AND still like myself). And she listened intently and gave me the exact look that I wanted.
On the day off, she arrived with a great attitude and positivity and started doing the make up for my bridesmaids. She made each one of us look great from my 11 year old daughter to my mom. She was with us for the whole morning and early afternoon and she was flexible and attentive to my whole squad. I looked and felt gorgeous the whole day thanks to her! Furthermore, she gave me some touch up lipstick to use for later in the evening.
I highly recommend her and look forward to coming back to her to get a makeup class this summer.

We even had one extra person decide on the day of that they wanted their hair done and she was willing to accommodate, although the extra person changed her mind last minute. I contacted Victoria after a failed make up trial with another vendor and I am so thankful she had an opening on her calendar for me and my wedding party (11 ladies total). She provided a trial look for free after I booked and it gave me and my mom a chance to get to know her and her passion for makeup. She and her assistant created a beautiful, uniform look for my bridesmaids, while still letting each of their personalities shine through. She brought out the glam for me and my mom and made us feel amazing. Throughout my wedding, there were tears shed all day and my makeup stayed flawless. I would recommend her and her team to anyone looking for a professional, passionate makeup artist with an amazing personality and sense of humor. She will make you look better than you could ever imagine.

I loved working with Vickie! From the first time I met her for my engagement shoot up until my wedding day, she was fun and easy to work with. I didn’t have a particular look in mind for my engagement photos, bridal portraits, or wedding day so I let Vickie do what she does best.. create! I loved each look and received so many compliments. My husband even said, “I love your makeup. She didn’t go over the top and you still look like yourself.” There was a scheduling conflict for my bridal portraits and she was very flexible. She worked with my photographer to make sure I was able to get my portraits done. On my wedding she did my makeup plus 12 other women with no problem. I highly recommend Vickie and look forward to working with her again.

Let me just start by saying I LOVED Victoria! She was so sweet and she did an amazing job. I wanted a natural look for my wedding, I just wanted to glow a bit and she did exactly what I asked for and more. I was glowing and it looked like it was from my natural looks. She was kind and fun to be around and I highly recommend her! She did me and my mother in laws makeup and I can't complain about one thing. She is very affordable and willing to work with you. She did an outstanding job and if I ever need a makeup artist again for anything she will most definately be the first person I call. You won't be disappointed, I gurantee that.

Vicki's gift of makeup artistry is absolutely amazing. I am so glad I found her. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw myself in the mirror and she brought my dad to tears when he saw me. I asked for a soft and natural look with some pop and I could of never imagined the final product would be so stunning. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! There simply is no other words to put it plainly. Victoria is truly a God sent and her talent is definitely of one God given. I was responsible for hiring a makeup artist for my sisters wedding party which included myself, my mom, 1 aunt and of course the bride. This was all of ours first makeover and she delivered above and beyond our expectations. She made my sister look so amazing that even her 7yr old daughter couldn't stop telling her how beautiful she looked. I refused to wash my face for two days, I felt so beautiful...lol. Not only was her work top notch but her personality was one that cant be forgotten. From the time I first called her to set up an appointment till after the wedding she kept me posted, never made us feel like we were bothering her and was just amazingly accommodating. She became part of the family that day and didn't even know it, she was so amazing!! She was timely, and left us flawless. And even though she made us look like celebrities, she charged us more the fair and reasonable rates. She will forever be my go to makeup artist...no matter where I'm at. I cant wait to see her blow all the way up and take this makeup industry to another level. Cant thank you enough Victoria!!!

Hair and makeup artist for wedding
Victoria was my hair and makeup artist for my 10/21/23 wedding. I had a hard time finding an artist who was in my budget especially because I was just getting my hair and makeup done, none of my bridesmaids or family, and many artists have really high minimums. I'm thankful for Victoria because she could come to my hotel and get me ready and I looked absolutely amazing on my wedding day - my dream look was really achieved. She was always very sweet and kind. However, I had some problems leading up to the day that meant I can't leave a 5 star review... I had some communication problems because my emails would sometimes bounce back and my calls go to a phone no longer in service - one time I even had to reach out to her on Facebook to get in touch with her (after I had paid). I booked my trial with her and drove from where I live in DC down to Richmond (even staying in a hotel overnight) and she wasn't there. I was truly shocked. She was very apologetic and came up to meet me in my apartment in DC for my trial instead, but it left a pretty bad impression and made me very anxious for my wedding day. Thankfully, she was better at communicating over text after that and showed up on time for my wedding day and everything worked out really well, so all's well that ends well, but there were some bumps in the road.

Unprofessional and disrespectful on my big day
She was over two hours late to the venue which means my wedding could not start at the time I told my guests. She would not answer phone call when trying to find out her ETA. She did not bring any supplies or tools needed to properly do my hair (she forgot I paid for that service) so I had to get a rush style and my makeup was rushed and even if I didn’t like it (which I did not) I did not have room for improvement. Just terrible! Unprofessional and she still doesn’t answer or respond to txt or calls to discuss some type of reimbursement.
