Dreams & Vision Became Reality

Words can't express my boundless gratitude to Vermilion Strings. I married the love of my life on 12.31.19 in Jena, Louisiana (which was about 2 hours away from Lafayette, LA). When other company's said no to my event being NYE Vermilion Strings said yes without a doubt. No only did they perform on a holiday but also two hours away from their home base. Emma G with Vermilion Strings was a Godsend and was very easy to work with. She offered several ways to provide payment without me even have to leave my seat. They were even accommodating when I decided a month prior to the even to add an additional instrument. Vermilion Strings performers were prompt and very timely. Although I provided them with a time line of the ceremony events they filled in exactly when and where needed. They sounded angelic, magical, and whimsical. Vermilion Strings added a very elegant touch to my wedding day and made it truly a day that my husband and myself will remember and cherish forever. Vermilion Strings has been the talk of my small town event for nearly the past 2 weeks. I cannot thank Emma and Vermilion Strings enough and thank you for helping me bring my fairy tale wedding to reality.

We hired Vermilion Strings for our wedding on 12/9/2023 and had a wonderful string trio for our ceremony music. They were reasonably priced and highly talented! Not only were they incredibly talented musicians, but their professionalism and flexibility made working with them a delight. Communication was always quick and easy. Thank you Vermilion Strings for making our day even more memorable with your beautiful melodies! Five stars doesn't seem enough to express our gratitude. Highly recommended for anyone seeking live music for their wedding!

Great music without much notice

We contacted Vermilion with only a few weeks before the wedding. They were amazingly responsive and helpful. The list of available songs was great and the music in the courtyard was perfect.

Joel Martinez - Violinist

Joel Martinez was amazing at our wedding. He played for my ceremony and our first dance he did an instrumental version of our song. Not only was it everything I asked for, but more and working with him was a BREEZE. Anything I changed or asked for he accomplishes and accomplished. Professional & Talented

We hired Vermillion Strings a week before our wedding because the first company we hired was unresponsive. They were able to squeeze us in for a cello/ violin duet for our ceremony. They showed up on time, performed beautifully, and we received many compliments from our wedding guests.

Beautiful Ceremony Music

The ceremony music played by Vermilion Strings was beautiful. We were able to find a good mix of classic string music and some pop renditions on their repertoire list that worked perfectly for our wedding. Working with them leading up the wedding, they were kind, efficient, and flexible.

An absolute must for your wedding!

I hired Vermillion Strings for my wedding back in August and am so happy I did. My husband and I knew we wanted live music for our reception, but wanted something simple and elegant for a dinner style reception. We looked into hiring a violinist or a cellist, but ultimately decided a cellist when we listened to samples from Vermillion’s website. We were able to choose from so many great options to have played during our reception and even could request a special song for our first dance. The music was so beautifully played as well! Looking back at videos from our reception, I’m so happy we decided to go with Vermillion Strings. All interactions I had with them were professional and our cellist the day of was so talented and sweet. I can’t thank her enough for the beautiful touch she added to our wedding.

I know Dr. Baker from my home church, but he was also a teacher at my high school. When I changed my wedding location to Lafayette a few months before our wedding date, I reached out to Dr. Baker's wife, Lauren, to see if they would be available to play at my wedding. Mrs. Baker was very responsive and very helpful. We also added Will Green, who is a trumpeter, which added the final touch on an amazing wedding.

Great professional company to work with! I own a venue in Youngsville, La and Vermilion Strings is always my go to when booking my All Inclusive Weddings. We regularly hire these musicians because they are always professional, prompt and follow different agenda specifics we setup on timelines.

They ask for just a few requirements in their contract and they are willing to follow any timeline; this makes it so easy to work with this group of musicians.

Wonderful!

We hired Vermilion Strings to play at our wedding in November. We had a string duo. They were fantastic! The music selections were very broad and it was easy to find music we loved. They are very responsive when arranging services. Our officiant was over 30 min late to our ceremony and they were gracious enough to continue playing despite the delay. I highly recommend them to everyone!

Beautiful Music

We loved the music provided by a cello and violin duet from Vermilion Strings. They helped us select songs, and also their website was helpful to us when deciding on which songs we wanted. They have a great selection of classical and pop. They even improvised another tune during the ceremony when there was a time that we had failed to plan a song. They played outdoors on a cold January afternoon without a problem. It was perfect!

just the right touch of elegance

The solo violinist added just the right touch and beautiful music for our intimate wedding ceremony. Same thing for playing at our wedding reception dinner. Patrons of the restaurant thanked me for the lagniappe of the beautiful music they got to enjoy. Amazing!

Lauren and Paul created a magical evening of music at twilight!

Lauren and Paul were the dream pair to work with for our daughter's wedding. They were professional and flexible, anticipating our needs, and superseding our expectations at each turn. From safety precautions during the COVID pandemic to set up for our outdoor space, they were prepared, organized, and communicative. Now for the music! They are the type of duo that plays each piece better than the recordings we had been listening to for weeks, and they even added choruses when our bride took a bit longer to walk down the aisle than expected! So accommodating, professional, and talented!

Emma and the team of musicians at Vermilion Strings were perfect vendors for our wedding ceremony! We opted for the violin and cello duo and were very pleased with the pricing. Because of the pandemic, we rescheduled (twice!) but the team was so accommodating and understanding. So communicative and reliable. We requested a bit of a custom piece after our ceremony--a quick play of a fun song transitioning into our first dance, and the musicians nailed it. Highly recommend to add class and ambiance to your event!

Beautiful and professional!

Vermilion Strings played for our destination wedding this year in Mexico. We chose to have a violinist and pianist who played before and during the ceremony. Vermilion Strings is professional with serious musical talent - every single piece they played was so beautiful. Lauren was very accommodating with providing pages of music selections, but also helped us to narrow down and choose the right music for us and our ceremony. Simply beautiful, elegant, and calming.

We chose a solo harpist for our wedding and it could not have been more elegant and gorgeous! I also found it to be so relaxing considering how nervous I was to walk up the altar with everyone watching! Also great communication from Emma who handled everything perfectly!

Exactly What We Wanted!

I had always dreamed of having a string quartet at my husband and my wedding. As a music teacher and someone who has played guitar at mass for years, I knew exactly which songs, psalms, and music settings we wanted to play for the wedding mass. It’s more than just music performance

Saying Vermilion Strings makes good music is like saying Steve Jobs made neat computer stuff!

We were fortunate enough to work with Vermilion Strings for my mother-in-law’s birthday party recently. It was a milestone birthday, and we probably had around 100 guests of all ages from diverse regions around the country. The party was unforgettable not only for the beautiful music but also for the Vermilion Strings attention to logistics and detail before the first table and chair were ever set up for the party!

Vermilion Strings understood immediately the impact of the crowd size, age profile, room space and acoustics, time of day, and other factors we hadn’t thought about to produce the perfect arrangement of instruments, performers, and the song list necessary to create a wonderful party. Having somebody so familiar with music production and performance made our overall experience of actually putting everything else together (invitations, food, drinks, etc.) much more tolerable and saved our sanity.

Without Vermilion Strings, it would have been much more difficult if not impossible to achieve what we did! We certainly recommend Vermilion Strings not only for the music, which was outstanding, but for the professionalism and thoughtfulness that happened both in and out of sight before, during, and after the party to make it exceptional.

Absolutely amazing!!

I reached out to Vermilion Strings knowing I wanted ceremony music for my outdoor wedding, but wasn't exactly sure which instruments or how many I wanted. Emma was so helpful and stayed in touch with me throughout the entire process to help me make decisions. Their website was also super helpful as there are audio and videos of the different instruments they offer as well as song selections. After a few failed attempts to secure a pianist on our own for a cocktail party, we were directed towards Lauren at Vermilion Strings. Within hours of speaking, Lauren was able to find us exactly what we were looking for and our pianist really made our party perfect. On October 18 and 19, 2018, we were very fortunate to have Mrs. Lauren Baker and the Vermilion Strings group play at both our rehearsal dinner and our ceremony. Having them play both venues was special, because the group was able to play some really fun and beautiful pieces at the rehearsal. Such contemporary songs could not be played in this particular church for the ceremony, so hearing those selections at the rehearsal dinner was a treat. They truly are the best of the best in terms of performance both during the event and before the event (the planning phase etc). Top notch all around. If you plan on having the best string ensemble, I recommend calling ASAP as they will book up quickly.

I hired vermillion strings for my daighters wedding ceremony. Emma, the coordinator, was responsive, answered all of my questions, and coordinates with the church organist. This made my job as mother of the bride/ wedding coordinator much easier. The pricing was competitive. We had 3 musicians, violin cello and trumpet. They were professional,and the music was great. When I first booked Vermilion Strings, I was tentative because they were above the price range that I had hoped to spend for ceremony musicians. However, I could not be happier with my choice to go with them! Lauren and her fellow musicians could not be more responsive or professional. Simply put, they are a pleasure to work with. Above this and all other points, from the moment I was rushed into the bridal suite in our church, I could not believe my ears. There is so much that goes into planning the perfect wedding! I would have to say that hiring Vermilion Strings would have to be one of the best decisions we made in our planning process. Mrs. Baker was very professional and easy to reach. We were able to coordinate everything without meeting and that was a big plus for me with my job schedule! Definitely recommend these musicians!

Lauren did an amazing job! I am so happy we chose to have a violinist... she made everything so perfect and sounded amazing! Very easy to work with and helped me get exactly what I wanted! Thanks so much!

The music at Caroline’s wedding could not have been more beautiful!!! It was truly breathtaking!! I could not have imagined it any better. I have received so many compliments from our guests on how incredible the music was. It was by far my favorite and most special part of the wedding.
