Wonderful Experience with my Wedding at Walnut Creek
We used Walnut Creek for our wedding venue and could not have been happier. It truly fitted the vibe of my wedding, a bit country, a bit bohemian, etc. The 100+-year-old barn is GORGEOUS, and the reception hall is very pretty with the lighting in the rafters. At first, I thought I would provide all my food and handle my music needs, as Jason gives you the flexibility to do what works best for you, but I am SO glad I used them for our catering and DJing service. It just took a huge load off my plate and allowed me to focus on the fun of my wedding. I cannot recommend this place enough if you seek an affordable, all-inclusive service that will allow you to have a wonderful experience in a relaxed environment. We used Walnut Creek for our wedding venue and could not have been happier. Couple that married here
This venue is hands down the best venue we looked at. We tied the knot here and it was the most magical wedding I could have ever imagined. The barn is breathtaking and the owners Jason and mindy were fabulous they made sure there was no stress at all on our big day! I would recommend this wedding venue to anyone! And it didn’t break the bank either. We were able to have our ceremony, reception, catering, emcee,Dj services and food all for around 3,500 that is a great deal! This venue is hands down the best venue we looked at. Beautiful Venue - Excellent Service
When we were deciding on a venue for our September 2020 wedding, we visited numerous local venues. Once we saw the new Walnut Creek, our decision was made. My cousin was married there 20+ years ago under different owners and it was pretty and rustic, but really rustic. The current owners have done so, so many updates to this property. The old barn was open air, hot, and dusty at my cousin's wedding, but with ours, we reaped the benefits of the mountain of updates...a gorgeous window looking out over the beautiful property, air conditioning (a real blessing during a hot September day), and a groom's space with mini kitchen right below the barn. We did not have to decorate for the wedding ceremony because of the decor that already exists in the barn. The new handmade entry doors are really something special.
We held our reception in the hall which is just steps away from the barn. Again, you really don't need to decorate, and you can rent table cloths and flowers or lanterns from the venue. We used their table cloths and lanterns and added some themed items to personalize the decor. This is also where the bridal suite was located with places to hang your dresses, beautiful antique dressers and seating that really make the space special.
The venue catered our meal with a brisket and chicken taco bar. Our guests could not say enough good things about the taste of the authentic recipes used for the meats and the sides/condiments. I highly recommend this venue for any celebration...but more importantly - once you hire them, have them cater your event! You will not be sorry. Jason also provided DJ services, and was our emcee for the event as well.
The real benefit to this particular venue is access to the owners. Jason and Mindy's knowledge and abilities are the reason our wedding was absolutely perfect. Jason and Mindy met with us initially and after discussing our vision for the wedding made recommendations and worked with us every step of the way. With this team, you basically get a wedding planner on site...the knowledge they bring to the table is invaluable. But most importantly, they were there all day, checking to make sure we all had what we needed...Jason made a point to ensure I had everything I needed, and made this day better than I had even dreamed it could be.
I was 53 and this was my 3rd wedding....I never imagined that this was the wedding where I would feel like a princess. But it was. Thanks in no small part to Jason (and Mindy), who made sure it was perfect. These owners really care about you and your day and will do everything in their power to ensure you have the best day ever. I have had two more family members get married at Walnut Creek since my wedding, and their experiences were similar to mine...do not hesitate to consider this venue for your wedding...or any other event. When we were deciding on a venue for our September 2020 wedding, we visited numerous local venues. Gorgeous Rustic Wdding Benue
Beautiful Country Venue! Property is meticulously maintained. Barn is gorgeous & the large picture window makes you feel like you are outside. The reception hall is just a few feet from the Barn. Barn & reception hall are both beautifully set up so very little decorating is needed. Just bring your flowers. There is lots of green space for lawn games, ax throwing or just for guests to spread out & visit. Many beautiful photo ops.
Jason & his wife Mindy will bend over backwards to make sure that everything you want happens. We may have drove him a little crazy with constant calls, messages, changing plans etc. But he was never anything but professional, fun & accommodating to all of our requests. He was our wedding coordinator, deejay, & caterer. The food is outstanding, very reasonably priced, plentiful & so convenient to not have to coordinate with another service. Be sure to let him do your rehearsal dinner AND wedding dinner. The Barn at Walnut Creek really is one stop shopping. We couldn’t be happier with how EVERYTHING turned out!Beautiful Country Venue! The made it very special
Jason and Mindy are the whole package when it comes to event planning. Jason handled all the music at our wedding. They helped us set up and made sure everything went smoothly. The venue is absolutely breathe taking and they even offer axe throwing and fireworks.Jason and Mindy are the whole package when it comes to event planning. Getting Married there in February 2019
Jason and Mindy have been amazing to work with. The location is gorgeous and perfect! They are handling our dj services and catering as well and have gone above and beyond to make this experience stress free and everything we want. I highly recommend Venue 481 and can’t wait to have my wedding there!Jason and Mindy have been amazing to work with. The location is gorgeous and perfect! ruined our day
There are many things to be said about my husband and I’s experience at the Barn at Walnut Creek. First, the venue is amazing. It is beautiful outdoors and in, and isolated in a way that makes it peaceful, and drowns out the rest of the world. My husband and I fell in love with it instantly and knew that is where we wanted to get married.
The only question we had was, are the building's air-conditioned- as we were getting married in July. The owner, Jason assured us it was and on a warm day we initially visited- the Barn was nice and cool. On the day of our wedding, however, it was hotter inside the barn than outside. When my then-fiance tried to find Jason to address the issue, he was nowhere to be found.
When he finally found him he told my husband that was the best he could do. He offered no apologies and made no attempt to make the situation right. It nearly ruined our ceremony as many of our guests were heat sick, and having a hard time making it through a very short service. We paid a lot of money for that venue- and he flat out lied to us.
One of his employees (who also happens to be a friend of ours) told us that the air conditioner was not made for a building that large, and has since been replaced. I am very happy it is fixed for all the couples getting married there now- but for us, it ruined a one-time only experience.
It was very frustrating that communication was so poor leading up to our wedding. He often forgot who we were and what we had already paid for. And then when the rehearsal dinner came he was so overbearing and micromanaged every minute to where we only got to practice once, and I left in tears, and our pastor left angry. We were not prepared for the actual ceremony as a result.
All in all, I wish we had chosen any other place but this. Many couples claim to have great experiences, which makes me so happy because I will have to always remember my one and only wedding as a nightmare. I would not wish that on anyone.
