Venue 1223 and Downtown Catering and their whole staff were incredible from start to finish. They allowed us to build and execute the most amazing New Year’s Eve wedding. Olivia helped us every step of the way, always giving great advice along the way. Our guests had nothing but good things to say about the venue and the food! We couldn’t have pictured anything more perfect. If you’re looking for a venue that will step back and let you create your dream from scratch and give you the support you need, look no further! -

I can not recommend Downtown Catering highly enough to other couples who are getting married. Downtown catering did a wonderful job by providing so many different menu options to ensure we could serve our guests exactly what we wanted. Their presentation was great. The staff was professional. We were very happy with how it turned out!
Our coordinator that we hired with Downtown Catering, Olivia, MADE our wedding everything that it was. Olivia was so responsive, proactive, and did not overlook a single detail in the planning phase of our wedding. She made sure that each vendor knew their role and what to do on the day of the wedding. She was always so kind and patient with me when I had questions. On the day of the rehearsal and the wedding she showed up early and with a smile. She worked so hard the entire day and made sure I was relaxed and had everything I needed. Our wedding wouldn’t have been all that it was without her help. -

Great venue for weddings less than 100 people. Beautiful reception area, very cute garden area for ceremony, wonderful staff, amazing food, I could go on and on!! I’m so so glad we decided to have our wedding here!! Would DEFINITELY recommend to anyone! -

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND VENUE 1223 & DOWNTOWN DELI CATERING! We had our wedding at their location and catering done by them. My new husband has some food allergies and they went above and beyond to accommodate us, as well as the other guests. Maren was or coordinator for the wedding and she made the day so much more special with thinking of the little details we forgot about. She allowed us to be able to just enjoy our special day with friends and family! Couldn't have done it without her and the amazing staff! It was the perfect location for the southern, lowcountry style wedding we were dreaming of. This is a great location for all types of parties and meetings. We will definitely be using them again! -

Where do I even begin?! Downtown Catering is AMAZING. We did not do a food tasting for our wedding so we had no idea what to expect, but our guests were RAVING about our food. I had no idea how delicious everything would be! The servers and bartenders were on the ball the entire night. We also hired their Wrap Up Coordination with Maren Rogers and she is absolutely fantastic. She is extremely professional, organized, sweet, positive, and always has a can-do attitude. We had an outdoor component to our wedding day, and it poured ALL day, and I felt confident knowing Maren had everything under control. She and her assistants made sure that we had appetizers waiting for us right after the photos were done so that we could try our cocktail hour food! We had stations for food and her servers made sure we had a plate of food from each station brought to us -- it was perfect! I have nothing but great things to say about Downtown Catering - hire them and you will NOT be disappointed! -

We couldn't have asked for a more professional and accommodating team to work with for our big day. Leah & Ryan made sure everything ran on time and especially catered to our families making sure every request was met. They pulled off a plated dinner for 200 guests, delicious food and even had cocktails and apps waiting for us prior to making our grand entrance. We would use them 10 times over again and for all events moving forward. Also be sure to check out their amazing wedding venue, Venue 1223. They pulled us out of a bind due to weather by allowing us to use the courtyard for the ceremony. Both inside and out offer the perfect setting for an intament setting! -

Maren and the Downtown Catering staff are WONDERFUL to work with for any occasion. We have used Downtown Catering for our work Christmas parties for the last two years and have already booked them for two events we have planned for this year. -

Natalie Sent on 06/17/2018We honestly could not have picked a better photographer to work with! Heather was so kind, accommodating and flexible, even when the weather was less than perfect! She went above and beyond to make sure that we captured everything on our photo "wish list", and was extremely professional and such a pleasure to work with the entire day! She even sent a few sneak peaks to us the very next day, and everyone I have shared them with have remarked on how amazing and talented she is! Thank you for making Ryan and I so immensely happy and feel so at ease throughout the entire process. We are so thankful to have worked together!

Brandi Sent on 06/19/2012Downtown Catering and Events is fabulous! We did a tasting with them and did not even bother to look at other caterers. They were flexible and patient with my many menu changes and were happy to offer suggestions to help us stay within our budget. Every member of the staff was friendly and helpful and my guests event commented on it. Everyone that I spoke with at my wedding and after has mentioned how wonderful the food was. Even though I had to modify some things for my budget I still feel like I got everything I wanted and more. I also used their wedding planning service, Wedding with Leah, and am so happy I did! I worked with Tiffany Lucca and Leah McCarthy and they truly made my vision come to life. I cannot thank them enough for the hard work they put into making my day perfect. It was amazing to walk in the day of my wedding and see everything I had envisioned come out even better than I thought possible. Tiffany did an amazing job the day of my wedding. Everything ran smoothly and she was there to answer any questions I had. She even came by the hotel the morning of to drop off some snacks I had ordered for my girls while we were getting ready. Thank you Tiffany and Leah for an amazing day! My day was perfect thanks to Tiffany, Leah and the rest of the Downtown Catering team. -

User6616993 Sent on 04/17/2012We used Downtown Catering to cater our wedding day in Savannah, GA. They are so flexible- in that they can travel! They are connected to Weddings with Leah (a wedding planning company) so they really understand the business and how to make things work.
The food itself was amazing. I loved everything but i should say that everyone is still raving about the crabcakes with rasberry habenero sauce over wilted spinach. Such an amazing job!!!
Weddings with Leah-- Tiffany Luca & Leah really worked hard to put together the perfect wedding day. They helped in so many countless ways but i really noticed it on the days leading up to the wedding. On the day of, i didnt have to worry about a thing. They took care of everything. She helped guide us through the evening and made sure we had anything and everything we wanted. -

When I plan an event, service and quality are important. I recommend Venue 1223, as the quality of food and service is excellent. I've used their catering services for several of my events as well, and highly recommend them. Good selection of options that fit any occasion. -

Vicky Sent on 07/22/2010I took a risk on using Downtown Catering for my Savannah wedding since none of my other vendors had ever worked with them, but I was not disappointed! The food was absolutely fantastic. My fiance and I consider ourselves "foodies" so we were really particular about the menu we were going to serve our guest. They worked with me to include all of the elements I wanted (cocktail hour appetizers, surf & turf for dinner, bar services, etc) while also being considerate of my budget.
They helped to coordinate everything and on the day of the wedding the staff was so professional and helpful. The night was perfect thanks to Downtown Catering! -

We hired this catering company last year for our daughter's wedding and had to reschedule due to the pandemic. We had given a lot of money to keep them as a catering company and when we finally had to finalize our payment, my husband noticed that the price increase by $1,000.00. When my husband contacted the catering company, they told him it was for rescheduling fee. What??? We were so upset and they were not wanting to help us out about this outrageous fee. Everyone was affected by the pandemic and no one else charged a rescheduling fee. At this point, it was too late to hire another catering company. In my opinion, that was very unprofessional and will never recommend them to anyone.
