Perfection
Where do I even begin? Vein Jane’s made all my wedding cake dreams come true! I have purchased treats from Vein Jane’s over there years and they have always been tasty and amazing. So, when it came to my wedding cake there was no question who I was reaching out too! The cake was a huge hit and was devoured in minutes, and there was more than plenty for our guests. Most had a second helping. We also couldn’t help ourselves and did not freeze the top. Gives us another excuse to order a cake for our anniversary! So if you are in the market for a wedding cake or any cake for a special occasion Vein Jane’s is a 10/10.Vein Jane's Cakes and Pastries's reply:

We had a great experience working with Amanda for our wedding cake and dessert bar! She made everything so easy. Not only was it beautiful, but everything taste amazing too! I would highly recommend Vein Jane!!

Karen Sent on 08/21/2018Amanda's cakes are delicious, and working with her to provide our wedding cake and cupcakes was an absolute breeze. We wanted a simply but elegantly decorated cake, several dozen cupcakes, and 4 different cake flavors among them, and she delivered flawlessly. We and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the cakes and we'd happily hire her again!

Jenna Sent on 07/18/2018Not only was the cake absolutely delicious, working with Amanda is simple and enjoyable. She has such a vibrant attitude and her passion for her work made us so comfortable. Let me throw in that If you like strawberries, go with her strawberry frosting.... tastes like fresh strawberries melting in your mouth. Not only have we used her for holiday parties, Valentine’s Day but most importantly- OUR WEDDING, and it wouldn’t have been the same without her touch and love.

Dara Sent on 04/28/2018Finding a baker to create a brownie cake is difficult. I am not a traditional bride. I do not like cake. I love brownies. I wanted to have a very simple tiered "cake" comprised solely of brownie. I was not interested in the tower of cut brownie squares or anything akin to that. I received Amanda Felix's information from a wedding planner. Without sampling the brownies first, I hired Amanda to make the cake. It was difficult to arrange a time to sample, as I live in Northern California and her business is in Southern California. Two weeks before the wedding, she made me a fresh sample to try. It was amazing! This set the bar- I had high expectations now. Amanda came early to deliver the cake and helped my mother-in-law with presentation. At the wedding, my husband and I shared a piece. The guests couldn't get enough of the cake. One in particular came up to me and told me how much he loved the brownie cake. He had picked up five slivers for friends at his table, but all of them got a piece for themselves so he ate all five slivers himself. He is not a man who likes dessert, so this is a HUGE compliment coming from him.
I asked our caterer to put aside a part of the brownie cake for us to take to the hotel with us. (Thankfully, I did this because there may not have been leftovers- the amount was perfect). In the morning, I ate a significant proportion of it. WOW! The flavors were amazing! Best breakfast after the wedding EVER.
Amanda made the cake to my specifications: simple, no foil, no design, no fondant, no flowers or foliage. Just some powdered sugar. I love it. She is able to do all the things I listed above (foil, fondant,etc). -

Christine Sent on 08/06/2018Amanda made our wedding cake and it was perfect!! The white cake and buttercream frosting with glitter sugar in a couple layers was exacty what we wanted and it tasted amazing! Our guests are still talking about how delicious our cake was even months after our wedding! Amanda was very accommodating and easy to work with. She is so passionate about her baking and it shows with her to-die-for cakes and treats!!

It happened to fall on her birthday, but never the less she was willing to work on her birthday and make me the happiest bride! I knew she was willing go above and beyond for me when she not only made arrangements to do cake tasting at my house to convienence me and my schedule; but she took the time and went out of her way to present a beautiful detail oriented display! We chose a white chocolate almond butter cake, and our guests were impressed! I told Amanda that I wanted the cake to sparkle! And that’s what I got! SPARKLE!!!

Joann Sent on 06/26/2018If you aren't hiring Amanda for ALL of your wedding dessert needs, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG. Amanda is professional and super fun to work with. Her cake, and all of her desserts, are incredible. We did alternate layers of butter cake with classic vanilla bean buttercream and chocolate cake with Colombian espresso frosting. I wanted gold, but not glitter--Amanda HAND PAINTED the sprinkles covering those layers. Her cake is moist as can be and the frosting is like eating a perfect, sweet cloud. Amanda goes the extra mile every step of the way and her finished product speaks for itself. There are so many curve balls and set backs and stressors during the process of wedding planning--hire Amanda and dessert won't be one of them.

Tori Sent on 07/19/2018I work at a wedding venue, so it's safe to say I've seen and tasted a lot of cakes! Which means I've also worked with a lot of cake bakers. There's a reason why I chose Vein Jane's to do the cake for my wedding, they're simply the BEST! The whole process from start to finish was very smooth, easy, and fun! I had a specific vision of what I wanted, and I got exactly that, and then some. Hands down the best cake I've ever had! It's not just another "wedding cake" with the typical store bought, factory taste. It has that grandma's homemade taste with the look of elegance. With all of the weddings I've worked and been to, I've seen A LOT of cake go to waste. However, at my wedding there was not a crumb left behind. I highly recommend Vein Jane's for any occasion. It's worth every penny and you will not be disappointed!
