The ladies at Veils and Tails are great! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my dress, and my husband did too!! They are great when you're at the store, and make sure you love your dress and how it fits before they let you leave with it. My sister-in-law even found a dress to wear to the wedding, and it looked great and even went with our colors! I can't wait to have an opportunity to wear my dress again! Maybe for our 1 year anniversary pictures! :)

I made a last minute appointment at Veils and Tails before going in to Madison to try on dresses. I was so impressed by the service and how quickly the owner knew exactly what I was looking for! I found my dream dress that I probably would not have picked out off of the rack and cancelled the rest of my appointments. I can't wait to wear the dress on the big day!

After looking at many, many other dress shops, I arrived at Veils and Tails. I was a bit skeptical upon entering. I remember thinking "what is this little shop going to have that I haven't seen?" Well, it really isn't little at all once you get inside. They have a great selection of dresses and the women that work here are so nice! They had a dress by a designer that doesn't even have a website that was absolutely perfect! They were always flexible with appointments which was a huge plus since I lived >60 minutes away. Alterations were very inexpensive. I paid $70 for cups including push up cups to be sown in, they took in both sides by the bust (an area with a lot of bead work), and the bustle. There were times they were really busy (during prom season) and I had to wait a few minutes for my appointment, but you could see they were very busy! Plus, they warmed me ahead of time that the is a busy day/time of day.

The staff at Veils and Tails is very patient and professional! They will also do the best they can to help you find exactly what you are looking for! They do all alterations in house as long as you order your dresses from them and the prices are very reasonable! $10 for a hem for each of my bridesmaids!

Best bridal shop around! Great quality dresses for way less than anywhere else. Alterations were super cheap and were completed professionally and on time! Great place, great staff, great everything!

Veils and Tails ordered me in my dream dress as nobody else carried it- I did pay for the sample to be shipped in. I ordered the actual dress immediately after trying on the sample. They did a wonderful job with some of the tricky alterations.
They also dressed the entire wedding party and everyone looked fabulous. Nobody had any complaints. They provided excellent customer service and I was always comfortable working with them. They were very reasonable with pricing on both the actual attire and the alterations.

Their staff is sooo kind! They put up with me trying on nearly every (gorgeous) dress in their store, with smiles on their faces! They are not stingy like the other places that only let you try on three dresses per visit. I actually found my dress in one of the "stingy" and unkind places, but was able to order the dress through Russair's so that I could work with their staff for all of the fittings, etc. Truly a joy to work with. I also found the jewerly for all of my attendants at their shop, and the value for cost was amazing! DEFINITELY worth the drive to the tiny town of Clinton, WI (only a short drive from Rockford, IL) to find your dress and for the experience of working with their staff!

This place is over 2 hours away from me, but with the deal I was given on my wedding dress, it was well worth the few day trips my mother and I took out there! I saved so much money, and they bustle for free! My dress had to have 2 bustles, so it was a great buy! I saved well over $350, plus alterations! They convinced me to order my dress a size smaller than I would have, but with their experience, I only needed the length taken off as an alteration when it came in! They are patient, kind, honest, and look out for your best interest. It is definitly a small Mom and Pop type shop, but that is what made the whole experience so much more worth it for me. They knew me when I walked in, and made sure I was taken care of until the wedding was over. Fabulous people, and I would 1000% recommend them!

Great small town wedding shop - they know you by name and are extremely helpful. They help you try on your wedding/bridesmaid dresses. They were a great help for all of our wedding party apparel. They special ordered our bridesmaid dresses even though they didn't have any in the store. The groom got his tux free because we did every thing else through them. Amazing customer service!

We were able to get all of our wedding attire through Veil's and Tails at a very reasonable price. They were always very kind and helpful with all the girls and guys needs. The only real trouble we had were with some of the ushers and groomsman tuxes. When the guys went to pick them up for the wedding there were some problems with some of the sizes but they were corrected right on the spot and all was well!! Overall it was a really great experience.

A great place to buy your wedding dress - I paid less for my sample gown then my co-workers' daughters paid for their prom dresses. My only issues was that they insisted I have my fittings on week nights - when I work over an hour away. But overall, I loved my dress, and the experience was extremely positive.

I loved this place so much I got my wedding dress, as well as bridesmaid dresses at Russair's. The alterations prices are amazing! I bought my dress off the rack and it was four sizes too big. You know what my alterations total was? $42.00!! This also included bra-cups. Some of my bridesmaids got by with paying just $10 for taking a side in. It's amazing! They were great to work with and I highly recommend Russair's.

I would definatly reccommend them to anyone..Especially if you are on somewhat of a budget!! They carry alot of unique dresses that you dont find at your usual Davids Bridal and what not !

I absolutely love my dress from Veils and Tails - a white, sweetheart neckline, A-line gown made of good quality silk organza with a custom-beaded belt sewn around the waist. It was a great dress at a great price! Driving to Clinton, WI from the Chicago Suburbs was a great way to get similar product (some dresses were even identical to those I had tried on elsewhere) and save a few dollars.
However, I can't say that I was blown away with their customer service - the women who work there are not the most personable or friendly, and they proved very difficult to reach by phone. I had planned to wear my mother's veil, and asked the ladies to assist in attaching the veil to a comb. At the next fitting, they told us that they were having trouble finding a proper comb, but that it would be completed by the following fitting. We arrived at that following fitting, and the ladies show us a tiny 1-inch wide comb, saying it was "all they could find". We took the veil and left the comb, went to Joann Fabrics, and retrofitted the veil ourselves.

I brought my wedding gown to Veils & Tails for alterations. I had several appointments with minimal issues. The disaster began when I picked my gown up about 2 weeks before the wedding. I immediately noticed lose threads sticking out from the torso & the dirty, wrinkled skirt with multi colored threads stuck within the layers of tulle. When I turned the gown, I noticed ink stains on the buttons & loops. The seamstress replaced the buttons as I waited. However, the owner, Carrie & the seamstress unraveled & stretched the delicate loops in an attempt to remove the ink stains. The ink was smeared & the loops were left as is as it was apparent their attempt to fix the problem was worsening it. The button loop broke by the time I arrived home. When I spoke with the seamstress, she explained that they didn’t have replacement loops, but offered to find “something” at JoAnn Fabrics to repair the loops. Concerned, I sent pictures of the broken loops to several specialty bridal seamstresses in Chicago & was told by each that because of the delicate lace the button loops are sewn into, they’re on a tape which provides the necessary support to keep the gown closed. The entire tape of loops needed to be replaced to ensure the necessary strength. I called Veils & Tails, spoke with the seamstress, explained what I had been told to which she admitted that she had no experience with this type of repair, but again, would “make it work” with something from JoAnn Fabrics. I sent Carrie an email that evening expressing my concerns & explained that I would not be bringing my gown back, a little over a week before I left for the wedding for them to experiment with the gown. Carrie never replied. Instead, I took my gown to an experienced seamstress in Chicago & paid for rush alterations to replace the loops. I lacked the time to have the remaining issues addressed, including uneven hems & blood stains on the inside of the skirt.
