Super flexible wedding video service!
Frank at Vanilla Video was great to work with and captured exactly what we wanted from our wedding day. We wanted to be sure the ceremony, speeches, cake cutting, first dances, and the fun of the reception were all included, and they delivered beautiful footage of our New Year’s Eve wedding. We’re so grateful to have these videos to remember such a special day. -

Professional, Quick, Talented!
We are so happy to have had Vanilla Video capture our Wedding Day. We opted for raw footage, and Corey did an incredible job on our wedding day of capturing EVERYTHING we could have asked for and more! There is such amazing footage both of the big moments (ceremony with amazing sound quality, first dance, etc), and of little moments (conversations between family members, guests enjoying cocktail hour, etc.) - we will cherish and enjoy rewatching the footage forever and I can say confidently that hiring Vanilla Video was one of the best decisions we made! Highly recommend! -

Highly Recommend!
We received a recommendation from two family friends suggesting we look into Vanilla Video for our wedding videographer. We are so happy we did and cannot wait to see and have the video to remember our wedding day forever. If you are on the fence of hiring a wedding videographer, we would highly recommend Vanilla Video. Our videographer for the day was polite and attentive and did his best to capture all of our moments without getting in the way of our photos. -

Excellent Video!
For our wedding video, we weren’t looking for anything too edited or fancy. We just wanted the raw footage to remember the event. Thankfully, we found Vanilla Video, and they provided us exactly that for a pretty reasonable price! The videographer they sent over was very nice and professional, and he worked with our photographer to make sure all the important moments were captured. We just went through the raw footage (several hours-worth!), and it was both extremely watchable and worked as a great representation of the day! This was exactly what we were looking for! We would definitely recommend Vanilla Video to anyone looking for good, raw footage! -

Photographer and Videographer Worked Together Really Well!
Corey was our videographer at our wedding at the Monona Terrace. He was nothing but wonderful to work with! My main worry was the videographer and photographer getting along and Corey's main focus was candids so he wasn't in the way of the photographer and they worked really well together! I would hire Vanilla Video again. We can't wait to get our video footage back! -

Great addition
We're so glad we decided to get a videographer for the wedding. A friend recommended Vanilla Video, and we're so glad they did! We had a tight budget, and Vanilla was able to work within this. Our videographer was very nice and jumped right in. We also liked that we could save money now by just getting raw footage, and that they will edit it for you down the road when you know more of what you want. Happy we book Vanilla video! -

Perfect choice! Highly Recommend!
We were on the fence about hiring a videographer, simply due to the added cost, however I am SO happy we did! Vanilla Video's prices are very affordable and customizable to a package that works for what you are looking for. We decided to go with 6 hours of raw footage, which covered our pictures, ceremony, and reception. This is EXACTLY what we were looking for, and was such a rare option to find in Chicago. We wanted to be able to look back on the day and see all of the special moments, but didn't feel the need to take on the extra cost for an "highlight" video. Vanilla Video was able to capture all of the key moments, and more, for us to look back on for years to come! I could not imagine not having a videographer, and I would highly recommend Vanilla Video! -

A great value!
I was hesitant about hiring a videographer because I didn't want a camera in my face and distracting me on the wedding day. I ended up barely noticing their team, and the videos they produced (and delivered within a few weeks) were everything we hoped for. And their pricing can't be beat. We're so happy we hired them and have video of our wedding day to watch and enjoy for many years.

So thankful we hired Vanilla Video!
We were originally unsure if we needed a wedding videographer, but I am so happy we ended up securing one, and that we chose Vanilla Video. The week before our wedding, my husband and I decided we wanted to find a reasonably priced videographer. Vanilla Video was quick to respond and assign someone to our day. We chose the package that includes a 5 minute highlight reel of the day, and then edited raw footage of the rest of the day. Our videographer was so nice - most importantly, I didn't even notice she was there. She did a perfect job capturing the day without drawing too much attention. She even stayed a bit later to capture some dancing footage at the reception, since our schedule was off by a half hour or so. We were so thrilled when we watched the highlight reel - it was perfect for us, and for the price. Highly recommend! -

Vanilla Video was the best price for a simple video of a wedding. Our videographer was amazing and created an amazing video unedited. He even stayed a little late to make sure that he got our bouquet toss. We are so happy to be able to see our entire wedding from the ceremony to the cocktail hour where our guests give us best wishes. We are so happy with the finished product and recommend Vanilla Video for the best value for something you will treasure forever. -

We used Vanilla Video for our wedding in June 2018 and couldn't be happier with our decision! We went back and forth for months about getting a traditional videographer for our wedding and it wasn't until we found the Vanilla team that we finally felt like someone truly met our wants and needs. From the start of the process, they were super responsive, transparent about pricing and packages, and patient with all of our questions. Day of, they were professional and I honestly barely knew they were there (which is impressive). We received our edited video and raw footage shortly after the wedding and we are more than satisfied. They did an excellent job of capturing the day and all of our loved ones having a blast. Having the raw footage of our day documented was such a treat because you aren't relying on someone else to decide "what are the best parts of the day". Instead, we get to see it all and personalize it ourselves. We highly recommend this route of a wedding video and HIGHLY recommend Vanilla Video. They are absolute rockstars! -

I have not seen the video yet from our daughter's wedding this past weekend, but I am thoroughly impressed with our videographer, Tom. He was punctual, courteous, calm. He was discreetly 'everywhere' but never in the way. Let me tell you my favorite thing of all. Unbeknownst to me, he let my daughter know that he was about to leave - after the agreed upon TEN hours - unless there was anything else that she wished him to film. Then he asked me the same. I had just asked the DJ to play a special song requested by my son, for him and his sister (the bride) to dance to together. Tom happily filmed our last request, a moment I would have been sad to have not captured. Thank you, Tom, for thoughtfully checking in with both of us! Our video will be the best keepsake ever thanks to you! -

I PROMISE you, going with these guys is the best decision you will make for your wedding, hands down. I decided on video at the LAST minute. I wasn't going to have it, I wanted to save money and didn't think I needed it, but under the pressure of the final days leading up to our wedding I was too afraid I'd regret it- so I researched local and affordable options and found the Vanilla team. They were incredibly responsive, friendly, assuring, and all around fantastic to work with. Their customer service was perfection and their product... what can I say? It was invaluable. Absolutely invaluable. Our wedding was such a blur and a bit overwhelming, so try as I did I couldn't really relax and see the big picture on the big day. The video they returned to me had me in tears- moments I'd forgotten or hadn't been around for were right there before my eyes-every detail captured in amazing quality. Brides, grooms, if you're looking for a videographer do yourself a favor and get one. I highly, highly, highly recommend this one. They clearly love what they do, and I won't ever forget how they helped me, how they captured the magic I so longed to live and now can relive. -

Hiring a videographer for our wedding was a last minute decision, as we didn't know if we had the budget for it. However, after hearing from family and friends that their biggest regret was not having one, we knew we had to make it work. Vanilla Video was very budget-friendly from the beginning, and their website was incredibly helpful for determining price from the get-go. You can pick and choose what services you want, so you aren't locked into packages. We also received what we ordered within days of our wedding via email-very easy. Our videographer was very professional. Thanks for making this part of wedding planning easy! -

Vanilla Video, there is nobody like them!!
They are beyond-words-amazing. They filmed my husband and I’s wedding day this past March. We could not be happier with the footage. The part about Vanilla that originally drew us to them, is that you get all of your raw footage and can choose to add on different edited versions. We loved this! This is exactly what we wanted! We knew that a few clips set to cheesy background music is not our style. Instead we wanted to be able to watch the day just as it happened. We have hours of raw footage from the day and a few different edited versions to show friends and family as well. Frank was our main contact at the Vanilla office. He made everything very easy to plan and designed a package of coverage that fit exactly what we needed. On the wedding day, our videographers (we had two, Cassie and Nick) fit seamlessly into the flow of our day. They captured all our most special moments, without being intrusive. In re-watching our videos, my husband and I get so excited to see how they captured the little nuances, glances, details of the day, and at the same time we didn’t even know they were there. No cameras in your face. Our guests and wedding party raved about how inconspicuous they were, yet present at all the right moments:) I don’t know how they did it, but they did. Having a lasting video of our wedding day was a priority for my husband and I, and we are so happy we chose the style and skill of Vanilla Video. We wanted someone who would shoot all the way thru and give us all the raw data (10 hours straight). We do some editing ourselves so we wanted the ability to do our own video if we wanted to. Also, their prices are such a great value, I recommended them for other events to my friends already! They also do the whole editing to make a montage or short if you want that too, and it's at such a better price than others, it's totally worth it.
Our videographer nick was awesome, got all the great shots and was a guy we would totally hang out with! I've already watched the videos multiple times! -

Vanilla Video did a great job capturing our wedding. They were extremely professional, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the process. They were also BY FAR the most reasonably priced videography company I could find. Additionally, they provided me with all of our footage less than a week after our wedding date - I was shocked at their quick turnaround time! And, most importantly, the footage is beautifully shot. The videographer included some nice tracking shots and scenery shots at our various locations that will be perfect for when we put together our edited wedding video and montage. All in all, a great value!
If you're looking for no-frills wedding video that will capture all the big moments of your big day, Vanilla Video is where it's at! -

We weren't sure if we wanted videography for our wedding, but figured as Vanilla Video was so affordable, it wouldn't be a bad idea to just have video to supplement to our photos and if it didn't turn out great, at least the two of us would enjoy watching it and reliving it, even if we didn't share it with others. Well now that I'm halfway through editing our video, I am SO happy we decided to get video and especially from Vanilla Video. Our videographer Ian was great. He showed up on time and worked great with the photographers. And although we didn't have a relationship with him before like we did with our photographers (don't expect to fawned over like your other vendors do to you because you're not paying for that; you're paying for affordable, straightforward service) he was really nice and we liked him immediately.
We purchased 6 hours of coverage, got 2 hrs of footage (2 wks after the wedding), and it is great! Ian got everything we would have wanted him to get (we didn't give him any direction beforehand), and he also got some surprisingly artistic and beautiful shots while we were getting our photos taken, so he has a good eye for composition (and did some nice camera panning on several shots). I watched a YouTube iMovie tutorial to get started and did some googling, but it's been super easy learning as I go along, and once you add music and play around with the audio (interlacing the vows over background music, etc.), and do some color editing it will look and sound AMAZING. Just watch lots of professional wedding videos to figure out the style you want to emulate. Also, I really love that I get to decide which clips I want instead of someone else so I can include the clips that depict people and moments that a videographer/editor might not necessarily realize are important to us. -

We worked with Younis at Vanilla Video and were so pleased with the day of service & the video outcome (edited by Isaac). I was not sure if we were going to have enough in our budget to get a videographer but the week OF the wedding, I reached out to Vanilla Video and they were able to book us, answer all my questions and get me exactly what I wanted within the day. We purchased the raw footage and USB and are very happy we have the memories on video to re-watch (raw footage makes for very funny commentary from everyone). For the price, quality and service; I would definitely recommend them! -

We were very happy with vanilla video. I didn't want to spend $3,000 on a videographer because I think it is just a bit excessive to film your entire day. Vanilla video was perfect for what we wanted. We had our ceremony filmed all the way until we left the church and it cost less than $300.00. The girl who videotaped our ceremony was really nice and she introduced herself when we were taking pictures after the ceremony. I really didn't even see her or the video camera until after the ceremony. She was so quiet and respectful and I guess I just had a lot on my mind! I received the video about 2 weeks after our wedding which I think is a great turnaround time. Sound and video quality were great. There were a few times where the camera had to be moved to a new position and the camera was looking at the ceiling. Or it was kind of noisy from bumping during the move but they never stopped filming so it wasn't a big deal for us and we didn't miss anything important. It is also nice that they give you the option to order different media after your order is complete. I think I might go back and also get the video put onto a DVD or flash drive. I would highly recommend Vanilla Video. -

Vanilla Video provided over 4 hours of video for our daughter's wedding and were got them in one week! Corey was our videographer and he was simply EVERYWHERE with his camera. I'm not sure he even stopped to eat!! There were a lot of moving parts on wedding day and Corey was able to capture just about everything you can imagine. He was professional and never in the way of the photographer. The video was broken into 4 segments and were easily downloaded to my computer or a flash drive.
We were able to forward them to whoever wanted to see them. The picture quality was outstanding. I would highly recommend Vanilla Video. I actually wish we had paid for 2 videographers instead of one. It is hard with one camera to capture guest reactions to such things as speeches by the maid of Honor, Best Man and Father of the Bride. So, I would recommend paying the extra $$ and hire 2 cameramen. -

My fiance and I wanted a videographer that wasn't expensive but that would also provide us with good quality raw footage of our event. We are so happy with Vanilla Video. They were responsive to many of our questions before the wedding, showed up promptly at our venue the day of our wedding, and filmed throughout the ceremony and reception. They provided us the link to view and download our videos with only a few days turnaround, and watching the footage from Vanilla Video brought tears to our eyes as we were able to relive the memories from the best day of our lives. Initially we weren't going to hire a videographer for our wedding but I am glad that we did. After some research we came across Vanilla Video and their very reasonable pricing and decided to hire them for our big day. Vanilla Video was very helpful in guiding us in which package/hours to purchase especially since we had 2 different venues that we wanted coverage.
I don't have the name of the videographer that we had but he was super nice and very professional. At one point in the cocktail hour we spoke and he was very complimentary of our ceremony/ceremony space and had nice words about me and my husband as a couple. We were married on a Saturday and had all of our clips plus the raw footage back the following week (I believe Wednesday). We decided to just purchase the raw footage for now. Vanilla Video captured all of our key moments and we couldn't be happier to have our wedding documented. It was funny finally sitting down to watch the footage as we came across a lot of funny things we didn't know happened the day of. Also, sound was picked up really well as a lot of convos between guests were picked up...luckily nothing censor worthy was said!
I would definitely recommend Vanilla Video for your professional video needs. -

Vanilla Video was a prefect and reasonably priced choice for us. We had a ceremony with just our immediate family present (we then had two receptions, one in a different state) and so we wanted to be able to share our ceremony with our family and friends. We got our videos the next day, and just love them. There is no fancy editing, just exactly what happened, and even some great close ups of the details before the ceremony started. My husband and I decided at the last minute to have a videographer, knowing that we would regret not having our personal vows and speeches captured for us to revisit. A friend of mine recommended Vanilla Video following her wedding, and I couldn't be happier that we chose them as well.
Frank and his team were professional, responsive and did a great job capturing our day. For less than $400, we received four hours of video coverage that was delivered to us within 36 hours. Being able to relieve our wedding within a couple of days was amazing!
Frank's team were on-time and performed exactly to the specifications of the contract. They even offered to stay later because our wedding ceremony had been delayed a bit. Guests continually comment on how inconspicuous the videographers were, and that meant a lot to us that people didn't notice cameras following them around.
I'd recommend Vanilla Video to anyone looking for a quality videographer for a great value. -

We booked this company 2 days before our wedding and got lucky that they had availability. The cost is very reasonable so we were able to get video of the girls and guys getting ready, the ceremony and the reception (10 hours total). The video was available for download 2 days after the wedding and we were able to share it with our friends and family. The videographer ate his own food in between getting ready and the ceremony so we didn't have to pay to feed him, which was a nice bonus. -

I would recommend Vanilla Video to anyone getting married. They captured our day through video without charging the price of the typical videographer. The videographer himself was very professional, checked in with us frequently, and was familiar with our venue. We were blown away after watching the video as we thought they would just set up the camera on a tripod somewhere and get everything from a couple of angles... however, he walked around, got different views, and took very professional looking video. The final product was about 3 hours of video from the 6 hours he was there and we received it about 3 days after our wedding. We also purchased a montage and I can't stop watching it! It is set to music and summarizes the whole day in about 2 minutes. Everyone told us that we needed to get a videographer, but I was very put off by spending thousands of dollars after already paying for a photographer. Vanilla Video was the perfect solution and ended up far surpassing our expectations! -

We hired Vanilla Video because we wanted to have a video of our wedding ceremony but did not have a large budget. The day after our wedding we received an email with 4 video clips as well as the entire ceremony on video. The video was perfect and it was so wonderful to have those memories captured forever. Well, I had Vanilla Video come out to record my wedding ceremony.
I loved being able to set up the hours based on what I needed, not based on packages that were not applicable to me.
We had a very small ceremony, so I only needed about an hour of footage. That was fine. I set up my reservation, and Nick was there on time and recording before I arrived.
I was so concerned because my wedding was very DIY and I had no wedding planner. I was also concerned about not being able to double check anything before getting started. However, after receiving my footage online (which was within 48 hours), I realized how great of a job Nick did.
Vanilla Clips are super convenient for Youtube.
I was so pleased overall, 100%!! -

As soon as I received access to the video, I reviewed all that was taped. What I saw was great and in certain scenes outstanding. I am very pleased with how the videographer captured everything. He was discrete & unobtrusive while filming.
Another way in which I was pleasantly surprised is how well the video & clips viewed on my PC. I have an old PC (over 6 years old) and have difficulty streaming a lot of the stuff on the internet. I had no trouble at all viewing either the clips or the video.
Another surprise that I had was that they were available to tape my son's wedding since my first contact with Vanilla Video was 4 days before the wedding. It was a pleasure dealing with the contract people who were polite & responsive. There were no issues when I changed my order twice; and since my final change resulted fewer charges than I had originally paid for, they refunded the overage within 24 hours.
I would definitely recommend their services to anyone who is looking to capture an event. -

My mom recommended getting a videographer for our wedding but we just didn't have it in our budget. However, after a little bit of research, I saw Vanilla Video offered just raw footage (and edited clips to share on social media) at a very reasonable price. And I was able to find a Yelp deal so we were able to accommodate my mom's recommendation within our budget and I'm really glad we did. The booking process was extremely easy. You just pick your options online and submit them for Vanilla Video's availability to accept the request. We contracted 2 hours at the hotel for "getting ready" shots and 4 hours at the ceremony/reception space (Although I'd like to note I think it worked better in our favor that the ceremony/reception was at the same venue). Younis was our videographer for the day and went above and beyond, staying an extra 1/2 hour to capture our 1st look (my fault!) and extra time at the reception since our speeches ran a little long. He wasn't invasive and for lack of better phrasing, basically invisible so the day ran really smooth. We got the footage and clips back sooner than what was contracted and the DVDs sooner than contracted as well so they were pleasant surprises. We always have the opportunity to go back to Vanilla Video to get it re-edited into montages with music so we didn't have to budget an arm and leg upfront. The day goes by sooner than you think. It's really worth it to have these moments, voices, and scenes captured in time by a professional because as much as you try, there's no way to see it all. -

Nice footage for the price
I found Vanilla Video by looking through WeddingWire vendors and I wanted a budget friendly option. Most videographers can be very pricey, but I was just looking for my wedding to be captured, nothing fancy. Vanilla Vanilla lets you customize the package you're looking for so you just get what you need/want to pay for. Ian was great on the day of and was just behind the scenes capturing everything. I got my video back in 4 weeks and we had so much fun watching it. This is a great option for those looking to keep it budget friendly but still quality footage. -

The video quality was great, there was a fast turn around, and the sound editing was fantastic. We are in all very happy with our wedding footage. The only downside was that the videographer filmed our ceremony on one side of the room and during the whole video all we could see was the back of my husband's head. It would have been better for him to set up in the center, so we could see both of our faces during the ceremony. -

You get what you pay for.
I'm trying to keep this in mind as I'm watching my videos. They are very basic like an amateur filmed it. There are shots where they're looking at an item but you can see the shakiness of the cameraman holding the camera. It would have made a huge difference if they had just used a tripod.
I had heard stories of how my nephew was hopping around the aisle and people realized that he didn't want to step on the rose petals. The cameraman missed this because the camera was following the other kids in front of him. I didn't really get any shots of my nephew who was following them. The camera was constantly turning left and right like they were undecided on who to look at. I wish they just set a tripod down and watched the aisle without moving.
I regret not paying more for a more professional service but I knew this wouldn't be as creative as a professional wedding videographer. This is basic and simple. Imagine asking your uncle film your wedding but with a nice, quality camera. -

We used Vanilla Video for our wedding Video. We selected the most basic package, Raw video, no editing. You truly get just that, the raw footage. The lighting was a little dark and there are moments when you could not hear what was being said (partly our fault, no mics for ceremony), but overall the video will do. If you are looking to spend a few hundred bucks for basic video, vanilla will suffice. -

We thought this would be a good way to go. I wanted someone to just sit and record the entire wedding so that we could see all the events we missed throughout the day. We paid for 90 min during the ceremony and 3 hrs during the reception. We received 1hr 45min of footage for 4hr30min of time. Some of the video was out of order during the ceremony and there were odd breaks during the reception. I am happy that we have the video, but I was disappointed with the final product based on the price. I feel like there should have been an hr more of our wedding. The guy who did our wedding was very friendly and polite, but I would think twice before hiring them to do your wedding. The company is probably best suited for meetings, conferences, sporting events, but not wedding. -
