  Our wedding venue eventually turned out to be everything we wanted. The staff who worked our wedding were wonderful. However, working with them was not the best experience. The event coordinator at the Valley River Inn was behind the ball at every turn. Their quote turned out to NOT include many items that were, in the beginning, discussed and supposedly agreed upon. The food (heavy appetizers) left a lot to be desired, and was not adequate for the number of guests they knew we were expecting. The worst part was that we were still finding and correcting errors in the contract the week before our wedding,
  
  The venue was beautiful and perfect for our wedding. However, if you want to hold your wedding there, make sure you get the details hammered out well in advance and IN WRITING. Recommend with caution.
