Valley Mills Farm is the ultimate event space for a rustic-barn wedding. GO WITH VMF!!! Their staff is absolutely phenomenal and went above and beyond. Monica answered all my questions leading up & was sooo helpful with setting up the layout of the seating arrangements. She called, texted, and even FaceTimed me the decor and event space, since I didn’t live in the area! My husband and I can’t thank her enough for making our vision literally come to life on the wedding day. Her venue also comes with other wedding services that made it SO easy to book vendors. The wedding space was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined and the alpaca farm on her property is such a fun touch & great convo piece!!! The biggest part that truly makes VMF and extraordinary place is that the staff is in constant communication and they will go out-of-the-box to make your vision happen!!!! Thank you Monica and staff!!!! -

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Valley Mills Farm! From the very beginning, the staff made us feel like family—they were incredibly friendly, attentive, organized and genuinely excited about our wedding. Monica was very supportive and accommodating. She made sure the entire planning process was seamless and stress-free.
The farm itself is absolutely breathtaking. Inside, the charm and beauty of the venue shine through, and the scenery outside is gorgeous with rustic touches that made every moment and photo unforgettable. Celebrating our wedding here truly felt like a fairy tale!
With the snowy weather, we had to move our wedding inside, and the team handled it flawlessly. Thanks to their attention to detail and care, our wedding day truly felt like a dream come true.

Beautiful venue
Valley Mills Farm is a wonderful and quaint venue with rustic charm. The scenery is beautiful, and the alpacas are a nice addition - the guests loved them! Our wedding was perfect. We enjoyed working with the owner Monica, who was very professional and made sure that everything was on track. I appreciate the wedding packages offered that include vendors like catering, DJ, and photobooth, which made wedding planning easier. I recommend VMF to anyone looking to get married, and we would certainly work with them again. -

Valley Mills Farm was amazing to work with for our wedding! Monica was great at getting back to us when we had questions and she was always super helpful from beginning to the end of the entire planning process. We used the Day of coordinator Tina that works with Valley Mills Farm and she was AMAZING! She set up times to talk with me before the big day and helped create a seamless timeline and make the day run smoothly! Our DJ EventXTC was also apart of our package and he was Great!! It was so easy to work with him and request anything we needed! Overall our wedding was a dream come true! -

VMF is a beautiful venue, with multiple locations to have your ceremony. Monica was wonderful from start to finish; she helped keep things on track the day of including the coordination of moving the ceremony inside due to rain. Her preferred vendors list and day of team were amazing. She even made our cake and cupcakes, which were delicious. The barn is climate controlled, updated, modern and absolutely beautiful inside and out. If you want a place to celebrate with someone there to support you through the whole journey, this is the place! -

My first impression of Valley Mills Farm was a delightful one. After getting engaged, my fiancé and I started reaching out to wedding venues to schedule tours. Most responded back quickly with an email, but not Valley Mills Farm. Monica took time out of her day to call and talk to us about our vision and what was important to us in not only a venue, but the entire wedding. One thing that was important to us was to keep the wedding simple and utilize vendors so that all our loved ones could enjoy the day. When we toured the stunning venue and learned that they can provide cake and cupcakes, table linens, some décor, a day of coordinator, a DJ, and a bartender that all have experience working together, we were sold!
From the start, Monica’s clear communication was a blessing. She gave us great advice and superb customer service. I can not imagine a better place to get married or a better team to work with.
Tina, the DOC, is wonderful. She fully embraced my laid-back approach to wedding planning and guided me through the important pieces that allowed the day to flow smoothly for everyone. Thanks to Tina, I was able to fully soak in every moment of our special day. If something didn’t go according to plan, I had no idea. She is a Rockstar.
Monica, the venue owner, is an angel. VMF is a well-oiled machine thanks to her phenomenal organization and attention to detail. I never had any questions about what was expected from my end, which is wonderful when you are planning a wedding and having to make so many decisions. Due to a rainy week, we had to make a decision on if we needed to change our ceremony location from down by the river to up at the deck the week of the wedding. Monica was so patient with us and was fully on board with our decision. We decided to roll the dice and have the ceremony by the river and it ended up being absolutely perfect. She also did our cut cake and cupcakes, and let me tell you, they far surpassed my expectations! Not only can she seamlessly run a venue, but she is also an ARTIST when it comes to sweets. I would 1000% recommend her to anyone in need to deserts for an event. Not having to worry about another vendor and transporting cake and cupcakes was a gift.
Troy, our DJ (VMF’s in house DJ) was absolutely amazing. He was the life of the party and gave us the reception of our dreams. He perfectly mixed up our music to get everyone on the dance floor. We had everyone from our grandparents to our little cousins moving and grooving!
We are so grateful for the VMF team. Because of their wonderful organization and teamwork, we were able to relax and enjoy being surrounded by everyone we love on our special day. Valley Mills Farm will forever have a special place in my heart. -

No better place or people!!!
There are no powerful enough words to explain how amazing this venue is! We were about to put a down payment on a venue closer to us (we are from Northern Virginia) until Valley Mills Farm showed up on my facebook. THANK GOD I didn't put a down payment on the other venue because VMF is more than worth the two hour drive! We did the Wedding Weekend Package adding DOC, 2 bartenders, and DJ with photobooth. We also had them set up and break down.
Tina, the DOC, is an angel sent to this earth! Our wedding was almost entirely DIY and Tina was so patient and kind. I am a very stressed out and particular person and she handled me so well I couldn't have done this without her.
Monica was absolutely amazing! She and Tina both took my vision and made it come to life! It was very windy on my wedding day and they did everything imaginable to try and make sure my dream wedding is what I got. We had to come up with a new plan for my aisle decor very close to the time of the ceremony and they made it happen perfectly! I could not have been happier! We asked Monica to do our cut cake, cupcakes, and macaroons. They were ABSOLUTELY amazing! I am a HUGE cupcake fan and Monica's cupcakes exceeded my expectations! If I didn't live so far away I would be getting desserts from her consistently!
Troy our DJ (VMF's in house DJ) was absolutely amazing! He took my crazy family in stride and made everything happen even with the curveballs thrown at him last minute. He definitely made sure people had some serious fun and they definitely did! We also did the add on of a monogram and it was amazing!
When we got back Sunday morning to pack the truck everything was packed and ready to go right by the door! It was so wonderful and made our lives so much easier! Definitely worth the extra money!
Valley Mills Farm is beautiful to begin with and even more beautiful with the vision I had coming to life! I honestly feel so lucky to have had the privilege of having our wedding with Monica and her team at Valley Mills Farm!
Only thing that was a problem was that I had to say goodbye to the venue and the team, they felt like my friends and family and I will miss them so much! -

Absolutely an incredible place to get married! The entire property was so beautiful, the deck was a beautiful spot to get married and the barn and fire pit were a huge hit! My husband and I are so happy we chose Valley Mills Farm for our wedding venue. The location was absolutely stunning in October, the owner Monica has excellent communication, and she was so helpful with any questions or requests we had leading up to the wedding. We loved the extra touches of having a fire going, the entertainment of the alpacas, and the package available with a bartender, DJ, and day of coordinator. We also loved having the venue available for set up and clean up on Friday/Sunday. Highly recommend this venue if looking in the Staunton area! -

Our wedding was nothing short of perfect! I only looked at this venue and I knew it was the one right away.
Monica was amazing and answered every little question I had (and I had a lot). The staff was all so helpful, so nice, and made everything go smoothly. (especially the DOC Tina, I couldn’t have done it without her)

Our micro wedding was held at Valley Mills Farm. From beginning to end the process was great and a pleasure to communicate with Monica. A major selling point for us was what was included in the package however, she provided great recommendations for other vendors not included, made the process much less stressful. I would recommend this venue in a heartbeat. We got everything we wanted and more by hosting our wedding here. Especially those looking for beautiful grounds, a rustic reception, and a smaller, more intimate experience. I also think its a great destination venue-- all of our guests loved staying in the nearby historic city of Staunton, everyone thought it was an adorable hidden gem. The micro-wedding package was an incredible value and made the planning experience so smooth that we were able to put everything together in just 2 months! Monica was fantastic-- kind, responsive, supportive, and easy to work with. Additionally, all the vendors she connected us with through the package (DJ, catering, hairstylist, photographer, and coordinator) were outstanding and a real pleasure to work with. I had the best day of my life thanks to the efforts of all of these wonderful people. -

Absolutely beautiful venue!! Comfortable and beautiful accommodations for the bridal party to dress and prepare for the event. The barn is beautiful and rustic but has the comforts of climate control, restrooms and kitchen facilities. Attention to every detail leaving no worries for the couple or families. Highly recommend the in-house DJ and Day of Coordinator. They all work together so well and making every thing flow seamlessly. It was the perfect venue for making lasting memories. -

Aaron and I had our wedding on July 31, 2021 at Valley Mills Farm. The week leading up the wedding we faced 90+ degree temps. However our wedding day was low 80s and with a breeze. The breeze was perfect with our ceremony by the river. We originally went from 100+ guest to about 50 to 43. Due to family/friends being concerned about the Corona Virus. Monica was understanding of those that did want to be spread out and helped us do that. The women got ready in the Bridal Suite which was nice and cool. The men got ready in the men’s cottage. We all waited in the men’s cottage after the first look for the ceremony. After the ceremony we had our reception in the Event Barn. Everyone had fun. Aaron and I were pretty much was worn out by then as we made and did everything for the wedding. From the decor to the food. We had originally planned to leave by 9 but most of our guests had 1+ hour drive back home and we all started leaving about 6. It was an intimate, small wedding but none the less everyone had fun and we will always remember where we said our “I do”. Aaron and I had chose this venue before the pandemic got too bad and I am glad we stuck with it. -

Valley Mills Farm was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding!!! Everywhere you looked there was another photo opportunity. The house was beautiful and had plenty of space for the bridal party to get ready. The Groom's cottage was the perfect place for the groom and groomsmen to kick back and enjoy their time together. The day of wedding coordinator was an excellent benefit. It is described as a day of coordinator but we were able to have multiple calls with Tina our coordinator prior to the wedding. She always brought something up that we had not thought of yet and created an itinerary. It was so nice to have someone to help keep things on schedule and just be able to enjoy our daughter and son-in-law's big day. We had originally planned the ceremony for down at the river but due to so much rain we ended up having it on the new deck right beside the barn. This spot was just as beautiful and is one of the many benefits of Valley Mills Farm with the flexibility. Monica, the owner, was extremely easy to work with, responsive to emails, and happily shared her expertise. I would highly recommend this venue and that was even before the owner found my wedding rings!! -

Great Venue with kind staff!
we had a great experience with Valley Mills Farm. Monica was very quick with responding to my 1 million questions. Was more than willing to change my date when we requested and made my wedding planning a lot less stressful. my favorite part about the service at valley mills is you can request they bartend for you which made it easy on everyone as well as they had parking attendants to help all our guest get where they needed to go! 10/10 recommend -

We could not have had a better wedding day thanks to Monica and her staff! If you are looking for professionalism, reassurance, quality, beauty, fun, and so much more, book with Valley Mills! My now husband and I visited the venue before the barn was built and decided to book because Monica made us feel like family from the second we stepped out of the car. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and Monica and her team played a HUGE part in helping make our big day flow perfectly! Monica’s business etiquitte and professionalism is what helped our daughter and now son-in-law want to book Valley Mills even though the wedding barn was not complete. They booked on Monica’s vision and it is absolutely a perfect place for a beautiful wedding! Her reassurance and calmness that everything would work out was such a Blessing! Monica is a true business professional and not once did we ever feel like she is only in it for the “business”, she along with us, wanted it to be a perfect day for all. We really enjoyed working with Monica and Valley Mills Farm. As the bride, I really appreciated that packages were offered which included food, dj, photo booth. I also love that there are a number of different decorations on site to help make the space extra special. We loved the ease in which our day flowed, and all of our guests had a great time! The venue itself is stunning, and everyone loved the resident alpacas. The location is in perfect proximity to Staunton. The Middle River adds a lovely touch. We would certainly work with Monica and Valley Mills again! -

I was married at Valley Mills Farm on June 10, 2023. Monica was so easy to work with. She thought of every detail and made our day go smoothly. The bridal rooms were beautiful and gave us plenty of room to get dressed, have our hair and makeup done. The groomsmen cabin worked fine. We got married at the river, which was away from the event barn, and Monica's coordination for guest parking at the barn was really helpful. She had a tractor pulled wagon to bring guests to the ceremony. The reception set up and clean up also worked like a well oiled machine. There are multiple wedding ceremony areas that allow for plan A and B to happen, weather permitting. I highly recommend this versatile wedding venue! -

Perfect small wedding
We booked Valley Mills Farm for their micro wedding package. It was perfect for the intimate wedding we wanted to have. Due to the weather, we had to move the ceremony inside, but everything still went off without a hitch (pun intended). We still had plenty of time to decorate and come wedding time, it was perfect. From the caterer, photographer, and florist that were included in the package were easy to work with and did a wonderful job. Our expectations were exceeded and we would recommend the venue to anyone needing a space for any size event. Thank you for making our event so special! -

Our Experience
Our wedding at Valley Mills Farm in the summer of 2022 was absolutely beautiful, perfect in so many ways, and the best day of our lives. We purchased a microwedding plus (48 guests) 1.5 years before our wedding date. The microwedding package included the necessary vendors and so much more for such an amazing and affordable cost in comparison to other venues. Our wedding was magical and we all had so much fun. Valley Mills Farm is gorgeous and I would highly recommend their venue. Monica was always so responsive to my many emails of worries and ideas. We had the best day of our lives and the wedding planning process went smoother than I ever could have imagined; none of that would have been possible without Monica, Valley Mills Farm, and the vendors. We have said multiple times since the wedding that it was the best day of our lives and we wish we could do it again.
However, we do wish that we would have taken more time to carefully select which package was right for us based on the allotted timeframes included and the vendors, instead of being eager to rush into the microwedding package because it was the more affordable option. I frequently stressed over the time allotted for decorating and cleanup in the microwedding package; strictly there is only one hour to decorate prior to the event and all items must be out of the venue within the allotted five hours for your event. Monica and the day of coordinator were helpful in reassuring me that it was feasible; which it was. They set up the tables, plates, linens, and chairs prior to your arrival which is so helpful. You and the individuals that you bring to decorate have to make your vision come to life within that one hour; the sweat and the stress! The five hour timeframe prevented us from being able to utilize the entire venue space for the ceremony and photographs. We chose not to have a ceremony by the river or take photographs by the river or in the main house because of the possibility that it would have taken too much time away from the reception. From this, photography options for the bride/groom and the bridal party were limited to in front of the barn, the fence/field that connects to the alpacas, the ceremony deck, and the wooded area on the backside of the barn; the shots did turn out beautiful but this is another reason I wish we would have purchased a larger package to ensure enough time for these important pieces that I had not considered before committing to a microwedding package. I loved our DJ- Event XTC, the day of coordinator- Tina Kincaid, and photographer- Jody Lynne Sipe; they were sweet and so accommodating, the photobooth and costumes were a hit, the music was a specific playlist that we provided, they made our choice of ceremony music work despite very specific begin and end points, and the photographs turned out wonderful. Monica did a great job on the cake/cupcakes and bartending for our event. Honeybee’s Florist did a great job on our long stem white rose theme; my bouquet of long stem roses, the four bridesmaid’s single long stem rose, my groom’s white rose boutonnière, and the floral white rose cake topper were gorgeous! We adjusted our flowers to ensure they stayed within the allotted amount with the microwedding package so that we did not have to spend extra. Our food vendor- Take Out 250 was the food option for our microwedding package. I looked at their menu online before committing to the contract with the venue to ensure I would enjoy their menu options because food was a very important part for the wedding planning process and I am very picky. We were disappointed to learn that the “fruit/veggie tray, salad, dinner roll, meat, and two sides” was a very limited selection and did not include the items that I looked forward to from their website. We were very disappointed with Take Out 250; the food was not very warm, the food was plain and we did not enjoy the taste, the options were minimal, the service was not as friendly as expected for a wedding, they did not provide dinner rolls as stated, and in hindsight, had we known their menu was so limited, we would not have moved forward with them as the vendor for food. Prior to signing our microwedding contract, we clarified in an email that we would be able to use floating flame candles because this had been my dream wedding decor and all that we planned to use in leu of flowers. The venue stated that we could use candles under specific guidelines despite it being written into the contract that candles were not permitted. However, a few months before the wedding, an email was sent from the venue due to an experience at the venue with candles that would prevent all couples from using candles to ensure the safety of guests and the venue due to them being a fire hazard. We understand and respect this, however, would encourage all future couples to ensure that if something is important to you, that it is clearly written into the contract before signing. The venue graciously offered to provide me with floating flameless candles, but we did not like the look of flameless candles and declined; though, appreciated their offer. Regardless, the changes that we had to make in decor turned out gorgeous. -
