Valerie was THE BEST! During both our engagement shoot and our wedding she let us have so much fun while guiding us and taking phenomenal photos. She was also super timely and communicative and flexible. We had to reschedule our engagement shoot due to weather and she was super accommodating. The pictures turned out AMAZING and we even had guests commenting on how great she was. Would 100% recommend! -

Valerie is the best!
We booked Valerie for our 10/4/2024 wedding and that was the best choice we could've made! Valerie makes you feel so comfortable and at ease, she is always making sure she is getting all the shots you want or need, and the photos turn out absolutely beautiful! We haven't gotten all of out pictures back, but the ones we have gotten have us super excited to see the rest! Book Valerie for your wedding, you won't regret it!! -

Photographer of my dreams
I cannot say enough amazing things about Valerie. Me and my now husband are not the biggest picture people and had never had professional photographs done before our engagement pictures, so i was really nervous. Valerie immediately takes all of those nerves away. She is so friendly and easy to talk to. She made us feel so comfortable and like she was an old friend. When she sent us the sneak peek of our wedding photos, I was absolutely blown away! They were better than I ever could’ve expected. She was such a joy to work with on our big day and made the process fun. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a down to earth and talented beyond measure photographer! -

Valerie was our photographer for our wedding in May and I couldn't recommend her more! She was absolutely incredible to work with and we truly had the best experience!
My now husband and I wouldn't say we are very comfortable in front of the camera, but Valerie made the whole experience so fun. She was constantly laughing and joking with us to get more candid shots. She was also so good at giving directions and telling us exactly what pose to do so we never felt awkward.
When she posted her "sneak peeks" I had at least 10 people reach out to me to tell me how stunning they were. I kept having to say we didn't do anything; it was all Valerie! You can see the love and excitement in each photo. She captured our day so perfectly and I will always be grateful!! -

Valerie is truly AMAZING! She takes time to get to know her couples, which shines through in the photos she captures on your wedding day. I usually don't love the way I look in photos, and I literally cannot pick my favorite because there are so many good ones. I am obsessed with the entire wedding album and our friends and family cannot stop talking about how wonderful every single shot turned out. We could not have asked for a more excellent wedding photographer and will cherish these photos forever. We hope to continue to use Valerie to capture moments in our lives for years to come! -

We love our photos so much - the entire gallery was so gorgeous that we are having such a hard time narrowing down to even 100 of our favorites! I am absolutely obsessed with her editing style, the candids she took, and the poses she recommended. I was so impressed she was able to capture some of the most special candid moments for us, and we have already received so many compliments on our photos. Valerie also did an excellent job providing direction when taking photos - she asked whether we favored our left or right sides, asked the guys to take the phones out of their back pockets, and took photos of the couples part of our wedding party. She really cared about everyone looking their best while still capturing the moment. I really could go on and on about our experience with Valerie - I was a little nervous because we didn't have an engagement session so we would have to establish rapport on the wedding day, but all my fears were quickly assuaged. I'm feeling like we received luxury photography services! -

Valerie was amazing for our wedding and engagement photos! The photos she took were absolutely gorgeous. We got our gallery back much faster than we expected. If you're looking for a wedding photographer, look no further!
When my husband and I first got engaged and started planning our wedding we knew we wanted to budget for a top notch photographer. Little did we know, we wound up with the best one money can buy!
We lucked into finding Valerie through an online contest and after reviewing her work, we knew our choice was made....and for half the price of some other potential options!
Throughout the entire process Valerie was extremely responsive, educated us on all that we needed to know, and most importantly delivered breath-taking photos from both our engagement shoot and the actual wedding day.
I could not recommend Valerie more highly! I will refer all of my friends and family to her for weddings, baby photo shoots and any other event that calls for a professional photographer. We knew that the photos from our wedding night would be a lasting memory and Valerie captured everything perfectly.
No matter what scale you use to measure the performance and value, Valerie exceeds the top score! -

Valerie and I clicked right away when we first met. I knew from the start she was going to be my wedding photographer! She is so sweet, easy to work with, great at posing couples, and so amazingly talented. My husband and I were blown away by our engagement photos, and I didn't think it was possible but I am even more blown away by our wedding photo sneak peeks! Valerie was a blessing to work with throughout the entire planning process. From helping us reschedule our engagement photos due to a winter windy weather advisory, to being so patient and understanding throughout planning during a pandemic, and being the absolute best on the big day! I can't say enough nice things about her and her work. I highly recommend her to everyone! -

Amazing pictures and fun to work with
From the first meeting, Valerie was so easy to work with. She takes the time to get to know you and really works with you to make your day feel special. She made sure that we got every shot that we wanted and her creativity and flexibility really shone on our big day. Her knowledge of the Sykesville/Westminster/Annapolis area was so appreciated as she knew exactly where to get some amazing and scenic photos. Both our engagement pictures and our wedding photos turned out amazing and everyone has loved the quality of the pictures. We could not have been happier to have chosen Valerie Michelle Photography as our photographer! I met Valerie at a wedding expo in Frederick, MD and LOVED her work and loved talking with her. After seeing her work, it wasn’t even a question that we wanted her for our big day. We choose her biggest package (longest hours of service and two photographers) and it was perfect. We had about 150 guests, we did a first look, family portraits and obviously bridal party portraits. The quality and service she provides far surpasses her package costs. She was super helpful, responsive, passionate and kind throughout the entire process. Valerie goes above and beyond the roles of a photographer on the wedding day. She coordinated with my venue and DJ to ensure we were on track in line with the timeline. She even helped me get ready! Having Valerie around, pretty much the entire day, felt like having a friend around with a camera. I don’t know how she did it, but she captured every moment perfectly. My family and I cannot stop gushing over the pictures! We got our online gallery to the pictures quickly and they are super easy to download.
She is the best! My husband and I plan on booking with Valerie many times in the future!

Valerie captured our day so beautifully
Valerie was great to work with from start to finish! Leading up to the wedding, she created a detailed timeline for day of which was super helpful when figuring out when to do the bridal party, first look, family, and couple pictures. During our wedding, Valerie kept everyone on track so we could fit all of the pictures we wanted in the time we had with her. She made us feel so comfortable and caught the best shots of us as a married couple (and with our dog)! She also got some awesome candids during the reception. We received a preview gallery from Valerie not even 2 days after the wedding and then the whole gallery a month later! Valerie is reasonably priced, very responsive, and her work is amazing! We highly recommend!! -

Valerie was such a pleasure to work with for my wedding! Besides her pictures being amazing, she is also so sweet and calming to be around. We enjoyed being with her during our engagement session and throughout our wedding day. She made my husband and I very comfortable as she took pictures and also kept everything organized and flowing so that we stayed on schedule. Valerie was easy to get in touch with and quick to respond to any questions I had throughout the process. She went above and beyond on our wedding day to help when she could, including helping some of our groomsman with their bootinears. My family and bridal party were all complimenting her as well. I felt like I had made a friend throughout our wedding planning process. I can’t say enough good things about her and would recommend her for any photography needs! -

Booking my wedding photographer was hand down one of the easiest decisions I made during the wedding planning process. In fact, I think she was the first vendor I booked after I got engaged! Valerie shot my friends wedding in June of 2017, and not only were the photos drop-dead gorgeous, but she was so easy to work with, and incredibly considerate of the bride and groom, as well as their guests! She's creative and goes out of her way to ensure that the experience she provides is customized for that specific couple. I will without a doubt be booking her for mini's whether it be for our anniversary, new born pictures or any other special occasion! If you've found or been referred to Valerie Michelle Photography, there is no need to look any further. :)
BTW - One question I'm sure every brides asks... "When will we have all of our photos??"! Valerie was sure to be realistic in her bust season of October that it may take 4-6 weeks, which was much sooner than I was expecting based on what I'd heard from other brides. I had access to all of my photos in LESS THAN 3 WEEKS! My husband and I still can't stop looking through them over and over, and we find a new gem every time we do that we'll cherish forever and ever. -

Where do I begin?? We LOVED every second of our experience with VMP! She went above and beyond every step of the way! From our engagement photos to our wedding photos everything was absolutely perfect. And she’s was very quick to respond to any questions we had or ideas! She was also able to get all of our photos to us in a very quick time frame! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect photographer on our special day! Not only are her pictures absolutely amazing and she captured every moment we could have imagined but she helped me make my timelines and any wedding questions I had!
