Urban Ecology Center - Riverside Park Reviews

Had our wedding here this past July. It was the most perfect venue. Ceremony outside in the arboretum, reception inside the beautiful building. We are still getting compliments on how beautiful and fun the venue was. MaryBeth runs weddings and events and such and she is a gift from the heavens when it comes to event planning! We had to postpone our event (was supposed to be in 2020) and she helped us handle everything including navigating all the new safety recommendations. 10/10 would recommend everyone get married here. Or just visit - beautiful hiking trails and a fun building (with an animal room!) right downtown is such a treat.

We are so happy we held our reception at the UEC. Mary Beth and all the UEC staff were so helpful in preparing for our big day. They are very transparent with pricing so you know exactly what you’re getting. Bringing in our own food and beverage was a huge plus. What a gorgeous venue!

Urban Ecology Center was a great choice for our big day.

They offer the perfect balance of budget and service. It was well priced, but also came with venue services that so many other economical choices don't have. We were able to choose our own caterer, they have a kitchen and dishes to use. We were able to bring certain items in advance. They have the capacity for screens, a bar, an area perfect for buffet, etc. So you have a lot of flexibility as you select vendors, yet the venue still provides staff to flip the room between ceremony and reception and offer other help.

There are tons of great places at the venue for pictures, so I know we'll have a lot of different "looks" even though they were all on the premises!

All our guests loved the venue. It has a lot to offer. There's so much natural wood that we didn't need to do much decorating. My now-husband and I both like sustainability and nature, so this also really complimented our personalities, which a lot of guests commented on as well. I love the concept of getting married at a location that we can go back to over the years, and this venue definitely fits that bill, with free wifi and coffee and tons of community events and programs.

UEC is fabulous. Our guests were amazed at the beauty of the space. Children played all night on the slides and in the playroom. The tower overlooking the city, the wildflowers, the wood dance floor, the fresh air - need I say more?! Paradise!

We had a phenomenal wedding at the Urban Ecology Center. It was a beautiful setting and Mike Larson is great to work with. Be prepared to hire your friends and relatives to help, however, as the change from nature center to reception area is fast and furious and there are only two members there to help. Overall, we couldn't have been more pleased with it, however.

We booked our 2016 wedding with the UEC and I'm thrilled. It's a great venue offering a wonderful sustainable space. Check it out!
