  Marie was AMAZING. Did above and beyond what I expected of her. I hired her as a day of coordinator, but she did so much more. Very professional and very sweet also!
  
  My best piece of advice, even for those DIY brides, is to hire Marie for at least day of coordinating so you can relax and enjoy your day. Thanks Marie!

  We used Marie for our destination wedding to Playa Del Carmen and she was amazing. We hardly had to do anything, she made it so easy and relaxing for us. We highly recommend her to help plan your wedding. Every detail was perfect, she always got back to us right away, always had answers for our questions and made sure our friends and family were taken care of. Marie is an amazing person, very kind and thoughtful and we hope to keep in touch with her for years to come.

  I thought having an out of state across the country 18th birthday bash for my son would be impossible..Uptown weddings and events created such an over the top atmosphere and event my son will never forget..With all the planning that had to be done , all we had to do was walk of the plane and drive to the party..What a stress free evening....Everyone raved at how organized everting was

  Marie was the wedding planner and coordinator for our wedding on October 17th, 2009. Her help was invaluable, especially since we were planning an out-of-town wedding.
  
  Marie suggested some great local vendors, arranged meetings with them, took care of all communications, made sure all our questions were answered, ran errands for us and provided support all along the way.
  
  I am very particular about what I want, and Marie was great at listening to my requests and making sure they were accommodated. She also had several great suggestions about the decorations, floral arrangements, etc. - that really made a big difference in the end. For example, we were hesitant at first about using a DJ, since we didn't want someone to take over the reception. But Marie assured us that having a DJ would make the reception a lot more fun, and that she will be able to find one to suit our needs. And she was right. Now we're happy that we hired one.
  
  Above all, I think the main thing is how Marie handled all the challenges. When we had too much reception space for the amount of guests, she had an idea how to make the space work and be more intimate. The place did look fantastic in the end! When we decided at our rehearsal that we do want a limo, she was able to make that last-minute arrangement. When we were running late the day of the wedding, and vendors were getting lost, Marie was on top of everything, and made sure everything went according to plan.
  
  Marie was also very pleasant to deal with, personable, and supportive. I highly recommend her services!

  When I became engaged on my birthday, it was one of the happiest moments of my life. We set the date to get married 8 months after that. I knew basically what I wanted and that the evening had to have an feeling of elegance. However I had no idea where to begin. Finding Marie at Uptown Weddings and Events was the smartest move to make before planning any aspect of my wedding. Her insight and knowledge made the stress melt away and I could enjoy this time instead of pulling my hair. Marie is fun and easy to work with and she always had my interest and budget in mind when moving forward with any plans. I would recommend her services to anyone who wants experience the joy of having a stress free wedding and reception.

  My wedding took place on February 23, 2008. Marie was very helpful and knowledgable with taking the ideas I had for the ceremony and reception and put them into place. Everything came out exactly the way I wanted. I also had a last minute mishap with my bouquet and she had the resources to get it corrected just in time! I highly recommend using Marie for all your event planning needs.

  Marie is AMAZING. She organized a Bridal Event in my store. It was a huge success. Marie works with some great vendors. To all you brides out there I would highly recommend using Uptown Weddings and Events. She will be planning my daughters wedding when that time comes. Give Marie a call... you will not be sorry.
