Where to begin! From the first email exchange to the trial, to the day of, to all the messages after the wedding, I couldn't feel more grateful to have worked with Upstyle -- Jess for Makeup and Lindsay for hair (also shoutout to Angelina who did my trial hair -- she was amazing too!!). Not only did they take my vision for my hair/makeup and make it 1000000x better than I could have even imagined, but they were so kind, fun, and kept us calm and happy on the day of. Couldn't recommend Upstyle & this incredible team of women more!!! -

I can’t thank the team at Upstyle enough for the amazing job they did on my hair and makeup for my wedding day! From start to finish, Abbie and Savannah were professional, warm, and incredibly talented. They created exactly the look I was hoping for. I still felt like myself, just the best version! Both the hair and makeup photographed beautifully and lasted all day and night. My bridal party also looked stunning and couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful and confident they felt. I couldn’t recommend Upstyle enough! -

Highly Recommend!
Upstyle is a must for your wedding! Jess, Shannon, Jessie, and Tori did such an incredible job with myself, my bridesmaids, our moms, and even my grandma. The girls are all so sweet and easy to talk to. They also have an amazing talent for enhancing your natural beauty while still making you look like yourself. We had a variety of hair types in our group, and the stylists easily made everyone’s vision come to life. Best of all, our makeup didn’t smudge, and our hair stayed in place despite the mid-August heat and humidity! I could not recommend them more! -

I had a wedding this fall and chose Upstyle for my hair and makeup team! I could not have been happier with my decision. The hair/makeup artists we worked with were absolutely amazing! Abbie, Hannah, Savannah, and Autumn did a wonderful job! All of my bridesmaids, and including myself, loved our looks and felt beautiful! The girls who worked with us were so kind and personable which made the experience that much better! I had a large bridal party, and Upstyle (as well as the stylists) were very accommodating in time management and planning the day. It went as smooth as possible with 15+ girls getting ready! haha. I appreciate all their hard work and their patience with us.
The management team was also amazing! Lily always answered emails quickly. Brittany quickly got on a phone call with me when I was looking to book and she answered all of my questions! They were one of the quickest and most efficient hair/makeup company I spoke with, as far as communication goes! I had a great experience with Upstyle and would definitely recommend them! :) Thank you all! -

I reached out to Upstyle days before my wedding after my makeup artist cancelled. After dealing with my previous makeup artist, who didn’t respond for weeks at a time, and was incredibly disorganized, working with Upstyle was a breath of fresh air. Within 24 hours of reaching out, I had a new makeup artist, contract and a schedule arrived shortly after. Their contracting and organization is so clear and organized - you can tell they are pros!
I was lucky enough to work with Savannah on the day of my wedding and I can’t rave about her enough. Since we had never done a trial I was a little nervous going in, but she totally got my vision. She worked with me and made sure I loved how everyone’s makeup turned out and was so open to any feedback. I had loved my trial makeup and was a little nervous I wouldn’t like my day of makeup as much, but Savannah’s look was actually ten times better. I felt so beautiful! Not to mention, she is so kind and fun to be around, it felt like we were friends. The makeup lasted phenomenally and I hardly needed my touch up kit.
If you’re looking for a makeup artist, I can’t recommend Savannah and Upstyle enough. They are the best of the best. -

I worked with Lindsay and Danielle for my July 2024 wedding, and they were absolutely incredible! Not only did they do an amazing job with all the girls’ hair, but they were also a joy to chat with throughout the day. I’ve never seen an entire room of girls so happy with their hair at a wedding, and I have Lindsay and Danielle to thank for that. They were so much fun, and as the bride, they truly helped calm my nerves and made the whole day a wonderful experience for me and the girls. I felt so elevated with my wedding slicked-back bun hairstyle that Lindsay created—it was exactly what I had envisioned. Lindsay also went above and beyond, being extremely attentive to my hair and ensuring it stayed sleek and unaffected by the weather throughout the day. My second hairstyle Lindsay did also turned out fantastic! The girls can’t stop raving about how much we loved the Upstyle team—they were such a joy to work with and Lindsay and Danielle are exceptionally talented and special people. Additionally, Brittany, Jessica and team were extremely organized and helpful with all the coordination leading up to the event and made the process so seamless. I highly recommend Upstyle to any future brides—you won’t regret it! -

The makeup look I wanted: natural, fresh, rosy, subtle, well-rested. That's exactly what I got. They really nailed it, I felt so beautiful and the makeup stayed put all night. My bridesmaids also kept commenting that they really loved how they looked - they weren't overdone and every person shined in her own natural way! My mom was a little nervous about having her makeup done (would it be too heavy, etc) and she looked awesome. The Upstyle team is also just so friendly and easy to work with. You will be so happy if you hire them! Do it! -

Jess and Sophie of Upstyle were truly SO incredible to work with for my wedding. They were prompt, professional, easy-going, and just all-around fantastic. They really listened to us and brought the most zen, chill vibes, putting everyone at ease immediately! All 8 of us LOVED both our hair and makeup and we cannot recommend them highly enough! One of my friends said that she had literally never seen me look prettier and it was 100% all thanks to Jess and Sophie! 12/10 experience!! I hired Mikayla for makeup + Jesse for hair. Upstyle's entire team of stylists/artists are SO talented, professional and kind. At my trial, they asked about allergies, how I want to feel on my wedding day and they nailed my look on the first try -- I can't get over how thorough yet efficient they are! Day-of, they were on time, ahead of schedule, professional, warm and accommodating. Almost half of your big day is getting ready, so having the right crew with you is so important -- Upstyle is it!! They made me, my mom and my girls feel so glamorous and taken care of. I can't thank them enough for making me feel so beautiful and special! -

When I was considering the look I was hoping to achieve for my wedding, which took place last October on a farm in Litchfield County, I wanted a romantic and intentionally undone look. If you are looking for the same aesthetic, Upstyle perfects this type of bridal styling. Both the owners, Jessica and Brittany, and the hair stylist and MUA we worked with, Rebecca and Sammie, were wonderful to work with – they listened to me, my mother and mother-in-law, and my bridesmaids, about what they wanted their hair and makeup to look like and flawlessly made our visions a reality. Everyone I worked with was warm, lovely, easy to work with and happy to answer questions throughout the process. Sammie and Rebecca in particular helped make the morning of my wedding day a fun, relaxing environment – they are both incredibly sweet and enthusiastic about working with bridal parties, not to mention incredibly talented. They made all of the women they worked with feel special and beautiful. Everyone thought we all looked stunning. I would absolutely recommend Upstyle to every bride. These girls are the real deal. Professional, kind, genuine, funny, and relaxed — the exact vibes you want on your wedding day when there are so many variables at play. I never once worried about them being on time, or whether or not I would like my look. I wanted whimsical, boho, classic, effortless, and elegant — and they delivered that and so much more! I sent the Upstyle gals a few inspiration photos that described the overall look and feeling of my wedding day before the trial and they immediately nailed my vision in one try. Even more importantly, they helped make my “getting ready” process so relaxing and enjoyable. We listened to chill music, took deep breaths, and I felt so grounded, present, and had so much fun getting ready with these gals by my side. As someone who is easily prone to anxiety, you couldn’t ask for a more relaxed and genuine crew to pamper you on your big day. My mother had never had her hair and makeup professionally styled, and the Upstyle girls took their time to ensure she was comfortable and completely happy with her look. She looked absolutely radiant and so young and beautiful and is so happy with the photos.
One of my favorite moments was the first look with my husband. Like many guys, he prefers a simpler look with little to no makeup and was worried that I might not look like myself on our big day. The moment he saw me he said with a big smile on his face, “You look like YOU.” We both visibly relaxed and our photos came out better than I ever could have imagined.
I can’t thank Britt & Jess enough for their love, care, and talent. They have my highest recommendation and full confidence to deliver the wedding look & vibe of your dreams. -

I knew from the moment I started following Jess and Brittany on Instagram that I wanted them to be apart of my wedding someday. So I was thrilled when that became a reality this last October! The two of them traveled all the way to Aruba to prep me and my girls on my wedding day. Aside from nailing the exact look I was going for- they also made the rest of my bridesmaids (and my mom) feel and look gorgeous! Aside from being extremely talented, they are also so fun to be around and got along with all of us so well! It felt like I had two extra friends hanging out with us for the day. I can’t say enough good things about the work they do. Planning a destination wedding can be very nerve racking since most of the planning is done from afar, but booking Upstyle to come along was one of the easiest decisions I made! -

For my wedding I was looking for natural, effortless makeup and found that in Upstyle! I don’t go heavy with my makeup normally, and wanted to be sure I still looked like myself still on my wedding day. Analisa was absolutely amazing and delivered the perfect look. She remembered everything we discussed at my trial so everything was just right and it lasted all night. Not all of my girls like their makeup just like I do, and Analisa was able to tailor each girl’s look.
Analisa (and the broader team) were very professional, but also super down-to-earth and fit right in with my crew on the wedding day. Overall I had a great experience! -

I worked with Upstyle for my wedding this past August and had a 10/10 experience. From the planning process, trial, to day of, they are very professional and responsive. I worked with Lindsay - she is SO sweet and really wants to understand your style and exactly what you're going for. I wanted a non-bridal, more natural look and she styled my hair perfectly. I've never had my hair done before and thought - that's exactly what I wanted. I had a 1pm ceremony and my hair lasted all day and night. They are a really fun group of women to work with and a very refreshing vendor in the wedding industry! -

I cannot recommend the ladies of Upstyle enough! I did a hair trial two months before my wedding, and was blown away by how great I felt, especially being someone who doesn't typically wear a lot of makeup. Jess and Lindsay were absolute pros the day-of, showing up early and immediately making me and my girls (bridesmaids, sister-in-laws, flower girls) feel so taken care of! Everyone's hair and makeup held throughout the afternoon and night, which is especially impressive given that our outdoor cocktail hour was very windy! I love these girls, and hope to be able to work with them again in the future! -

Amazing! You want UpStyle for your wedding!
Brittany was my hair stylist for my wedding and I could not have been happier! I have had my hair professionally done many times as a bridesmaid and I was honestly never comfortable with any of the results so I was very nervous going into finding a hair stylist for my own big day. My hair is curly, wavy, straight, fine, and abundant all at once. I knew I wanted something sophisticated but soft and airy, that would last through August heat, the nighttime breeze, and plenty of dancing without looking like it had been cemented in place. Brittany listened to all of my concerns and aspirations at the trial, which she then perfected on the day of. With her talent she also brings an effervescent personality and a really killer music list. I loved my hair for every minute that it was styled (which was over 16 hours)! I will recommend Brittany and UpStyle to every bride-to-be I meet for the rest of my life! -

The best in CT
Thank you, thank you, thank you to Upstyle and their AMAZINGLY talented team for making not only me, but my entire bridal party feel absolutely beautiful on my wedding day. I was one of the last of my friends to get married and after some bad experiences with over teased, stiff hair I made sure to do my research when picking my hair and makeup team. I looked at several different places in CT and when I saw their work on Instagram I knew I had found my team. I worked with Rebecca & Rebecca for my wedding day. Not only were they kind and patient but they were so so so talented. Everyone absolutely loved their hair (how often does the happen?? There is always 1!) Rebecca Hair accomplished the soft, flowy, tousled look which gave us natural, effortless looking hair that lasted the entire night without the excessive teasing and hairspray. Seriously- it looked like hair you’d see in a professional bridal magazine. Rebecca Makeup made us runway ready (literally because she used to do makeup for runway models in NYC) while making sure we still looked natural (none of that gaudy- overdone wedding makeup). Thank you so much for making my day fun and stress free and being the best team ever. I wish I could hire you to get me ready everyday! There is no doubt this is the best hair and make up team in CT. -

Amazing vibes + incredible talent!
Lindsay (hair) + Rebecca (makeup) were absolutely incredible! These girls not only have TALENT, but they are the sweetest ever! Hair/Makeup is the FIRST vendor that I saw on the day of my wedding, and they 100% set the tone for the day. Lindsay and Rebecca became FAST friends of mine, and of all of my bridesmaids. Each of my girls also left their chairs feeling gorgeous! As a former bridesmaid, I know that that is NOT the norm.
As a bride, these girls created a look for me that was elegant and timeless! Rebecca is an expert at highlighting your natural features and giving your skin a dewy glow. Lindsay is a hair savant and combined two hairstyles that I shared with her to create the perfect updo. My hair/makeup lasted all day and night, and most importantly, I looked like myself! I am so glad that the ladies of Upstyle shared their talent and friendship with me! Do NOT hesitate to book Upstyle! -

What can I say about the Upstyle ladies--we are so lucky to have found them. They are so sweet and down-to-earth, very easy to be around, you will want to be their friend after working with them! My mom and I did a trial and were both so happy with how they made us look. I felt so pretty but also so natural, not at all stiff the way I sometimes do when getting my hair and makeup done. They were super receptive throughout the whole process to our preferences regarding hair and makeup and the looks we had envisioned, while helping us to enhance them with their expertise. We ended up booking them for a pre-wedding church ceremony a few months earlier that we had planned to do our own hair and makeup for--after our trial, we could not imagine doing it without them! Then on wedding day they were so great to have around. My whole bridal party loved them, they have such a calming energy. One friend who never likes getting her makeup done ended up deciding to do it once she saw how beautiful and natural everyone else was coming out. They are the queens of gorgeous waves but can do just about any style you envision. I loved working with these ladies and wholeheartedly recommend them for your wedding!!! -

Upstyle was a dream to work with--and even better on the day of the wedding! We realized about a month before that we would have to get hair and makeup started at 6am for a 5pm ceremony, and Upstyle helped us by adding 2 more stylists so we could start at a more reasonable 10:30am. This was appreciated by everyone :)
On the day of, everyone looked just beautiful. More importantly, they looked like the best versions of themselves. This team set the mood perfectly, and it was the calmest, chillest prep session I've been to.
I now want to invest more in updos because of my experience with them :) -

I was blown away by Upstyle’s work for my June 2019 wedding. Brittany and Jess were so lovely to work with from start to finish and had such an easygoing, fun vibe on the wedding day. My bridal party looked absolutely stunning and I personally have never felt more beautiful in my life thanks to them! Jessica especially was very patient with me as I tried to fine-tune my makeup look for the day, and even did a second trial with me and let me bring my own products to use. I cannot recommend them highly enough and I’m so glad we chose them for our wedding! -

Working with Jessica and Brittany at Upstyle was such a wonderful experience, from the first communications to the hair and makeup trial at their super cool previous studio (though I’m a little jealous I never got to experience their stunning new place!) to the day of the wedding! I fell in love with their style and artistic vision online, and was so pleased to have our in person experiences only exceed expectations! Brittany and Jessica are both such sweet, personable stylists with an insane amount of talent between the two of them, and made me (and my MOH sister) feel so comfortable immediately upon arrival at our trial. I felt comfortable explaining what I was looking for, and really felt like they understood and listened to me and my semi-unclear attempts at a vision.
Fast forward to the day of the wedding, where they set up at a house full of girls running around and powered through all the bridesmaids and myself. While I feel that their style aligns directly with my own, they listened to each girl explain what they wanted, and found the perfect way to combine my wedding style with each girl’s personal taste. Everyone looked stunning, unique, and were so happy with their final looks! Jessica and Brittany were also so laid back and flexible, working within a slightly chaotic house and with our videographer and photographer coming in and out. It genuinely felt like we were hanging out with friends, and they made us feel so comfortable!
As for the styling itself, I’m absolutely obsessed with how all of us looked on the day of the wedding, and how well our hair and makeup withstood a long evening (including a choreographed high energy dance number!). We would absolutely recommend checking out Upstyle if you are looking for a truly wonderful hair and makeup experience! -

Brittany, Rebecca and Chelsea joined us for my wedding on 6/30/18 and took on the task of doing hair and makeup for 7 rowdy bridesmaids, my mom, 3 flower girls and myself. Not only did they make everyone look absolutely stunning, but we all felt like US - which was so important to me. When I first met Brittany and Rebecca at my trial, I was blown away by how nice, down to earth and talented they both were. My hair came out exactly how I had envisioned and for someone who doesn't wear a lot of makeup, I came away from my trial wanting to wear it every day! It is so nice to not have to worry about what you are going to look like the day of your wedding because I knew I would be in the best hands. The week leading up to the wedding Jessica was super helpful with creating an easy timeline and the day went so smooth! We spent 4+ hours with the Upstyle girls in our bridal suite singing, dancing, chatting and having a blast. My mom (who can be difficult) fell in love with her hair and false eyelashes and I think she has never looked better. My bridesmaids said the laid back vibe the UpStyle team brought made them feel so comfortable and happy. And my day of hair and makeup was spot on! I was so happy with my look and my husband says I looked beautiful but still like me. Again SO important to me. I used them for my wedding on 5/27/18 for hair and makeup for myself, my 4 bridesmaids and my mother. Everyone was thrilled with the look these ladies created for each of them. We all received compliments throughout the night about our gorgeous hair and makeup, and how well it held up throughout the evening! Everyone looked beautiful, natural and confident with Brittany and Jessica’s talented hands.
Brittany and Jessica were incredibly professional, organized and extremely patient throughout the whole process- they were incredibly understanding with my absentee bride habit due to school out of state. I did my hair/makeup trial a few months before the wedding and they spent as long as necessary to help me create the perfect look for the wedding day. Wedding planning can be a very stressful time, but every interaction with them put me at ease and made me excited for the big day because I knew I had chosen the best team. I cannot gush enough about how fantastic the Upstyle team is and HIGHLY recommend them for future brides. The Upstyle team made my girls and I look fabulous for my industrial boho June 11 wedding and were a true blast to hang with too. The best part as a Type A bride was how working with them completely put my mind at ease - not only did they completely get the look and feel I was going for and nailed my trial, but the day of the wedding they arrived on time (7:30 AM!), provided a Hair+MU schedule, and accommodated all of our personal requests/tastes beautifully while still executing my overall style vision for my beautiful bridesmaids. I couldn't have been happier with the final results and the magic they worked on all kinds of skin and hair types. They also have an arsenal of some of my favorite high end hair and makeup products and work wonders with air brushing (an absolute must for all you brides!). Humidity, rain showers, dancing the night away, tears because you and your FH wrote your own vows? 12 hours - My makeup Did. Not. Budge. At the same time, not once did I feel like I had stage makeup on. Thank you Upstyle team for making me not only look beauitul but feel beautiful on my wedding day inside and out <3 -

Kellie Sent on 07/18/2016These girls are amazing! Jess and Brittany did an excellent job with my hair and makeup as well as my bridesmaids' hair and makeup. They really listened to us and what we wanted. I don't usually wear makeup, actually hate how makeup looks on me sometimes...but Jess did an AMAZING job. We went very natural for the makeup trial, which I loved, but on my wedding day I decided to take a chance and change up my makeup style and Jess nailed it. I liked it even better than my makeup trial! Brittany also did such an awesome job with all of our hair. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my hair around my face so Britt tried different things and She made sure I really loved it before leaving. They are so professional and just great girls. I wish I can have them do my hair and makeup everyday :) -

I had Katia and Lindsay do makeup and hair on my wedding day! They were AMAZING! I wanted to feel like an elevated version of myself and they absolutely did that. During my trial they asked about the vision I was going for, looked at inspo pictures I brought in and then knocked it out of the park. On my wedding day they both looked back at my trial pictures and noticed a few details in pictures they thought would enhance my look. I'm so thankful for this duo of kind, professional, and talented ladies! -

I couldn't have been more happy with the Upstyle team and how beautiful they made all the girls feel on our wedding day. They brought everyone's vision to life, and kept everyone looking naturally beautiful which I love about what this team brings to the table. Everyone was so genuine and it was such a fun morning. Lindsay & Rebecca took care of me like I was one of their own. It was amazing. Hands down would recommend these girls to anyone getting married. -

They really take your feedback & your vision of your look into consideration & work with you until you're satisfied. My mother-in-law doesn't really use make up. On my wedding day, she just looked like her best self--not some woman we didn't recognize. They were also very flexible with our schedules the morning of the wedding. I'd highly recommend them. -

I worked with Upstyle Hair and Makeup for my wedding and couldn’t have been happier! Danielle did my hair and Savannah did my makeup — both were absolutely wonderful to work with. I wanted a more natural look, and they totally nailed it. I felt like myself, just a more elevated and polished version.
Danielle was especially great — calm, creative, and flexible. On the day of the wedding, we decided to tweak my hairstyle slightly from the trial, and she made it even better than I imagined. Savannah’s makeup was flawless and held up beautifully all night without ever feeling heavy.
