We were at a loss for who to officiate our wedding but found Ken through our venue and checked out reviews on Wedding Wire. After our initial meeting, we thought he seemed like a good fit and decided to move forward. Ken was a consummate professional and made the entire process seamless, from finding the right service for us to customizing it to our needs. He also saved the day when I realized at the 11th hour that I didn't have our marriage license and very calmly told me exactly what I needed to do and when. He did a beautiful job with the ceremony and even injected a little humor, which was a perfect fit for our personalities and a fun surprise for our guests, who absolutely loved it! He takes care of everything and even follows up with a resource email on how to begin the name change process, request a certified copy of the license, etc. With Ken as our officiant, we knew we were in good hands and that we had one less thing to worry about, which is all a bride ever really wants :) I cannot recommend him enough!

Ken was an absolutely amazing officiant!!! We couldn’t ask for better. He sent a wedding script to us that we reviewed and tweaked if needed prior to our wedding; was beyond helpful in obtaining our marriage license (step by step instructions); and all other necessary info we needed before & after our big day. He took care of mailing our licenses to the court house the next day. Ken made our day so perfect, the ceremony was beautiful & so personal. He included so many details & made sure we had a fun time. 10/10 would recommend everyone!!!

Ken went above and beyond! He talked us through the whole process at the rehearsal and the day of the wedding. He made sure all of our questions were answered. At the end of the ceremony Ken stepped to the side without us asking when we did our kiss, which allowed us to get an amazing photo of just the two of us. Our forever Bob!
Bob kept us grounded during our entire ceremony. He was truly the gravity for our experience with getting married. The groom was running behind, but Bob kept assuring me that it was okay and this was my only wedding. He was very calm during the entire process. I wouldn’t have had it any other way! The BEST Officiant!
Ken is fantastic! He took the time to get to know us and what we were looking for on our special day. He was able to create a ceremony that was both emotional and humorous, which is a difficult balance to strike. Many of our guests said that our ceremony was one of their favorites they have attended! Everyone loved that the ceremony was really about us, our story, and the anecdotes Ken shared were absolutely perfect. A lot of people said that they never get emotional during ceremonies, but they did during ours, which is high praise!!!
Outside of that, Ken was also extremely flexible with us and accommodated a date change when we had to move everything up 3 months! Ken was a joy to work with, and we are grateful he was able to officiate our wedding!

We love Ken!
Ken was an incredible officiant. Although we had only met once over Zoom prior to the ceremony, it felt as if we had known him for a long time! As someone who never had a specific pastor or anyone in mind to officiate, finding Ken was perfect! He personalizes the ceremony to fit your preferences and is very flexible. If you need an officiant, look no further
I contacted Upstate Wedding Officiants on a recommendation from a family member. Ken reached out very quickly and was always extremely responsive. Ken was already booked for our day, but he recommended his associate Felix. We quickly decided after getting to know Ken, that we trusted his opinions and booked with Felix. We met Felix for the first time at our rehearsal dinner (although Ken had offered to set us up with a video conference, I felt so confident with the situation that I felt that was unnecessary). Felix immediately made us feel comfortable and supported. As soon as we met, it was like he had known us for years, like we were part of his family. At the rehearsal, he worked seamlessly with my planner to get all the details straightened out. On the big day, he hung out with my husband before the ceremony and shared words of wisdom and comfort which alleviated my husbands nerves completely. He kept our friends and families entertained and held their attention. I could go on and on about him. We can’t even imagine what our day would have been like without him, and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone else looking for an officiant.

Amazing! So receptive
Ken did such a great job with our wedding! Not only did he jive well with my husband's and my different levels of spiritualty/ religious preferences, he performed such a beautiful ceremony! One of my coworkers even asked me at the reception how many years I had known Ken! Even though it had only been a few weeks, Ken had listened to what we wanted so well that she assumed we had known him for years. Perfect Officiant for any Ceremony
Ken was above and beyond great. We had a multi-cultural (Christian and Indian) wedding and Ken was able to capture the moment to perfection. So much fun
Getting to know Ken has been one of the best parts of our wedding process. He took so much guess work out of it, saved us a huge amount of time googling and he is just so fun. That is very important because it is sometimes easy to forget to have fun :) The script he wrote for us is filled with sincere moments, well timed humor and a heart felt moment for my dad who passed away. He did this by one video chat a few emails back and forth, but it feels like he’s known us for years. Highly recommend!

Ken was the perfect officiant for our ceremony! He helped us throughout the entire process leading up to the wedding, obtaining our marriage license, creating our script, etc. He checked in regularly leading up to the wedding making sure everything was ready. Extra meritorious ceremony with unparalleled service
My now husband had decided to search for an officiant online, as our church had not yet announced our engagement, and my husband decided a surprise elopement would be romantic for the weekend after Valentine’s Day. One morning, he came over and told me to put on a dress, so we could go meet Pastor Ken Bowers. From the moment we arrived at the beautiful park and met him, he had a subtle and nonchalant way of making us comfortable and completely at ease. Unbeknownst to us, he had prepared an absolutely remarkable ceremonial articulation, rooted entirely in the Bible and reminiscent of the one man, one woman teaching we had been raised to observe. In any traditional wedding, I had always noticed the officiant would traditionally say something about the bride and groom that would demonstrate the extent of his familiarity with them. As we had never met him before our wedding day, this aspect of the ceremony was impossible, yet also favorable. A wedding should be much less about the two individuals’ compatibility and personalities, and much more about the Creator who made love possible by sending Himself to sacrifice on their behalf. The speech was more dazzling than any poetic utterance I had ever heard, a powerful reminder that to God goes ALL the glory for everything constant, good and beautiful; that we can only love because He loved us first. Love is impossible to celebrate without understanding that our perfect God not only teaches us love, but that He is love. I would not have changed a thing about the ceremony, for it was entirely based on glorifying Jesus, and the flawless love He has for His bride.

Ken also checked on our venue and was on top of everything. He checked in quite a bit to make sure we remembered our marriage certificate and to bring it to our rehearsal. Our original officiant had family issues arise and referred this company / Ken to me. I was hesitant at first. Especially, so close to our wedding date. Ken was very fast at getting our info and even called to discuss how the ceremony process would go. That was a HUGE help! Felix was the one who married us, though. He made my wedding an absolute dream. He helped with every step of the marriage journey and topped it off with the most beautiful ceremony script.
He was very professional, helpful, patient, and poetic. A genuinely nice guy. He made my wedding so special. He will also go out of his way to help you as much as possible. I would highly recommend!

Wonderful Officiant
Ken had amazing communication and was very thorough to help me create the ceremony of my dreams. He stayed in close contact over several months of me planning my wedding and was very accommodating even the day of. Thank you for everything Ken!

Excellent Experience
We cannot recommend Ken and his team enough! Ken was outstanding to work with, and Felix, who officiated our ceremony, was amazing as well. Ken was responsive and supportive through the booking, obtaining the marriage license, the ceremony, and even after the ceremony. He directly assisted us with the entire process. We were pleasantly surprised—and so grateful!—for the amount of support he provided us.
Felix was our officiant, and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer, warmer, and more enthusiastic officiant. He added so much to our ceremony, and we are so thankful he could be there! In addition, the script was beautiful.
We were intimidated by booking a wedding officiant because of how big of a role they play in the ceremony. We are so thankful we went with Upstate Wedding Officiants. We truly cannot recommend Ken and Felix enough!

Perfect choice! Soothing demeanor & so courteous
We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant for our ceremony.
Our guests teared from the words spoken.
Our wedding was a challenging one as the weather decided to be dreadful. However, Ken was so calm and offered great ideas and allowed us to decide how to proceed he really was smiling and delivered a beautiful ceremony despite all the chaos surrounding us. He also very flexible and responsive from the start of our communications through to the day of. Thank you so much for making our day so special. We had added a special portion for honoring my grandparents which he was fully supportive of. He has plenty of pre-written options to select from as well as fully customizable options as well.

The absolute Best!
Ken made our day incredibly special! We communicated with him multiple times before the big day, each time he was very professional and accommodating to our desires for our day. He met us the day before our wedding at the rehearsal dinner and truly set our hearts at ease that he had all things officiant under control. He answered all our questions and truly helped calm our nerves before the ceremony. He worked seamlessly with other vendors and during the ceremony he delivered our story and vows flawlessly! We received many compliments about how he made the ceremony about us.
I would HIGHLY recommend Ken to anyone looking for an officiant.

Amazing!
Exceptional service!!!! We had a very small intimate ceremony, and he treated it like it was still top priority to him . He responded extremely fast and answered all our questions! The most wonderful officiant you could ask for!
Ken is incredibly professional and thoughtful. He wanted to get to know us from the start. Working with him was an amazing experience. He shared the wedding script with us after he created the initial draft and was happy to work with us if we had any recommendations. I couldn’t imagine anyone else being our officiant for our wedding. There were times when life got busy and Ken helped keep us on track. On our big day, he was so reassuring and well-spoken. We had compliments on our ceremony from our guests. Well-spoken, prompt, warm, caring, thoughtful - all things that come to mind when I think of Ken. He will work with you whether your ceremony is religious, non-religious, indoors, out, etc. Truly a wonderful officiant I would recommend to anyone!

Ken was an excellent official at our wedding. He responded promptly to our "last minute " request for a pastor to marry us. We had written our own vows and it was important to us to add some comments for Ken to read. He preformed them exactly as we wanted. We can highly recommend his services.

Great Experience
It’s hard to find someone trust worthy to officiate a wedding out of town. My son and his new wife wanted a great view for their wedding at The Pretty Place Chapel in Cleveland SC. Their officiate (Ken) was fantastic and took his time to provide everything they needed to make the wedding go smoothly.

Ken is amazing
We were so lucky to have Ken as our wedding officiant. He is extremely detailed and made sure every part of our ceremony was nothing short of perfect. He really cares about his couples. He went out of his way to check on us many times before the ceremony to make sure everything was ready and set to be amazing. He suggested a wine box love letter piece for our ceremony that ended up being one of our favorite parts of our wedding. You can hear how much he cares in his voice and through his development of the ceremony itself. I cannot recommend Ken enough to those looking for an officiant for their wedding!
