Best wedding DJ!!!
We can not recommend them enough. Booking them for our DJ was by far the best decision we made for our wedding. They were so easy to work with, extremely professional and so flexible on the day of our wedding when we needed to change things up a bit. Our families and friends had the best time. The photo booth was a hit with all ages and we will now have all the fun pictures for years to come. Thank you so much for being a part of our special day!! -

Just the right touch for our wedding!
Steve at Universal DJ was amazing. He knew what kind of music to play before anyone had to request it. He has a large variety of music to pick from. Amazing Job!!
Steve was a blast to work with! He was always available to answer any questions we had and guide us through the process. He made it all easy. Our wedding night went perfectly and we kept receiving compliments about how much fun our DJ was.

Best DJ in AZ!!!
Steve killed it at our wedding!! He did an excellent job of playing a variety of music, mixed songs extremely well, and knew how to get the crowd excited! Aside from being a great DJ, Steve is also very organized and makes sure the day is exactly as you planned. He uses his website to give you a login where you can input your timeline, song requests, bridal party names, etc. The whole process of working with Steve was so seamless and he took so much stress off the job of planning a wedding. I highly recommend Steve to anyone looking for a DJ, you won't find anyone better!! Thank you so much Steve for helping us make our wedding such a dream come true! -

Excellent wedding DJ
Universal DJ was given to us as a referral from a good friend of ours to use for our wedding. From the first phone call we made to “Steve” our DJ, to the day of the wedding, we felt like we had know Steve forever. We knew that our DJ would be the one running basically the whole show and it was as smooth as it absolutely could be and we never had to stress about anything. If you are looking for a company that takes true pride and passion for what they do, definitely take a hard look at Universal DJ. We will be recommending them to everyone we know! -

Steve was quick to respond from the first time I talked to him to get a quote all the way up to the day before the wedding. I WILL use Universal Disc Jockey over and over again. He made the party amazing, he was very easy to work with and he kept everyone on the dance floor. We had over 200 people at our wedding and it lasted until 1am, everyone was on the dance floor which was very important to me. I can't say enough about universal disk jockey. -

Effortless convenience
Steve was absolutely wonderful at our wedding and we are so happy we opted to make sure he was our DJ/MC. It took such a load off our shoulders to not have to worry or manage that part. If we have any other major events of any sort he will be the first we call. Cannot recommend him enough, you won't be disappointed. -

The absolute best
I couldn't have asked for a better Dj for my wedding on 12/02/18. Steve handled all of our requests with ease and even had Greek music for my husband's family. He literally had everything! The best part was him keeping me to my timeline because I can be pretty oblivious. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Steve to anyone for whatever their special occasion may be. -

Steve was amazing from the beginning. I highly recommend spending the extra money to have him personally DJ your wedding. He is very professional and knowledgeable about all things wedding. He assured me several times that I could contact him as much as I need and that I was not bothering him. He had great suggestions on how to outline things and what music to play to keep the party alive. My dance had people on it literally all night! He also made sure to find the specific songs I wanted. The best part is his website! It’s user friendly and allows you to customize your desires at your own time. I couldn’t be happier with him and his company. -

Out of everyone I hired for my wedding I have to say I was blown away by my dj. He made the night a party and he was bilingual! We had such a great night. We had been to a few events where Universal DJ was proving music and knew we had to have them for our wedding. Steve was incredibly accommodating and really got to know our style/preferences. We had a hiccup with our caterers which created some very last minute changes to our timeline, while pretended not to panic, Steve jumped in and made everything move along so seamlessly! DJ was a bigger part of budget but hands down worth it! Everyone danced and kept telling me how much fun they had! Steve provided lighting as well which made a huge difference! He had incredible insight withiut ever being pushy. Thank you, thank you for the best night ever!!! -

Steve was amazing at our wedding!! He had everyone out on the dance floor all night! Our friends and family had a blast!! My husband’s cousin got engaged at our reception and Steve pulled it off perfectly!! She couldn’t have even asked for a better engagement moment for her and her fiancé. Steve also went above and beyond because our pictures took way longer than expected and our caterer had issues with our appetizers! Steve entertained our guests before we were announced and made them forget they were hungry. Then he stepped up and helped the caterer serve our hungry guests. He also helped poor champagne to our guests for the toasts. Steve was not just our DJ, he has become family to us! We are throwing our annual Halloween party tomorrow night and so I will be posting another review very soon! I highly recommend him! He is so professional and artistic in his services! He feels the crowd and knows what they like!! You will not be disappointed and will want to throw more events so that you have an excuse to see him again!! -

Steve truly made our wedding a party! He was able to read the crowd and knew exactly what song to play next. His uplighting around the room knocked the elegance up a notch which would have been missing if he hadn't provided the service. Some MCs make the show about themselves but Steve isn't like that; he makes himself part of the event and makes the guests truly enjoy themselves. Love love love that we made the choice to hire Universal! -

As my wife and I are both individuals whom love to plan in advance and are very detail-oriented, we performed an elaborate search and had other appointments with DJs lined up over several days. Steve was the first, and the last DJ we met with as we connected with him right away and he demonstrated an excellent understanding of the special requests we had for our wedding. His knowledge and feel of music is excellent and he had many cool tips and tricks that other DJs couldn't even think of to implement for our special day. It was great that we could log in to his website and look through all of his music and make special requests and customize playlists. If he somehow doesn't have the song you want, he will buy it! We were very specific of timing and pace for our wedding to keep things moving and Steve did an excellent job, being proactive to keep things moving on schedule while making it looks effortless. We highly recommend working with him and the team at Universal Disc & Video Jockeys as his skills are unmatched! -

We had several appointments with DJs lined up over several days. Steve was the first, and the last DJ we met with! Within 20 minutes we hired him on the spot. His knowledge of music is out of this world! He has so many cool tips and tricks that other DJs couldn't even think of. We LOVE the fact that we can log on to his website and look through all of his music and make special requests. If he doesn't have it, he will buy it!! Even though our guests weren't the dancing type, he STILL had the party going and everybody loved it. His music selection was spot on! Thank you thank you thank you!!! -

Steve was the DJ we had, he was amazing to work with and very professional. He was set up ahead of time and took photos during the ceremony that he played on a projector during our first dance. He was just amazing all the way around and we would recommend him again any time. -

DJ Steve was awesome! When planning the ceremony and reception, he was always very responsive and helpful. He said I couldn't ever bug him too much and it was true! He checked in the day before the wedding to make sure everything was all set and to see if I had any questions. He arrived on time and I didn't have to worry about a thing. The flow of the reception went perfectly and he was on target for all the right songs and pictures to display. So many of our guests commented that the DJ was great! He had everyone up dancing. One of my favorite parts was playing the video clip from our ceremony during the reception. It was such a nice suprise for many of the guests. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ!!! -

What an awesome experience! Simon was very interactive with our guests and did a fantastic job! Wow, Steve did a smoking job! On time, on the ball and kept the reception going all night long with a great sound system and his personality. Audio was also great during the ceremony too, everyone could clearly hear what was being said by our officiant and our vows. Steve included Video taping with his DJ service that allowed me to create a GREAT video of our wedding to share with friends and family. I cannot express how appreciated I am to have that bonus included. We also had Steve do some lighting effects that came out better than I had imagine, very impressed and added to a very classy reception. Highly recommend adding Steve's lighting ideas.

We are so pleased to have had Universal Disc and Video Jockey involved in our wedding. Steve met with us and got to know our tastes and style. He is engaging, professional, and passionate about his work. The wedding ceremony and reception was creative and ran smoothly, as Steve had ideas about when to have the first dance, cut the cake etc. We have had so many people comment on the quality of the ceremony and reception, in large part thanks to Steve. We highly recommend using the video-screen option. It's a little extra, but the value of what you get definitely trumps the cost. Steve uploads pictures of guests from the ceremony and shows them on the video screen during songs (you can also provide him with pictures beforehand). He also shows music videos during the songs and the guests love it. Thank you so much Steve, and Universal Disc and Video Jockey! -

Steve is OUTSTANDING! He listens to EVERYTHING you want and delivers! Our wedding was in Sedona, but he was gracious enough to travel, which we really appreciated. What impressed us the most was his ability to read the crowd. If he played a song that brought the older guests out to the floor he followed it with another generation appropriate song that EVERYONE loved and kept the party going. We mostly requested current songs, but the balance he created was AWESOME. There was never a disappointing song playing EVER! It seemed like more than half of our guests commented on his talent. Our wedding was a blast and yet very tasteful thanks to Steve. He is also great at communicating, we never hesitated to give him a call or e-mail requests, which were always answered promptly. -

I would recommend this to anyone. Steve was amazing from the start. When I first called to get a quote, he was helpful and personable. After talking to a couple other DJs, I chose UDJ because he wasn't pushy and didn't say anything bad about other companies. Really says a lot about a company. Also, at the wedding, he was funny and kept the party going. He even helped me make my father daughter dance so special. :) overall, just a great experience. If you need a DJ, don't waste your time looking, cause after all of the ones I looked at, these guys are the best! -

I ADORE Steve from Universal Disc and Video Jockey! I used Steve's services in 2007 for my personal wedding and I was thrilled he was available last minute for my Corporate event this week. Steve brought in lighting to the venue and truly transformed the space with pink, turquoise and purple up lights. They weren't those horrible old school heat producing lights. They were very modern and sleek looking. I could not have asked for more. The music was perfect and Steve was so friendly with all my guests. I received multiple compliments about him and his music from my guests. -

Universal is the best! Steve DJ'd our wedding reception in 2006, and did a fantastic job. He is extremely reliable, knowledgeable and personable.
I was nervous picking a DJ, after years of attending weddings where the DJ's personality was less than appealing. The music at our reception was the most important element to my husband and I. Steve was perfect. He didn't try to steal the show, or make our guests do things that made them feel dorky or self conscious. He dressed appropriately for our event, arrived early and even helped our bartender find a corkscrew. He played exactly what we asked for, and nothing that we didn't. Steve is just plain cool. He's the only DJ I would call again, and the only one I recommend. -

I was very pleased Simon the DJ video taped my wedding ceremony and reception, because my father passed shortly after my wedding and now I can look back at my wedding and watch the video and see how happy he was. Thanks a million Universal Disc Jockeys and Video. I would also like to mention that every song the DJ played the dance floor was full and let me tell you that everyone who went to my wedding is still talking about how much fun it was! -

I met Steve back in 2004 when I was looking for a DJ for a small party. He was great. Charged a very competitive fee and was very flexible (I wanted a lot of international music).
A few years later, I get engaged and started shopping around for DJs. I found Steve again and his prices were still as competitive as ever. He even gave me a discount for being a return customer. I still wanted international music at the wedding, and was happy to see that he still had the catalog from a few years ago and I gave him some music to play. I liked that he was very easy going and listened to my requests. Since my wedding was not your typical wedding, I appreciated that Steve took the time to learn about multi-cultural weddings and how to incorporate the right music at the right time.
I've recommended Steve to my friends and if I need another DJ for any reason I will go straight to him. -

Steve was our DJ back in 1998 when we got married. We have continued to use him on all our special event, Birthday parties, Anniversary, etc. He has always been professional and there when we needed him. -

I highly recommend Universal DJ!!! Steve was the emcee of my wedding and he was amazing. He’s truly suited for his career and it shows through his quality of work. I chose a secluded location in Sedona for my ceremony so I could have a serene and peaceful setting. Since it was so remote there was no electricity. That "problem" was not a concern since Steve had a battery operated sound system so all the music and officiant were heard clearly. He played all the songs we requested during our reception and he kept our guests informed and entertained throughout the night. And as a surprise he had videotaped our ceremony and then played back snippets on the projection screen during open dance. That was such a clever idea that impressed our guests. Don’t hesitate to book Steve—you will get so much more than your monies worth! -

AJ is not only extremely good at what he does but he cares in helping make any event he does for you the best possible. He is outgoing and fun. Very respectful, honest, affordable and reliable. He will work with you on your budget because he is a DJ for the love and passion of it. He has done a New Years Party for me that was awesome because of him. He helped me with my wedding to make a "Thank You" music CD to go out to all my guests who made contributions which turned out exactly as I wanted. I will refer him to anyone and can say I would never use anyone else.

Steve with Universal DJ is AMAZING! As a hotel catering manager, I always tell my brides that your DJ is your MOST important vendor for your big day. They create the ambience and feel of your event (and they either MAKE it or BREAK it). I've worked with Steve on many weddings and I tell all of my clients that he is a MUST at your wedding. He is always extremely professional, timely and so easy to work with from a hotel perspective. I have loved working with Steve so much, that I hired him to do my own wedding. I still get told that my wedding was the BEST wedding any of my friends have ever attended...which my husband I totally owe this to Steve! He is classy, knows how to keep an all age crowd going and so MUCH FUN!! My husband and I met with many DJ's and Steve was the only one that won my husband over (which is a feat in itself). So many DJ's told us we had to do a conga line, the chicken dance, macarena and all the cheesy stuff to keep the party going-my husband was about to die when DJ after DJ told us this stuff was necessary...Well, meet Steve and you will quickly find out...you don't need any of that cheesy nonsense. He can keep a party going without those cheesy tactics. A good DJ knows how to get people dancing without making them do boring and cheesy group dances (which no one enjoys doing anyway). He not only has the highest technological ability, but he really knows how to keep a party going while appealing to all age groups at your special event. My husband and his friends aren't big dancers...and not one of us left the dance floor all night! The morning after our wedding neither of us could walk because we were so sore from dancing all night long. If it says anything, our wedding was supposed to end at 10...with the possibility of going to 11...we didn't end until 1:45am because everyone was having so much fun and couldn't stop dancing that we just said let's keep this party going. The best part of it all is that our parents and their friends stayed just as long as my husband I's friends. Steve with Universal DJ is a MUST at your wedding! My wedding would not have been as amazing as it was without him! We are so lucky to have had him create the party of a lifetime!

We had serious issues with our caterer and our DJ not only did his job but helped cover the inadequecies of the caterers. His equipment, music and personality made the reception a big hit. As far as I am concerned he saved my daughter's wedding. EVERYONE commented on Simon's great job. BTW - the reception went from 2:30 pm to midnight because they were enjoying him so much. -

Easily the best decision we made for our wedding. The dance floor was a hit all night. The DJ was amazing. He really knew how to keep the night progressing. I highly recommend using universal Disc and Video Jockeys. The DJ was without doubt the reason our wedding was such a success. -

Let me just say that Universal Disc Jockey made my wedding!!! My caterers were HORRIBLE and the DJ took over everything! They made sure everything ran smoothly and I had nothing to worry about. They were great at getting the crowd engaged and people were dancing the whole time! I have never seen so many people so pumped and having so much fun at any wedding like this one! I owe it all to them! I am actually trying to plan another event just so I can use them again! Simon rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

Steve was great! I was so nervous about the schedule of events for the reception and how everything would move along throughout the night. Steve assured me that everything would fall into place and that he would work with the wedding coordinator, photographer, and others to make my night perfect, which he DID! He was also very good with reading guests and playing music according to how active they were. My friends have commented that the DJ knew just what he was doing. Overall I was VERY satisfied! -
