We loved his suggestion for a secret rose ceremony, where we took a moment to gift each of our mothers a rose. He was easy to communicate with and ran the rehearsal well.

My husband and I were looking for an officiant that would make our ceremony laid back, smooth, and personal. Damian was our officiant and we appreciated his pre-set and organized template and that he was very open to us making it our own with editing and rearranging things. I've been to weddings where you can tell that the officiant knew little to nothing about the couple with what they say about the couple during the ceremony and this service was not that; Damian took the time to know us and feel out our vibe and thats what helped give our ceremony the personal touch I wanted. Additionally, we wanted a secular ceremony with a touch of our spirituality and traditions and Damian was very open to that. He has done ceremonies many times so I felt comortable that he would run things smoothly and our day went off without a hitch. He worked well with our venue and vendors. I didn't need much of him the day of since everything was well planned out but I could tell that if there was a snag in our plans he would have been ready to jump in to help smooth it out within reason. He even brought his case of ties for me to pick from so he would match us! If you are looking for an officiant who is organized and will help you have that personal touch at a great price, this is your vendor.

My wife and I also utilized their “Marriage Foundations” classes before the wedding. These counseling sessions helped us delve into better understanding the foundations of marriage (as the name suggests), the differences between genders, common struggles, and many other tips for a lasting relationship. We found these extremely helpful and also helped build rapport with Damian for our special day. Both Damian and Jean led the Foundations classes, which was great for us to hear perspectives from both sides of their marriage. Now we are interested in keeping touch periodically for refresher classes. Finally, we thought that they offered their services at a very reasonable price and I would strongly recommend them to anyone considering!

United Marriage Services came highly recommended to us by our venue. We reached out to Damian shortly after booking our wedding date and he was so amazing and responsive right from the start. He took the time to connect with us before we booked and really tried to get to know us. We booked fairly far in advance, but Damian was sure to keep in contact throughout our wedding planning process. He even took the time to call both my fiancé and I separately the day before our rehearsal just to check in. The day of our wedding, Damian was so kind and comforting. I was definitely an anxious bride and he made us both feel so at ease. He provided an incredible ceremony - one that many family and friends complimented us on. Extremely Happy!! Beautiful Wedding
Damian and Jean are absolutely amazing!! We originally just needed an officiant but Damian was so awesome upon meeting him, we decided to attend marriage counseling with them as well. Jean is the sweetest and was extremely helpful in helping make our marriage beautiful for the long term. Damian officiated our wedding and he truly made our ceremony everything - sweet, warm, comfortable, connected, fun, and even some humor to complement our relationship. The whole ceremony went smoothy, and we got lots of complements on how wonderful it was. Damian and Jean pointed our things in counseling, the rehearsal, and throughout the big day we hadn't even thought of, they truly made everything wonderful. Wonderful Personal Officiant Service
My wife and I had Damian as our officiant for a small personal wedding during Covid and a larger one a year later and had a fantastic experience. He was very kind and personal through the whole process. He picked out some passages that we were able to choose from that made the ceremony planning easy for us so that we didn't have to worry about anything day of. We chose Damian of United Marriage Services to be the officiant of our wedding ceremony. Prior to booking, Damian personally met with us and gave us so much helpful information about wedding planning, the ceremony services, and general marriage advice. From day one, Damian responded so quickly and truly gave genuine care and help into our wedding day. Damian helped us with the rehearsal as well as performed our ceremony on the wedding day. Damian gave our bridal party amazing advice from how to hold flowers, how to stand, etc. it was more than I could ask for!!
Damian will make a customized script for you where you get to choose your readings and template of your wedding! We really got to make it personal for us, without having to Google what we should say. He was so helpful!
I cannot recommend him enough! Our guests had nothing but amazing things to say about our ceremony!

More than we could have asked for!
We were very nervous looking for an officiant. We did not know who we wanted to be our officiant and what we wanted out of that person. We found Damian with reviews from other couples. We scheduled a meeting with him and we just weren't sure what to expect. We didn't know what we wanted for our ceremony even. Damian was immediately very calming for us. After reading our story and talking to us, you could tell he understood the kind of people we were. He helped us come up with ideas for our ceremony that we so perfect and so us. It is amazing how many ideas he has related to ceremonies, traditions, poems, speaking parts, vows, unity ceremonies and so much more. We left the meeting on cloud 9. We knew he had to be our officiant. Damian is very special. He speaks in a way that is so meaningful and thoughtful. He really helped us through everything for the ceremony and was available for any calls or meetings we wanted. When he arrived at the ceremony, he even had a special tie box that we could pick which tie he wore. We loved that special touch. The ceremony he gave us was so amazing and thoughtful. He was very emotionally in tune with us. We would recommend Damian to anyone and everyone. He is a must have for your wedding!

Damien was absolutely fabulous as an officiant at my wedding. He was extremely professional and offered help any time day or night. I am not good at public speaking and was really nervous. He helped me to stay calm throughout the entire ceremony and continued to talk me through it with “you’re doing great” and “here’s what’s coming next” under his breath so those attending the ceremony wouldn’t hear it. He also gave great advise to the wedding party on how to hold flowers and link arms to get the best photos. He made sure to remind my maid of honor to fix my dress at the altar so it looked perfect. Even after the wedding he sent us an email with the link to order our marriage certificate. However, the absolute best part was when he pulled out a box of ties day of the wedding and asked which one the bride wanted him to wear. Everyone was talking about how great he did and I intend to recommend him to anyone looking.

We appreciate everything Damian has done for us
We wanted to get married officially on a different day than our ceremony. When we asked Damian if he could help to marry us, he agreed with no hesitation without charging us extra. Both my parents (they came from China) joined our official marriage at Damian's office and Damian was very kind to both of them and greeted them in Chinese. He also took lead for our rehearsal which we really appreciated. For the wedding day, despite us being nervous and our dog being loud during ceremony, he helped the ceremony to run smoothly.

Damian's Passion and Excitement Gave Us an Unforgettable Ceremony
After meeting Damian for the fist time via Zoom, we knew he was the right officiant for us! His passion for life, love and marriage is palpable, and it cut across in every conversation we had leading up to the wedding, and most importantly, on our wedding day.
Not having much of an idea of how we wanted our wedding to flow, he provided us with options for the structure of the wedding as well as many readings, poems and verses to choose from to curate the perfect wedding ceremony.
He was there to answer any questions we had throughout the process, and provide words of advice and gave us great tips on how to remain calm, slow down and really enjoy and live the ceremony. Most Memorable Ceremony
We worked with Jean for our wedding on August 1, 2020. She was absolutely amazing! During rehearsal she gave a lot of pointers to the bridal party to make our pictures look nice, told everyone what they needed to do and reassured us the entire time. Planning the ceremony was a smooth process and we were able to plan a unique ceremony that wasn't too long or too short. Jean sat down with us and walked us through each step of the ceremony and took the time to get to know us to make our ceremony personalized and special. On our wedding day Jean made us both so comfortable and had everyone organized and on time! Jean was the most wonderful officiant we could have had. United Marriage Services is the best! Our ceremony was just as the title states... upbeat, joyful, positive, bright, happy, enhanced experience because of Damian. Weeks before the ceremony, Damian met with us to discuss the plan. He knew all the right questions to ask us to ensure our ceremony was what we wanted. We were so impressed by all the little details he includes, such as how the bridal party should hold their bouquets, how the groomsmen should stand, and how the bride and groom rings should be presented during the ceremony. He also proposed the idea of a "Secret Rose Ceremony" for our mothers. We did so and our mothers absolutely loved it. He has many other touching and unique ideas to include in a ceremony. Many of our guests commented how well Damian carried out the ceremony as his voice projects so well even outdoors. Our videographer used his voice throughout our wedding video and it is absolutely amazing. It brings tears to our eyes every time we watch it. We will recommend United Marriage Services time and time again as Damian most definitely enhanced our special day with his upbeat personality and superb professionalism. Amazing Experience!
Damian was wonderful to work with during our wedding this past summer! He made the ceremony planning process so easy for us and was incredibly helpful and always available to discuss any questions we had as we planned our wedding. Jean took care of our rehearsal and did an excellent job explaining the flow of the ceremony and keeping everyone on track. Our ceremony couldn’t have gone any better and we had so many great comments from our guests about how beautiful it was. Damian has a fun, upbeat personality and he definitely brings that energy to the ceremony! I would absolutely recommend him for any wedding!

We love Jean!
Ryan and I cannot thank you enough Jean for the impact you made on us and on our wedding day. 10/12 was a dream and couldn’t have been more perfect. I personally appreciate your extra time and “coaching” me to relax on the small stuff of the ceremony - it really allowed me to take it all in. Ryan and I both agree our two favorite parts of the day are the ceremony and our first dance, both of which made us feel the real meaning behind the whole “big day”. For other brides -- Jean and Damian met with us for almost 2 hours on a Sunday evening 9 months ago to get to know us and allow us to get to know them. My fiancé and I did not even need to go home to “think it over”, we knew we wanted United Marriage Services to officiate our big day. Warm, caring, and fun!
My husband, Chandler, and I were married in May of 2019 at High Line Car House and Damian was our officiant and did a FANTASTIC job! His wife, Jean, led our rehearsal and was clearly an expert at understanding the process and giving us helpful tips to make our day extra special. We did the pre-marital sessions as well and they were well worth it! Damian and Jean are warm, caring, dedicated people who will do everything they can to make your day perfect. By the second time we met with them, I felt like they were close friends and it made our wedding feel personalized. Damian would talk to us during the ceremony, coaching us and helping us stay calm and composed. I can't recommend United Marriage Services, Damian and Jean, enough!

A genuine heartfelt ceremony
We chose to have Jean officiate our wedding in September. We could not recommend Jean more, she really went above and beyond to make sure our ceremony was EXACTLY what we wanted. She was open and honest with any decision we made and we could not imagine having any one else solidify our marriage. Jeans communication was wonderful and she was always available every step of the way. She was calm and managed our bridal party with ease. She did not skip a beat, she is genuine and was a crowd pleaser. We had an instant connection and I think you will too!

An amazing experience for such a special day!
My husband and I loved working with Damian! He was so great and personable and really kept you at ease knowing that the ceremony would be great and everything that you could have hoped for. Damian worked with us closely in deciding what we wanted for our special day, how it would flow, he gave helpful suggestions and helped walk us through every step of the way. Even though I was an early bird bride and set up he services early, we got emails and phone calls checking in and closer to our day we had another quick meeting to make sure everything was going to go smoothly. The rehearsal was great and the day of Damian was such a comfort to me as a bride checking in before the ceremony to give me some words of comfort and letting me know things were looking great. Damian and Jean are an excellent team. We found them through our wedding planner, Ashley Stephan, and after meeting with Damian once, we knew he would do a great job officiating our ceremony. My husband and I did not want to read our own vows, but we still wanted the ceremony to feel personal, so we wrote a story about how we met and what we loved about each other, and Damian worked bits and pieces of it into our ceremony seamlessly- it was perfect! They were also extremely easy to get in touch with and did a fantastic job with the rehearsal as well.

Better than we even hoped for
My (now) husband and I found Damian and Jean quickly when searching for an officiant for our wedding. We decided to book a consultation appointment after seeing all of the 5+ ratings. We instantly booked Damian upon meeting both of them. We also took several marriage coaching courses, which are so worth it! Jean even made several book recommendations when hearing some of my trauma and history, which have become some of my favorites! I could write a novel, but I'll leave it to this. Overall, Damian performed the ceremony very well, and the audience enjoyed it and commented on how smooth and professional it all ran. We highly recommend both Damian and Jean for your wedding and coaching leading up to the wedding.

Exceptional and genuine services
Jake and I hired Damian as our officiant before he offered us, pre-marital classes. We decided to take them since we saw so many good reviews about the materials that Damian and his wife Jean had to offer. Taking the classes gave us the perfect opportunity for us to get to know them on a more personable level that definitely was reflected during our ceremony. We even got to take home additional materials to look through on our own after our classes ended. My husband and I have already started to practice our learnings from their classes, and we've since such a positive change in the way we communicate with each other.
Damian conducted an amazing ceremony for us. We were able to customize our ceremony by using a template he provided with suggestions on how to make it our own. He retold our story so perfectly, and in our photos, you can see how connected Jake and I are during the ceremony.

A Memorable Ceremony
It was a pleasure to work with Damian, he made the wedding ceremony a breeze. He was very patient, understanding and helpful. We wanted an interpreter because my wife is Chinese, and she wanted all of her Chinese friends to understand what was being said. It made the wedding ceremony almost twice as long but it was worth it. Damian was extremely accommodating and choreographed the flow of interpretation flawlessly. Nothing to worry about!!!
Damian was a pleasure to work with at all levels! We were looking for a "less traditional" ceremony, something that still had elements of a traditional wedding, but not a "church" wedding, and Damian came through with many ideas to make the service have just the right touch of old school and implementation of our ideas as well. His calm demeanor helped through the whole process, and kept the stress level to a minimum. We had one less thing to worry about on the wedding day!

WE loved working with them!
Derek an I were looking for someone to marry us. After looking at reviews for Damian and Jean we setup a meeting. After the meeting with Damian, we knew we wanted him to perform our ceremony. Simply Amazing!
Damian was simply amazing! My husband and I were a little hesitant at first having someone officiate our wedding that knew nothing about us or our journey together. However, after our first meeting we knew Damian was the one. We both felt so comfortable talking to him and we loved how he was so interested in our story. He really does know how to make a ceremony special and personal. We recieved so many compliments on how amazing he was. He also does an amazing job on how to keep you calm during the ceremony. It can be a very nerve-wracking time and he does a great job making sure your relaxed through the entire ceremony. I would absolutely recommend United Marriage Services to everyone!

Damian was great, from the initial meeting with him, communicating along the way, and all the way to the ceremony. He made it super simple for us, and had a number of options already planned out for the ceremony before we even started planning it. Damian is amazing! He did a fantastic job at our wedding. We felt like he was part of the family. He even helped us host a tea ceremony even though it was an extra on top of the ceremony. We had initially investigated getting married in the Church where I had grown up, but the parish is not longer active. Not having a connection to a specific local parish we sought an officiant that would be able to appreciate and incorporate our beliefs into our ceremony despite not being in an official Church. After researching and meeting other officiants we quickly came to the realization that Damian was the the right fit to perform our ceremony. His process was streamlined and he had customizable ceremony templates readily available to create the perfect ceremony for us. We could add religious elements if/where we wanted to throughout our ceremony (he also had options for something more secular). He also provided guidance and options for special ways to incorporate members of our family into our ceremony.
Another benefit of using United Marriage Services is that Damian and Jean offer pre-marriage classes (you can take just a few, or as many as you can fit in before the big day). We liked that opportunity to talk through some things with both of them to get some male/female perspective and communication tools and styles. Spending this time with them also helped them to better get to know us when it came to performing the ceremony versus an officiant where you meet just once before the ceremony.
When it came to the rehearsal and ceremony, we were really grateful to have Damian there to direct us and orchestrate the event. After all the planning, he was there to make sure we could just show up, be excited, and say "I do". A sweet little touch was when he showed up with a box of different neckties for the bride to choose. Afterward, Damian took care of making sure our wedding certificate paperwork was signed, and he submitted it to the County courts for us - one less thing for us to worry about on our busy day. It's clear this isn't his first rodeo and he knows just what to do.

Damian King was the absolute best officiant ever. He not only performed the most magical ceremony of love and commitment for us, but he did so while meeting all of our requests including a candle-lighting, time capsule ceremony and rose ceremony on what I believe was likely the hottest day this summer with no complaints whatsoever. He was compassionate, he spoke clearly and even fixed a huge problem when another company's microphones went out as he projected his voice and continued the ceremony without hesitation. By doing so he saved the day and mood of the ceremony. I can't imagine our wedding day with anyone else. We were so happy to run into him on our 3-month anniversary and it felt like we were seeing a member of our family because of the warmth and comfort he exudes. It is so apparent that he enjoys what he does. His rehearsal is well-organized and he does an excellent job of rallying everyone together and explaining in detail the duties of all members of the wedding party. His laughter and happiness is contagious. All of our guests commented on how much they loved him, and we love him too.

Jean was our officiant for the day of the ceremony and helped us get develop our ceremony details. She is very responsive to email and helped keep us on track. Given scheduling conflicts, we had Damian for our actual wedding rehearsal - since he knew every detail of what we wanted as well, we had no concerns or ground to cover when Jean showed up the day of the wedding. Both work seamlessly together and either would be a fantastic choice as a wedding officiant. We did have one small mishap on the day of the wedding where our second-to-last draft of our ceremony script was read instead of our final draft. My husband and I were the only ones who noticed and it didn't stray far from our previous draft so at the end of the day it wasn't a huge deal. Despite this, we still wouldn't have changed our decision to go with United Marriage Services for our big day. They are professional, courteous and passionate about their job!

They are not only great at what they do, they are overall just lovely people and so incredibly easy to work with. Jean was our wedding officiant, but we also took their foundation of marriage course so we interacted with Damian there as well. The premarital course was a great way for all of us to get to know each other before the big day. Jean always made herself extremely available to answer each and every question I had. She also gave us a ceremony outline that helped us with the layout, but she was more than willing to make some small changes so that all the wording was exactly as we wanted it. We heard from many of our guests that the ceremony was extremely heartfelt and the most unique they had witnessed, which is exactly what we were going for! My husband and I will always highly recommend Jean & Damian. Thank you both so much for being a special part of our wedding journey!
