Shannon officiated our wedding on February 6th, and she absolutely knocked it out of the park. From the moment we met her, we knew we'd made the right choice - she's warm, genuinely funny, and made the whole ceremony feel personal and meaningful rather than cookie-cutter.
She arrived early (which we really appreciated), came prepared, and delivered a ceremony that had our guests laughing and crying in all the right moments. The real testament? Multiple guests told us she was hands-down the best officiant they'd ever seen at a wedding - and that includes some of their own relatives who officiate weddings in other states!
Shannon also happens to be a huge Lions fan, which made my now-wife Andrea very happy and gave me (a Bears fan) some well-deserved grief. The NFL banter added some fun laughs and showed Shannon's ability to connect with people on a personal level.
We also appreciated that Shannon is openly LGBTQ friendly. While we're both straight, shared values matter to us, and it was important to work with someone who celebrates love in all its forms.

Super Queer Christmas Jammie Ceremony
Shannon was able to help us out at the last minute elopement. She was quick to respond and enthusiastic about our wedding. We decided on a goofy Christmas party, everyone wearing jammies, and Shannon showed up on time dressed down in her Christmas jammies. We're a trans couple, and Shannon was so inclusive and respectful of pronouns and presentations. She was prepared with a little wedding pamphlet as well. highly recommend, especially for the queers out there looking for someone supportive. Thanks so much Shannon!!United by Shannon's reply:

Shannon gave us a wonderful wedding ceremony. We were concerned that we didn’t have a church and we wouldn’t find someone who was able to express what we wanted. Shannon was perfect and communicated and helped every step of the way. Her ceremony for our wedding got So MANY compliments and it felt so personal and delightful. She reached out before I could which I loved and gave helpful tips all the way . -

Shannon rocked our wedding!!
We absolutely loved having Shannon as our officiant! She was upbeat, professional, and brought such a positive energy to our entire wedding day. From our first conversation, she made us feel comfortable and really took the time to get to know us as a couple. She took care of our marriage license for us and encouraged us to fill out questionnaires so she can make the ceremony as personal as possible. Shannon is very adaptable and understands how to smooth over any hiccups seamlessly!
Our ceremony couldn’t have been more perfect — heartfelt, personal, and full of meaning. Shannon did an amazing job incorporating El Lazo and Las Arras into our ceremony to honor my husband’s Mexican culture, and it was such a beautiful touch that meant a lot to both of us.
So many of our guests commented on how genuine and joyful the ceremony felt. If you’re looking for someone who is professional, kind, and brings a great balance of warmth and organization, Shannon is the one! -

Shannon officiated our ceremony on 8-30-25, it was so BEAUTIFUL!! We couldn’t have imagined it to be any better. She arrived early and ensured the ceremony was running smoothly. I HIGHLY recommend putting all your trust in Shannon to officiate your wedding!!! She was extremely pleasant to work with and created the ceremony of our dreams. She made the process as smooth and easy as possible, and made the most beautiful ceremony I could imagine. She speaks clearly and makes great eye contact, and is very enthusiastic. The perfect person for your special day
I can’t say enough good about Shannon-I threw this wedding together in just a few days and just wanted a small ceremony without a lot of hoopla. Just a gathering with 10 friends, in our living room. I knew the minute I called Shannon she was the right person. I called her on New Year’s Eve and asked if she could be at our house 4 days later. She was available and everything just came together. She arrived right on time and mingled with us all for a short time before moving into the living room for the ceremony. It was lovely and just felt so comfortable. I’ll always be grateful to Shannon for making my wedding day a smooth, intimate celebration-I had been with my husband for 15 years so we really just needed to make it official! Thank you Shannon! -
