For my wedding I wanted my bridesmaids to wear pinup dresses so I found this adorable store all the way in Burbank that had the perfect dress. Me and my bridesmaid went and everyone love steh dress it was so comfortable and beautiful. Very pinup for sure.

I purchased my wedding dress from the Unique Vintage website, on sale. My dress is the UV Dovima Ballerina Swing Dress in Champagne. The dress is so well-made and just absolutely stunning, and well worth what I paid for (and more, to be quite honest!). The dress came carefully packaged in a beautiful box. My family and friends were raving about the dress all evening. I would definitely advise any girls who are looking for a truly unique style of wedding dress to consider Unique Vintage! You absolutely cannot go wrong with their house label.

I purchased my wedding dress for $383! I am not sure it gets much better than that as a bride. The store was quaint, affordable, and offered a variety of unique dresses from the 1920s-1980s (or so) in various sizes and designs. I feel like I found a "one of a kind" dress- new, clean, amazing! The staff was super friendly, professional, and surprised me with a lower price tag than the one placed on the dress. I couldn't be happier.

I love Unique Vintage! I was a shopper there before I got engaged. After getting engaged I was so excited to shop their bridal department. My bridesmaids' got their dresses there. They were super cute and were flattering to all the girls. Most importantly, they weren't expensive and the girls can wear them again without looking like they have on a bridesmaid's dress. I ended up getting my wedding dress and veil there as well. I shopped the large retail chain wedding store, no name need be mentioned, but the experience was horrible and left me in tears. When I went to Unique Vintage the sales woman, Sue, was super sweet and thoughtful. She pulled perfect dresses for me. I tried on 6 and liked 5 out of the 6. The dress I picked was priced reasonably and was unique and stunning. I'd recommend them to any bride looking for a dress. They were so helpful the whole way through. <3

Unique Vintage is a FANTASTIC place to shop for your wedding dress.

My mom and I landed at Unique Vintage after seeing them listed on a wedding blog - we were intrigued, so we went to check them out - even after I was pretty sure we found "The Dress" at another shop.

I told Anna the kind of dresses I had been looking at, and we both found it easy to pull a few styles that I would like. All along the way she took the time to listen to my concerns and adjust what I was trying on accordingly - when it became clear that I wanted a sheath dress, she was great at recommending that we put back a few of the "fuller" styles we had pulled, and grabbed a few other sheath like options. She really spent the time to help me see what each dress would ultimately look like on me.

In the end, I was still in love with "The Dress" from the other shop ... but hated the experience and service we received there. But that's the best part about Unique Vintage - when we called them about the other dress, they found a way to order it to their shop, and at a significantly cheaper price!!

These ladies are patient, honest, and have lovely personalities that make your dress buying experience all you've hoped for when you dream about shopping for wedding dresses. I'd recommend them anytime!

I went to Unique Vintage with no expectation of finding a dress, since they are not a traditional bridal shop, but a store that sells vintage style clothing. It was the first place I looked and after looking at 8 other places (including a large chain bridal store) I ended up right back where I started, and couldn't be happier. Unique Vintage carries designer gowns at very affordable prices. The one on one interaction that you get with the sales associate is unmatched. I tried on quite a few gowns, and thought I had made up my mind when Anna, the young lady that was helping me, brought out a gorgeous dress for me to try. It was not the shape that I had in mind, nor the material, but I tried it anyway. She said, "I think you'll love it, it really fits who you are and your personality." She was absolutely right!! It was amazing, and I purchased it. If you're looking for great customer service, personal interaction, and affordable prices, Unique Vintage is for you.

I ordered a Flapper beaded gown from Unique vintage. I ordered it on Sep 10th at 5:09 pm, and it arrived by 10 am on Friday 10/13. The dress is gorgeous!!! I ordered item no 19510-d61 1920 style flapper Black & Gold beaded Drop waist dress. The bead work is very detailed. Size is exactly correct, colors are perfect, and I cannot wait to wear it for my daughters 1920 themed wedding. I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for Unique dresses and clothing.
I will be a returning customer. Very pleased!

This place is a hidden gem! I have driven by it tons of times, and I had never thought to go in. This is THE place to get a Maggie Sottero gown. The wedding dress selection is not as big as the huge dress shops, but if you know you want a Maggie, this place is perfect. They also have little white dresses for receptions & after parties! The service here is personal and attentive. If you try on a dress and it looks hideous, they will gently suggest that you try another dress :) On top of this, they have a ton of cute vintage-inspired bathing suits, shoes, accessories, and dresses of all kinds. I also got all of my bridesmaid dresses here. They did not have the color I wanted in stock, but we ordered them and they arrived in just a few days. I'm a happy girl!

I highly recommend this shop for bridal gowns and veils, their selection is fantastic.

The bridal section of the store is small and not intimidating at all. All the gowns are from top wedding designers; Maggie Sottero or Allure, have vintage design components and details, while staying under the $2K price point. They also carry a wide range of sample sizes.

Kelly, the manager is absolutely lovely and attended me during both of my visits and the purchasing of my gown. She also communicated the delivery time of my dress and veil accurately. Actually, they both ended coming in much earlier than originally expected.

I was apprehensive about trying on gowns at first but my experience at this shop was pleasant and enjoyable, not overwhelming or traumatic at all. Plus, my appointment was private, due to the small size of the salon I was the only bride-to-be there at the time and didn't have to deal with tons of other patrons running around and staring. If you're hell bent on steering clear of DB, then visit Unique Vintage, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Besides, their gowns are much higher quality and come with a certificate of authenticity straight from the designer.

The sales associate, Dana, was so helpful in helping me order my dress, as well as my bridesmaids' dresses. She let me know everything I needed to know about the dresses and the orders and it was just a very pleasant experience shopping for our dresses there.

I literally had the best bridesmaid dresses EVER and for only about $200 a girl, which included a petticoat. They were well made and arrived very timely. Great place for vintage style dresses.

Unique Vintage is an absolute gem of a salon with classic and beautiful dress options, a patient and absolutely divine staff, and it was the one and only dress store I went to for my wedding because there was no need to look anywhere else. Their prices are 100% affordable for any bride on a budget and trust me when I say you will not be sacrificing quality! Susan and her staff helped me try on dresses and were beyond patient as I came the first time with my Mom, second time with my Mom and best friend/MOH who had flown in from Florida, and finally with my Mom and Dad. Now, I am not completely crazy for going there three times, I promise, it’s just that my parents live about 12 hours away from me, and my best friend was in Florida, so coordinating our schedules as I was finding my dress resulted in multiple trips.
Still, I found my dress on my first trip with just my Mom, said “Yes to the Dress” officially on my second trip with my Mom and best friend there, and then showed it off on the third trip once my Dad came down for a visit. Each time we came in the staff always had smiles on their faces and were more than willing to support us going through the dress selection process. They also went above the call of duty when I had to move up my wedding 6 months (after ordering the dress) because our Church was closing down for renovations, so I called them in a panic wondering if we could get my dress that had already been ordered, now put in a rush order. My now hero, Susan, called the manufacturer then also was working with her boss to see if it could be done, and after a couple worrisome days, they told me they’d be able to get it in time, yay and thank goodness! Lastly to their credit, when my dress came in, Susan helped me with the bustle for my dress and also fine tuning some of the thread details, so overall, epic dress for me, fantastic service and fun salon!!

I really appreciated Unique Vintage as an alternative to the bigger bridal stores. I received great personalized attention every time I went into the store. They'd check in on me, but weren't overly pushy as I was shopping for veils, a bridal headband, and my bridesmaid's dresses.

The online store also has a great variety. I was able to find a dress style that worked for all my bridesmaids, who all have different body shapes. The best part is that their warehouse is nearby, so they can fulfill orders within 2-4 days. That was a god-send considering most bridal stores you have to order 4-6 months ahead of time!

Even though I already had purchased my wedding dress before discovering Unique Vintage, I thought they had a beautiful selection of gowns that were reasonably priced (by wedding industry standards).

Now that my wedding is done, I'll probably go back to check out their other vintage-inspired outfits. I'm a fan! Definitely go check them out :)

I’ve been a Unique Vintage fanatic for the past year so when it came time to choose a wedding dress and dresses for my maids they were the only place I wanted to go. Their website is so easy to use, their prices are affordable, and they take measurements on each and every piece, ensuring you can order with confidence. I hit a few snags when my matron of honor ordered the wrong dress, and I ordered the wrong size for my Maid of Honor – they easily credited my Matron’s account and allowed her to return the dress for the right one, and a quick phone call to their store to hold the right size for my Maid solved my problems – they were amazing!

Unique Vintage was a wonderful store to purchase your wedding dress. I knew what dress I wanted before I walked in. The girls at the store were very helpful in helping me get fitted. I got my dress online. It was a great price but then went on sale and was even better considering my very small budget. I ordered a size bigger than usual and it was still a little too small. I called them immediately and since it was on sale they only had a few sizes left. They held the next size for me until I could get the other one shipped back. I got it within a few days and it fit PERFECTLY!!! It was the only dress I tried on and it was amazing for my special day.

The only part about planning a wedding that I was truly dreading was going into a bunch of stores to try on dresses that I wasn't really interested in in the first place. I decided that before I did that, I would look online to see if I found anything that caught my attention first. We had a Christmas wedding and I was looking for a 1940s style dress. Once I found Unique Vintage, I was completely ecstatic! They had exactly what I was looking for and it only cost $258! At my wedding, I got nothing but compliments at how fantastic my dress was. Most people thought it was a family heirloom... everyone kept asking how long it had been in the family and my response was always "a year". I couldn't have been happier with the style and I can't even describe how pleased I was that I didn't have to shell out a ridiculous amount of money on something I wore once.

The ladies at this store were great to work with and helped me to make sure I was ordering the right size. And the dress was beautiful! I highly recomend this store if you are looking for a vintage looking wedding dress and you don't want to go to the trouble and cost of actually trying to find a vintage wedding dress. I shocked my friends by ordering my wedding dress online. I selected a vintage-inspired satin knee-length dress with an embroidered flower on the bust. It was beautiful and a great deal at $150. The material was a little sheer but a slip solved that problem. It was true to size and all it took was a little altering to make it fit perfectly. I also purchased a very nice birdcage veil for a mere $25. I enjoyed my experience so much, my maid of honor decided to get her dress there too. She got a reasonably priced dress she loves and can actually wear again. She looked great. We both will be shopping there again.

I found my dress online while helping another bride shop. I loved it and bought it instantly! The dress seemed to run small (I wore a size larger than in my everyday wear) but it was true to it's measurements. If you order through them just be sure to check their size chart first.

I received my dress on schedule and it was just as beautiful in person as on my computer screen. If you aren't afraid to buy a dress without trying it on first I would highly recommend them!

P.S. They have super cute everyday wear and great options for the non-traditional bridesmaide

Fabulous, affordable options for that vintage wedding. My dress and crinoline arrived earlier than expected, and were in excellent condition - I didn't even bother having the dress steamed before the wedding, there were so few creases. The only problem was response - one of the items I ordered was on backorder, and even though we got the item delivered with the whole order, there was no communication to let us know that - we opened the box with no idea about what we'd find inside. Otherwise, perfect in every way! Visit these guys online for all your vintage needs.

This company has great customer service, so while some of their merchandise is very expensive, I have never been disappointed with a purchase from them. I ordered a beaded flapper dress for a stylized engagement shoot, and when I got it it had some makeup They are easy to deal with on the phone and online, and they make sure that you get what you want.

I love Unique Vintage as a store and I was incredibly excited when they revealed that they were going to be carrying the new Allure Bridal dresses. (I'd had my eye on a specific one for months and they were the only vendor in town to get it in on time.) I love the store and they've renovated it so that one side has all of the prom, vintage inspired dresses and the other half is more gowns and wedding. I love the staff, Anna helped me try on my dress. It was amazing and I loved it the minute I put it on. (I only tried on one other dress and that was because my friend was bored waiting for a bridesmaid to get there.) It isn't a bridal salon in the traditional way but it's a great location with fun decor and great staff. As far as I can tell there is very little mark up since you don't have a consultant fee added on. Great price for an amazing dress. The only con is that there isn't a tailor on site to alter the dress and if you need a lot more guidance there is staff but when I was there, there weren't consultants per se. They're very helpful getting you in and out of the gowns and giving an honest opinion (if you'd like one that is;) But they aren't assigned to you the way a consultant at another salon would be. They were also able to order my bridesmaid's dresses in the color I needed and are very good about letting you know when things come in.

I decided I was not going to spend thousands of dollars on my wedding dress so I went with Unique Vintage and was more than pleased with the results. Everyone loved my dress and you couldn't tell it was only a $200 rather than a $2,000. I would recommend skipping the bridal dress shops and buying online. It takes a little longer to buy and return that way but it is cheaper in the end.

Unique Vintage was my ultimate choice for my wedding attire. We had a very tight budget, and Unique Vintage had a wide selection in our range. Our wedding was Rockabilly themed, so this website was certainly the best choice. One of the things I liked a lot about it is that there was an actual sizing chart instead of just having to choose from small, medium, large, etc. so I was able to measure myself and get exactly what I needed. The only downside was that the zipper on my dress almost didn't work- which would have been disastrous had it not eventually worked because this happened on the day of the wedding. All in all, I would recommend Unique Vintage for any occasion.

I ordered my dress from here and it was probably the only thing I didnt like in my wedding. The picture was very much off from what I had received, but due to my budget limits I had to make due. When I tried it on, the lining was too close to the zip and was stuck for sometime, almost making me late to my own wedding! They do have some gorgeous clothes, but I wouldnt recommend a wedding dress from there.

I ordered my wedding dress from Unique Vintage's online shop (Goldwyn 1930s style velvet gown in navy blue). Great price ($98) and they often have coupon codes. However, I had a very mixed experience: the dress itself, after some alterations to improve the fit, garnered me so many compliments. It has a glamorous, classy silhouette, drapes nicely, and the spandex hug your curves without pinching. However it smelled very musty, like the dress had been stored in an old attic even though it was brand new. I'm pretty sensitive to scent, but the seamstress also noticed it as she was pinning to my body. In addition to paying for alterations, I had to bring it to the dry cleaner (tag says dry clean only); after paying for expedited shipping, cleaning, and alterations, the dress cost double the original price. If you're ordering online, plan for additional time and expense for cleaning and tailoring, so be careful if it's for a special occasion. However, after all that it looked great!

I ordered a purple confetti dress that showed in stock for a week after I ordered it and after waiting for so long, it never came in the mail so I emailed the company and they canceled my order

I ordered a beautiful purple confetti dress from the website as soon as they posted it. I had been following them for quite some time before I saw something I actually wanted and couldn’t live without. I paid $115. And some change with protected shipping included. I was so excited I commented on there Facebook expressing my happiness. The dress was up a week after I ordered the dress then disappeared without a trace from the website. I started to get nervous and decided to do some research on the company and found nothing but bad reviews about the company and the shipping time and the customer service. I waited another week before I emailed them inquiring about the dress arrival time as I ordered this dress in early January for Valentine’s Day in February. I did not want a refund I would have waited till after Valentine’s Day just wanted to know if I should get a dress from somewhere with better shipping for the actual day. I was met with an email stating they refunded my money due to the dress not being available. Are you kidding me! I ordered the dress and it was up for a week after I ordered it so which is it? Did you just not ship the dress in order of people who ordered it???? I’m very upset! I checked and checked and still got scammed. Never again save your money and order from Amazon love yall be safe! Don’t trust these small businesses.

Please do not buy here.

So I had placed my order in april, it took them till june to ship my order, they purposely didn't include part of my order in my shipment even though it was in stock, just told me they wouldn't be sending that dress with the rest of my order and then refused to fully refund me for said item.

It's now end of august and I still haven't gotten anything. After contacting their customer service, they were supposed to contact DHL to find out where my package went and then once again ignored me completely for a month even though they'd "get back to me in 5-7 days". After contacting them once again, they didn't even mention my package, so I'm guessing they never actually bothered to check where it went, and they promised to fully refund me. Well, as you can guess, no refund to be seen anywhere. You're better off burning your money, that way you still get some heat out of it and it's not a source of stress for 5 months...

Oh, and they're deleting my negative reviews (and the negative reviews of how many others) where they can...

Found the dress I've been looking for for a year

Paid for it.
Drove to Burbank to pick it up
Found out that they over sold the dress, while standing in the store expecting to walk out with my dream dress, but they're sending my refund right away, as if that's really fixing it
Super annoyed. Super disappointed.

They have the same dress in a different color, that they could very easily use to replace the dress that they sold to me, but don’t have anymore.
Their customer service manager is a completely incompetent, rude, inflexible. Completely not interested in satisfied customers, only interested in taking your money.

THERE IS NO RETURN, EXCHANGE OR STORE CREDIT FOR FINAL SALE ITEMS THAT ARE NOT AS ADVERTISED! I bought 3 dresses the exact same size 2 fit perfectly BUT one was so small that it could not come together in the back where it zips... it could not come together by 4 inches... which lets me know that it was a final sale because the merchant knew that the dress was 3-4 sizes smaller than advertised. Then I am supposed to be stuck with a tiny dress that I can do nothing with but look at. I gave it to my 11 yr old granddaughter in the hopes that one day she may be able to fit it. I will never recommend this store! At these prices there should be some remedy when you're sold something that is NOT AS ADVERTISED!
I will put this review out on every clothing blog, because this policy is absolute greed and an excuse to get rid of stuff that Unique Vintage would otherwise not be able to get rid of!

BUYER BEWARE!

I am pretty positive I had my credit card number stolen from an employee at Unique Vintage. I ordered a bridesmaid dress from their online store in July, and a friend (also a bridesmaid) ordered the same one a few days later. Recently we were both informed that fraudulent charges were made on those cards. The only overlaps we had with places we shopped were at Unique Vintage and Wal-Mart. It doesn't take much to put two and two together to figure our where our credit cards were stolen, considering if it were Wal-Mart it would be national news.

I would not recommend this shop to anyone. Although both of our banks discovered the charges fast enough to prevent our bank accounts being wiped out, I will never again trust Unique Vintage with my personal information and will never again shop from them.

Please note that this review only applies to their online shop. Their physical shop may be more trustworthy, but I would still not risk it.
