Evelyn was a pleasure to work with and I felt very comfortable and confident with communication with her. She nailed the design of cake I wanted with just one picture i sent to her. Due to tropical storm that occurred on my wedding day I had a last minute venue change and Evelyn was responsive and had no issues with venue change and setting up my cake as needed. If you want to work with someone who has a friendly personality and very reasonable prices then definitely choose Unique Sweets!

Evelyn and her sister made Tyler and I the most delicious 4 tiered cake for our wedding in March by the beach. The cake turned out to be exactly what we wanted… layers of Almond, Strawberry Shortcake, Cookies and Cream, and Marble covered in the most delicious buttercream frosting. The cake was moist and had fantastic flavoring. We received so many compliments on how tasty the cake was. The Almond was a hit, for sure! We wanted our cake to be covered in chocolate covered strawberries flowing down the side and have them around the base, and Evelyn was able to deliver it exactly how we wanted it!!! Our florist gave us some succulents to dress it up and we had our cute cake toppers on it as well. SO beautiful. And what is a great little treat is that they will bake us a free cake on the 1 year anniversary of our wedding! Can’t wait for it. We fully recommend cakes by Unique Sweets and Accessories!

We got married on Thanksgiving weekend, because of the date many vendors we spoke to gave us a hard time, but not Evelyn from Unique Sweets. She made the whole tasting experience a great one. She didn't pressure us into booking her and we felt very comfortable at the place from start to finish. From the initial tasting to the follow up calls before the wedding, she made sure that we did not have to worry about anything. Not only was the cake pretty but it tasted amazing! We had the almond cake and red velvet both were to die for! Overall great experience and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an awesome experience. - The Stevens

After tasting their cake at a wedding show over a year ago I knew that this was the place that was going to make my wedding cake. At the show I tasted their almond cake and it was great. It was very moist and just delicious. When I went in for my tasting I had the almond cake again and it was just as delicious as when I tasted it over a year ago. We had 4 different flavors of cupcakes at my wedding and they were all a big hit and went fast!

Evelyn at Unique Sweets was amazing. I met her at a chance meeting trying on wedding dresses and upon eating one of her cake push pops I was sold that these would be at our wedding. Evelyn worked with us on all of our needs and the cake and stand was so stunning and beautiful. The cake pops were always consistently delicious and we received so many compliments. I would highly recommend Evelyn and Unique Sweets to anyone for any cake needs!

Unique Sweets created the most delicious cake ever!! Everyone loved our push pop cakes and thought it was soo creative! The style of the cake was great and the taste was even better! They were also very organized and responsive and i'd highly recommend them! Especially if you want your cake to taste as good as it looks! I've been to several weddings and they may look great but they don't taste very good. Oh an they provide up-lighting for your wedding cake so added plus!

My husband and I met Evelyn at the Norfolk Scope at a Bridal Show in the spring of 2013. I was truly amazed at her display of tier push up cakes, but was kind of leary since she was just starting her business. I was unsure if I wanted to use someone that really had not built a reputation. What I did know was that her idea was very unique. I took a chance on her and she "did not" let us down. She was very professional, returned every single call in a timely manner, she followed up as she promised she would and was on time as schedule for her set-up of our wedding.. Our guest raved about her display and a few asked for her number. I absolutely recommend her for any event you are considering. You won't be sorry!

Evelyn and Summer do the cake pop tiers which were 132 for our wedding. They are layered cake with filling and icing. We had 10 different flavors! She went above and beyond for our wedding! The guests had never seen such an odd way of presenting a cake. No plates or utensils needed! It was awesome! She is worth checking into!

I highly recommend Unique Sweets for wedding cakes. Evelyn was very pleasant to work with and helped coming up with ideas for my wedding cake and cupcakes. Her cakes are very flavorful and moist...I have been to other vendors whose cakes taste dry shortly after they're made. Excellent value for the price as well. She definitely came through by delivering the cake on time and beautifully displayed with the cupcakes. Even the day after, people were scrambling to get some of the leftover cupcakes. The only thing I wish for is improved communication. I understand as a small business, things can get busy, but it can be a bit challenging to get in touch with the owner sometimes via e-mail or business phone. I would definitely recommend this vendor to others. Thanks for making my wedding GREAT!

Everything was perfect. My guests are raving about how good the cupcakes were. They were so moist and tasted great. Communication was a little slow at first but it's only 2 ladies and the times I visted the shop it was busy but they still managed to help everyone and they were nice. I would use them again and I can't wait to get my anniversary cake next year!

Our cake was delicious! The 2 sisters are both great and very helpful. I changed my mind a few times about what it is that I wanted and they were both very patient with me. The cake was awesome and all of my guests loved it. The pricing was good as well and less expensive than some other places I visited. I would recommend them to anyone as the cake was very moist and delicious!

Evelyn did such a fabulous job. I told her that we wanted cupcakes for guests, and a small 2 tier cake for us to cut and then keep. I told her our theme was nautical, she sent me some photo ideas, I sent her some photo ideas, and then I let her have free reign. I was blown away by how on point Evelyn's creation was in relation to my vision. Her cakes are delicious, and the display was beautiful. I would highly recommend her.

Evelyn was really sweet and delivered an amazing cake! It was delicious and looked truly unique in our lime green and blue colors. She did a great job of working with me and making sure that we were happy. There were a couple of times I had a minor panic attack based on some of our emails back and forth and us not being on the same page but in the end, the cake turned out to be amazing and exactly what we were looking for. I definitely suggest her for brides on a budget, though the cakes are still pretty expensive. (that's kind of to be expected but Unique Sweets is lower priced than most everywhere else).

Our wedding cake and cake push ups were simply amazing! They were fresh and delicious. It was also a great value because we used our cake push ups as wedding favors. Our guests loved the presentation of the pops and we loved the unique concept. It is also a great added perk that Unique Accessories will provide you with a mini anniversary cake. We didn't want to freeze our cake. This perk was a great addition. The overall rating is a low because most of the time it was quite challenging to get in contact with the owners, which can be stressful for a bride. However, we recognize the challenges of small businesses and would refer them to others.
