Best Photographer at his Craft and as a Person

Tyler is the best photographer in every single way you can imagine. He is super nice and professional and makes you feel completely at-ease when taking photos. Posing for photos is not always natural, and Tyler is so good at directing you as a couple, that he gets the BEST photos, emotions, and angles.

One thing that drew me to Tyler's work initially was the emotion he was able to capture in anything he shoots. I loved not only the looks he got from my fiance and I, but the photos he got of my family and friends. I really feel like he captured so many beautiful moments early on in the night, as well as the crazier moments on the dance floor late night. (I have years worth of Instagram content, truly.)

Tyler also edits things super fast and is great at communicating. He started sending us beautifully edited photos TWO DAYS after our ceremony, which I feel was unheard of.

Finally, I just want to say I feel like he went above and beyond in every sense--including things that were not technically within his job, like making sure I was able to eat during the reception or making sure the groomsmen were already at the church when the bridesmaids left, so we would not run into each other before the ceremony. He truly cares about his couples and wants them to have an amazing experience on their wedding day.

Tyler is one of the best there is in his craft and as a person! Do not hesitate to book him, we have so many memories that will last a lifetime and then some!

Best Photographer in Jacksonville!

Originally my now-husband and I almost went with a cheap photographer, and I'm SO GLAD we went with Tyler! Yes, he was more expensive than a "budget photographer", but his quality of photographs is so worth it! First off, Tyler helped us feel relaxed and have fun during our wedding photoshoot. My husband and I are both camera shy, and Tyler somehow managed to make us laugh, feel relaxed, and actually wish the photo session went on longer! And he delivered all 800 photographs to us digitally just 10 days after the wedding. The photos are PHENOMENAL, and we are going to enjoy them for years to come. I cannot recommend his work enough. If you're on the fence about spending money on a true professional photographer, do it! The pictures of your wedding memories are worth it

Amazing pictures! Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Tyler Mackenzie Photography!! Tyler knows exactly what he’s doing when it comes to placing people, getting a large crowd together, taking AMAZING shots, and doing it all in a timely manner. He was responsive over email, kept me up to date, made suggestions, and was extremely easy to get along with. He made my husband and I and our wedding party feel comfortable during the entire day. I received the online folder of retouched pictures in just over a week and they are spectacular! I’ve received so many compliments from wedding guests, co-workers, friends and family on how great our pictures turned out! One thing he kept mentioning before our big day was to be natural and don’t try to copy someone else’s photos you find online. He was absolutely right! Be natural, trust his creativity and your pictures will be stunning!

Tuesday Wedding at Walker’s Landing

Awesome Job!

Tyler was AMAZING! He did our engagement shoot and the wedding pictures. We could not be happier with both! Tyler gets the pictures to you so quickly! We were still on our honeymoon when we received our wedding pictures. Tyler did such and awesome job. I would definitely recommend him to friends and would love to work with him in the future. Whenever I show the pictures people say how wonderful they look and how our photographer did such a great job! He made it very easy and he is so great to work with! Thank you Tyler!

Beyond wonderful

I am actually not comfortable having my photo taken but Tyler was a total pro. He captured so many wonderfully candid photos and when we were doing portraits, he put everyone at ease. His ability to harness natural light is phenomenal and he is easily one of the best value photographers you can find. I received my photos within 8 days of our wedding (like how??) and am absolutely in love with all the happiness he captured from our day!

Tyler is amazing!! He is laid back and easy to work with. He listened to everything we wanted and did such an amazing job. He even provided us with so many great ideas that I never thought of (like our bubble exit from the ceremony)! Everything was beautiful and he did a wonderful job capturing every moment.

We're so incredibly lucky that we found Tyler! We had reached out to another photographer (Nicole Piper), who was booked… but she gave a glowing recommendation for Tyler. Once we saw his portfolio and learned more about his experience, we were immediately sold.

We hired Tyler and his wife, Cailey, to shoot our wedding day. They’re very funny, chill and down-to-earth… the perfect vendors to work with when you’re under a little stress. Their presence immediately put me at ease, which is ideal when you want to look relaxed and happy on your wedding day. Tyler gave a lot of helpful tips to ensure that my now-husband and I would look like amazing in our photos. These pointers were much appreciated, as we can make some pretty awkward faces and poses from time to time.

Tyler and Cailey captured every special moment: bridal party getting ready, bridal party dressed to the nines, the first look (SO GRATEFUL WE DID THIS), the ceremony, the family portraits, the reception and the sparkler send-off. They didn’t miss a beat! They even managed to capture an impromptu push-up contest (not sure how that got started).

We received our photos in less than 2 weeks. They are BEAUTIFUL! I’m so impressed by the photos… especially for the value! Tyler was so incredibly affordable compared to some of the other photographers we encountered. But the experience and final product were easily worth double what we paid. And the memories he captured are PRICELESS. Thank you, Tyler and Cailey!

We are so happy we had Tyler photograph our wedding! He made the experience easy, relaxing, and enjoyable! He was great to work with! He captured every special candid moment! Best investment we made in our wedding, by far!! we loved all of our vendors but the professionalism and talent that Tyler has along with the affordability was more than i could have ever imagined. My wedding party had a great time with Tyler, he was easy to talk to and make taking photos a breeze. We wanted more lifestyle, "in the moment" pictures rather than the typical posed wedding photos and that is something Tyler specializes in. Not to sound arrogant, but our photos are beautiful - and its 100% due to Tyler's talent. I would recommend tyler for any personal photography that is needing done.

We loved every part of our experience! From the booking, through the engagement photos, to the wedding day, Tyler delivered amazing results. He made us feel like friends hanging out instead of a nerve-filled photo shoot. The photos are magazine worthy!! He caught the emotion and love between us so naturally. Tyler was very easy to work with! We are so happy with our pictures. My family even mentioned how well he blended into the background and did not disrupt anyone's point of view during the ceremony and different points in the reception. He was very professional, very nice and everyone loved him. I do not like getting my picture taken and I am not very photogenic but not only was I completely comfortable during the pictures, they turned out perfect, better than I could have imagined! We are so happy with Tyler and his services and highly recommend him!

Tyler photographed 2 weddings that I was in prior to my own, so I knew I had to use him. He is a talented artist with gorgeous photos! He's great at capturing moments in addition to staged photos from a shot list, which was important to us. He takes the time to get to know you as a couple and what is important to you on your big day so he can really deliver. I highly recommend him, he's a steal for what he charges and we couldn't be happier with our wedding day photos!

Tyler was a perfect fit for our wedding. We didn't have unlimited funds for photography, but it was still really important to us to get beautiful photos from our day. In came Tyler! He is so easygoing and willing to work with you to get you the coverage/hours you want for your big day. And he makes every minute of it count! I've only seen preview pictures so far, but each one has been incredible and truly a work of art.

We met with Tyler for coffee to meet him and immediately booked him. We then changed our minds a dozen times on what package/# of hours we wanted, and Tyler was very patient with us. We had a prep call a week or two before the wedding and then he let me know the morning of that he was on his way, which was very relieving as a bride.

It was also 100 degrees on our wedding day and poor Tyler was probably having a heat stroke as he took wedding party pictures outside the church before the wedding. But he was in great spirits, making jokes and extremely patient. He was a phenomenal one-man show, and we were so appreciative of his talent.

We're so excited to get the rest of our photos and relive our day. If you want a dedicated, hardworking photographer who's extremely talented and has a great sense of humor, Tyler is your man!

We have booked Tyler for our November wedding because he came highly recommended. So far he has been wonderful to work with and he seems to really care about his work rather than just wanting to charge people crazy amounts like many other photographers I spoke to. Tyler Mackenzie Photography was more than we could have hoped for as our wedding photographer. Our wedding was in Winter Park, FL at the Farmers Market and from the beginning, the process was seamless and fun. Tyler really took the time to get to know myself and my husband before our big day, so that pictures would be fun and natural. We didn't have to think of ideas or places to take pictures because Tyler has such a brilliant eye for locations. I couldn't believe the quality of the photos and will cherish them forever. He did a great job capturing us as a couple and our personalities as well as our guests having a blast at our reception. The photos were sent electronically as well as in a perfect little packaged disc that arrived at our doorstep shortly after the wedding. I highly recommend Tyler Mackenzie Photography!

I absolutely love Tyler for shooting both our engagement and wedding photos. We actually hired someone prior to them but once we received our engagement photos we were not completely satisfied. Then we met with Tyler and he EXCEEDED our expectations with just our engagement shoot. Tyler has such great spirit and true passion to his work and it really shows through his photos. Tyler was prompt in providing us service and we look forward to seeing our wedding photos and video! We would definitely work with them again in the near future!

Every bride wants photos of her wedding day to be the very best and with Tyler Mackenzie Photography I received the very BEST wedding photos! Tyler and his wife were wonderful on my wedding day. They arrived early and ready to work. While my bridesmaids and I got ready, they immediately took photos of all the details (dresses, shoes, jewelry, gifts, invitations, etc.). Every photo from the decor to our getting ready photos to the first look and the ceremony and reception are perfect. Tyler captured everything that I wanted him to on my wedding day. We just got our wedding photos back and could not be happier that we chose Tyler Mackenzie to shoot our engagement and wedding photos. Tyler was the best!! He came strongly recommended by a friend of mine who got married last year and I am so glad I was able to book him before he filled up (and he did!). Tyler took amazing engagement photos of us, was quick to send us our photos and stayed in touch until it was time for the wedding. He answered all my questions and helped me decide what was most important to me in day-of photos. I had some minor issues with other vendors/family that day but he stayed calm, and more importantly, helped me stay calm! I could not imagine this day without him (and his wife, who helped take back-up photos and work on the lighting) and would recommend him to my closest friends!

i wish i could put into words how much i appreciated tyler and his wife cailey. the most wonderful photography experience i could have asked for, hands down.
drove down from jacksonville to orlando to meet with us almost a year ago, showed us his portfolio and explained what kind of photographer he is. i was blown away with how relaxed and comfortable he was with us, no pressure to book. we decided to book him a few days later because of how comfortable we felt and obviously the gorgeous photography speaks for itself
the day of the wedding a lot of logistical things went haywire (first location for pictures wasn't going to be open) but they both just rolled with it and found ways around it. showed up ready to dive in. they both are funny and personable and made everyone feel so at ease. you can tell in the photos that the smiles are natural and that everyone was having such a good time. we had no idea how to pose or what faces to make and cailey and tyler totally positioned us and told us what to do. even showed us some of the pictures after he shot them so that we could see what he was seeing through the lens.
THREE (!!) days after the wedding we got a three picture sneak peek and they turned out INCREDIBLE. my entire family was blown away with how they turned out. i'm still beaming.
i've been a bridesmaid in four weddings and tyler mackenzie photography is the best photographer i could have worked with. my entire bridal party felt so comfortable with them and i could not be happier.

When we first met Tyler my then fiance was very skeptical. Being a photographer himself he was beyond particular. But after just a few minutes in a coffee shop we knew Tyler was perfect for us! Funny, personable, and professional, the only regret was that we didn't upgrade our package! It would have been a blast to have him longer at our wedding!! He'll be doing all our family photography in the future too. I cannot recommend him enough! Our photos turned out to be the most amazing I've seen in a while. From engagement to wedding he made it memorable. 10 stars to Tyler!!!

Tyler and his wife, Cailie, are head and shoulders the BEST wedding vendor we had for numerous reasons.

Tyler is a genuinely a great person and is super easy to work with, even if you have weird requests or distant locations for your event.

He was able to suggest a SUPER great engagement photo location that was not on our radars but completely blew our expectations out of the water! (Washington Oaks Park in Palm Coast)

On the day of the wedding, the bridal party was at two separate locations leading up to the wedding but that wasn't an issue for Tyler and his wife. Tyler took the bride and Cailie captured images for the groom from early in the morning until almost midnight.

I couldn't have been more pleased with our choice of Tyler as our photographer and we already have referred him to friends and family. He's a no brainer for all your photography needs!

Tyler did a great job! We are really, really pleased with our wedding pictures. Also, we received a link to view our pictures about two weeks after our wedding and a CD through the mail about a week after that. Several of our guest commented during and after the wedding how nice and professional Tyler was. He even brought us a plate of snacks while we were waiting for all of our guest to park at the reception venue. We couldn't have found a better person to capture our perfect day for us. Tyler is easily the best bang for your buck in the North Florida area. He is laid-back, professional, and very talented. We were originally drawn to Tyler for his lower prices, but quickly realized that, as a bonus, his photos were truly amazing. We have heard nothing but good things from our friends and family who have seen our photos and he makes it easy by giving you access to an online album and a CD of the photos. I would highly recommend Tyler to anyone getting married in the area!

Tyler and his wife Are an amazing team! I loved working with Tyler for our engagement photos and I enjoyed even more getting to work with both of them at our wedding! Tyler is a gifted photographer and wonderful to work with. He took both our engagement and wedding photos and both came out fantastic! He has an easy going personality, but was also very professional and his style of photography was exactly what we were looking for. I would highly recommend him to any couple getting married.

I've watched Tyler's portfolio over the months before my wedding and he has a keen eye for a great shot. His photography is just beautiful. So I was excited to see how my Sunday morning 8 AM wedding would come out - the day was perfect, the light was perfect and Tyler really brought out the special moments to my wedding. He caught all the details and got all the right pictures. Best of all, he did whatever was necessary for the right shots. My stepdad said he followed Tyler around so he could see the best angles etc for the photos. HAHA. He is exceedingly nice to work with and after having talked to several other photographers before hiring him, I felt he was more concerned with making beautiful moments of my wedding than just getting a paycheck. I HIGHLY recommend him for any event, I know he works all over Florida. Although I didn't know him before my wedding, if any other event comes along, mine or someone else's he is the person I will call.

Tyler did an amazing job and was very professional for the wedding! He went out of his way to everything that we asked him to do and even more!! Tyler even made sure no "unwanted" family or friends interrupted the picture time after the ceremony. He also made several arrangements to meet with us prior to the wedding date so he knew exactly what we wanted and to get to know us before just shooting photos. Would have him again anytime!! Tyler blew my mind with his photos. If you're looking for an Orlando wedding photographer that is affordable, punctual, creative, and talented, look no further. My guests were WOWED when they saw the gorgeous photos. He didn't waste precious time on our day by taking millions of posed photos like I've seen photographers do in the past. Tyler did an amazing job photographing my wedding. Pictures were sent to me very soon after my wedding. Any unique ideas i wanted him to photograph, he did. Very easy to work with and open to my suggestions. The pricing was reasonable without giving up quality. Communication was constant to ensure i got all the pictures and guest in pictures that i wanted.

We loved working with Tyler! He has a terrific eye and captured our special day perfectly. Not to mention he's really fast at getting you back your pictures - I already have mine and our wedding was only 2 weeks ago! They look great and we're getting tons of compliments. Tyler Mackenzie Photography was the one of the BEST decisions that I made for my wedding. Pictures were extremely important to me, and I wanted to have someone who had an artistic eye to make my photos special. He truly did an amazing job on our pictures. I love each and every shot. Tyler was incredible. He really captured the elegance and all of the special moments of our wedding. I met Tyler at a Jax Bridal expo (which I was begrudgingly dragged to), but I am so glad I went because we talked for a while and I really liked his style. He was willing to travel down to Tampa/St. Pete for our wedding, which was perfect because I hadn't found any local photographers that I quite 'clicked' with. Tyler and I were able to meet a few weeks before the wedding to discuss the shot list and finalize details. On the day of, we couldn't have fetp more relaxed and comfortable, and he worked very well with our videographer, which helped the flow of the day. I only wish my budget had allotted him more time to stay and capture more of the reception! If I could go back, I would muster up the money somehow, but regardless, Tyler and his work are worth every last penny. Thanks Tyler!

Tyler did an AMAZING job with our wedding photos. They turned out beautifully. He was very easy and fun to work with on the wedding day (my husband describes him as the "type of guy he'd enjoy having a beer with."). He was very patient and go-with-the-flow, and worked with my timeline flawlessly. I had made a list of "must take" photos (which was very helpful), and he took the time to review it with me and make sure that we had gotten everything that I wanted. We got our wedding pictures back very quickly (about 2 weeks after the wedding). He was a bit slow to respond to emails at times, but he always responded within a week or so. I HIGHLY recommend him!

Not many grooms leave reviews on here, but I must say that Tyler and his wife are outstanding. They are very comfortable people to be around, and you'll end up feeling like you're being photographed by close friends (who just happen to be professional photographers). They're great people to work with and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent photographer.

Tyler was awesome! He kept up with the timeline, had great ideas, and helped kick out some pre-wedding crashers! He was really chill and helped keep the environment calm. I didn't notice him during the ceremony, which is great. Nobody likes that photographer blocking the view. He was traveling and moving a lot, so sometimes email responses were delayed but everything worked out perfectly. We can't wait to get our photos!

Tyler was phenomenal to work with and is very passionate about what he does. As a person who doesn't typically enjoy having my picture taken, Tyler knew the best ways to get me out of my shell and relax. Despite some weather hiccups with both our engagement session and wedding, Tyler was reassuring and very go with the flow. The turn around time for receiving our photos was prompt but did not lack in quality. We were pleased with the moments Tyler was able to capture and would strongly recommend him.

Tyler was AWESOME at our wedding! He captured perfect moments like out first look and the ceremony. Anything I asked for was taken into account and I loved our pictures! He even included a large print that we display in our living room. He was very flexible with staying a little over our scheduled time to get our farewell. If I had to sum up Tyler Mackenzie Photography with one word - AMAZING! He was very adamant that we "click" with his photographic style. We met several times before the wedding to talk and get to know each other. He was very flexible with what we were requesting for photos and locations. The day of, he was extremely reliable and very kind and patience in getting our large families to cooperate. His unique style was very real and down to earth, just beautiful shots!!! We love them! As a bride after going over expectations for the big day, I would not to have to direct the day of.
I paid for a second shooter solving 1 in 2 places at once..which is what I received; however, that seemed like the only job the second shooter did! There was minimal photos from the second shooter after the before ceremony photos w/ the groom & his family. No photos from during the cocktail hour. & she appeared to have left after dinner was served doing hardly any work during the reception. (she was to work till 7pm, Tyler till 8pm)I did my very best to end everything on time even if that meant our reception was cut short or rushed. I was given Tyler's word during my getting ready session, which I admit was hectic & rushed, that we would get photos w/ my girls later on & I assumed would get some single shots by myself and some w/ my mom who was not there before. After walking down the aisle I was doing my best to be in the moment, not distracted by other issues/remembering things. We did a bride and groom shoot between ceremony & reception in a timely manner w/ Tyler. By the end of the night & days following I was so upset I never got photos with my girls other than church uniform photos & not a SINGLE photo just my MOM and I. It wasn't my job to ask for them & I was never directed by him to take them so I put that on Tyler. I was disappointed w/ some of our collection, hardly any photos of my mom period & my mil was as popular as me, I had out of town guests-no photos of. My husband personally asked him to apologize to my mother for the lack of photos & that she & I don't have one. For the 2x he didn't do what he said he would. 3 months later my mom still never received an apology (simple request) She paid for our photography, not like I asked for a refund. Just sucks. LOVE the photos we have just expected more from a second shooter & the common must have photos. Doing a recreation w/ my mom whenever I have time/$ to do one- she's my MOM- we deserve photos together.

We were disappointed that not more pictures we wanted weren't taken. For example, flower girls throwing flowers should be a given that a photographer takes but we have no pictures of that moment. Also, no pictures were taken of our reception venue so we can never look back on how beautiful it was. Very typical, normal and "no-brainier" pictures at a wedding were not captured at ours at all how we wanted. We felt disappointed after receiving our CD and looking through our pictures.

I was very excited to have Tyler do our wedding photos, but I was highly disappointed with the outcome. He did not use the beautiful venue as he should have and failed to capture a lot of special moments. We only received two photos of the wedding party, both very far away. Bridal portraits and pictures with my husband were very few and far between. The majority of what I got back was the same group of people dancing at the reception. There are no pictures of family, and he refused to take any suggestions as far as different locations on the property to take pictures. To top it off, I never received the prints that were agreed upon in our contract after I requested them. Only a few images were edited. I still cry about our wedding photos, as I don't feel like anything special was captured to remember that amazing day, and it's not something we can go back and redo. I've seen him do amazing work, but I did not see it with our photos.
