We decided to hire a string quartet relatively late and were very grateful Two Rivers was available on the date of our wedding. They were so easy to work with. They had a great repertoire of music to play for the prelude of our ceremony, and we provided the music for our two processional songs, which they executed flawlessly. They were so professional, communicative, and clearly know what they're doing, adapting on the fly to lengthen our processional songs since our walks took longer than expected! They definitely helped make our ceremony special.

Wonderful addition to our wedding
Two Rivers provided wonderful music for our wedding ceremony. They were professional and easy to work with throughout the whole process. We worked with them to choose a mix of classical favorites and string covers of modern songs, and they were flexible in allowing us as much or as little control over the song selection as we wanted. They were also happy to learn a song outside of their repertoire for our processional, which we were thrilled to hear. We would happily recommend them for your event!

One of the highlights of our wedding
We booked a quartet from Two Rivers Chamber Music for our wedding. Michael was extremely responsive throughout the planning process and gave lots of helpful feedback. Just what you're looking for
As a wedding videographer, I've been present for Two Rivers Chamber Music on multiple occasions, and every time it's a delight. Some couples don't mind a music track just playing through a speaker for their ceremony, but I'd prefer listening to this groups live music any day of the week. We hired Twin Rivers Chamber Music for our wedding in August 2024, Matthew and Michael were amazing throughout the whole process. They are both very knowledgeable and professional, they also gave great music recommendations for our day. We had spotty weather the day of our wedding and they were able to quickly change from an indoor ceremony to outdoor before guests arrived and were were able to have the ceremony of our dreams! Magical Strings for our Wedding
Two Rivers Chamber Music is a must have at any wedding! They recently played at our Wedding Ceremony at Stone Tower Winery and had everyone in tears with their beautiful renditions of songs such as 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' and 'Canon in D'. Their strings filled the space so beautifully and created such a personal, intimate setting for our ceremony. They then continued on to play during our Cocktail Hour where they were able to so easily switch from the formality of the ceremony to the light, excitable atmosphere of Cocktail Hour. They have an endless repertoire, and were able to work with us to craft a playlist to perfectly fit the mood of the evening. We would highly recommend Two Rivers Chamber Music for any occasion especially when looking to make a memorable impression on the night.

Amazing String Quartet for Wedding Ceremony
We booked Two Rivers Chamber Music as our string quartet and also for the audio sound system for our wedding ceremony on July 30, 2023. We were very particular about the sound and style of music for our ceremony so it was really important for us to find a string quartet we felt really good about. We listened to numerous string quartets during our research and felt Two Rivers Chamber Music was the sound we were looking for. Their team was extremely helpful during the planning process and assisted in helping us go through the timeline and our song choices. They were extremely responsive and happy to answer any questions.
The wedding day finally came and Two Rivers Chamber Music delivered in every way. The music sounded so beautiful and brought out all the emotions of our ceremony. The musicians are extremely talented and they played our song choices precisely how we wanted them to. We added amplification to the strings since our ceremony was outdoors and they sounded fantastic and everybody could hear the music. The sound system used for our officiant and for us sounded great and worked really well as all our guests were able to hear the ceremony loud and clear. For context, we had 183 guests at our outdoor ceremony and both the strings with amplification and the words we and our officiant spoke during our ceremony were heard extremely well by all our guests. Overall, Two Rivers Chamber Music was fantastic and did a great job of setting the mood for our ceremony and making it feel like such an extremely emotional and beautiful experience for everyone. If you are looking for a string quartet for your wedding ceremony, we would highly recommend booking Two Rivers Chamber Music.

The coolest, calmest, and most professional!
Two Rivers was cool, calm, and collected while we were busy wondering how in the heck our wedding timeline was going to come together in time! With a timeline with a lot of detail, and a large wedding bridal party, Two-Rivers made sure to hit every mark, even when they didn’t technically get every cue from us, they made it work in the best way! We had some random songs back and forth that were newer and modern and they accommodated every request perfectly. The violin with cello music made many of our guests cry and even giggle a little as we had a couple of cool songs from movie series thrown in! It was a great time with great music for such a wonderful ceremony and we haven’t had our guest stop talking about it yet and it’s already been two days! Simply beautiful, and simply wonderful, if you need a recommendation for what to do for your wedding, Two-Rivers Chamber music is the best option, it just is!

We are so happy that we were able to work with 2 Rivers Chambers for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The planning process was super easy and Michael was so patient with us as we figured out our songs and provided so much insight and advice which was great. We went with the quartet and were so happy with the music. We had so many guests specifically mention the strings and how cool it was to have them at the cocktail hour, especially since the cocktail hour was mostly popular songs. He hired two rivers chamber without much of an idea as to what music we wanted for the ceremony. They helped us pick our music based on the vision we had for the ceremony. They handled all of our ceremony audio which was perfect for our larger venue. During the pre ceremony and ceremony they played a beautiful combination of classical and fairytale music. My dad and I have had a shared love of Tolkien my entire life. Hearing the most perfect version of concerning hobbits as he walked me down the isle will forever be one of my most cherished memories. Two Rivers Chamber Music was a perfect addition to our ceremony and cocktail hour. Having them play as a live string quartet made the day unforgettable! Their sound is incredible, and they can play almost anything! They make it really easy by providing a list of songs they can play and suggest for the occasion. You will be hard pressed to find another vendor that is easier to work with. We also liked how they arranged precursory phone calls with us to check in and make sure our playlist was read. They even helped us with questions we had, based on their experience, like how long certain songs should be played during the ceremony walk-ins based on how many bridesmaids and groomsmen there are, etc. Thank you so much for making our day special!

Highly recommend working with Two Rivers Chamber Music for your live music needs. We really wanted a string quartet to play our ceremony and cocktail hour, specifically with a mix of game and film music amidst more traditional pieces. Two Rivers delivered PERFECTLY. Our guests loved them and had more than a few people tell me they wished the quartet could have stayed longer. They had so much fun recognizing songs they weren't expecting. Matthew was so easy to work with as well. He and Beth were communicative and helpful and really took all the stress out of the process. I cannot recommend them more highly. Matthew is very well-spoken and professional, almost as if he had a noble upbringing. There were plenty of other string quartets that were more affordable, but after comparing their repertoires and speaking to Matthew over the phone, I knew Two Rivers Chamber would not let us down. A wedding is a special occasion so do not hesitate to hire the best.
My only recommendation is that Matthew gets a new phone or headset. Call quality was always 7/10 at best.

Easy to work with, flexible (we postponed due to COVID!), and SO TALENTED playing almost any song you'd think to request!
Two Rivers is SO TALENTED! Michael and Emma played our wedding ceremony as a strings duet (cello and violin), and Two Rivers hired out a pianist to do our cocktail hour. Every musician played their instrument beautifully and were able to play every song requested. During cocktail hour, we had people tilting their head at the piano and asking, is that Adele?? My wife and I agree that if we could return to a single moment from our wedding, it'd be to hear At Last while we walked down the aisle. They are #1 reason I regret not getting a videographer. I should also add, they were extremely flexible when we had to postpone due to COVID, and when we had several other minor time changes regarding the day's itinerary. We didn't make it easy on them, but they were unfailingly gracious and day-of, prompt! THANK YOU, Two Rivers!

I can not recommend Two Rivers Chamber Music more highly. Michael was an absolute pleasure to work with and was extremely responsive. After being presented with the different packages at different price points I chose to move forward with having a string trio for both our ceremony and cocktail hour. Two Rivers also provided the amplification for our officiant. Two Rivers has an incredible song selection with options ranging from classic to more modern pop. This incredible song selection really allowed me to customize a playlist that was really exciting for me and guests alike. I still get tears thinking about how magical the string quartet made our wedding rehearsal dinner. Our guest are still talking about that evening, and were in awe of the talents of the team. The quartet travelled to Salisbury, MD for our rehearsal and graced us with music for about 4 hours. We cannot recommend the services of Two Rivers enough! Working with Michael to scheduled the quartet was easy and they accommodated several of our music requests. Thank you so much!

Musical perfection that made our wedding magical
Two Rivers String quartet was absolutely amazing. Not only did they heighten the setting, but they also provided the beautiful ambiance that musically far impressed everyone in attendance. If I could have two rivers chamber music at every event I would! Our experience with Michael and Matthew was nothing short of perfect. They were always an absolute pleasure to work with. The string quartet sounded so great and made the wedding so beautiful. Both Matthew and Michael were helpful in suggestions for songs and even looked into new songs for our cocktail hour. I wish that I could have had more time to listen to them play since everything sounded so great. Definitly am going to recommend them to everyone!

You should hire them. I'm not generally one to rave on reviews, but truthfully I only have great things to say about Two Rivers Chamber Music. Not only did they add that element of elegance and beauty that we so wanted to our wedding, but they were amazing to work with. Our play list had to be scrapped and totally reworked due to the priest being a little more old school than we had originally thought. Matt worked closely with us, the priest, and the music director to help us figure it out. All while keeping the heart and feeling of what we had wanted in focus. Thank you so much! We got to hear our song! I would hire Matt and his team again in a second.

We booked Two Rivers Chambers Music for our microwedding and reception and cannot say enough good things! They were so communicative and professional and the music was unbelievable. I was impressed at how they thought of all aspects of the wedding that needed music and made sure we liked the arrangements style. They thought of everything. People cannot stop talking about how great the music was!
Two River's performed the ceremony music for my wedding and we were blown away! Matt was so friendly and easy to work with. When we first reached out about processing he responded within a few hours (days faster than a lot of other options!) and offered a lot of different options to help find something that would work with our budget. As we progressed with the planning he had plenty of helpful tips to keep things running smoothly. We had them play a medley of popular music while guests were being seated and then 2 popular music processionals (A Million Years and I See the Light) and a popular music recessional (Viva La Vida). we have received SO MANY compliments on the musicians since the wedding!! and i'm not surprised, the music was absolutely beautiful!! On top of that I had a few minutes before guests arrived to meet two of our three musicians and they were such kind people to top it of! would 100% recommend!!

Wonderful music and communication
Two Rivers Chamber Music played at our outdoor ceremony and indoor cocktail hour. We opted for the string trio and were very happy with our choice. We were also very impressed with how professional they were. Matthew was so helpful and communicative as we went back and forth a few times with which songs we wanted. He even set up a call with us a week before to make sure everything would go smoothly, which we wish some of our other vendors had done. Couldn't recommend them more!

We are so very pleased with the service offered by this lovely group of talented musicians. They added a classy touch to our reception dinner, played Indian music and American music which our guests loved, were highly organized, and very responsive! We were so excited to have Two Rivers Chamber Music at our wedding. They did a fabulous job. Hire them, you won't regret it!
We had a 75 person wedding and chose the quartet for 2 hours no amplifier to do the ceremony and cocktail hour.
They did a fantastic job. The musicians are amazing. They have such a wide range of options for songs. We also specifically requested some songs that were not on their list and they found sheet music for it and played those as well. Guests were raving about how good they were and had fun trying to guess what the songs were. One of the guests even got their card and are going to hire them to play during their entire wedding!
They are easy to work with and they were VERY flexible with us, even when we had to change our wedding date and location (to a different state even), because of COVID.

The Perfect Ceremony Music
Two Rivers was an absolutely beautiful addition to our wedding. We postponed our wedding 4 times due to covid, and Two Rivers changed right along with us with no issues. They were extremely flexible and wonderful to work with. We had the 4 string quartet for our ceremony, and it was wonderful. I walked down the aisle to "Here Comes the Sun" and it felt like a dream. I cannot say enough about this wonderful team!! Not only did they excel at the basic stuff (the consultation, booking, and communication), but they were truly open and willing to making the ceremony and music what we wanted.
We are immensely touched that they allowed our son (a budding violinist, with 9 months of experience) to play our first dance song along with them! They sent the song notes to him months prior to, met with him beforehand the day of, and practiced the song with him a couple of times, giving him notes of adjustments. During the first dance song, their lead violinist, Rebecca, really acted as a mentor, guiding him through a challenging song for his level, and making that experience unforgettable for him and for everyone there. We will never forget the impact of their presence and for allowing our son to be involved in such a special moment for us.
Their talent, range, and professionalism is awe worthy. They transformed our elopement into a wedding and we are so glad we booked them for our day.

Wonderful Music!
We are so happy we hired Two Rivers Chamber Music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. We had to reschedule our wedding a few times due to COVID. They were so supportive and flexible during the process! All of our guests loved the background music as they mingled before the ceremony. The songs we picked sounded so beautiful as everyone walked down the aisle. During cocktail hour they played upbeat music and really set the tone of the rest of the wedding. BOOK THEM! If you are on the fence about booking Two Rivers Chamber Music, let this be the sign to help you make your decision. They are incredibly talented, their song list is extensive and the responsiveness of the team to answer questions was incredibly quick. We hired them for our cocktail hour and reception and it was seriously one of the best vendor decisions we made. They even let me cousin who is a professional violist play a couple songs with them which was incredibly special for me on my big day. Advice: book with amplification if your party is outside! I'd honestly hire them again in a heartbeat for another occasion. Their talent is impressive!

Incredible musicians - take it from me, I'm one too!
Wow. Where to begin. I guess with the most important thing. I would 100% recommend Two Rivers! They learned two new pieces of music just for my wedding, and played it flawlessly. You can find my ceremony on YouTube (search "Claire and Earl" and we should be the first link) to hear them live. You'll be impressed. Watch when I enter - they learned that song that is playing for my special day! From my entire ceremony, my mother, who is incredibly picky when it comes to all things her daughters, could not stop raving about the music. They did great. Rachel, one of the musicians, even drove from an hour away, to rehearse with us. They have an extensive song list, from classics to pop music. Hire them. And be wowed!

The quartet played at my daughters wedding cocktail hour and ceremony. Michael was responsive with every step of the planning. He was flexible when we changed from just the cocktail hour to playing for the ceremony also. The music was lovely the sound was great and it was flawless. Amazing string quartet!
Two Rivers Chamber Music was amazing! We hired them for our original wedding date, which unfortunately was postponed, but they had no problems rescheduling us and were very accommodating. We spoke to them a few times regarding songs and they were extremely friendly and helpful in making those choices. The day of the wedding they were on time, professional and sounded amazing! Fantastic String Quartet
Working with Two Rivers Chamber Music was one of the easiest parts of our whole wedding! They are so responsive and true professionals - they required minimal guidance and sounded flawless on my wedding night. Several people approached my new husband and I about what a beautiful atmosphere having a string quartet created. I was blown away by the library of music these guys can play - from classical to modern day, they really can play it all. We were so lucky to find Two Rivers Chamber Music for the wedding of our daughter! The musicians have professional training and outstanding musicality, and their interpretation of the pieces commonly played at the weddings (e.g., Canon in D, Air on the G String, etc.) make the whole event feel magical. Amazing music for our wedding
Two Rivers Chamber Music performed a wonderful set at our wedding in Shenandoah National Park. Everyone from the 1 year old to our parents loved the musical backdrop. The group was extremely professional and easy to work with. I'm so happy they could be part of our special day.

The Perfect Touch For Our Ceremony
Two Rivers Chamber Music was the perfect touch to our ceremony. Their music was so beautiful that it literally brought some of our guests to tears. I debated back and forth as to whether a string trio would be worth it... Let me just say, hiring them for our ceremony was one of the best choices I could have ever made.
Michael emailed back and forth with me and we also spoke on the phone to go over exactly how I wanted the ceremony to go. He also gave me a lengthy list of songs to choose from (and the option to have them choose, if I wanted). It was so fun to pick out all the songs out and design my ceremony. Michael was so kind and helpful throughout it all.
My ceremony was perfect and I think a lot of it had to do with how absolutely beautiful the string trio was. They played perfectly.
I cannot recommend Two Rivers Chamber Music enough. They are worth their weight in gold!!

Perfect Choice

Wonderful performance, responsive service
We would wholeheartedly recommend Two Rivers Chamber Music. We hired the string quartet to perform at our ceremony, including a mix of classical pieces for immediately before and after the ceremony, the processional, and a modern song for the recessional. Their entire performance was absolutely beautiful and created such an elegant atmosphere. The musicians were very flexible and adjusted the timing of the processional pieces smoothly when the wedding party went up faster than expected.
Two Rivers' customer service was very helpful and responsive too. Even before we had officially booked them, they helped brainstorm several options for where they could perform at our venue depending on the weather. On the day of the wedding, they handled all the logistics and we didn't have to worry about anything. Given the quality of both the performance and customer service, Two Rivers was a great value, and their music was one of my favorite parts of the day.

The most amazing and easiest experience!
Two Rivers was excellent from day one. When I reached out to them, they were completely honest with pricing and how my wedding day would go. Their communication was awesome! He set up phone calls, emails, and asked every question that I would have never thought it. Every guest at our wedding raves about the music. They truly brought it home for my wedding day. I Believe in a Thing Called Love
Two Rivers Chamber Music came recommended by our wedding planner, and we’re so glad we got to work with them. They provided music before, during, and after our ceremony. They have such an incredible library of music that we were able to find everything we wanted in their repertoire already – including a rock song for our recessional! – and they gave some great feedback and advice on what types of pieces to consider for different times in the ceremony. There was a small hiccup with our processional music not lining up perfectly with the people entering, but that was mostly due to challenges with the layout of our space. Our guests gave us several complements on the quality and variety of the music, and we recommend working with Two Rivers.

Simply Amazing
I hired a quartet. They learned two new pieces for my wedding and played them exquisitely. Simply put, they left me the most satisfied of any vendor I hired for the wedding. In addition to being great musicians, they went “above and beyond” in my case. One of the musicians actually put their health at risk to play outside on an exceptionally hot July evening which I requested. That shows you what kind of musicians they are...I can’t recommend them enough.

Magical Music
We hired Two Rivers Chamber Music after meeting them at a bridal show with my parents back in February. We wanted to find a vendor who would be able to play alongside my Uncle John as he played the trumpet (no easy feat!). Michael was very easy to get in touch with and coordinate with and made things very easy on my end. They have a large array of music they can play and it was easy to make our choices, even when they were narrowed down a bit to work with a brass 'section'. I missed them at our cocktail hour due to taking photos, but many of my guests had nothing but good things to say about their performance at our cocktail hour. We could not be happier with our choice and would highly recommend Two Rivers to anyone looking for that special added touch of live musicians at their ceremony and/or cocktail hour!

Almost a year has gone by and I am now finding the time to review all our AMAZING vendors. My husband’s one request for our ceremony was that we have a string quartet and Two Rivers Chamber Music definitely exceeded all our expectations. Michael was wonderfully professional and super helpful in planning along with such a large wedding party. Due to hair and makeup delays, I arrived a few minutes late. However, they adapted and seamlessly transitioned to my arrival. I still get very emotional watching myself walk down to “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Also, our guests (to this day) really enjoyed/geeked out while listening to Game of Thrones and LOTR during the post-wedding photos. The musicians are so incredibly talented and absolutely worth it. Highly recommend! :)

Beautifiul Music, Professional Musicians

Two Rivers was absolutely perfect for our daughter’s outdoor wedding. They played for the wedding and cocktail reception and their music was lovely. Their repertoire is extensive from classical to contemporary. Matthew was our primary contact and working with him was a breeze. Two Rivers provided our sound system, too. Having worked at outdoor venues similar to ours, they came prepared with a back-up system in case the wireless one encountered issues. Which it did. Two Rivers quickly and without any disruption converted to the wired back-up system and everyone could hear every word of the ceremony clearly. It was a brilliant move that personified their experience and their resourcefulness. Thanks, Matthew! I highly recommend Two Rivers. Hire them to be the perfect addition for your wedding, too.

Wonderful string trio for our wedding
My husband and I booked a trio from Two Rivers Chamber Music for our wedding in June 2019, and we highly recommend them. From the start, the co-owners (Matthew and Michael) were so easy to communicate with, and they were readily available via phone and email from my initial inquiry to the day of our wedding. They made sure the music selection and wedding logistics were exactly as we wanted, and, on the day of the wedding, the musicians arrived with plenty of time to set up and get the lay of the venue. My husband and I are so glad we hired them, and multiple guests commented about how much they loved the trio! Would hire again in a heartbeat.

Incredible performances to make your wedding absolutely memorable
Michael and the team at Two Rivers Chamber music did a phenomenal job performing ceremony music at our wedding in Ocean City, MD.
Leading up to the day, Michael was very communicative and helped us understand what options and music selections were available to us. He was always super responsive with emails, getting back to us right away, and always happy to hop on the phone to work through any questions. The music selection was great and filled with both classical and modern (pop) tunes to pick from. We chose a violin cello duet for our ceremony (you can select from an assortment of instrumentation and ensemble size depending on what is available), and could easily find music to fit any part of the ceremony or cocktail hour. Their prices are great as well, especially considering what you get.
Our ceremony was beautiful, thanks in part to the phenomenal performances of Two Rivers Chamber Music. The duet even agreed to learn a piece of music I had composed for the ceremony, and just as with everything else, the performance was flawless. I could not have been more happy with the way they performed my piece, and it made the day that much more special. Thanks so much, Two Rivers.
On top of that, the group even provided amplification for the ceremony at an additional fee. This made our lives so much easier as it was one less thing to worry about. Michael ensured that both the ceremony music, and our officiant, could be heard by all. As our wedding was outside, this was a very important factor.
I would recommend Michael and the musicians at Two Rivers Chamber Music in a heartbeat. It was a phenomenal experience working with them, and if you want to make your wedding day as perfect as possible, you should absolutely consider hiring this group!

We had Two Rivers at our wedding for both our ceremony and cocktail hour musicians, and they were amazing! They were SO responsive and helpful while we were picking our music, making sure to double check and make sure they had everything correct. We also were able to rent speakers and mics for our ceremony through this group, and the quality was amazing. Michael and Matthew are both extremely friendly and great to work with, and their music helped to really bring our ceremony together.

Two Rivers Chamber Music was an amazing team to work with. We hired an instrumental trio for our wedding ceremony music and could not have been more impressed and pleased with the outcome. Starting with the planning, they had a large list of songs (both classical and pop) to choose from and offered lots of ideas of types of songs to use throughout the ceremony. They made it so easy to feel confident that this would run smoothly.
As the bride, I only heard the song as I came in and as we left, but so many of our guests came up to us after to rave about how great the ceremony music was. I never realized the importance of really good instrumentals during the ceremony and now could not recommend this group enough.
Their talent was obvious, but their professionalism was next to none. They were available anytime to discuss song ideas, give feedback about my selections, and showed up early to set up for the event. If you want the best, use Two Rivers Chambers Music at your event.
