First off, let me say, Two Carters are more than just photographers. Our first meeting with them was fantastic, we were put at ease by their uplifting attitudes and their extensive experience. Next came our engagement photos. The day was planned to a 'T', our photos were perfectly shot and we got our pictures in no time. Our wedding day is still 2 months away, but thanks to Melissa's help, I have every 15 minutes planned from 10am until 10pm. I cannot begin to share how in control I feel thanks to her. There is something to be said about the relationships they build with their clients. If we see them at a restaurant or an event, we are greeted with a big smile and sometimes a big hug! We know we aren't their only clients but they make us feel like we are. We are thrilled to have them as our photographers and simply can't wait for the magic to unfold on our big day.First off, let me say, Two Carters are more than just photographers. When choosing a vendor for one of the most important days of your life, you should always do your research to best choose the right vendor fit for you. You can't go wrong with the amazing husband and wife team of Two Carters! Melissa and Stephen work so well together, both bringing different views and creativity to every shoot. Their #1 concerns are their clients comfort and happiness through all aspects - communication beforehand, your actual shoot, and everything after!
My husband and I used Two Carters for everything! Our engagement photos, my bridal and boudoir shoot, and our wedding! We are so happy with every single aspect of using them as our photographers. There was always constant and clear communication, we always felt so comfortable and we are so beyond happy with all of our images! Melissa and Stephen went above and beyond for us and made us so happy and thankful we chose them to capture some of the most important memories of our lives. My heart dropped when I saw this blog with some photos - I could not be more pleased with the memories we will have for years to come! Talk about a DREAM TEAM! Melissa and Stephen are truly everything you would want out of photographers for your big day... and more!!! They made my husband and I feel SO comfortable on our wedding day -- making us laugh and feel SO special. Words cannot describe how happy we were when we received our pictures back -- we were blown away by how many beautiful images both Stephen and Melissa captured. Every memory and feeling comes rushing back still to this day of the feelings we had on our wedding day -- all because Stephen and Melissa captured EVERY MOMENT perfectly. I cannot tell you how many friends and family members look at our pictures and have said that they wish they could have just 3 images that compare to our whole gallery.
They are extremely organized, professional, prompt with responses/answering questions, and prep you with everything to expect on the big day so all nerves are at ease. My husband and I definitely did our due diligence when searching for our wedding vendors, especially the photographers, and we feel like it was one of the best decisions we made for our big day. Stephen and Melissa are truly something special and we are so happy we had them alongside us on one of the biggest days of our lives.Talk about a DREAM TEAM! It was a pleasure working with Two Carters Photography for my son and daughter-in-laws wedding. Melissa and Stephen are so professional and have an amazing "eye" for just what you will LOVE in wedding photo memories. My husband and I are officially Two Carters fans for life! I could go on and on about how amazingly gorgeous our wedding photos turned out (I'm still dying over them), but I'm sure you've already seen their blog. We chose a package that included an engagement shoot, bridal portraits, and a full day of wedding coverage with two photographers.
We were initially concerned that a second photographer would be too invasive for our 120 guests, but I'm so glad Stephen & Melissa were both there for everything. They captured so many beautiful photos and seemed to blend in seamlessly with our friends & family. Our wedding guests are still referring to Stephen & Melissa as "flies on the wall" and have repeatedly mentioned that our photos are magazine worthy. Ah, music to my ears.
Compared to our overall budget, we invested a great deal into our wedding photography and let me tell you... every. single. penny. was worth it. We wanted a team we could trust entirely and we got that, plus more. I can't tell you how many frantic/indecisive e-mails I sent to Melissa within the last year, but I can tell you that her responses were always thorough and no question was ever too silly.
Our wedding day was beautiful and relatively stress free. I owe a lot of that to our photographers. We decided to take our "first look," family & bridal party photos before the ceremony. Thanks to the personalized photo timeline they provided, everyone knew where to be and what time to show up. This is where the phrase, "did you look at your timeline?" came in handy for the bride :)
Stephen & Melissa were with us every step of the way and thank goodness they came into our lives. We wouldn't have wanted it to be anyone else. Thank you for genuinely sharing in our wedding excitement with us! We are thrilled with the outcome. To top it off, we recently received our ultra sheek wedding album personally designed by Two Carters and it was too beautiful for words, so I cried instead.My husband and I are officially Two Carters fans for life! When planning my wedding, there were only a few things that were MUST HAVES…. phenomenal photography was one of those! Pictures last a lifetime, so of course I wanted those picture to be the best of the best! Two Carters Photography DELIVERED in a HUGE way! Now the quality and beauty of the pictures can speak for themselves, all you have to do is go look at their blog to see their gorgeous work, but BRIDES, on your wedding day, something that is super important is STRESS…or lack of STRESS! This is why Melissa and Stephen are the BEST!!! Even though I sent countless emails and texts asking millions of questions, they always assured me that everything would be covered and they had this….and YES they did!
I got married at The Castle on Stagecoach in Little Rock, AR. It is a beautiful venue, but quite large! I already had enough to worry about, I didn’t need to also worry about getting people to the correct places at the correct times. That is where Melissa and Stephen stepped in! Not only did they create a wedding timeline, they also took control of the crowd. They were the perfect combination of flexibility, sweetness, and professionalism. They stepped in and directed people quickly and efficiently to make the process go very smoothly. Having two photographers added ease to the day. Stephen was with the guys and Melissa was with the girls! We got beautiful pictures from both sides. Also, my husband and I decided to do the “first look” before the wedding and it was such a sweet time. We have the most gorgeous and intimate pictures from that moment, yet I never once felt our privacy being intruded by Melissa or Stephen. They basically are like ninjas ;)
WORK AROUND US! That is how I would sum it up! I never felt like I was constantly being posed or told to do this or do this. Melissa and Stephen would direct you to laugh or be sweet with each other, instead of walking over posing you and then saying “hold that pose”! I highly recommend them!

When we met with Stephen and Melissa we immediately knew they were the people we wanted to capture our special day. They were very knowledgable and talented, but also very easy to connect with on a personal level. It was definitely the right decision! Our wedding day photography was completely stress free and even enjoyable in the July heat! We knew photography was going to be one of the larger expenses, but it was definitely worth it. The quality and quantity of photographs we received was perfect, and Stephen and Melissa did everything to make sure we got what we wanted! Our friends and family have commented on how great our wedding pictures turned out, especially on how beautiful our personalized wedding album is! We have had Two Carter's photograph our engagement session, bridals, wedding day, and most recently our one year anniversary session. Each time Stephen and Melissa have made us feel confident and comfortable, and provided us with amazing images! We look forward to having them photograph our future milestones. I positive reviews, but I had a bad experience with Two Carter’s and wouldn’t recommend them. We used them for our engagement photos and I felt uncomfortable during the photo shoot. When we got the photos back, my heart dropped because they were not at all what I was wanting. Neither of Two Carter’s tried to make it right and ultimately, I hired another photographer and lost all the money we had put down.
