Twin Oaks was an actual dream. Karl and Angela are incredible. They were so helpful. I stayed in the bridal overnight suite which was amazing and so nice to have my whole party together in their BEAUTIFUL suite. Then, they served us brunch that morning and were super accommodating to any allergies or preferences. Seriously made me feel like then most special person on my big day. I had a a lot of add ons (overnight, brunch, farm tables, draping), but every $ was worth it. Karl draped the front of the house for me the day of and was SO gracious to do that so last minute. The entire staff was so awesome and helpful. I had a wedding with over 300 people in attendance and there was plenty of space. Anything I needed, they made sure I had it. Angela even held my dress as I was walking to the ceremony. I was super nervous and asked her pray over me. She calmed my nerves, prayed over me and helped me walk to my ceremony!!! When I tell you it was the best experience ever, literally I could not have asked for a better wedding day experience. If you're on the fence on where to do it, do it HERE. They are amazing people who care for you and your husband, your family, and your wedding day!! I felt super loved and special and so did my family. You're treated more than a wedding client, they truly take care of you, your bridal party, your family, everything!!! So loving, so intentional, so supportive and helpful. Amazing venue. Book here and literally have the BEST DAY EVER. :) -

The Venue at Twin Oaks was absolutely perfect! Besides the beautiful house and grounds (seriously, just look at their pictures it is STUNNING!!!), the Twin Oaks team made the planning process and the day of the wedding flow seamlessly. They were extremely helpful, professional, and easy to work with. Planning your wedding during a worldwide pandemic is less than ideal, but they made sure we could still have our dream wedding despite any uncertainties or last minute adjustments. They were quick to respond any time we had a question or needed suggestions. We were not overly familiar with the area, and Karl had a wonderful list of vendor recommendations that helped ease the stress of planning. We were given ample time to set up and to have the rehearsal dinner. We looked into several Antebellum style venues, and this one was by far the most economical for all that is included (and it was certainly the most beautiful one). I cannot recommend Twin Oaks enough! We are so thankful they helped make our big day one to remember!!! -

I’m still in awe of how perfect my wedding day was!! Twin Oaks is absolutely stunning—there’s adequate space indoors and outdoors. The lawn, flowers, trees, etc really gives this place the “IT” factor. My favorite is the reception hall and the backyard area with the string lights and bad house. Look no further, the place is BEAUTIFUL and the staff (Karl, Angela and Allison) were great to work with. -

Karl and Angela are the best people in the wedding business! Ive never met more kind or flexible people! They made everything I couldve ever dreamed of come true! Ive never felt more welcomed and comfortable with any vendors ever! Wouls definitely recommend to anyone wanting a dream wedding and perfect venue team -

Daughters Wedding
Although I was skeptical of this venue because of the pricing, I don’t believe we could have had a nicer wedding anywhere else or a better experience. The staff was so helpful and made everything go like clockwork. For events this venue is top notch and first class all the way -

The venue at Twin Oaks is truly gorgeous and nothing like it in the Humboldt and Jackson area. However, the house itself and brick walkway to the house could definitely be updated especially before adding brick wall (that wasn't originally there when we booked) and wood doors for the brick wall. While walking down the aisle my heel got caught in a hole in the brick walkway would not have happened if the walkway has been fixed and take care of better. Furthermore, the columns on the house are starting to crumble. I know they want to keep it to the original state, but there is a better way to go about it. Also, I think it best to let future brides to be and people who are thinking about using the venue to ask Karl and Melisa all the questions you need to know before signing the contract and if they tell you anything extra or special to get it in writing. We notice during the year and a half from signing to our wedding date that some information and extra details changed, and if we still wanted them it would cost extra or was no longer available. I also think it is best to let future brides know that during our wedding money was stolen inside the house (from the second floor) and our wedding cards were stolen. The venue owner and coordinator did not help or seem to care at all. So make sure to have your valuables in your eye or someone you trust (not a hired vendor) to keep an eye on it and maybe hire security to be on the safe side since the venue is not in the best area especially at night. Again the venue is gorgeous you just need to take extra steps to make sure your big day is everything you dreamed it would be. -

This is a review I never thought I would have to write, but I wanted to warn future brides of this Venue Owner. Now this is for a different Venue that this owner also owns, but I thought to publish it here too since it’s about the owner. I was supposed to be getting married next year, and as a future bride to be you never consider the fact that things might now work out. You have all these dreams, but sometimes life happens. I unfortunately had to cancel my wedding.
I approached Mr. Karl (the Venue owner) and since I was canceling the wedding over a year in advance I was hoping to be able to get a partial refund. We had paid our entire Venue Amount ($6,250) in December of 2023. I was understanding that I was canceling and did not expect the full amount. My planner originally tried to get ahold of him and he never responded back to her for an entire month (the month of September 2024). I had to continuously reach out to Mr. Karl to try to get an answer back from him a full week had passed before he responded back. But Mr. Karl refused and stated that according to the contract you (the bridal party) are liable for the ENTIRE Venue cost regardless. He took $6,250 away from me during a very emotional time with promising a credit to me for “my future wedding” after my relationship was shattered and there wasn’t going to be a wedding.
So I’m writing this review as a warning to all future brides. READ THE CONTRACT and understand that these people take advantage of the joyous occasion a wedding should be by forcing you to pay THE ENTIRE VENUE FEE when things go sour anyways. A respectable establishment would be willing to part with a partial refund for cancellations before a certain date. Shame on this venue.
