  My husband and I recently got married in May 2015, and worked with Twila Allen as our photographer for our engagement and wedding. Twila's photos are absolutely gorgeous, and she is a true pleasure to work with! For our engagement photos, Twila was great with suggesting locations and traveling to multiple spots to get the perfect shots. She takes a lot of pictures, so you have a ton of great options to choose from. Twila has a way of making you feel completely at ease taking photos and being romantic with your significant other in front of the camera. She is also great at dealing with the crazy moments in weddings (like family pictures) and has a calming presence. Twila was able to get wonderful shots of all of our family members together during the wedding day even when they were all trying to run in different directions!
  
  We were so incredibly happy with how our engagement and wedding pictures turned out and could not have been more pleased! Like most people, I worry about how we are going to look in pictures, especially ones that capture some of the most important events in your life. When we first saw the engagement and wedding pictures, we were completely blown away by how beautiful they were - they absolutely exceeded our expectations. Twila is incredibly talented, and there is no need to worry! She has such an artistic eye and a special way of capturing and bringing out the beauty in moments. If you are looking for a photographer in the Nashville area, Twila is a real gem and you can't go wrong with her! My husband and I often talk about our wedding now and have said many times in these conversations that Twila was the best wedding vendor we worked with, and we were so happy that we chose her as our photographer. ~ Katie & Justin

  Twila Allen was a pleasure to work with. She was attentive to our every need, worked at our pace, and wasn't pushy when it came to the sale.
  
  Twila provided a custom package for us that included an engagement session, guestbook, and rehearsal, wedding, and reception sessions. She also provided custom made DVD proofs of all sessions.

  I do not even know where to begin! Twila was hands down the best and most conscientious wedding photographer. She shot my bridal portraits, rehearsal night, and the wedding. She went above and beyond from the very first consultation to make sure she understood my style and personality so she could perfectly capture every moment of our big day. Every time I emailed her with questions, she responded very quickly and addressed my every concern. For my bridal portraits, she shot them at the Tennessee State Capitol. She arrived early so she could scope out the venue and plan the best places for the pictures. By the time I got there, she knew exactly where she wanted to take the pictures and directed me to each location. It was wonderful! Before the wedding, she traveled to visit the church and the reception venue just so she could take test pictures for lighting, distance, etc. She also wanted to personally meet the event corrdinators before the wedding so she would recognize the people in charge of the venues. I was amazed at how she wanted to make sure she knew all the details of the locations and the wedding so she would be prepared for anything that may happen! As the wedding neared, she was constantly in contact with me to make sure that we had the wedding timeline mapped out and to make sure that she knew all of the pictures that I wanted her to take. On the wedding day, she arrived at my house in the morning and she stayed with us throughout late that evening, capturing every wonderful moment (including getting ready, preceremony, ceremony, family pictures, bride and groom pictures, detail shots, the reception, and the getaway)! We could not have asked for more. Also, Twila designed both my bridal album and my wedding album - her eye for picture layout and display is impeccable. She made sure every picture (and that was no small task!) that I wanted was included in the albums. She was so patient with me through the entire process, which I really appreciated!
  
  Twila truely loves her job, and you will realize that from the moment you meet her. I VERY HIGHLY recommend Twila for ALL of your photography needs. I have given her business card to several people, and I plan to call upon her talents for many more events to come!

She listened to what I wanted to focus on and still offered recommendations that resulted in truly beautiful pictures.   Twila's photography captured some wonderful photos of our elopement at Cheekwood. She responded to our request quickly even though she was on her way to another job when we emailed, she was available on reasonably short notice (we set up the wedding about a week in advance), and she was flexible with our pricing since we weren't doing a full-on wedding shoot. The photos were truly outstanding despite that she had to work with the sketchy lighting of the cloudy evening. We will treasure these for years to come.

  I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Twila. We are so happy we were able to find someone with such talent, and reasonable pricing! I highly recommend hiring her for any event that is special. Her artistic eye was able to capture the spirit of our wedding day.   We cannot say enough about how thrilled we were having Twila as our wedding photographer! She took beautiful photographs, was very professional, very patient with us, and was also friendly to our guests and family. Her talent with a camera is amazing! But the best part of all was the price. As a poor law school student marrying a factory worker, I couldn't afford to spend a fortune on photos. Twila did a professional job -- and for a great price. We couldn't have been more pleased.

Our wedding photos were so awesome that now she is our official family photographer. She's done our engagement photos, wedding photos, maternity photos (boy did she ever make an uncomfortable pregnant with twins Momma look great), and several sets of birthday and holiday photos. I have more than been pleased with everything she's done.
