I visited Tuxedos by Santos after I found a specific blue tux on their website. From what I was told elsewhere it’s a "seasonal tux" which would make it difficult to find. I decided to give it a shot and go see if it was available. When I walked into the shop a few weeks ago without an appointment I was greeted by Hugo. He was taking care of another customer but during my wait he invited my bride and I to review his book of suits and tux. I immediately saw the tux and that wanted so I knew this would be the place I would purchase it from. The store itself is clean and a well organized...I visited Tuxedos by Santos after I found a specific blue tux on their website. From what I was told elsewhere it’s a "seasonal tux" which would make it difficult to find. I decided to give it a shot and go see if it was available. When I walked into the shop a few weeks ago without an appointment I was greeted by Hugo. He was taking care of another customer but during my wait he invited my bride and I to review his book of suits and tux. I immediately saw the tux and that wanted so I knew this would be the place I would purchase it from. The store itself is clean and a well organized establishment. When Hugo finished up with the appointment he quickly introduced himself and began assisting us in what we were looking for. He was extremely helpful and understood exactly what I was looking for. He had a sample of the tux I wanted to purchase and assisted us by giving his professional opinion on the kind of color scheme that fit the suit. I must say he was rather professional, honest and did not rush us out the store. He was clearly trying to satisfy us and did not attempt to rush us into payment like other stores we went to. He even told us to stop by in the future for coffee! We sat and made a deal soon after. The prices are fair and tux is high quality. He even gave us a sample tie to use so that my bride can find the same color for the bridesmaid dresses. This is the kind of service that only a reputable local business can provide. Going forward for any formal occasions I would gladly recommended Tuxedos By Santos to my family and friends.

In September, we had a wedding... Tuxedos by Santos was the destination place for our Tux rental... we were getting a Tuxedo for my 11 year old son.... I called Tuxedos by Santos, and couldn't have been happier with the service provided, from the moment I walked in the store, the comfort provided within, the level of cleanliness, the styles of Tuxedos available, and the attention to every detail provided by Hugo... were unmatched anywhere else... My son got a great fitting Tuxedo, the day we picked it up, Hugo was extremely accommodating in making sure that we received a perfectly fitting Tux, and accessories. I definitely recommend Tuxedos by Santos to any friend looking for a wedding, Prom, or Special Event Tuxedo or Suit.

Hugo was amazingly professional! I went there with a photo of what I wanted for my groom to wear for out Destination wedding a few Days before the wedding, Very next Day he had the exact suit I showed him..Although it was such short noticed they were happy to provide us with an amazing tailored look at a GREAt price . Extremely Happy with entire experience. ..Thanks Santos tuxedos. ..
Hugo was amazingly professional! Super clean shop, Very professional staff located in the heart of Newarks Ironbound, they have a huge selection of tuxedos which we were very surprised about! The gentleman Whom I believe is the owner is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful if you don't know exactly what you're looking for! Our guys looked awesome and we will be recommending this place to our family and friends!Super clean shop, Very professional staff located in the heart of Newarks Ironbound, they have a huge selection of tuxedos which we were very surprised about! You know how they say at least one major thing will go wrong with every wedding? Tuxedos by Santos was our one major thing, but let me break it down a little more:
- When my husband and I went to get pick everything out, we let them know the ring bearer would be a year and a half old at the time of the wedding.
- When my out of state brother called in with the measurements for the ring bearer 2/3 weeks ahead of time they said they didn't have a jacket for our Ring Bearer, but the shirt, vest, and pants would be fine (I figured that's fine, he just won't wear the jacket)
-...You know how they say at least one major thing will go wrong with every wedding? Tuxedos by Santos was our one major thing, but let me break it down a little more:

- A week before the wedding Hugo (Owner?) called me to let me know the vest for the Ring Bearer is backless and would look bad without a jacket (wish I knew earlier), but at this point I felt like I didn't have too many other options
- When we finally went in with my out of state family to get measured/try on suits the Ring Bearer's pants and vest were HUGE! We had to go out and buy him suit pants (which didn't match the rest of the men) and he wore a purple bow tie and suspenders. When we tried on the suspenders to rent, Hugo's mom was going to cut them to fit him, but Hugo said if we cut it we have to buy it....After all we went through with my Ring Bearer just days before the wedding Hugo was money hungry.
Other than my Ring Bearer
- My father got the wrong suit jacket, and was told HE made the mistake...until they realized they'd made the mistake, and got him the right jacket
- All of the Groomsmen's jackets were loose fitting, when we were told they'd be fitted (I even have pictures of Hugo holding the jacket tight to show the fit)
- The sole of one of my groomsmen's shoes came off completely before the wedding even started
- My husband looked like he had on a sweatsuit. He went back in the morning of the wedding to get it "taken care of" as Hugo promised and had to BUY the pants for $160 in order for them to be altered the way they should have initially fit!!
