We cannot thank Tuscan Pledges enough for the most beautiful and personalized wedding ceremony in Florence. Working with Jo and Francesca was an absolute pleasure—communication was always clear, and the process was completely stress-free for us.
Francesca, our celebrant, crafted a ceremony that told our story so elegantly, making it truly unique and special to us. The atmosphere you created was emotional, heartfelt, and unforgettable for both us and our guests.

Our Elopement was magical thanks to Jo
My husband and I eloped to Tuscany last spring and had the most amazing experience thanks to the guidance and kind words from Jo. She sent us questionnaires and really got to know us ahead of time so when the big day came, it was like we had a friend there to marry us. Our family wrote us letters and Jo was so patient to read all 8 of them. Her soft voice and friendly demeanor was so special. We watch our wedding video often and we can’t express how happy we are that we chose Jo to marry us. -

We had the pleasure of working with Tuscan Pledges for our wedding at Villa Medicea di Lilliano on 30.5.24 and we could not recommend them more highly! We worked with Jo and Janneke and they were able to deliver exactly what we hoped for: a ceremony that felt extremely personal to us and gave our guests a glimpse into our relationship. We also had a mix of Italian and English speaking guests and they wrote portions of the ceremony in both languages to honor both of our families.
During the planning process, Jo sent us questions to answer about our relationship which were truly so fun to answer and helped us reflect on our history so that it was much easier to write personal vows as well. She met with us multiple times over zoom so we felt she was able to get to know us as a couple beforehand. She always responded promptly to all emails. It’s obvious that they are THE go-to celebrants in Tuscany because the rest of our vendors/planner/venue were all familiar with them and had worked with them many times, which made us even more confident in their abilities.
Janneke was our celebrant and she did an excellent job delivering a personalized, emotional, and thoughtful ceremony. We had to delay our ceremony for rain and were a bit worried and stressed but Janneke’s calming presence immediately helped us relax and take in the moment. We cried throughout the entire thing and I’m certain our guests did as well— we received so many comments that this was the best wedding ceremony they had ever been a part of. Everyone has been raving about her delivery of the ceremony even months later. We were so fortunate to work with the Tuscan Pledges team and they have given us a special gift we will cherish forever. -

Beautiful ceremony
Jo created the most beautiful ceremony for us in Italy for our special day. From the moment we met we knew she would be perfect for our ceremony. Every part was beautifully delivered and planned and she said the loveliest script in the wedding. She also sent us vow examples to help us. Fabulous… Thankyou Jo!
Jo from Tuscan Pledges was our celebrant when we held our symbolic ceremony at Villa Catiganano on 24/10/23.
She was warm and friendly and appeared so happy to be working with us. She gave us ‘homework’ pre ceremony so that she would understand us and our relationship better. We were sceptical. But we did it and it was a wonderful way to capture the essence of our relationship in the ceremony. On the day she was professional and understated and helped fill the room with love and joy. She has also provided us with a transcript for us to keep and for those who couldn’t hear well. Thank you, Jo, for being part of our incredible fairytale wedding. -

Beautiful Ceremony
My husband & I recently had the pleasure of working with Francesca at Tuscan Pledges as our wedding celebrant, and we couldn't be happier with how it went. We opted for a symbolic ceremony as we were coming from overseas, but this did not impact the the level of service or attention to detail we received. Francesca (and Jo) listened to what we were after, offered guidance and patience; resulting in a ceremony that felt genuine, heartfelt and perfectly aligned with our vision. My husband and I got married last September in Florence with Jo as our wedding celebrant. Throughout the planning process, she was incredibly prompt in responding to emails and addressing all of my questions (and I definitely had quite a few)! Jo is an absolute pro; she's a great communicator, highly organized, and super sweet. Having her officiate our wedding took a lot of stress off our shoulders, knowing she was highly experienced and passionate about her work.
Meeting her on the day of my wedding was such a delight. Jo exuded calmness and had a lovely demeanor that instantly put me at ease. During the ceremony, she maintained the same energy, which was so appreciated! Jo did a fantastic job delving into the details of our love story and facilitating the ceremony flawlessly. Such a beautiful ceremony!
Sofia with was our celebrant for our symbolic ceremony in Tuscany September 2023 and she was absolutely amazing! Sofia is very kind and thoughtful and the ceremony she put together was so intimate and emotional for me and my husband, and even for all our guests. There really wasn’t a dry eye in the house! We especially loved warming of the rings and how she got everyone involved in the Jewish tradition of stomping on the glass. We loved every second of the ceremony and can’t wait to watch it back for years to come.

Highly recommend Tuscan Pledges for your ceremony in Italy. Sofia from Tuscan Pledges was amazing, our guests even mentioned how beautiful the ceremony she led was.
My husband and I got married in Bucine, Tuscany in September 2023, and hired Sofia from Tuscan Pledges and we could not be happier that we did. Our wedding guests were mostly Spanish speakers, so we hired Sofia for our wedding ceremony as she speaks spanish.
Sofia met with us a couple times before our big day to get to know us and also explain how the ceremony could work, offering us many different options to go off of. Sofia also was in constant communication with us before our big day to make sure the ceremony script was perfect.
We felt an instant connection with Sofia over our couple conversations before our big day and felt that same beautiful connection they day of our wedding, she made us feel like we knew her for a long time.
Our ceremony was beautiful and just what we wanted it to be. She made our day seamless and significant.

10/10 service, they really got to know us and their officiant speech was super customized to us and made me cry(happy tears) . We had a civil, non-religious elopement ceremony and they were able to make it feel grand and special and offered unique rituals for us to choose from -

We got Jo's contact info from your wedding venue, and Jo was very quickly to answer and we booked a skype meeting (we are from Denmark). After meeting her, we just knew she was the one to do our symbolic ceremony in Tuscany. We were very informed of the proces and everything was on contract, which was nice when you are not near each other.
On the day of the wedding Jo visit us both in our seperate rooms. She was smiling and just calm, which made us calm.
She had all the things for the ceremony and ritual.
And oh my god a ceremony we had. It was all about us and our love. We can't believe have right and perfect it was for us to have Jo Bertolino from TuscanPledges to do the ceremony.

Unforgettable and Beautiful Ceremony
Celebrating our parents 50th anniversary in Tuscany was the best decision we made! & to top it off having Sofia as the officiant was amazing! She made it so special and included all of our family and made it very personal. Sofia felt like she was family and the ceremony was very unique. Great energy and very profesional. She spoke Spanish very fluently and translate Italian to English and Spanish. Recommend 1000% and would not be disappointed!! We love the wedding ceremony. -
