Oh. My. Word!

I cannot say enough about the wedding that Starr & Jess just DJ’d for my husband and I! From start to finish they kept our guests engaged, excited and ready to party! They included fun games, had seamless transitions and made sure that the dance floor stayed PACKED at all times.

The way the two work together is MAGIC. They are so in sync & play off of each other in a way that makes you think they’ve created their own secret language.

OH!!!! make sure you splurge on the photo booth - everyone rushed up to the booth multiple times and had so much fun with the cuteness props & unique design of the “bubble booth”.... seriously ask these guys about it!!!

I would recommend these ladies a million times - you will not be disappointed with the way your event goes with these two in control of the fun

The best there is!!

I don’t even know where to start. Jess and Star are absolutely amazing to have as your entertainment on your wedding day, and are even more amazing people. Since day 1, they were super helpful, organized, professional and attentive. When you have your initial call, they will feel like family right away. I remember reading testimonials and everyone raved about the dance floor being full from the start of the night until the wedding was over.. they weren’t kidding. We had people on the dance floor for 3 hours straight, and the music was incredible. Jess and Star aren’t just a DJ and MC duo, they are basically a day of coordinator as well. They have everything you could possibly need to make sure the day runs smoothly. My husband and I can’t say enough about Jess and Star, and they made our day that much more special!!

Jess & Starr are the Best!!

We cannot say enough amazing things about Jess and Starr as our wedding DJ and MC! From the moment the night started, they brought an incredible energy that kept the dance floor packed all night long. They knew exactly how to read the crowd and created the perfect vibe for every part of the evening—from our grand entrance to the very last dance.

They went above and beyond in every way. With multiple calls leading up to the wedding so they could ensure our day was perfect, their very user friendly portal to load all the songs into (which made everything super easy!), and Starr fully prepared with an SOS box of wedding-day essentials, just in case anything went wrong (which gave us so much peace of mind). It really is like having the most amazing DJ/MC duo and a day of wedding coordinator as well. They even provided a custom light-up logo that was projected on the wall—it added such a personal and stunning touch to our venue.

And that’s not all—they also included a fully equipped photo booth with tons of fun props and two friendly attendants (no extra charge for the attendants)! After the wedding, they gifted us a beautiful photo album filled with a copy of every single photo booth picture from our guests. It was such a thoughtful and meaningful keepsake that we’ll treasure forever.

Best of the best

We cannot say enough good things about Jess and Starr. From the very beginning, they went above and beyond to make our day special, making sure that we had meetings about what we were looking for and discussing our vision. They came prepared with box filled with items we might need, things we didn’t even think of ourselves, which came in handy at several points throughout the day. It was such a kind and practical touch that really showed how much they care about their couples.
The music was absolutely perfect, they played an incredible mix that kept got people dancing and singing along throughout the night. They knew exactly how to read the room and kept the energy high while also making sure special moments felt personal and meaningful. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how fun and engaging they were and how genuinely kind they were as well. Our family and friends loved them, and we feel so lucky to have had them as part of our big day. We couldn’t recommend them enough!

Phenomenal DJ!

Turning Music into Memories DJ Jess B and Starr.. These ladies actually did my sister’s wedding a couple years ago. It was an afternoon wedding, they got the crowd going, everyone dancing and it was amazing. I actually took their card(I wasn’t even engaged yet 😅 but I was thinking I would maybe need them one day).. I kept it in my wallet and after I got engaged. They were the first vendor we reached out to. Even before we booked the venue. A good DJ makes all the difference. And they are phenomenal!
Starr was honestly like a second coordinator/attendant. She noticed I was uncomfortable because of itchy straps from my dress and broke out her tackle box SOS kits and put lidocaine on my shoulders so I wouldn’t be in pain.
At my sister’s wedding she had an issue with not having enough dessert. Jess ran to the store to buy cupcakes.
These ladies are on another level and on top of that are fantastic at getting the crowd hyped up, people on the dance floor and keeping it going til that last dance.
We honestly hope we get the opportunity to have a party where we need a DJ/MC again.
They were amazing and highly recommending doesn’t seem like enough.

Best djs ever!

Our wedding day was the BEST day of our lives! We want to thank both Jess and Starr as they were a big part of that title. They went above and beyond their job description! We recommend them to everyone who is looking for a DJ because with them you are getting far more than what you paid for. They are so easy to work with. Not to mention the best thing about them is your wedding vision is their vision! They don’t take the easy way out, they do everything in their power to make your day perfect!

My venue was unique which caused for some issues. We discovered the day of the wedding that the spot we planned for the photo booth didn’t work. I started to worry until Starr immediately stepped in and quickly came up with a solution that looked better than my original vision. I didn’t have a wedding coordinator but Starr quickly took over that role. She helped make the whole day run smoothly, we are beyond grateful!

When it comes to the actual party! They really know how to get everyone moving. They had a few unique ideas that we loved! They were able to get everyone on the dance floor and keep them there! We gave Jess the freedom with the playlist which we have no regrets! I must say Jess truly reads the crowd so well and plays the songs that people want to hear! The vibes were on point! I also want to add in that my dancing caused my wedding straps to rip! My friend was trying to help me when out of nowhere Starr comes up behind me with a needle and thread! She quickly fixed the issue without anyone noticing!

We truly can’t thank them enough. We wouldn’t change a thing, they were absolutely perfect! Not to mention all of the compliments we got about them after our wedding! They truly are a BIG talking point when it comes to our wedding. We lost count on how many wedding guest told us how amazing they were! My biggest advice to anyone who is reading this is don’t hesitate and book with them! Trust me, my husband and all of our wedding guest, you won’t be sorry!

The best decision we made for our wedding!

I could go on and on about how amazing Jess and Starr are but there is not enough room on this review LOL. They are the absolute best at what they do! From the moment we booked with them I knew it was easily the best decision we made! They made us feel so comfortable and listened to everything we said. On the day of the wedding Starr made sure everything was in place and ran smoothly while Jess was killing it with the music! We even had the photobooth with our package and that was a huge hit!! Everyone still talks about it a month later. We could not be happier with how our wedding day went and these two have a HUGE part in that. We can’t thank them enough!

Amazing service!

Jess and Starr were fantastic at our wedding. From the planning to the execution they helped us every step of the way. Starr even gave us recommendations on what photos to request considering we are a same sex couple. The music had our guests on the dance floor all night. Outstanding service

Jess and Starr were the absolute best! We got the signed sealed delivered package which included DJ, MC, uplighting, animated monogram, Photo Booth with an album with Photo Booth pictures! And we couldn’t be any happier with the services provided! They were the first vendor I booked for this wedding and paid in full because I knew what I was getting and it was nothing but the best of the best!
Jess is just the absolute best DJ she did amazing “playing the room” based on the crowd that was there and Starr, my MC and day of coordinator (yes with them you also get a day of coordinator) she kept touching up my girls makeup, helping with their dresses, making sure food was served on time, checking if my husband and I needed anything! She has a box with anything you could imagine to save the day if needed!
My guests are still all talking about how great this wedding was because our entertainment was lit!
Everyone do your self a favor and do not wait and book turning music into memories as your entertainment!
I always said, for my wedding I want to make sure I have a great DJ, great food and great cake because that’s what guests will remember!

Book them nowwww!

I wish I could give 1,000 stars! This duo will make sure you and your guests have the most amazing time of your life! I have received so many compliments from family and friends already (less than 24 hours out!). They even got my great-aunt on the dance floor with her walker! Jess and Starr are MADE FOR THIS!
They’re so much more than DJs tho! As Jess was setting up the equipment, Starr (in momma bear fashion) came in with a tackle box that had legitimately ANYTHING you could need; bandaids numbing cream for those wedding shoes, even fishing line (that came in handy when my bustle broke! Starr literally turned into a seamstress and fixed me up in 3 minutes!), even hand warmers and fans to make sure you’re comfortable no matter what the conditions are!
When I tell you Starr was a better “day of coordinator” than the one our venue “provided”, I’m not even close to lying. Starr had us wrangled with a quickness (no small task with out group!) lined up jewelry hair and ties all in place so we walked out flawless!
On top of how amazing they were, their packages come with EVERYTHING at such amazing price points. We got their “Signed sealed delivered” package which included a photo booth. The attendant was SO sweet and everyone love it!
Jess and Starr are the definition of what wedding DJs/entertainers should be. I would pay 3x what they cost me knowing how absolutely incredible they were!

The greatest wedding ever!

Starr and Jess were the greatest MC and DJ I could have asked for! From start to finish the entire day was stress free and beautiful. Wedding DJ

Jess and Starr made our wedding day that much more special. They were both very responsive from the beginning of planning and were always available to answer questions. They were genuine and caring making sure they had all the details needed to make our day go smoothly. Simply the BEST!

Jess and Starr were beyond AMAZING from the first conversation to day of. You are not only getting a DJ with this team, but also an event coordinator which was invaluable to us. We didn't have many hiccups in our day, but having someone there prepared for it all was a lifesaver! We had a small event (under 50 guests) and you never would have known from the energy in room - All thanks to Jess and Starr! There are seriously not enough good things to say about this duo. Dream wedding

From the very start with planning, we knew it had to be an outdoor ceremony. We picked a venue that had a Beautiful cranberry bog in the background from where we would be saying our “I do’s.” Now, this was not either of our first marriages, so we just wanted it to be perfect, and we knew just who to pick as our DJ’s as they also DJ’d my mothers 60th birthday party, and were fantastic with mixing up music that all ages loved, just really could get a good feel of everyone they were working with. Prior to the wedding Jess and Starr made us feel so at ease and ready because along with the music package, what comes along with it is simply priceless, you get the “Starr” affect. She is your wedding coordinator, making sure nothing, and I do mean nothing, gets in the way of the day being absolutely perfect.
Fast forward to wedding day with the worst thing that could possibly happen to a couple that just wanted to have an outdoor ceremony with an overcast of clouds and rain and thunderstorms possibly in the mix. Thankfully, the thunder went away but there was no guarantee rain could not happen at any moment during the ceremony. We had to make a decision, one we were not wanting to do but it had to be done, and we called it off and said “Let’s bring it inside.” Thirty minutes later I get a call from Jess and Starr saying, “we worked something out with the venue, you ladies wanted this so bad, so we got a canopy to cover our equipment and we are going to make this work, and if a ceremony outside is what you want, than a ceremony outside is what you’re getting. Happy tears were streaming down my face (thankfully prior to make up set) and because of this, it was the happiest and best time of our lives. Amongst everything else these ladies did for us that I could go on and on with, like the toys they brought for the kids, and having our son play DJ for a quick song or two, these DJs/wedding coordinators are our wedding heroes, and I wouldn’t do another event without them. Hands down the best, amongst all the rest.

Jess and Starr are absolutely amazing at what they do! All the guests at our wedding had a blast. We were lucky to have Jess and Starr as our DJ and MC. They are true professionals and so much fun to be around! From start to finish, we had the best experience. They went above and beyond making sure we had a great experience. We loved the music! We loved the audio guestbook and photo booth! Starr had us all laughing and having a good time during the garter removal. We are just so grateful for all their hard work. They brought the party for sure!

Fantastic!

Jess and Starr know how to keep the party going! I had a small wedding so it would have been very easy for the dance floor to feel empty. That was not the case! Everyone was dancing the whole night through. Aside from the music Starr kept the night running so smoothly and I did not think about the timeline at all once the day began. And that is saying something because I am a timeline gal. We couldn’t have chosen a better DJ team. Many thanks to Jess and Starr!!

The absolute best !

I could not have asked any more of Jess and Starr! They had our dance floor packed all night! Along with making our ceremony flawless! Starr even fixed my dress for me as I ate after breaking the bustle after my first dance! Anything I could have asked of them they were already doing. We had a tough situation during my wedding and they both helped to keep me calm and keep the party going, I am beyond grateful for them and would recommend to anyone!

Best dj ever!

Jess and Starr are beyond amazing. There aren’t enough words to say how great they are. The entire wedding talked about how great they were. My one request was to keep the party going which is everything jess did i said “just follow the crowd and keep the dance floor going “ and the dance floor was busy all night.

Starr was just a breath of fresh air. Anything and everything I needed she was there. Flower girl wanted her dress cut to dance,Starr cut it for us. I need my dress bustled high ( changed my shoes and dress was too long) Starr whipped out her sewing kit)

Hire them!

Jess and Starr are absolutely amazing! They made our wedding so much fun and our guests are still talking about how awesome they were and how much fun they had two weeks later. We did the signed sealed delivered package and it is worth every penny!! The uplighting, the monogram, the photobooth, even the dj booth looks awesome! Jess keeps the party going and Starr is exactly that, a Star! She is also a superhero, my bustle came undone at one point and without hesitation she was on it and sewed up my dress so it looked perfect again! On a day full of nerves, Starr gave clear direction to everyone, especially the wedding party, and it made everything go smoothly and no one was confused on what was happening or where they should be. They even have super helpful tools/documents for you to build a timeline for your day. On top of all of that, they are incredibly friendly and so approachable. Thank you so much Jess and Starr for making our wedding day so memorable, you are truly great at what you do!!!

Jess and Starr, much more than just a DJ and MC!

Jess and Starr DJ’ed and MC’ed our wedding a few weeks ago. Like countless other reviewers have already said, they’re a dynamic duo! Unlike most DJ services, with Jess and Starr you get both a DJ and a MC. If you’ve looked into any other DJ services you’ll recognize how unique that package deal is!

But that special 2-in-1 is really the tip of the iceberg–Jess and Starr are also a joy to work with, highly professional, and willing to go the extra mile without you even asking to make your wedding the best day it can be. We pushed our wedding reception out two years and moved locations from Eastern MA to Western MA, though Jess and Starr never hesitated to keep our original pricing and were highly accommodating of both the date and location change. Then, on our actual wedding day, Jess and Starr upgraded us to a special DJ booth front and provided uplighting all free of charge simply because they knew what beautiful additions they would be to our reception tent. All we had to do was choose the color, and all of that extra lighting magically appeared!

Jess and Starr not only offer awesome DJ and MC services, but they’re fun, easy to work with, and obviously care deeply about their clients. They mentioned that they recently won a very special award (best DJ in Rhode Island I believe?) and I have no doubt as to why. Thank you, Jess and Starr, for helping make our wedding day a success!

I wish I could give them more than just 5 stars. What can I say about these two ladies...they are EXCELLENT at what they do! They truly care about their bride & groom. They are very attentive to the couple's needs, willing to answer any questions no matter the hour, and provide a night full of fun. Our guests thought they were so fun and interactive. Starr does an awesome job of getting your guests amped up and ready to dance the night away to the songs Jess plays. The photobooth was a hit as well. We love Jess and Starr!!

Music was very important to us and finding a DJ felt like a daunting task. Jess & Starr were recommended by our venue and we couldn't be happier! Beyond playing great music and keeping our dance floor packed, Jess & Starr were professional and helped guide us from the start of the planning process through our special day. We were able to actually be present and enjoy our day because Starr handled EVERYTHING (including fixing my broken bustle). Definitely recommend booking them!

Absolutely Spectacular - Hire Jess and Starr for the Best Wedding!

Jess and Starr are truly one of a kind - they’re a power couple/ DJ and MC dream team!

Jess and Starr were recommended to us by our venue and we are so thankful! Jess immediately responded to my email inquiry with charisma and I immediately knew that I wanted to hire them both! You not only get Jess, pro DJ, but you also get Starr who makes sure shiz is en pointe and in order for your wedding day! They had great suggestions for not only music, but for tips and ideas for the day itself since they were very familiar with our venue which was a LIFE SAVER.

The packages on their website are very reasonable and fully explain what each package offers so there aren’t any surprises. For example, we needed ceremony music and they had a package that had us covered! They even swapped out uplighting from the package we picked to an animated monogram to avoid bugs at our outdoor venue. Jess was able to get very specific songs for us that we wanted for our day and it made it that much more special.

Highlights that stick out to me:
- Before the ceremony started, Starr walked in and had a giant tool box of literally WHATEVER you could need in case of an emergency - she had sage and bug spray to keep any potential bugs away from me and my bridesmaids for our outdoor ceremony. There were bandaids, blister care, a sewing kit, mints, you name it in her arsenal.
- Jess and Starr had headsets to communicate with each other and my Day of Coordinator for the venue to ensure the day went flawlessly! For example, we realized before the ceremony started that my flower man was missing his flower confetti and Jess and Starr had it all under control in the matter of minutes.
- They were so flexible day of - we had planned to do a photo challenge to take pictures with all of our tables, but we were so eager to get the party started that we decided to skip it entirely.

Side note: we loved Jess and Starr so much that we recommended them to my best friend, so we get to see them again at her wedding!

Without Hesitation, Hire Them

I'm often too lazy to write reviews, good or bad, but Jess and Starr are so amazing that we had to make sure other couples hire them. On the business end, they were professional, organized, responded to emails and texts quickly, and instilled confidence that they knew what they were doing. On the personal side, they are two warm, friendly, loving people that take care of you. Both my sister and I hired them for our weddings on back to back weekends and we had every guest (literally) at both weddings rave about them. They're music choices were spot on for both sets of guests, and everyone was dancing until the very last song.
As a bride, I can't thank them enough. They led me thru the day. I did not have to think. We didn't have a planner or a day-of coordinator, but felt like we did the way they ushered us thru the day.
When it is so clear that a DJ makes or breaks a reception, please hire them because your wedding will be amazing without a doubt. Now we just need more of our siblings to get married so we can have them again :)

Absolutely amazing

I can’t quite put into words how lucky we were to have Jess and Starr as our DJ/MC. The dance floor was on fire and our guests had the best time! They are also flexible and calm energy to your day! We felt so good knowing they were in charge. We loved them and are eager to go to our friends wedding soon to get to see them and enjoy their talents again on the dance floor!

Exceptional experience.

Jess and Starr went above and beyond on our special day. Not only did they deliver all of our wants for music choices they also made the room so fun that even our shy guests got up and danced.
Starr help to keep everyone and everything organized. My favorite memorable moment, I had mishap with my dress. Starr came equipped with a mishap kit and helped to sew my dress.
And another even more memorable moment our wedding was during a heat wave and our venue kept randomly loosing power. Jess and Starr offered to supply a generator if needed.
My husband and I where so thrilled with everything Jess and Starr did.

Perfect wrap-around entertainment services

Jess and Starr are phenomenal! Starr was very available to give us wedding tips and advice from the get-go. She made sure we were comfortable and relaxed on the day of the wedding and she made sure ALL of our guests were on the dance floor! Jess was so flexible in adding all of our wish list songs. Everyone also LOVED the photo booth and we are so happy we get to keep more memories from our special day thanks to it!

Truly made our night!

Jess and Starr are the two most amazing people in the world. They came in organized, met with us before the wedding over zoom since we were a destination couple coming from Texas to Providence. They were so wonderfully flexible when I had to make some shifts last minute, and got the room pumped and ready to party! Starr was my hero and helped fix my bustle, had lip gloss ready, setting spray, and anything else you could need. She kept everything running, organized, and took care of us and the bridal party! They are truly two of the most wonderful people I have had the pleasure to meet, and they made my wedding night absolutely perfect. I cannot say enough about how amazing these two are. Jess just knows how to keep the party going, feels the crowd perfectly, and also made sure to put music important to us in the mix as well. You will have the absolute best time if you pick these two for your wedding!

DJ, Emcee, Wedding Coordinators and New Friends all wrapped into one!!

We had an amazing experience hiring Jess and Starr for our wedding! They are so fun and easy to talk to! Leading up to the wedding they made sure we would have all the music we wanted (and didn’t want) played and were extremely helpful with suggesting music to get the crowd moving! Even in our short time limit Jess was able to keep the dance floor full! The pair had such creative ways to get people up and moving and get the guests involved instead of just being bystanders! We got so many compliments on the music! Additionally, Starr basically saved my day— She ensured me she wanted me to feel comfortable and beautiful on my day and was able to help with last minute alterations that needed to be made on my dress with her own personal bridal survival kit. She also took care of small fires so that I wouldn’t have to worry about a thing. Having that additional wedding coordinator element was huge for us! Additionally, Jess and Starr both helped keep our twin boys happy and occupied while we enjoyed our day! I truly feel we made two new friends!

From DMX to Neil Diamond -- they've got you covered!

Jess & Starr were sensational. They were GREAT to work with, especially considering we scheduled and then rescheduled our wedding due to COVID. They were both super accommodating, flexible and understanding which we both appreciated. They got everyone hyped at our wedding, including some of our more anti-dance friends and family. They had the perfect selection of music for dinner, and even got our photographer involved! I often reached out to Jess via text and she always responded in a timely fashion and knew just what to say and how to help (which I really appreciated). COVID made us feel like we lacked some control in regards to our wedding (will it happen, won't it happen!?) but Jess and Starr were reassuring, confident and knew exactly what to do to bring the party!! They also worked with us to include their new photo booth which was SUCH a blast!!

Booking them was the best decision we made

JessB and Starr were incredible. They were super organized and responsive during the lead up to our party. They helped us clarify what we wanted not only for the music but also for the whole flow of the event. During the actual party Starr was the MVP. Not only was she the best MC we could ask for, she was also putting out fires all night without us even knowing. We found out later that she was quietly making sure everything was running smoothly, including picking up the slack from our coordinator, and placating our slightly drunk and acting out relatives. And, most importantly, JessB made sure the music was PERFECT throughout the whole event. The dance floor was packed and everyone had an amazing time thanks to JessB and Starr. We added the photo booth at their suggestion and it ended up being a huge hit. And we got copies of all the super cute and silly photos at the end of the night. It was really fun to go through them all the next day after all the craziness was done. We absolutely recommend JessB and Starr for your event!

No one can compare.

These two were hands down the most extraordinary people to work with for our wedding. I didn’t have to worry about anything and they were on top of everything. We had a beautiful monogram and uplighting. Everyone was dancing and having a good time the entire time. I had people come up to me all night saying they never met anyone like these two . I really want to empathize this though. My dress broke half way through the dinner and out of no where Star came up with a little emergency box and I was fixed right there. The games, the laughs , and the memories are the most priceless moments that I will remember forever.

So helpful and professional

Jess and Starr were phenomenal on our big day. They rolled with this particular brides "wants and didnt want". They were flexible with our timeline and kept us informed each step of the way. The two are a wonderful pair together and everyone was so impressed. I have gotten notes from some of our other vendors stating that it was so incredibly helpful to have that coordinator element and to be kept so informed throughout the evening! Amazingly fun time

I contacted Jess and Starr after pushing my wedding out 2 years because of Covid and they were super responsive and so helpful! After changing our wedding date 5 times and 2 of those times with them, they were absolutely amazing! I would recommend them to everyone I know about to get married.

The party was more Lit than Coachella

If you want your wedding to be remembered for being the best party they’ve ever gone to , Jess and Star are you squad for hire! More than just a DJ

Jess and Star were an integral piece of our wedding success. They both made sure our wedding parties were comfortable and had everything we needed before walking down the aisle. Star was amazing and coordinated our processional into the wedding and even had a survival kit for any last minute dress mishaps. Jess and star both made sure our music was exactly what we wanted and played all of our requests throughout the night. I am still continuing to get comments about how amazing they were and their clever ways to get people on the dance floor and to make sure we got pictures with all of our guests. Amazing wedding thanks to these DJs!

My husband and I couldn't be happier with the service we received from Jess and Starr @ Turning Music into Memories! We hired them back in 2019 for our originally planned 4/4/20 wedding and well, then covid shut everything down. They stood by us through THREE additional rescheduled dates until we could finally have the wedding we imagined on 4/2/22. They were the absolute best decision we made for our wedding! They took care of everything from the uplighting, to the awesome mirror photobooth which our guests loved, and of course all of the particulars for music we selected for both the ceremony and reception. Starr got everyone on their feet even those guests that I would've never imagined! They both kept the evening fun and lively and ensured we had the best time. Our guests were so impressed with them and sang their praises all night! I can't recommend them enough for any event, there's just no way you can go wrong with Jess and Starr!

Amazing!

When we started planning our wedding, we knew how important picking a DJ was for our day! I found Jess and Starr through a family friend who had them DJ their wedding! The COVID wedding that finally happened!

Jess & Starr do it all! First off, I had to reschedule my wedding 4 different times due to COVID and they stuck with us the whole time which was just phenomenal. Jess & Starr were just as excited for our wedding to come as we were since it was such a long time coming! They made the entire planning process so easy & day of, I literally had no worries because they were so on top of everything. Not only were they an incredible DJ team, but they also fixed my make up, gave me perfume when I realized I forgot it, and overall made sure that we had a blast throughout the night while also keeping us on schedule to do everything we wanted to do. The music was perfect, they had everyone dancing and having a phenomenal time. Everyone told us it was the best wedding they’d been to, and it was due to the efforts of Jess and Starr for making everything so seamless. They were absolute rockstars. The amount of effort, love and energy they gave to us made our wedding an absolute blast. I would recommend them for any event!!

There’s so much I can say about how wonderful Jess and Starr made our day. Even before our reception, they were so thoughtful, helped us ensure we had all the special songs we wanted/needed, we’re so easy to chat with, and listened to our requests of what we didn’t want played(just about as important as those songs you really want played). The day of they were on time, professional, and most importantly....FUN! Starr got everyone excited about the party, and Jess ensured the guests had the music they wanted, and kept the excitement alive. Our dream wedding.

Absolutely incredible. Booking with JessB and Starr was one of if not the best decisions we made for our wedding. Neither of us are the type to get the party started but we didn't have to worry about that at all with these two. Jess and Starr got the party going and kept it going for the whole event. Several of our guest complimented us on the wedding and the overall atmosphere throughout the night. These DJs lead a few quick games, like the tik tok photo challenge, for us and our guests that lead to some fantastic memories and pictures. They made our wedding night special, something to remember and I left with a very happy wife. Thank you to you both.

My wife and I attended a wedding awhile back where Jess and Starr were the DJ’s. When we decided to get married, there’s was no question that we wanted them for our wedding. They were outstanding!! Truly the best!

Turning Music into Memories - oh this is SO TRUE!

Our wedding truly would not have been the same without Starr & Jess. They are so easy to work with and truly try to get to know each couple so they can deliver the best experience. This is a lengthy post but if you want know what makes them so special and different than other DJs, read on…

My (now) wife and I originally booked Turning Music into Memories in 2019 for a 2020 wedding. Due to Covid, we decided to reschedule our wedding date. They were not only quick to respond, but also understood and were extremely flexible.

Fast forward to our wedding in 2021. In the weeks before our wedding date, we had a long phone conversation, and they were extremely helpful by giving us guidance and direction surrounding our timeline of events. They also gave us clear direction & expectations on the music needed throughout the ceremony, introductions, dinner and reception.

Most importantly, on our wedding day they delivered in a big way. We knew they would be amazing but are still blown away at how awesome they truly are and how much they went above and beyond to make our reception perfect. Our guests are still raving about how quickly they got the party started and kept it going all night long.

Starr & Jess work so well together. Like most weddings, there is a timeline. Sticking to that timeline is the hardest part. Both of them not only got our party started and kept it rockin’ all night, they also checked in with us multiple times & did everything possible to keep the night on schedule so we had as much time to dance as possible. We truly cannot say enough about them & if we were to do it all over again, we’d hire them in a heartbeat! Thank you, Starr & Jess for making our night truly special. We’ll forever remember you both when we look back on our wedding day.

Phenomenal

Jess and Starr were beyond amazing. We booked with them pre-covid, and had to reschedule due to it, but luckily they were still available. They are super flexible and will do whatever it takes to work with their clients. You can tell this isn’t just a job for them, they are passionate about what they do, and love working with people! They are professional, but also easy to talk to and connect with so it makes the process so much more smooth. There weren’t any awkward pauses between songs, all the special dances were spot on. Jess can really read the crowd and play music accordingly. The dance floor was packed all night! Starr was beyond amazing. She was a wedding coordinator and MC all in one. As soon as they got to the ceremony, Starr took control and we were never stressed after that. She made sure we all looked good, we’re relaxed, in the right places at the right time, and ready to go! She did a phenomenal job hyping the crowd up at the reception, and keeping the energy high all night. I honestly could no imagine our day without them. We will be forever grateful for them!!!

Amazing!!!

Jess and Starr were the absolute best! From party music, to sewing my dress back into place, having gum at the last second before taking that walk down the aisle, hair spray when my hair was going crazy, to taking a shot before the night was over, we have been dealing with Jess and Starr for 3 years(due to covid) and I wouldn’t have had it any other way! Worlds best DJ and MC

Words cannot describe how amazing this company is! Jess and Starr went above and beyond for our wedding on June 12 2021. From Jess keeping music going and upbeat bringing the fun to the party. To Starr going above and beyond the MC standards, constantly double checking my make up was on point to running out to get more cupcakes because the bakery didn't deliver them all! Starr helped get people to the dance floor and make sure I was enjoying myself all day long. Day time weddings are hard work a lot of people tend to not dance and at least a few times the dance floor was full and people were having a blast. I highly highly recommend them to anyone looking for an awesome fun DJ and MC Thank you again from the bottom of my heart you guys are amazing.

I have so many amazing things to say and not a single negative comment! We picked Jess and Starr based on a recommendation and pricing without ever meeting them or seeing them in action. We had them booked for as long as our engagement (2.5 years) and throughout that whole time they were both SO kind, SO thoughtful and SO responsive. We officially met them through zoom a month before our wedding and loved them even more! They went above and beyond all of our expectations and what they signed up for. Last minute they worked so hard to get us a mash up mix so we can end the night in a fun way. Countless guests and vendors provided compliments of how much they loved our selection for a DJ. They were personable, funny, and were just like family. They interacted with our loved ones as if they were their own. They were on point with everything and communicated with us every step of the way. I didn’t have to worry about anything. Everyone had so much fun and people requested their info to hire them for future events. At the end of the night, they even invited us to visit their home to meet their kids and dog. An amazing fun wedding to remember!!!

Jess and Starr know how to party!

On top of being absolute professionals, Jess and Starr are also just really easy-going but more importantly, fun people! When our original wedding was modified in every way possible, they kept us calm like it was no big deal. They were super facilitating and jumped on video calls whenever we had questions. They were a big part of making our wedding amazing. They claimed that every person at our wedding would be dancing on song #1. That's quite the claim... but it happened!!! My wife and I were amazed given the few guests we were SURE wouldn't be up there. We now consider them friends.

Best dj and mc ever!!!

I don’t even know where to start. Jess and Starr made our wedding experience beyond what I could have imagined! My DJ cancelled on me a few months before my wedding and I found Jess and Start online, had a phone interview and fell in love with their personalities! They were exactly what we needed for our wedding day! They kept our timeline even though I kept ruining it by going for more pictures haha but they always brought me back and kept us in line. Everyone was on the dance floor all night and I never laughed and danced so long and hard in my life. I truly thank both of them for being a part of the best day of our lives. There was a lot of rollercoaster emotions that day due to covid and they made it feel like a breeze. I truly cannot thank them enough. Recommend them 100 times over!!!

October 11, 2020 Wedding!

As we all know, planning a wedding for 2020 is NOT easy. Jess and Starr we’re absolutely amazing throughout the entire process and made everything feel so simple. They even made a custom mash up song for my dance with my father. They were both so attentive to us the day of the wedding, they made sure everything was going exactly the way we wanted. Better Than I Could Have Hoped For

We had Jess & Starr at our 10-3-20 wedding and I truly wish I had the words to express how incredible they were. They made a covid wedding actually fun while still being safe. They helped get our guests moving, had us playing the newlywed game, and directed us on where to be and when. Throughout the night, guests were coming up to tell me how incredible the DJ's were. They were so encouraging, fun, and kind. Jess even sent me a few pictures she took after the wedding, beautiful shots I deeply appreciated. During the planning process, their portal was easy and helpful. And when it came to the day BEFORE the wedding, when we realized the timelines were off with what the venue provided and what I provided the DJ's...they easily bounced back and were able to accommodate. On a professional level they were everything we could have needed for our wedding and on a personal level they were two of the most genuine people I've ever met! I couldn't recommend them to anyone more highly!!

Truly amazing experience.

We hired Jess and Starr because we wanted a DJ familiar with our wedding venue. They went above and beyond! As a covid wedding, we knew it would be unique because no dance floor was allowed. They had guests dancing in their seats during dinner, and afterwards while socially distant around the campfire people were singing and dancing. The day was perfect! The music selection was perfect. They rocked it. Not only were they responsive, flexible and understanding with our covid wedding needs, they love what they do and they are amazing at it! If we do it again with a bigger guest list, we'd hire them in a heartbeat!

Jess and Starr are absolutley amazing to work with. They're like family at this point! Their set up looked awesome, they were on time, the sound was spot on and they were both awesome with the guests! They really went above and beyond to assist with ANYTHING I needed while planning during this pandemic and all of the last minute changes. Starr stepped in and coordinated everything that I needed for me. She even went above and beyond to ensure that my Dad ( who is ill) was part of the entire process, certain pictures were taken of us and he was part of the action. Things that I totally forgot about but she didn't. They truly both went above and beyond for us and we are so appreciative of both of them for that. Worth every penny !

When hiring Jess and Starr it was like hiring friends to DJ our wedding. They are the kindest and most down to earth women! They were so good with our daughters too. More importantly, their services are excellent. Our wedding was small and not many dancers, they knew to play to the tune of our crowd. While planning our wedding, Jess took the time to go over everything we wanted and made sure to deliver it on our day. Our package included up lighting and a personalized animated monogram, these touches COMPLETED the atmosphere we were looking for! So many compliments!! Plus, my daughter thinks Starr has awesome hair ;) . They met our expectations and more. So happy we hired them!

Chateau Vie (Walnut Cove, NC) 3-14-2020

Let me just say; these ladies MADE our wedding! From their generosity at the onset of our wedding, so the very final moments of it—-they were so professional, confident, FUN, and PROS at what they do. They attended the rehearsal day to ensure they knew the lay of the venue and where they would set up, they helped to navigate lineups and protocol, and gave us reassurance that all would work out. Wedding day arrives; they show up early and help even with day of coordination. When I (bride 1 of 2) had a last minute dress emergency Starr ran uphill (in HEELS!) to save the day! After 30 min of panicking and three people assisting she jumped right in and fixed it! She sent my down the hill to ceremony and Jess was there waiting with my guests and keeping them entertained! They held my guests interest with music and mic services during the ceremony, and started the party during the reception! Even though we had some last minute requests (like bridal party announcements) they easily accommodated us and made it happen! When there could have been gaps, or lulls in the reception, Starr jumped in and helped it all to flow. EVERYONE, (and I mean everyone!) absolutely loved these two! I cannot tell you how many people asked us about them! The Music selection and timing was EVERYTHING! I have zero complaints and honestly can say if they hadn’t been there in my wedding day, it wouldn’t have been nearly as fun, organized, and AMAZING as it was! I feel like they’ll be friends for life and now I’m left wondering what event to plan so we can bring them back down to NC ?! 🥳 Absolutely number one vendor HANDS DOWN! These two are THE BEST!

Such fun music, incredible people

We had the BEST time at our wedding! Jess and Starr are so fun and amazing to work with! Their pricing was affordable, they were so helpful when planning, and so fun on the day of! We finished up dinner with a game for me and my husband that everyone thought was hilarious, and then kicked off dancing with another game to get people on the floor... And they got literally everyone out on the dance floor at the start of the night!! I couldn’t have been happier! All I wanted to do on my wedding day was dance with my friends and family, and I don’t think I would have enjoyed it as much with anyone else running the music! Music created memories, best DJs ever!

I've never been to a wedding that had so many people dancing until my own with DJ Jess and Starr. Everyone has been asking me for their info and how I found out about them. They go out of their way to make sure everything runs smoothly, and play every song you want to hear. They even got out and danced with us. They made my wedding reception! Time of my life

When planning our wedding alot of thought went into the vendors catering ,DJ venue theme ect. They took time to meet with us a few months prior to go over what we wanted told our story on how we met. Jess and Starr are and were unbelievable they listened to us and gave us suggestions which we took. The day of the wedding I ( the groom) was so nervous Starr took a few minutes to talk to me as I waited for my bride. The words she said to me calmed me down and she had someone get ne a shot. When the doors opened and I saw my wife to be I looked over at Jess and Starr and they looked so happy for us. I could not say enough about these two the ceremony was perfect and many of my guests said how good they were Starr got everyone out dancing some people up there surprised me. At the beginning of the night they were are DJ's at the end of the night they were are friends. One of the best decisions made were having these two to celebrate my wedding. I look forward to my next event to have them back

Surprise Masquerade Ball

Jessica and Starr are Amazing! I threw my girlfriend a surprise 30th Masquerade Ball on Nov. 2nd.

First of all, these two are the real deal. They are a complete Event Package. From the planning and decorations with Starr to the finishing touches and entertainment with Jessica they worked with me every step for over a month to give my girlfriend what she has coined as the best night of her life!

Starr is an amazing planner with great vision. She handcrafted ALL of the decorations. She was so professional and full of ideas. This was extra appreciated by myself given the fact I am not the least bit artistic.

On the night of the event, family members were late arriving to help set up. Starr and Jessica arrived extra early and took the initiative to set everything up including their own equipment. This in itself allowed the night to start on time.

Jessica's music selection was perfect! She was able to cater to a diverse crowd of guests including the guest of honor whose music is in another language!! She did an amazing job. All the guests were so happy to hear their favorite songs!

I highlyrecommend these two professionals to anyone who is throwing an event. They will arrive on time, they are so friendly and warm, you'd feel like they're 2 additional family members in attendance. They will make your guests happy with their professionalism and entertainment. They work hard the entire event and are worth every dollar and then some. I've worked with other services in the past due to my profession, however this is by far the best experience I've had so far. They will definitely be called on for my next event! Thank you Starr and Jessica.. great job!!

Jess and Starr are absolutely amazing. They were so attentive and communicated very well with our vendors and venue. They keep everyone on their toes with the good music & great vibes ! Their energy is just something you don’t wanna miss out on having on your most special day ♥️ I recommend these women for any & everything you need because i promise you, they will make it all about you. Such a fantastic duo!
