Amazing!!!

I used Michelle for my wedding this past weekend. She was absolutely amazing. She does a fantastic job on all different skin types. Myself and my wedding party all felt so beautiful. Incredible and personalized beauty experience!

What to say about Michelle?! There aren't enough positive words to describe the experience I had with her. She was so patient and kind during the booking process, and was super responsive to any messages I sent. When the pandemic hit, she was amazing at moving everything over to my new date without any hassle during an already draining time. It was a year and a half from booking to my trial and when we finally got to meet in person she was just as friendly and supportive as she'd been over messages. She made me, my mom, and my mother-in-law feel instantly comfortable in her home studio and took all the necessary safety precautions. Leading up to the wedding, she answered any questions I had and fielded lots of scheduling changes without batting an eye. And she could not have been more excited for me on the day of my wedding. She put together a little emergency kit for me to use (extra lip color, etc) which was really helpful. I absolutely loved my makeup and hair and it lasted all day. Michelle and her girls brought my beauty vision to life. The entire experience with her was perfect from start (2019) to finish (2021) and I am so glad that she was a part of my wedding day. Thank you endlessly Michelle and your team!!! You created such a perfect atmosphere for my bridal party and I to pamper ourselves and get ready to celebrate. You are so loved and appreciated!!! :)

Michelle is such a talented makeup artist! I first met Michelle at my sister-in-law’s wedding in 2016, and since then I knew I would use her and her team for my own wedding! She is so accommodating, flexible, friendly and easy to talk to. My entire bridal party looked beautiful and they all absolutely loved how their makeup came out! Perfect Wedding Day Makeup

Michelle and her team were professional, organized and pleasant to work with. My bridal party loved their looks and the airbrush lasted all day! Michelle was so easy-going and responded to my emails in a timely manor. She was wonderful and I could not be happier with the results. Michelle is Amazing!

Michelle was amazing for us ladies on my wedding day! She was professional and wore a mask the whole time. Makeup is a tough thing to do with social distancing but she went above and beyond to make sure that all of us felt safe and comfortable.

Equally as important, the makeup she did was beautiful!!! It turned out better than I had even hoped, especially since I don't usually wear makeup and was a little nervous about it. She was able to work with different skin tones (white, black, asian) and everyone just looked gorgeous!!

Michelle is a miracle worker!!!

My experience with Michelle was amazing. I did my makeup trial with her in the height of COVID and her professionalism and responsiveness was perfect. She worked with changes, adding girls, subtracting girls, changing locations, etc with ease and positivity. My girls and I looked absolutely flawless on my wedding day. I have pretty stubborn dark circles so was nervous that the makeup wouldnt measure up but Michelle comes PREPARED FOR ANYTHING. She made me look more beautiful than I ever thought possible. Would recommend her 10/10.

Indian-American Fusion Wedding

I recently got married, and my husband and I had two weddings, one Indian and one American, to honor both of our cultural traditions. Michelle did my make-up for both occasions. I cannot say enough about how amazing Michelle is - she is sweet, professional, prompt, maintains a clean work space, and is so so talented. I first met Michelle when I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding, and since that first experience, we each have hired her for our own weddings and events and referred her to others. She has done my makeup multiple times, and not only is her work beautiful, but her pricing is affordable. Michelle is also very flexible and understanding. Many people were traveling and/or expecting during our wedding, and she was accommodating in allowing me to book her giving only an estimated headcount. I would hire her again and again without hesitation.

AMAZING makeup. Truly talented!

Working with Michelle was a dream! I felt very confident in my decision to hire her after the trial. I've had my makeup done by other artists in the past as a bridesmaid and it was always just okay. After seeing my makeup from the trial, I was holding back tears because she made me feel so beautiful. She was one of the first vendors that I hired because I just had to have her be part of my big day. I had zero worries knowing that even if things went wrong during the wedding.. hey at least my makeup was PERFECT. Received so many compliments all night long and it photographed so so well.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about the quality of Michelle's work and artistry. I originally met Michelle as a bridesmaid in a friends wedding where she was doing the makeup and since then she has worked with many of my friends! Absolutely love her!

Michelle did my makeup at my best friends wedding and I knew I had to have her do my make up for my wedding! (I’m a very picky person when it comes to make up and she did it perfectly!) I had 10 girls in my bridal party and everyone said it was the first time they truly loved their make up at someone else’s wedding. She arrived on time, she was fast and efficient, yet you did not feel rushed what so ever. She made us all look gorgeous and the make up lasted all day/night long! I highly recommend Michelle. Amazing & talented

MICHELLE was hands down absolutely amazing from DAY 1 when I went for my trial to the day of the wedding 9-29-19. During the trial she worked with me to achieve a soft glam look I wanted and was able to make tweaks along the way. On the day of the wedding she was on time, fast, efficient with our time and most of all the quality of her work was amazing!!! She worked on almost my entire bridal party of 6 and made each one of my friends and family look glamorous! She made me look and feel beyond amazing and my makeup lasted through tears, kisses and dancing up until 1 am when I unfortunately had to wash my face to go to bed. She even gave me a little touch up kit that included a lip stick and makeup sponge for touch ups, If you do one thing right for yourself on your wedding day it’s hire Michelle!

Michelle is INCREDIBLE. Her work the day of my wedding was absolutely impeccable. She was prompt, efficient, and did some of the most beautiful work I've ever seen, a true artist. The best!!!

I wanted my make up professionally done for our engagement photo shoot and I am so happy I found Michelle. My pictures were around sunset time in CT (5:55pm) I got my make up done in NJ at 11:00am and after hours of traveling my make up still looked flawless for our engagement photo shoot!!! Michelle was so sweet, knowledgeable and gave me exactly what I wanted. I received compliments from my photographer, friends and family all evening yesterday on how beautiful my make up looked. Michelle is AMAZING. I love her and her work sooo much. She is definitely one of those artists who cares more about how her clients look like then about the money. You can tell that you are dealing with someone who loves what she does which is a big deal since it is going on your face. I hate getting my makeup done by people. I am a very simple person who rarely ever puts makeup so for me to trust Michelle means a lot. Not only did she make me feel and look like a princess on my special day but she did not make me look like a stranger. I have seen many people look different on their wedding day due to makeup and I was very picky about that. And not once did I doubt Michelle’s work. Not only was she able to make me look perfect but she made my mom and 2 sisters look absolutely stunning and finished just in time. Which is amazing, considering the fact that she never did a trial with them before. Michelle did an awesome job for my wedding day. I reached out to her via email and she was prompt in response. I did a trial with her b/c I never wear makeup and I didn't know what to expect. We talked through everything and she did a wonderful job. On wedding day, Michelle did makeup for me (bride) and my step mother and mother in law. I did not have a bridal party. She had set up our schedule the week before so all three of us knew what time she would be working with us. All three of us were beyond happy with the outcome. People just kept saying how simple but yet so eloquent we all looked. Michelle was patient with each of us, and was very flexible. I had a bunch of friends and family hanging out with us that morning, and she made great conversation while she worked, and everyone enjoyed her company. Don't look any further, as you would be missing out on the perfect makeup artist if you went with anyone else!

I was lucky enough to meet Michelle when she did all of the girls’ makeup for my sister’s wedding, and I knew instantly that I had to use her for my wedding too! She is so unbelievably talented and does such an amazing job. I always get nervous about getting my makeup done because I normally don’t wear a lot, but I knew I was in good hands with Michelle. Michelle was an absolute pleasure to have on our Wedding Day! She is very experienced and well prepared. She sends out a schedule and arrives at your house on time. Michelle is the best!! I was referred to Michelle by two separate brides after a very disappointing trial with a different artist. I was so happy to have found her because she really is the best at what she does! Not only is Michelle incredibly talented and passionate about makeup, but she is kind, thoughtful and easy to work with. She was on time, professional and organized. Michelle did my bridal makeup, and the makeup for the 7 other women with me on my wedding day (with the help of her assistant!). I had a Saturday night black tie wedding, but I don’t usually wear makeup. Michelle helped me achieve a very glamorous look that still looked neutral enough so I could feel like “me.” I was sooooo happy with the way it came out and my makeup lasted all night! I met Michelle when she did the makeup for my sister-in-law's wedding -- she did an awesome job there so it was a no-brainer for me to book her for my own wedding immediately after getting engaged! Michelle took her time with me during my trial, making sure to tweak things until they were exactly as I wanted. She also helped me find an amazing hairstylist -- Jess Ferrara -- for my March 17th wedding. My bridesmaids and I were all so happy with our makeup and hair, everyone looked absolutely beautiful and our styles lasted all day and night. I booked Michelle after seeing her work from another wedding I attended. Michelle is a true artist and a great vendor to work with. I had a trial a few months before the wedding - Michelle was very prompt, explained everything and worked to make sure we used to best colors, shades, etc. The day of, Michelle was on-time and on schedule with my bridal party. There's no reason you should be late to your wedding because of your hair/make-up artist :) I can't say enough positive things about the outcome of Michelle's work. She really made all of us look and FEEL beautiful! She's extremely professional, priced very fairly and I highly recommend!

I used Truebutterfleyes for my October 6th wedding and had such a great experience with both Michelle and Jamie. Both girls are so sweet, punctual and experts at what they do. They got through hair and makeup for two mothers, five bridesmaids and one bride in a relatively short amount of time and everyone looked amazing all night! We were all so impressed and happy with how we turned out -- selfies all night long! I would highly recommend Truebutterfleyes!!

Michelle is truly awesome, I am so happy she did the makeup for my wedding. Michelle was always punctual from the start. My schedule is so crazy and it's hard for me to schedule appointments, yet Michelle was able to accommodate my crazy hours and come to my house for the makeup trial. She is very professional, and truly listens to what her client wants and delivers 100%. Her prices are very reasonable, and she doesn't overcharge for unnecessary services like other salons do. On the day of the wedding, Michelle and her team were right on time. We had myself, 11 bridesmaids, 4 flower girls, about about 5 family members get their makeup done the morning of the wedding. All the girls looked beautiful and all the makeup was completed within schedule.

I would definitely recommend True Butterfleyes to any bride for her wedding as well as any other occasion. I will definitely be getting my makeup done with Michelle again for future occasions.

I would recommend Michelle in a heartbeat to any bride looking for a makeup artist! From the beginning, Michelle was extremely response and accommodating. At my trial, I explained how I wanted my wedding day makeup to be more dramatic than my every day look, but I still wanted to look like myself. Michelle was able to create exactly what I envisioned. During the time between my trial and my wedding day, she kept in contact with me to make sure everything was on track. She emailed a hair/makeup schedule for me and my girls which was extremely helpful in making sure everyone was ready when they needed to be the day of the wedding. My bridesmaids, mother and mother-in-law were all so happy with how their makeup turned out as well. Besides feeling absolutely beautiful, I was so at ease the morning of the wedding because everything was organized and ran so smoothly. Thank you again, Michelle!

I cannot say enough about Michelle and all she did to make my bridal trial/wedding day stress-free and pleasant! I reached out to Michelle to do my bridal trial and I immediately knew that she was who I wanted to do my makeup for my wedding. Anytime I emailed her with questions she answered immediately which reassured me that I had made the right choice. When I started to think about my trial I got nervous that since I was getting married in the summer I should switch my face makeup, she offered to do another trial-run for free to make sure we perfected it before the day of! Once my wedding day came, she was at my house by 6 am to get me, my 8 bridesmaids and my mom out the door in time for my 11 am church. She has the patience of a saint! We all got compliments throughout the day and even the days after about how great our makeup turned out. I would recommend Michelle to anyone, and if you have a large bridal party, trust me she can handle it!!!

Michelle and her assistant were amazing! Besides me (the bride), there were 9 bridesmaids and 2 mom's getting their makeup done the morning of my wedding before the church ceremony. Michelle was very prompt, arrived early, and set up quickly to have the first gal in the chair a.s.a.p. since there were a lot of us. The bridal party all LOVED their makeup. Michelle was very accommodating and flexible when it come to fulfilling what each gal had requested. Despite the rain, the day went so smoothly and it was so relieving as a bride to have such a great working makeup artist as Michelle along with her assistant! Highly recommended :)

I have such a trust issue with makeup and hair, as I'm sure many women do, and when it comes to your big day you want to look flawless. From my first trial with Michelle who did my makeup and Jamie who did my hair, I knew they were it! They were both amazing, so responsive and attentive to what I was hoping for. Now after the wedding, I am head over heels with how the day turned out and how beautiful they made me feel. You should feel the most beautiful on your wedding day and that goal was achieved. I am at a loss for words for how thankful I am to them for that day, and I am hooked on looking back at photos of the day and the prep. Talented is an understatement. My bridesmaids and our moms looked flawless as well. They all looked in the mirror and felt so glamorous. They were even able to accommodate my grandmother as a last minute request the day of. They arrived on time, unlike myself who was still rolling out of bed, and had us all ready on time. We used airbrush on everyone and it lasted the whole day, through multiple cries and hankie wipes. Michelle even provided a spare brand new lipstick in the color she used on me for me to have for the rest of the day. Let me tell you, I'm not a usual reapplier but that day it was so needed and it came in such handy!! Thank you so so much!!! If you want to feel stunning, please hire Michelle. She is the sweetest, I cannot say how much I loved working with her. 5 stars all the way!!

Stop searching for a makeup artist and book Michelle right now!!! She is fantastic! I am so blessed to have been able to spend my wedding morning with Michelle as well as Jess from her hair team (Jess is amazing and turns your vision to life!) I had my trial with Michelle back in February and knew right off the bat that I wanted her to do my makeup for my wedding day! She really listens to what you envision and truly cares about your concerns. She does both traditional or airbrush, I personally went with the airbrush and I looked flawless! She takes her time yet works at the perfect pace to ensure you will NOT be late for pictures etc. My bridesmaids were so happy with their makeup (and hair!!) that my sister-in-law said to me "I wish I knew them when I got married in May!" My mother and mother -in-law were going to do their own makeup up until they saw all of the girls and decided to get their makeup done and we STILL finished on time. ( They didn't want to look too "done up". They wanted a more natural look and when they saw Michele really listened to each bridesmaid's request, they couldn't help themselves!) She really has such a gift and an extraordinary talent, she is super sweet and fun to be around! I am definitely going to book her for future events!!

Michelle is an amazing make-up artist and wonderful person. Not only is she extremely talented, she's such a sweet person and an absolute pleasure to work with. She made me look the most beautiful I've ever been. Michelle has the ability to enhance your look and keep it natural. I felt so gorgeous. I received so many compliments on my makeup. I got my makeup done around 9:00am on an extremely hot July day. My makeup looked flawless the whole day and throughout the night. Michelle's rates are extremely reasonable for her talent. I've seen a lot of other rates from friends and others getting wedding makeup and feel she is extremely fair. Her equipment is clean and sanitary as well. I would highly recommend her services! On an important day, you don't want to have to worry about your vendors - Michelle is someone who will put you at ease and relax you. I felt completely confident in her work and her talent.

Michelle did the make up for my wedding. She did an amazing job with the bridal party and with my make up! Michelle was fantastic! As soon as I contacted her she was responsive. We set up a trial right away and she even traveled to me for it. I signed Michelle on for myself, 2 moms, and 5 bridesmaids. On the day of the wedding Michelle was prompt and professional all day as she worked around all the craziness going on and was even helpful and accommodating when our photographers and videographers wanted to take some footage of us getting make up done. I was recommended to Michelle from my hair stylist. I am very particular when it comes to makeup and was nervous about a trial for my wedding as my husband does not like too much make up. Michelle made me feel at ease and gave me exactly what I was looking for. We went with the air brush which was light weight and stayed on all night. I still looked like myself without the look of caked on foundation!! She also did some of the bridesmaids and my mother and they all looked beautiful. Everyone was commenting on how beautiful the makeup looked. I will definitely be recommending Michelle to other brides and even hope to use her for future events!! Michelle last did my makeup for my birthday dinner, but I've hired her for shoots as well to make up a broad range of models. As usual, she was patient, calm, wonderful and easygoing, and not pushy at all. Her work is beautiful and she really excels with skin (I have problematic skin and she's made it look so good when she's done my face) and dramatic, or even more natural, eye makeup, in my opinion. She's always calm and kind as well, and gets along with a variety of personalities, which is key in stressful situations. Michelle is super versatile in her skill set additionally, able to deliver a smoky eye, a more natural and modern look, classic bridal makeup or retro styles matched to the clients' features easily and flawlessly. A + and a super sweet person to boot!

Michelle is amazing!! I am not one to wear a lot of make-up and had never had my make-up professionally done prior to my trial with Michelle so I was uncertain of what to expect. Michelle reassured me that she would take good care of me and that she did! Michelle was willing to try different things at my trial to make sure I had my make-up just as I wanted. Michelle was always touching base to make sure things were running smoothly, she set up a schedule a few weeks prior to make sure everything was perfect, and was prompt to respond to any questions I had. On the day of my wedding, Michelle was on time and did such a wonderful job on 7 bridesmaids, my mom, and myself. With so many girls and having to be ready by 12, Michelle brought along Sandra who also did an awesome job. They made such a great team. Michelle was so flexible, helpful, and her prices are reasonable! We all got our make-up airbrushed and everything lasted throughout the entire night, smiles, sweat, tears, and all! She even gives a MAC lipstick to the bride for lip touchup throughout the night. Michelle rocks and I would definitely use her services again in the future!

Michelle and her assistant did the make up for my bridal party (and me!) for our August 2015 wedding. When I was looking for a make up artist I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted, but after reading other reviews and learning Michelle's excellent pricing (it's honestly the best I've seen!), I scheduled my trial and I'm so happy I did! Michelle is a true professional! I don't typically wear much make up so she was willing to sit with me and look at pictures and try out different options. It all worked out perfectly and I was so happy with my airbrush make up. On the day of the wedding, Michelle and her assistant did the make up for my full bridal party and me (11 people in total!). They worked tirelessly and did such an excellent job. Everyone was thrilled with the outcome and everyone's make up held up throughout the night. Thank you, Michelle, for doing such an amazing job! Michelle was absolutely outstanding. She is a true artists with tons of talent and professionalism. She did both my make-up for my engagement photos and for my wedding. My make-up was perfect for both. My engagement photos were over 3 hours on a hot day in New York City. My make-up stayed flawless from 7am through dinner and until I went to sleep. My wedding day was the same. My make-up was beautiful all day and night. Guests even asked me if I had my make-up retouched before the reception as there was a 3 hour gap where we did photos outside on another hot day. Michelle's work was amazing for my entire wedding party, which had every skin type and color. She was always punctual, answered every email promptly, and was flexible with any change I had. I've been to my share of weddings and have had different make-up artists and hair/make-up artists. Michelle has been by far the best. I will continue to use Truebutterfleyes for any event that I need make-up for.

I first met Michelle in September of 2014 when I was the maid of honor at my best friend's wedding. She did an amazing job on all of the girls! I was engaged at the time and was looking for someone who was willing to travel to my house and do makeup for myself my mother and 5 bridesmaids, once I had met Michelle it was clear that she was the perfect choice!

For my wedding makeup trial she made sure I absolutely loved my look before she moved on. This made the wedding day stress free because I was already confident that she would make me look beautiful! On the day of, she even brought a brand new lipstick matched to the color she had mixed during my trial. She is SO sweet and a pleasure to work with! Michelle is a highly skilled makeup artist who executed beautiful wedding makeup for brides, bridesmaids, and mothers of the bride/groom! I hired Michelle for my NYC wedding and from the beginning she was professional and knowledgeable about wedding makeup. She traveled to my apartment to do my trial and immediately put me at ease with her expertise and kind demeanor. Her prices are more than reasonable too! I decided to use false eyelashes and airbrushing and everything turned out perfectly. Somehow Michelle was able to make me look glamorous and natural at the same time. She was patient with my pickiness too; we went through 25 different shades of lipstick before I settled on one. I am obsessed with what she does with the eyes. Michelle was absolutely wonderful from day 1. I heard back immediately every time I emailed her and she was extremely flexible considering I lived farther away from her. Michelle was super sweet, on time and did everything I wanted! From the day I met her on my trial she was super accommodating and really knew her stuff!! She brought another girl to help do my bridesmaids make-up. They were both so wonderful. All my girls looked beautiful and I have to say that's the best I've ever looked. She was affordable and I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

From the moment I was in touch with Michelle she was wonderful to work with. I had a complicated schedule and she was very accommodating when booking my trial. Michelle made everything seamless and was very responsive to emails.

I wasn't sure what look I wanted for my wedding and actually changed it between my trial and the actual wedding day and Michelle had no problem with changing the look. I greatly appreciated her flexibility and her want to perfect the look I wanted.

Michelle is very talented and I, and my entire bridal party, was beyond ecstatic with our makeup. She was really able to nail the look everyone wanted and was SO pleasant to work with. I whole heartedly recommend Michelle and hope I have the opportunity to work with her again.

If you are looking for a reliable and talented makeup artist look no further. I booked Michelle about a year and a half before my wedding and could not have been happier with her services from beginning to end. She has excellent communication, is so nice, and was always on time for every appointment and trial leading up to the big day. On my wedding day she came with an assistant (who was also amazing) and they worked together to finish 9 girls in a timely fashion and everyone looked amazing. We got so many comments about how great our makeup looked. Thank you for everything - you are truly one of a kind and I would recommend you to anyone and everyone in a heartbeat!!!!

When I went looking for a makeup artist it wasn't easy. I am incredibly picky. I do wedding makeup myself. I found Michelle at True Butterfleyes and really liked her reviews and from the moment we emailed it was great. I had my trial and it was PERFECT. I am a PIA and she was amazing. Patient, really listened and worked long to make sure she captured the look I wanted. On my wedding day, she was prompt, her timing plan was perfect and she did my Makeup absolutely wonderful. Everyone raved about it. My Mom, and 4 of my bridesmaid all came out amazing. The airbrush and the standard foundation both lasted all night. Michelle and I became instant friends and I am so thrilled to have such a talented new friend. She is worth every penny. Quality Products, an incredibly sweet person who will listen to you and make you comfortable - she heightens your beauty and makes you picture perfect. I can't state enough what high standards I have as I do this myself and she exceeded them. I have had my makeup done a few times and no one ever came close to her!!

First off Michelle is absolutely amazing! Her work is incredible and she has a wonderful personality. I remember saying to her on the day that I couldn't have chosen better people to be around to help me get ready for the big day. Michelle was great with my bridesmaids, I had chosen to do a pink range for them and she made it work so well with all of their skin types. She was also incredible with both Mom’s. Michelle had given me a schedule for the day, which she not only stuck to but was able to finish up with the rest of the bridal party quicker so she had more time for me. The makeup was stunning, I couldn't have been happier! I received numerous complements on how beautiful it was. Choosing a makeup artist was a difficult process for me. I had a few trials done but none of the artists could quite understand what I wanted. Michelle understood me straight away, we had a discussion of what I wanted and during the trial she would stop at certain points to make sure I was happy. She also gave me different options, doing the eyes differently so that I could see the affects. Michelle was very patient and took her time. Unfortunately my skin had a bad reaction to one of the products that was used. This was the first time this had ever happened to Michelle, she then went out of her way to help me find products that would work. Which I really appreciated. She did a second trial for us to narrow down the problem and then a third to make 100% sure that there were no further complications. Michelle is truly a wonderful person, she puts you at easy and is very warm and kind hearted. I would recommend her again and again. Thank you Michelle for making me look so beautiful and helping to make my dream come true!

Michelle did my bridal makeup for my wedding in August and I COULD NOT have been happier or more pleased!!!!!!
It was absolutely beautiful, stunning, and perfect for my wedding day. I couldn't have gotten more compliments on how perfect my makeup looked! She was so pleasant to work with, very professional, and extremely easy to get in contact with!
Getting my makeup done was nerve wracking for me because I'm so particular, but I could not have picked a better make up artist. She did a fantastic job!! She spent so much time and did touch ups for everyone right before pictures.
My bridesmaids also couldn't stop raving about how beautiful their makeup looked either! My best friend is a wedding photographer and has seen many makeup artists work on different brides and she even exclaimed how Michelle was one of the best she had seen!
I would highly recommend her to anyone!!! She's a wonderful person and is fantastic at what she does! Made me feel stunning for my wedding day!

Choosing Michelle at Truebutterfleyes was the BEST decision I made planning my wedding. Not only is Michelle a talented make-up artist, but she is patient, flexible and kind. She will not stop until you have the look you want even if it means doing your make-up multiple times during the trial or rescheduling another trial date. She promptly returns phone calls and emails (which was one of my biggest gripes on my search) and confirms everything with you well in advance (instead of you having to confirm with her...when your brain is fried from all the wedding planning and you remember nothing!).

My bridesmaids also loved her work (and never had a trial) and all looked exquisite. And what is probably 2 of the most important things for all the bride-to-be's out there, is that her prices are some of the best I encountered on my search for make-up artists AND my make-up never budged. Seriously, it took me 4 days to finally remove all the eye make-up and trust me, you need monsoon-proof on your wedding day! :)

I will be sure to use Michelle again for any of my make-up needs and will be referring her to anyone that is looking for a make-up artist. She is most professional, incredibly talented and one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Thank you so much Michelle for making me look and feel so very beautiful for the most wonderful day of my life!

Michelle was one of the best vendors I worked with for my wedding. She responded very promptly to all of my emails, was very flexible when I added/changed appointments and when I needed a last minute location change the day of the wedding. She even managed to fit in another bridesmaid not originally scheduled on the day of my wedding and still have everything done on time. All of my bridesmaids loved their makeup and so did I. Michelle worked with me to make sure I loved my makeup and even found a perfect lip color for me in between my trial and the wedding. I loved it! Michelle was also so incredibly sweet and just a joy to have around while we were getting ready. Highly recommend!

Michelle was fantastic!! I contacted Michelle about six months before my wedding about a makeup trial. She was always professional and responded right away. She came to my house for the trial and I loved her! She understood exactly what I wanted and made sure I was 100% happy before she left. Prior to the wedding she set up a schedule with time slots to make sure all 8 of my bridesmaids were done on time. The day of the wedding she was on time and her scheduling could not have been better. She asked questions and listened to what each girl wanted. Everyone looked beautiful and loved their makeup. She is so great to work with and I truly could not have been happier.

I hired Michelle to do my makeup and my bridal party's makeup for my wedding. We had a lot of people getting makeup done so she brought another artist with her. Everyone was so happy with both of them and loved the way their makeup turned out. Michelle is absolutely lovely and a pleasure to have around on your wedding day. I did a trial with her, and she worked with me until we got it just perfect. She is also very responsive, which I truly appreciate as that was not my experience with other vendors. I would definitely recommend hiring Michelle for your wedding or special event. You will not be disappointed!

I had a hard time finding the right makeup artist for my wedding. I had several trials and was not completely happy with them. I was about to settle & then I came across Michelle. I had my trial with her and knew that I had finally found the MUA I wanted for my wedding. During the trial, Michelle really listened to all of my concerns & issues that I had with previous trials. She was patient and willing to work with me to achieve the look I wanted. I felt really comfortable with her and she was so professional!

On the day of the wedding, Michelle arrived on time and ready to work her magic on myself, 4 BMs, and 2 mothers. She was able to make up all seven of us, by herself, with time to spare! She was super friendly with everyone and was calm throughout the whole process.

The makeup she did came out GORGEOUS!! I got airbrush done and I felt so amazing & beautiful and most important I still looked like myself! All of the girls and our mothers' makeup came out gorgeous as well! Everyone looked amazing and we were all very pleased with the results.

The makeup also lasted all through the day & night! When I got back to the hotel room at night, the makeup still looked so pretty I couldn't bare to wash it off.

I cannot thank Michelle enough for the wonderful job she did for us! She made me feel & look gorgeous on the best day of my life! She is amazing & so talented! I would definitely book her again for another special event!

Michelle was AMAZING! She was very quick to respond to emails, she was very prompt, and she was just so friendly and easy to work with. Michele was amazing! My make up lasted the entire 8 or 9 hours it was on. She was prompt and such a sweetheart!!! And the make up she did was exceptional!!! Michelle is amazing!! I can not say it enough! She saved my wedding day! To start I had a different makeup artist booked for my wedding but after a few weeks of her not responding to me I fired her and found Michelle about a week and a half before my wedding! She came over the very next day to do a trial on me and was 30 minutes early and all ready to go. She didnt mind spending the 2 hours on me perfecting my makeup just how I wanted it. She started off really light and keep adding more until it was just what I wanted. She is very professional and gets back to you right away. The day of my wedding my hair stylist never showed up and Michelle was there again half an hour early and had all her hair tools and did a beautiful job on both my flower girls and my hair along with all of our make up. Although she thought she was only going to be doing makeup the wedding day, she had no problem jumping in and doing all of our hair. I received so many compliments on both my hair and makeup I can not recommend her enough! Book with Michelle, you will not regret it!

I've had many different experiences with make-up artist but none compare to the services that Michelle provided. The day of the trial I found her work to be amazing! I was so impressed with her job that I booked her immediately on the spot! The day of my wedding she made me feel flawless! The make-up was not over-done and had a natural beauty to it. Michelle was absolutely amazing on my wedding day! She came recommended to me by a friend. We had 9 girls in total getting their makeup done, and everyone's makeup turned out fabulous!! Not only did everyone look perfect, she was sooooo easy to work with! She was very responsive from the beginning and helped put together the timeline for the day. On the wedding day, she was right on time, and when I was a little behind schedule, she made sure we all still finished exactly on time. She was so calm and patient throughout the whole day. Right before my makeup trial, it started snowing pretty heavily. I just expected Michelle to be at least a couple minutes late as a result (I live in jersey city, so it can be tough to find parking also), but to my surprise, she was actually early! I told her that I wasn't expecting her to actually be on time due to the weather and it being around rush hour but she replied, "I am really cautious about being on time so I like to plan to be early," which gave me a ton of confidence in her work ethic. Anyway, the makeup trial went just ok to be honest. The lighting in my bathroom (where we were conducting the trial) was not very flattering and things just didn't look right outside as a result. But Michelle insisted that she stay until we got the look right! I booked her for my wedding based on that experience, but also did another makeup trial closer to my wedding as a sanity check, using a room with more natural light to fine tune the look. When she showed up on my wedding day, she did such an amazing job on me and my girls. She also gave me lip gloss to carry all night, and it was the good stuff!! I just felt amazing the whole day/night thanks in large part to her! And she is such a sweet person to work with!!! I absolutely recommend Truebutterfleyes.

Michelle is everything you want in a wedding vendor. She was so responsive and easy to work with before my wedding. I did a trial with her very early one morning at my parents house, and she arrived early and was eager to try different looks with me until we arrived at my favorite. From then until the wedding day she always responded to my emails within hours. On wedding day she arrived early and was all set up and ready to go by our agreed upon time. My makeup turned out beautifully - and so did my bridesmaids and MOB and MOG. She really listed to everyone and personalized our looks. She is also a very calming presence, and really made me feel at ease. I give her my highest recommendation!

Michelle was AMAZING!

For starters I was looking for a makeup person for a long time before I found her! I called a bunch of artists who didnt even bother to call me back! Michelle got back to me right away and set up a trial within days!

She actually came for two trials because after I told all my girls how great she saw they all wanted to try her out and use her on the wedding day!

On the wedding day she was AMAZING! She traveled to the hotel and was right on time, she got herself all settled and STAYED THE WHOLE DAY! She dealt with all the craziness of a bridal suite with 7 girls plus family running all around getting ready.

We did pictures before the wedding so she made us all perfect and then waited around for us to be done to touch us up for the ceremony, even tho I was the only one who needed a little touch up as I am a very sappy bride !

THEN she waited around again to touch us up after the ceremony! Again none of my girls even needed to be touched up!

We also had a bunch of different girls getting done and she was great giving them each one the style they wanted and didnt over make anyone! She has great timing also! All of us were done perfectly on time!!

I would use her again and again and again if I got married every week! haha!

Seriously I 100% recommend!

Michelle is a fantastic makeup artist. Her calm demeanor and professionalism was apparent from the first time I met her at my makeup trial. I knew I wanted her present while I was getting ready for my wedding.
Not only did my whole bridal party look beautiful, but she was able to do makeup for 11 ladies! Such a trooper.
Michelle really listens to what you want and makes sure you love your makeup. I never felt like she would take offense if I asked her to change something (which I never had to).
I highly recommend Michelle as a wedding makeup artist. You will be lucky to have her as a part of your special day.

Finding a makeup artist for my Wedding Day proved to be one of the most difficult tasks for me. I found Michelle while researching vendors on WeddingWire and I am thrilled that I found her. From the moment I met her at the trial I knew I wanted to have her there for the Wedding Day. She was early for the trial and did a fantastic job! She was so sweet and easy to chat with!

On the day of the wedding she told me she would arrive at 6:45AM to setup and be ready to start working on the 9 girls at 7AM. Michelle was there at EXACTLY 6:45AM. She did such a fantastic job on all 9 of us (bride, 2 MOH, 4 Bridesmaids, MOB, MOG). Everyone looked absolutely stunning and was thrilled with the job that she had done. She stayed until just as I was getting dressed to make any final touch ups that any of us may have needed. I am so happy that I had Michelle there with us on my Wedding Day!

Michelle was fantastic! I set up my trial and we discussed different ideas and she gave me a few different looks to choose from. Also i had my 4 month old that needed attending to a few times during the trial and she was wonderful when i had to go ofer and calm her down. The day of, she came to my hotel room got me relaxed and did a great job on my makeup. I forgot we had decided on a lipstick and when I questioned it was very calm and reassuring about possibly changing it, I didn't. Michelle was great and I would use her again for an important event.

Michelle did my hair & make-up for my daughter's first birthday. It was a very special day and she understood immediately that I was not going for a wedding or prom look but a classy chic hairstyle and delicate make-up. Michelle was absolutely wonderful! I had made a ton of phone calls for makeup because I was pretty clueless and she was the most responsive, friendly, flexible and had such an affordable price. I booked her right after my trial because there was no need to shop around after that! Michelle came to my mom's house the morning of the wedding and did airbrush makeup for my mom, sister (MOH) and I. We all loved how it came out! The wedding day was very tearful (happy tears!) from the time of the ceremony, to the first dances, to the goodbyes and thank yous at the end of the night and our makeup did not budge once! It still even looked good the following morning! I would recommend her services to anyone looking for a makeup artist who is easy to work with and truly cares that you have a perfect day.
