I had such an amazing experience with this beauty team for my wedding! Davey absolutely nailed my makeup, it looked flawless in person and photographed beautifully all day and night without feeling heavy. Kristi did my hair and completely brought my vision to life. She put in clip in hair extensions too which looked so good.
Nicole did my spray tan and it turned out so natural and even. It was the exact bridal glow I wanted without looking orange or streaky. I’ve had many spray tans and this was the best one. And Sarah, the beauty coordinator, was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She was organized, responsive, and made everything feel stress-free from start to finish.
I truly felt so beautiful and taken care of on my wedding day. After having a bad trial elsewhere, I felt so lucky to find Davey & his team. I would recommend this team to any bride looking for talented artists and amazing customer service!

Davey and Melanie did a fabulous job for my wedding day. Davey's work is unmatched. The color matching, level of detail, and artistry speaks for itself. I felt and looked amazing at my wedding. Melanie made every bridesmaid look incredible as well, with variety and flawless execution. Sarah was also very easy to communicate with and get a hold of for planning my bridal preview and other logistics. Davey and Melanie were even willing to come down to Culpeper which is where the wedding took place. I can't recommend True Colors Beauty enough. They are worth every penny, their work is impeccable. -

Great experience!
True Beauty did a fabulous job for my wedding and were pleasant to work with. Davey is a true talent, I had several makeup trials with multiple vendors and he was head and shoulders above the rest. I asked for a very natural/neutral look. My wedding day included 40 mph winds and my makeup was done by in the morning so I was nervous about how it would wear all day. Davey assured me it would look exactly the same all day and night until I took it off, and he was completely right! It looked as flawless at 11pm as it did at 11am. Kristi did my hair under similar weather challenges and it stayed and looked great despite being blown around. They were fun to have in the bridal suite as well and were willing to accommodate a smaller wedding party. 10/10 recommend! -

Truecolors did amazing, from the trial to the wedding day! They were extremely patient and flexible with the location. The stylist kept it fun and professional throughout the entire experience. The makeup artist did exactly what I was looking for with a full face of makeup and also kept it light and beautiful with my mother's makeup for my wedding day. And the hairstylist did amazing with last minute additions of hair pieces and making sure my hair held the curls! Definitely will be looking to them for any other special occasions! -

True Colors Beauty Co was amazing to work with for my wedding. From the trial all the way to my special day, they were very communicative and answered all my questions. Davey was absolutely fantastic. He gave me some skin care tips at my trial about how I can have the best application on the day of. I purchased his recommended products and followed his instructions. Day of- it made ALL the difference! I am now in love with these products that he recommended and I use daily. Davey was also great with my mom, who had never had her makeup done professionally. She was a bit nervous that she was not going to look like herself, but Davey did an amazing job highlighting her natural features while also giving her more of a sheer look that she asked for. The entire bridal party got many compliments all evening on the makeup look. Thanks for making my day so special! -

I absolutely couldn’t have chosen a better Makeup Team to get all the girls & I ready for the big day! They truly out did themselves from communication and timing. Mel did an amazing job at my makeup trial, I couldn’t stop looking at myself in the mirror! Davey is the absolute best! He is a total pro and incredibly talented as an artist. On top of everything else, he is just the kind of guy you want to spend your wedding day with! His team is wonderful and they bring the best energy. Also worth noting that this is the first and ONLY time my mother has not washed off her professional glam and redone it herself in 65 years of living. He really listens and executes according to all comfort levels with makeup so you still feel like 'you' ! -

True Colors Beauty Co. came highly recommended by a friend. I worked with Melanie for make up and Gigi for hair. Both Melanie and Gigi were so nice and conversational the morning of my wedding, it felt like I was talking to a friend, which helped calm my nerves. Both ladies checked in with me to make sure I was satisfied with the progress. Everyone in my wedding party looked fabulous-- we got so many compliments throughout the evening. True Colors did hair and make-up for me, my girls, and the moms the day of my wedding. They were great to work with from booking to trials to day-of. Davey did our makeup and Gigi did our hair. They are both so talented and sweet and fun to spend the first half of your wedding day with! Timing was perfect. They are both super efficient, listen to what you want, and everyone looked amazing. -

The best hair and makeup team in the DMV
Davey, Heather, Macie and Taylor are incredible! They are hands down the best glam team in the DMV. Davey and Heather made me feel like a princess bride and I have never felt more beautiful! My entire bridal party looked amazing and each of my bridesmaids agreed they have never had better hair and makeup (and we’ve been in quite a few weddings together). My suggestion to any bride is to book this team the minute you secure your venue and wedding date! You won’t be disappointed, no other team compares to them! -

Best Hair & Makeup Team!
I can't say enough good things about Mel and Kristi! They were the H|MU team for my wedding and they absolutely killed it. My hair and makeup were stunning, and stayed on perfectly the entire night. My bridesmaids looked amazing, too! The girls were so fun to talk to while we were getting ready and were very professional and made sure everything was just how we wanted it. Would definitely recommend them for your event! -

Excellent hair and makeup
Davey and his team did a phenomenal job on me and my bridesmaids on the wedding day. Everyone looked fantastic and felt their best. The thing I really appreciated about Davey was that after the trial I wasn’t thrilled with my look. I told him, and he was amazing about it. He didn’t get mad, instead he said “no problem, I’ve got you. Let’s try again and the retrial won’t be over until you love your look.” He was so patient and kind, and helped me find my wedding look. And on the wedding day - he nailed it! My now husband was thrilled with it (which is a big deal, because for months he had asked me to wear no makeup on the wedding day)! I had Gigi do my hair, and she did a phenomenal job as well! I felt beautiful and confident all day long! Thank you Davey, Gigi and the True Colors Team! -

Melanie and Macie were my wedding day glam team and I couldn’t recommend them more! They did an outstanding job with everyone’s hair and makeup and made everyone feel incredibly confident and beautiful. Melanie is a true artist and worked with ease across different skin tones and types. Macie is an incredible hairstylist and made sure everyone had their hair exactly how they wanted it. They got everything done within the timeframe we requested and did not rush anyone’s service. Could not recommend them more! -

Bridal Trial/Wedding
I used TrueColors Beauty for my wedding Memorial Day Weekend and I am SO glad I did. I had a pretty large bridal party, and they got 12 girls total ready with plenty of time to spare. I was obsessed with my bridal trial and my wedding day makeup, as well as the makeup on all of my girls. Davey is so kind, his passion for makeup truly shows. Davey and Mel were both amazing, I could honestly cry talking about how great they were. I recommend True Colors to all of my family and friends for their weddings and big events. I can’t wait for my next big event so Davey can do full glam on me again! 10/10 you will not be disappointed. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! -

Make up magicians
Davey and his team were great to work with from day 1. Scheduling my trial and finalizing the details for the day of we’re both seamless. Then between starting my wedding week by getting a black eye and it raining on my wedding day, we really put this team to the test and they handled it with ease. My make up completely hid my black eye and my hair held up perfectly in the humidity. I cannot recommend them enough! -

Davey and his crew are amazing. Not only is he a bright light to have on your special day they completely transformed me & my girls into the picturesque bride squad. My photos came out amazing due to my makeup from this team and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience on one of the best days of my life. Their team is fun, outgoing and make sure they take their time (which you don’t get often). I never felt rushed and when I was in their seat I felt like I was most important. Before discovering True Colors Beauty Co, I did 3 other hair and makeup trials with other companies (popular, highly rated companies) and was unhappy with the results. However, when I met Davey and Gigi from True Colors Beauty, I was instantly confident that they were going to give me exactly what I was imagining for my wedding day. And they delivered!! The makeup that Davey did for me was absolutely stunning, and multiple people have asked me for his contact information! And the hair style that Gigi did for me was the most beautiful and glamorous my hair has ever looked. They made me look and feel like a natural, glam celebrity! Honestly, I knew I wanted Davey & his team the first time I saw a picture of a wedding they did! My trail was awesome and as a bride who was going for a non traditional bridal look, he really listened to me and made my vision come to life! My makeup looked just as good at 11 pm as it did at 1 pm and my hair was perfect! Same goes for my whole bridal party! They also were able to get all 8 of us done (hair & makeup) on a tight schedule with no issues! The whole team was so fun to work with, super responsive, and just an all around great experience! -

I have had my makeup done for special occasions by both Davey and Lizzie and on both occasions I was left feeling confident and sexy and yet still myself! My sister also had her makeup done by Lizzie and she said immediately she had never felt prettier. Davey and his team were great to work with! All of the bridesmaids, moms and groomsgal looked beautiful. He made us feel comfortable throughout the morning, before the wedding, and it felt like he was part of our group.
His team who does hair was also great - everyone had their idea for what they wanted and was able to make each one look amazing!
Davey was great to work with leading up to the day. He and his team did my hair and makeup for our intimate ceremony in 2020 and then again for the full group in 2021. I was so thankful to have him for both events and make me feel beautiful on both days! Thank you for everything Davey! -

Davey did my make up for my wedding in June and it was flawless. I cried so many times that day- tears of joy and my make up never budged. The pictures are flawless because of how he illuminates your face and it still looks so naturally beautiful. I never felt like it was caked on and seriously felt gorgeous all day. I’ve had my make up done professionally many times and always had to fix it. I didn’t have to touch my make up and it lasted all day and night through sweat and dancing. Not to mention his personality and who he is as a person is awesome! Would highly recommend him! -

True Colors Beauty did a wonderful job on hair & makeup for my wedding! The team was on time and efficient. I worked with Lizzie and the makeup lasted all day and through many tears. Gigi did a phenomenal job with hair as well. My only issues were when it came to figuring out payment the day of since I wasn't covering all of the services which took a lot of time and when the original hair stylist switched out due to distance and I was never notified of the change. Thank you for helping us look beautiful and glam on the big day!
