Joanna was absolutely amazing! She did my spray tan before the wedding, as well as my hair and makeup on the big day—and I couldn’t have been happier with the results. She was so sweet, caring, and professional from start to finish. She made me feel completely comfortable and at ease during a very stressful day. My wedding had more than its fair share of setbacks, but Joanna was definitely not one of them. I truly loved how everything turned out, and I’m so grateful she was part of it all. Highly recommend her! -

Joanna is AMAZING!!!!! She is a true artist and made me look and feel absolutely stunning!!! She listens carefully to your vision (and can perfectly match pictures) and makes it even better! She understands colors, is so meticulous, and is truly the best wedding hair / makeup artist I’ve ever seen! She is also very responsive, reliable, and professional. Her contract outlined exactly what to expect so you can be completely prepared. Her instagram is also an incredible resource for seeing her work and learning about the best products and ways to prep for bridal trial and wedding day! I got soooo many compliments on hair and makeup and I am just so grateful to her for making me feel so beautiful!!!!! She also offers spray tan and rehearsal glam which was ideal!!! I can't recommend Joanna and her team enough! They did an incredible job on my wedding day. My makeup stayed flawless all night, looking amazing in person and in photos. My hair, also styled by Joanna, held up perfectly. Joanna takes her time to pamper you and makes it a very calm and fun experience for you on your wedding morning. All of the assisting hair and makeup artists ensured my bridesmaids were thrilled with their looks as well. You cannot go wrong with Joanna. Best of the best!
If you want the best of the BEST wedding hair and makeup artist you have arrived at the right place! I saw Joanna’s work on TikTok before I even got engaged! I said to myself “this is the only person I would want to do my wedding day hair and makeup” because WOW talented is an understatement. She is simply the best!
She truly takes the word artist to a whole other level. Everyone told me the entire night that I looked like a movie/hollywood star (exact vibe I was going for), princess, etc! She gave me the confidence that every bride needs on her wedding day and truly made me GLOW.

Joanna's reputation proceeds her. I've always had nerves when trusting someone else to do my hair and makeup (not knowing how to deal with my psoriasis, looking too 'glam', ending up with a dated style, etc). But Joanna's portfolio and professionalism calmed me and I had total trust in her for my wedding day. And peace the morning of the wedding is priceless- so very thankful to Joanna for that!
And can I say, I've never looked better in my life!! She made me glow like I was the healthiest I've ever been, and she made my hair Pinterest worthy. All I had to do was show her an inspo picture and she recreated it like magic. My makeup lasted all night through tears, dinner, and lots of dancing.
I now feel spoiled that I can't have her be my personal glam team everyday. My own makeup skills pale in comparison to the absolute MAGIC joanna did.

Joanna was the best. Honestly saying that may even be an understatement. I had the privilege of stumbling across her page on Instagram and admired her work. It was really different to see how she documented each client using a before and after and providing a detailed description of the products used. While I live in California, having someone — the same individual, not two — who could do both my hair and makeup was of utmost importance. I was willing to splurge in this area as well because I wanted to look and feel great on my wedding day. Joanna delivered! She carefully reviewed my inspo photos and was able to adjust on the spot. Myself and the few other gals who had their makeup done by Joanna were all pleased with the quality. Our looks lasted all day and night. Joanna made my mom and I both feel and look our absolute best on my wedding day. She is professional, friendly, organized and very sanitary. She paid attention to all of the small details. I am so glad I came across her IG page while searching for a makeup artist. My hair and makeup lasted throughout dinner and well into the night. I can not recommend her enough! This comes so natural to her. She is very talented. I was unable to have a trial and I could not have put my face in better hands on such an important day. Go no further!!! TRUE BEAUTY by Joanna STUNNING must have for any event especially weddings!
Joanna is EXTREMELY talented in her work as a HMUA artist. From the trial, prep, patience, and outcome it was beyond PERFECT! She was extremely respectful in working towards the look and sensitivities that I have with my makeup. Being a bride that was out of state as well as one with a large wedding party she was extremely flexible and accommodating throughout the entire process. She truly worked to ensure that not only myself, but everyone felt my very best that day. You can see the passion in her work and you can tell she puts her whole heart into beautifying you! My makeup was STUNNING and spot on. It lasted all night long and I got nothing but amazing compliments towards the look. It was glamorous while still being me! She did all she could to get my hair to hold that heat and the curls were BEAUTIFUL. It did fall throughout the night of humidity/sweating BUT looking back it still looked wonderful in all of my pictures and captured a beachy look as the night went on.
I truly couldn’t have been happier with everything Joanna provided. She also hired a crew of HMUA that were professional, respectful, fun, patient, and all around wonderful ladies who made our morning great!

Joanna is such an talented hair and makeup artist!!
Joanna spent so much time and attention to my bridal hair and makeup to make it perfect! What drew me to Joanna was the incredible work and examples she posted to Instagram. This allowed me to see styles and looks I liked so i knew what to ask her for. She included so many tips on skin and hair prep that helped me prepare in the months leading up. Both looked amazing at the trial, but she upgraded the look even more for wedding day with small changes I asked for. She used high quality products/brands and took extra time at the start of the service to prep the skin. My makeup and hair stayed ALL night withstanding high winds and rain drops. I found Joanna on instagram when I was preparing for my destination wedding in Bluffton, SC. I followed her for over a year and knew that she did amazing work but when it came to be my turn I was able to witness the expertise, attention to detail and talent that she possesses…..and I am so beyond grateful. What she does is an art, truly. I not only looked incredible on my wedding day but I felt even better. Extremely satisfied! Joanna made me feel like a real life Pinterest Bride. I didn’t even stress about doing a trial, because she is that talented, I knew whatever the final result was, it would be beautiful. From communication, to professionalism, to a true artist, Joanna is amazing. Not only did she make me feel gorgeous, all of her team truly delivered when it came to the rest of the group’s H&MU. We had unfortunate weather on our wedding day, but my makeup was not effected one bit. Beast mode 💄💋
Joanna is a beast {& I mean that in the best way possible}!! I was nervous about having a destination wedding in HHI, not knowing of any local HMU artists that could give me the “beach glam” vibe I was going for. From the bridal trial/engagement to the wedding, she exceeded all of my expectations – and then some! My entire bridal party looked stunning, especially my beautiful momma who has done HMU herself for the past 40+ years; she could not stop watching Joanna in action. Her work is so complex, yet she makes it seem so easy and flawless. There’s no stress when you are sitting in Joanna’s chair. You can relax knowing she’s got you and can already pinpoint your ‘good side’ :D. I stopped counting the compliments I received on my HMU for both engagement and wedding photos. The queen!
Joanna made me feel like a real life princess on my wedding day! I have never felt more beautiful than I did that day! I showed her pictures of ideas and she made the look even better than I expected! She is so kind, sweet and takes her time explaining each step she does. She even made my floral headpiece stay in place all day and night! After having my hair and makeup done it looked the same 12 hours later! Joanna did an AMAZING job with my hair and make up. Not only did it last all night until the next day (in 90 degree weather and humidity) she was also so helpful and accommodating when it came to tweaking and perfecting my final look. Joanna and her team not only accommodated for everything my girls and I asked of them, but they also proved how incredibly talented they are. Every single girl in my party said they loved their hair and makeup and my mom specifically (who has never worn fake lashes) came home saying, “These lashes worked wonders!!! Every single person I knew came up to me to say how stunning I was!”
While I already knew this from working with her years ago in food&bev, Joanna was so easy to communicate and coordinate with and that was definitely the top priority when we chose each of our wedding vendors. Talking with her and her team was effortless and comfortable. They all are truly the best in the biz!
I felt beautiful the entire day and will cherish all the pictures of my beautiful friends and family forever, thanks to Joanna and the photographer she recommended while I had my bridal trial 🤍 Thank you so much Jo!!!!

From the moment I reached out to Joanna I had a feeling I was going to get excellent service. After looking at all of her Instagram posts and stories. I knew I made the right choice. She was great at staying in touch with every single question I had and was quick to respond.
AFter my trail I knew even more that my choice was a good one. On my wedding day Joanna made myself and my bridal party feel beautiful and amazing the entire time we were getting ready..even in the chaos she remained calm and had a calmness about her that poured into me and calmed me down too. 😊.
She listened to everything and did exactly what I envisioned ..and beyond. I felt like a princess on our wedding day. My makeup was perfect and my hair was more than I hoped for.
I would hands down recommend Joanna for anyone looking for hair and makeup....and if you are hiring from another state for a destination wedding do not fear ...She is the one. She will not disappoint!

Beyond amazing
I don’t event know where to begin! We planned our wedding in 5 short months and moved dates and locations multiple time so to say it was a stressful time is an understatement, but booking with Joanna was the best and easiest part of it all! She was so responsive, flexible and truly the sweetest! She made me feel and look GORGEOUS! I mean I looked exactly how I pictured and hoped and BETTER. I’m from Atlanta and my now husband and I decided to have a beach wedding in HHI. I was looking for a local Makeup artist, I found Joanna and immediately knew I wanted her to do my hair and makeup! She did my mother’s hair and makeup, my mother in law’s makeup and my husbands grandma’s makeup. She had everyone scheduled. VERY ORGANIZED AND RESPONSIBLE (she was super early setting all of her stuff up) words cannot express how professional and prepared Joanna is. She made me look like a doll!! Joanna was an absolute gem, and so incredibly talented. I had to book remotely as I am a Cleveland bride who got married in Fripp, and her consistent communication and IG profile/portfolio made it a no brainer to contract her. Gorgeous. Breathtaking. You look like a movie star. Those are some of the compliments I received about the way I looked on my wedding day. But better than the way I looked, was the way I felt. Joanna made me feel good from the day I booked with her, and then rescheduled, and then rescheduled again. She was easy, flexible, accommodating and understanding. She went above and beyond my expectations. Joanna truly cares and creates an experience for you that will leave you feeling your best. She came to my parents house for a trial a few days before the wedding. She was punctual and warm, even entertaining my son, who by the way is still asking about her. Then she came back days later for a spray tan where we further discussed what we liked and what we wanted to change for the wedding glam. By the third time she came to my parents house on the morning of the wedding, I actually felt like we were friends. But that didn’t keep her from being completely professional. She’s incredibly neat and clean. She uses the best, high end products. And I really felt like she cared about the way I felt, not just the way I looked. She listened to what I wanted and her execution was flawless. Weddings can be stressful. Mine certainly was. Postponed twice and between my original date and my actual date I had a baby. We decided to have an intimate beach wedding on short notice with only ten people because of the pandemic. I still wanted to get my hair/makeup done as I don't normally (and I was getting married!), and the same for my mom and mother-in-law. My original make-up artist cancelled 4 days before the wedding due to covid exposure, but she offered to get me in contact with Joanna who might be able to cover for her. Well, I AM SO LUCKY Joanna was able to fill in because she did an absolute stellar job! She was able to work me in despite the short-time frame. She was extremely professional, timely, and practiced covid safety with disinfectants, clean brushes, and wore a mask. She also took my input into account (we wanted a natural look-me and the moms don't normally wear much make-up) and she truly made us look us...but BETTER. Everything looked natural glam and was not irritating. For myself (the bride), she included eye masks, a face massage with roller, and a little bridal touch-up kit too! I cannot recommend her enough; we all felt beautiful and pampered. She did an amazing job and made the whole experience relaxing. If you are looking for a professional, genuinely caring, and extremely talented make-up + hair artist, look no further. She was able to skillfully apply make-up/style hair for three different skin/hair types (not to mention different ages too!) which is really tough to do, but she made it look easy. I felt the most beautiful after working with Joanna! I love that she walked me through what she will do for my makeup for me to picture it and be more comfortable about the whole process. I know how difficult it can be for women to have someone work on our skin or hair sometimes but she made it feel enjoyable and “collaborative” which matters to me because I am a service provider as well. From her setting up to giving finishing touches on my face, it was an excellent experience that left me feeling not only super beautiful, but only wanting “her” personally work on me.

I would highly recommend Joanna to anyone looking for makeup, hair or tanning services in the Lowcountry. She is amazingly talented and has the patience of a saint.
