Best Wedding Band EVER!!!

I truly can't say enough positive things about Tropics. We hired the band Libido to preform for a continuous four hours at our wedding reception this past May, and to say they were sensational is an understatement. Every single performer went above and beyond our expectations, and they had everyone dancing nonstop all night.
I coordinated everything through Steve who was a joy to work with and communicated excellently with my wedding planner. The band was dressed to the nines and created the most amazing, vibrant, energetic atmosphere that was PERFECT for a reception.
Not only were my husband and I blown away but our guests were too, and we were told by what felt like nearly every guest that they were the best wedding band they've ever witnessed. Many couples were even asking them to perform at their weddings too!
My husband and I did a choreographed first dance, and our dance instructor was nervous that a band was preforming because they're usually a little off from the original song. Not Libido. They were spot on with every note.
I'm beyond grateful for this band, and if you want your guests to be dancing all night (and complimenting your wedding long after it's over), I HIGHLY recommend Libido!! Thank you to all the musicians who made our wedding as special as it was and for giving my husband and I, as well as our guests, an unforgettable night!!!!

Wow wow wow libido

All I can say is, WOW. Libido and the whole Tropics Entertainment team were phenomenal. From the initial call to the planning call with Kelsey and, ultimately, the wedding, the Tropics team were first class. Libido gave us a Grammy-worthy performance that spoke to the group's versatility and range. I could not recommend them more for weddings and other events. If you want to WOW your guests, you should book this band. We have received overwhelming positive feedback from our guests, and many felt they attended a concert along with our wedding. The band did a great job keeping the energy going and even allowed us to interact with the crowd on stage. They made our special day a memory we will never forget.

Best band ever

There are no words to express how incredible the VYNYL BAND is. They executed our requests flawlessly. At the end of our four hour reception, our wedding guests all chanted "ONE MORE SONG!" and demanded an encore! THAT is how great this band was. Their manager Kelsey was fantastic to work with. ENCORE!

LOVECHILD ft. DJ Sample - MONEY WELL SPENT!!! Amazing and outstanding performance!! Top notch! Tremendously increased the value of the experience for us and our guests! Everyone was raving about how ridiculously amazing they were! They were INCREDIBLE. Better than my hopes and dreams. Just spectacular. They were all so talented--everything sounded so professional, was the highest quality, and provided the most impeccable performance/entertainment quality to our unforgettable wedding. Our band made our wedding ridiculously unforgettable for all of our guests. Also, Bambie who helped us coordinate and plan everything was fabulous. Our specific vision was brought to life and exceeded our expectations. Money very well spent. Although they are expensive, the value of the experience was worth more. they are definitely worth it. I know I was really scared and intimidated during the planning process…..but during & after the wedding all I can think of is how I am so happy that we went with and trusted them!! They were truly irreplaceable and gave us everything we could have ever wanted

You must hire Tropics and Cameo band

Cameo from Tropics Entertainment is simply the best wedding band around. Young, fresh, talented, crowd pleasing, with a horn section that never stopped playing- they kept the party going all night. Every single guest told us that Cameo is the best band they have ever seen at a wedding. Tropics team was great to work with for 20 months- prompt, professional and receptive. Kudos to Tropics and their rising stars Cameo band!

The best band ever!

We booked Vinyl through Tropics for our wedding and had the time of our life. All of our guests keep telling us that they were the best wedding band anyone had ever experienced. They customized their performance to our guests and needs, came onto the dance floor to hype up the party, and were true musicians. It felt like a concert! Highly recommend working with Tropics and booking Vinyl!

Incredibly Fun & Talented Band!

Tropics Entertainment has now performed at 3 of my family’s weddings. Their band, Higher Ground, performed at ours, and everyone had a blast! They even allowed my husband to plan to play one of their guitars on stage with them to serenade me at our reception. They were very fun, professional, and played all the songs we requested. I highly recommend hiring Tropics Entertainment to perform at any event!

It Was Better Than A Concert

We had Libido + their horns section play at our wedding and it is probably the most talked about thing. They brought it!!!! True performers that looked like they were really enjoying themselves. Music quality was incredible and song choices were perfect.

If you're looking for a wedding band, this is it!

Tropics Entertainment is the best wedding entertainment! Steve, Cristina, Bambi, & Kelsey are so easy to work with and so accommodating for all of your wants and needs! We booked a string trio for our ceremony and cocktail hour. They played traditional ceremony music and then more modern songs during the cocktail hour and it was beautiful! We had The Clique 11 piece band for our reception and OH MY GOSH you need them!! We watched their video performances before booking but nothing compares to them in person. During our first dance we literally stopped and stared at the singer as soon as he started and then looked at each other in amazement because he was THAT GOOD!! In the middle of the reception the saxophone and other band members came off the stage onto the floor with our guests and played with all of us dancing around them and it was incredible! So many of our friends and family couldn’t stop talking about how good the band was and how they kept everyone engaged and on the dance floor all night which is exactly what we wanted! Definitely worth it to book Tropics Entertainment for your wedding needs!

Higher Ground rocked it (pun intended) on our wedding day!

From start to finish, Dan Morris was a pleasure to work with, always responding to questions and emails in record time. I’m super passionate about music and had high standards for our playlist, and Higher Ground brought the perfect mix of pop, ‘80s rock and disco to the dance floor — which was packed all night long. They even learned a Taylor Swift deep cut for our first dance! Needless to say, our guests couldn’t stop raving about the band — and neither can we.

Best Wedding Band

We used Tropics Entertainment for our wedding band. The band that played at our wedding was Entourage and I can’t say enough good things! They kept the party upbeat the entire night with just the perfect amount of downtime in between. All of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how great the band was.

Higher Ground - The Best Band, Period

I booked Tropic Entertainment - Higher Ground Band for my daughter's wedding this past weekend. My daughter had always raved about them but I had never had the pleasure to hear them perform until Saturday. WOW!!!! They made the wedding reception a party that our 450 guests will never forget! Everyone, and I mean everyone, was asking me for the name of the band. They all concurred that this is the best band in Miami, PERIOD. Once they began playing, the dance floor was packed all the way until they stopped. nobody got off the floor and they know how to play to the crowd. They played songs from all decades!! They take requests, but my advice is to let them play, they know how to get your party going all night. If you are looking for a band for your event, do not waste your time and money on any other band, trust me, this is the band to have at your event.

Higher ground was phenomenal

We hired Higher Ground for our wedding at The Eau Palm Beach Resort and Spa. They were amazing and kept the party going all night long. There were people on the dance floor the ENTIRE time and everyone is STILL raving about the band. Truly exceptional and worth the money.

Higherground is LIFEEE!!!!

BEST BEST BEST BEST Decision we made for our wedding!! Higher ground is just AMAZING!! Literally the BEST hora i've ever heard in my life.... honestly.. everything about them.. their range of music, their energy, everything!!!! They used the live sound in our wedding video and when watching the video.. some family members literally thought it was the artists real song and not the band lol ! Vinyl will rock your party!

Vinyl Band delivered a fabulous performance for my corporate client in Cancun! The lead singers’ voices were gorgeous, and their energy was off the charts! They had 700 people dancing in the sand for 90 minutes straight. The guests never sat down; it was like being at an awesome concert. The next day at the breakfast, the buzz was that Vinyl was the best band they’d ever had.

I am an event/entertainment producer, with 20+ years in the business. I gave the band some specific direction, and they ran with it. The final product was absolutely electric! The synergy between the band and the audience was amazing.
The musicians were super talented and cool. Their attire was spot hot. The band-leader prepared the musical line-up with such finesse. His timing, selections, arrangements – just perfection! And on top of that, the band was delightful to work with!

I highly recommend Vinyl for any corporate or private event.
Trust me … they will ROCK YOUR PARTY!

Vinyl is the best

We had Vinyl at our wedding and the were AMAZING! We ended booking them kind of last minute and they still learned and did an outstanding job with all of our requested songs. They had all of our guests on their feet instantly, and I cannot stress enough the extreme talent of the lead vocalists. When they started singing Shallow from A Star is Born. all of our guests literally gasped, it was beautiful. We feel like we got the best band for our wedding, we can’t imagine it going any better. We are so grateful for Vinyl for making our wedding so much fun. People are still raving about the band. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Vinyl and Tropics Entertainment for your wedding. We are beyond pleased. Entourage Rocks!!

Entourage knocked it out of the park at our wedding Saturday night. They crushed it!! I never thought I would have so much fun at my own wedding, but I did. They were absolutely amazing! Amazing Band

My husband and I got married at Boca Raton Resort and Club in March 2019. I definitely recommend the band Flavor from Tropic Entertainment. They were upbeat from beginning to end and they played all our favorite songs. We danced all night long! They have a great energy on stage. Everyone was complimenting them to us. Libido is simply the best

There is not enough accolades I can give this band. Musicianship is tops. Performance awesome. Able to read the crowd perfect. All the wedding guests commented all night long how good the band was.

Entourage is AMAZING!

My wedding was filled with a group of young adults who LOVE to dance. Entourage had us on the dance floor (and stage!) all night long. They really read the crowd. There was not a moment of down time. I have never been to such a lively wedding. I cannot express in words how much fun it was, and that really comes down to the music. I wish I could relive the night every weekend. I truly can't thank Tropics Entertainment and Entourage enough. They are AWESOME! Plus, their voices are sooo good, they hit every song from Elton John to Cardi B and Beyonce perfectly! THANK YOU!!

Our wedding occurred on May 27, 2018. We were fortunate to book the Libido Band from Tropics. They were absolutely AMAZING!! They played almost constantly from 8:00 - 1:00 a.m. (we paid for the overtime because the band kept everyone on the dance floor), and the crowd was so into it that they stayed on the dance floor for 40 minutes AFTER the band stopped playing! They were enthusiastic, provided awesome beat and sound, and unbelievable dance moves and energy. Worth every single penny; musicians and non-musicians alike in the audience told me they were unbelievable. String quartet was also excellent for the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour.

Wow! Where do I start. We booked Tropics Entertainment for our wedding in April and it could not have been a better experience from start to finish. More than a month has past since the wedding and the performance of the band is all people want to talk about. My only "complaint" would be once they started playing, it was absolutely impossible to get anyone off the dance floor!!!

Wedding planning can have its ups and downs, so having great vendors is extremely important. Tropics stood head and shoulders above all the others. From the very beginning they were easy to get a hold of, gave us a very fair price from the start so we did not have to spend our time haggling back and forth. They worked with us to help curate a perfect playlist for our guests and took the time to perfect our first dance song. The week of the wedding they made last minute sound accommodations for the ceremony. During the wedding, they went above and beyond by playing during their scheduled break when the timeline ran into trouble due to the kitchen being late to get food out. Every step of the way was a dream come true for a wedding.

Thank you Tropics for an awesome evening, and even better experience.

I searched high and low for a band. I didnt like any of the recommendations from my venue and I felt like I was stuck. I was so thrilled when I stumbled across Remix and knew they would be the perfect band for my wedding. Perfect doesnt begin to describe remix ...normally the whole night everyone tells you how good you look, the whole night people told me the band was amazing. One of my friends even said "it was the best concert hes ever been to". They read the crowd beautifully, played the best music and just couldnt have been better if they tried. They were sweet, and put there all into the music. My friend who is getting married in New Jersey wants to fly them up to play her wedding. 5 stars is an understatement!

We had the pleasure of having the Remix Band at both my sister's and my wedding. Let me just say... WOW! The customer service on behalf of Bambi Thomas (event coordinator) deserves an award. I can't say enough about how invested she was in making sure that the planning process was smooth and that every detail was tended to. She made sure to contact the vendor for the hora loca when there was an issue with the music coordination and got it all squared away so that I wouldn't have to deal with it. My emails were always replied to right away; the level of communication was meritorious. The Tropics team is the epitome of INTEGRITY and PASSION... one of the TOP vendors of all those at my wedding, for sure!! They were flexible and willing to change lyrics and learn new songs for us. And the Remix band in particular rivals the best known acts in the world. They kept everyone on the dance floor at both weddings (even the non-dancers). They are so talented, personable, and professional. All the guests at both events couldn't stop commenting on how much FUN they had, how much they danced, and how this was "the best band they had ever heard." We just wish we had more siblings so we could work with Tropics/Remix again!

So flexible and accommodating! The string quartet learned and adapted a number of non-traditional requested songs and performed them flawlessly. Very impressive.
And then Higher Ground kept the dance-floor packed and engaged all night! Couldn't recommend strongly enough!

We used tropics to book DJ Sample with Saxophome and Drums for our wedding in Miami and they exceeded all expectations and we couldn't be happier. Prior to the wedding, they were very responsive and we had several conversations to discuss the music for the evening. We are big house / dance music people and it was very important to us that our wedding had high quality music. I'm known as a bit of a music snob and it was very important that my wedding avoided cliche "wedding music." DJ sample was very effective and did a great job of incorporating our "must have songs" at what felt like the perfect moment, while also relying on his deep music knowledge to round out he evening with songs from his collection.

Equally important is that DJ Sample was very effective at incorporating music that appealed to the broader audience during the evening. Specifically, we required a 30 minute oldies / disco set as well as a 30 minute latin/ spanish music set. Suffices to say that all guests from age 3-88 had their musical tastes satisfied.

Finally, DJ Sample was very flexible in accommodating last minute changes and requests during the party.

Would recommend DJ Sample to any serious music people who are planning an event

We booked Pangea for our wedding last weekend and loved them. They were the best part of my wedding and every penny was worth it. I hired Tropics Entertainment to provide the string trio and DJ for my wedding and thoroughly enjoyed working with them. What I liked most about them is that they listened to the vision I had for my wedding, my needs and worked with me to find the right music for my wedding – they didn’t just sell me on a product. I also like that they took my special requests into account, eg. for the string trio to play more contemporary music as well as the songs I wanted for the first dance, etc. They considered every detail, even ones that never occurred to me and worked with my venue to make sure the DJ and string trio had everything they needed. Tropics was even able to provide the lighting for the reception too. I’m happy to say that the dance floor quickly filled up once the party officially started and we even went into overtime because of how much everyone was enjoying themselves. I highly recommend Tropics Entertainment to anyone planning a wedding or any party where there’ll be music and dancing.

HIGHER GROUND - BEST BAND EVER! Their great selection of music, coupled with terrific performances by the instrumentalists and the vocalists, had everyone, young and old, on the dance floor. They helped make the marriage celebration everything that we hoped it would be. Higher Ground definitely added to the festive spirit of this special night.

Without a doubt, I would book Higher Ground again in a heart beat. Their high energy and ability to get the crowd going as well as their diverse music selection and high quality performance exceeded our expectations, in fact, all of our guests were complimenting how blown away they were by their performance. I also have nothing but great things to say about Dan and Bambi, they were easy to work with, accommodating, responsive and went out of their way to make our wedding planning and day of as easy and enjoyable as they could. Thanks Higher Ground and Tropics Entertainment, you guys were fabulous!

We discovered The Clique almost two years ago when we saw them play at JB's in Deerfield Beach. We knew instantly that we HAD to have them for our wedding. March 11th, 2017 that day finally came. When I say they killed it, I mean they KILLED it. I have never been to a wedding where every single person was on the dance floor. The dance floor was full before dinner was even served. The Clique is simply amazing. The energy they bring is absolutely unparalleled. They appeal to everyone, young and old. The Clique was worth every single penny spent. They MADE our party. Our friends and family are still talking about it! It was truly the BEST party ever!!!

Words may never adequately describe our appreciation of and admiration for The Clique! THEY MADE OUR WEDDING!!! When we started exploring bands, we were lead to Tropics through a close friend’s recommendation and knew we had met our match after speaking to Danny. He was incredibly professional, knowledgable and willing to work with us in every way. My husband and I might have watched 10 different bands’ promo videos online, but were most excited after stumbling upon The Clique, as their energy was nearly exploding from the screen. We were dancing and signing just watching them! Luckily, we were soon able to see them perform live at The Hard Rock where the energy of every single band member was 100 percent, and the singers interacted with the audience in a way that got everyone excited, not just us! When live, The Clique also demonstrated the variety of their talent and ability to perfect any song they learned.

As our wedding night approached, we stressed the importance of ENERGY throughout. Despite all of the detailed planning, our families agreed that the band was truly the most important facet of a killer party. Sure enough, The Clique killed every single song they performed, with nonstop energy and excitement the entire night! From start to finish, you could not move an inch on the dance floor—our exact wish for our wedding celebration! The band also learned a special first dance song, as well as a song for our father/daughter dance. A week later, every person in attendance is still raving about The Clique, honestly sharing that they were the absolute best band at any wedding, ever! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! You all made us feel like this was the most important place for you to be, and lead our closest family and friends through the most fun night ever! We are forever grateful!

*For our after party, we hired a DJ, also through Tropics who was also unmatched. Awesome variety of songs, new and old. Our party could not be stopped!

My husband and I had Love Child perform at our wedding and they are amazing, fun and talented. We found Love Child through the agency, Tropics Entertainment. I found that the agency was extremely professional; they asked what I wanted and made it happen. They put together a great string quartet for our ceremony, selected a few of Love Child's instrumental players for our cocktail hour, and then had our fabulous band, Love Child play during our reception. Our music preferences during our entire wedding were seamless and very well-orchestrated. The band, Love Child, went over and above to please us and exceeded our expectations at our reception. For example, the song I chose for my father was not a popular song performed by a popular artist, but the words were so perfect to describe my relationship with him that I had to have that song for my father daughter dance. The band not only learned the song perfectly, but performed it so well; it brought tears to my eyes. They delivered that song so beautifully...the memory created in that moment is one I will never forget. Also, the song my husband chose for our dance was delivered with absolute perfection and another great memory was created. During my reception, all of our guests danced the entire time and they are still talking about what a great band we chose for our wedding. It was so much fun and the band sounded just like the original artists, it felt like being at a live concert with all of our favorite artists. I cannot say enough positive things about Tropics Entertainment and Love Child. If you’re looking for a professional agency to take care of everything and an amazing, talented band to help create a memorable wedding, do not hesitate to go with my recommendations!

I cant say enough good things about Remix. They played my sister's wedding last week and they were even BETTER than expected (and we had high expectations to begin with based on everything we had heard). Incredible energy, amazing voices, and just really fun, talented and engaging. I lost count on how many guests said it was the best band they had ever heard. Also, my Maid of Honor speech involved some music, and even amidst their own sound check, Remix was so helpful in making sure I was all set up and good to go. They were just great all around. Best wedding band...If you want a band that will get everyone young and old dancing and having a great time with amazing music, go with Remix.

The Clique was absolutely incredible at our wedding this past weekend! People danced the whole night and the band really kept the party going. Everyone kept telling us how amazing the band was all night long (and even now a few days later). Seriously I would book this band 10 more times. SOOO worth the money!!!! Tropics is also very easy to work with, Steve is fantastic and gave me wonderful advice.

Back in May 2015, we had Libido Band at our wedding at the Ritz Carlton in Key Biscayne, FL. I first saw them perform at a friend's wedding in 2012, and from that day on I knew that was who I wanted at my wedding one day. There are truly no words to describe their amazingness. They are beyond talented (voices AND dance moves), so fun, so friendly, and everything else you could ever ask for. The dance floor was jam packed for 4 hours straight. To this day, 7 months later, I still obsess over them! They really are the best of the best!!! Thank you for making my wedding night so fun and memorable.

I could not have been happier with Higher Ground. A friend had suggested the band to us, and we are so glad that they did. They had constant energy and were great at keeping the crowd moving. All of my wedding guests have raved to me about how great the band was. Higher Ground even learned to play the song that we requested (Peaches & Cream- John Butler Trio), which was not a very popular song. They are definitely on the pricey side, but so worth it.

Pangea played at our wedding on April 18, 2015 at the Ritz Carlton in Naples, Fl. They were Fantastic! Everyone was on the dance floor all night and they were a total hit! I would recommend this band to anyone!

Higher Ground was absolutely incredible! Every single person we've talked to about our wedding has raved about them! Also, a special part about higher ground was their band coordinator, Lillianne. She was awesome! She kept the time line moving perfectly on track. She was always calming and never made me feel stressed about time while still keeping everyone on track! We worked with Higher Ground for our wedding and they were amazing! Everyone keeps raving about them and how much fun they were. They played exactly what we wanted.. A mix of pop, Motown, and disco to keep the dance floor going all night long! Lilianne was so helpful in coordinating the music to go with our dances, and she was very responsive to any questions we had. Higher Ground are talented musicians and singers, and Tropics is nothing but professional. Loved every second of their performance at our wedding!!

Libido was on fire at our wedding! They were the most ridiculous band, it felt like we were at a concert. The dance moves – both on stage and on the dance floor, their never-ending energy - they truly made the party! They were very easy to work with and accommodating (Kara, their coordinator is amazing!), stuck to the play list that I had requested and were SO fun!! They are pricey but it was worth every penny. Still on cloud 9 three weeks later!

Flavor is absolutely amazing. All of our guests said they were the best band they have ever heard. A few said they felt like they were at a live convert. Flavor exceeded our expectations and made our wedding exceptional. Brittany and Chadwick are so personable. We love this band!!

Tropics provided us with Band choices for our daughter's Saturday night wedding at the EPIC Hotel. PANGEA was one of the options we considered. We selected them from their online video. ALL WE CAN SAY IS AWESOME!!! They were musically superior, professional, beautiful and flexible. Our guests never stopped dancing and would not leave, even when the band finished for the evening. They wanted more.

Wedding bands can be mediocre or canned. They were able to perform all music with authenticity and musical perfection. The singers were superb. Warm and professional musicians. Great price (and I hope this review doesn't ruin it for the future, because there were more expensive bands available, but I do not know that they could have performed better than PANGEA. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY BRIDE AND GROOM AND THEIR FAMILY.

Steve and Lillianne at Tropics Entertainment were amazing to work with. For my wedding weekend I hired an acoustic guitarist for my rehearsal dinner (he was unbelievable), a three string quartet for ceremony, and Higher Ground as the band at the reception all through Tropics. The string quartet could play anything from classical to modern to rock- they sounded so beautiful! HIGHER GROUND IS BEYOND THE BEST BAND EVER! They had everyone on the dance floor from the beginning of the night to the very end. They played the perfect variety of songs/genre's. Everyone could not stop telling me how great the band was. I was actually really worried about the band because I was told the acoustics in my ballroom were not very good since it was all windows, high ceilings, and concrete. You would never know that the acoustics aren't usually good in there, as Higher Ground has a sound engineer to make sure the sound was perfect all night. Tropics Entertainment is definitely the way to go- they really only use the best of the best musicians.

Higher Ground was amazing!!!! There are no words to describe how amazing Higher Ground was on our wedding day! My husband and I were so happy with their song choices and the way they organized and grouped their songs. Lilianne and Steve were amazing people to work with, they were professional, responsive and showed that they really cared to make our wedding day special. All the singers were absolutely amazing and their voices were beyond what I dreamed off. I would give them beyond 100% and would recommend them to anyone. I was thinking on our honeymoon when can I use them again.... The entire band including all the stage support was beyond what I expected and dreamed off. They went beyond and above and worked with me personally throughout the entire process. They are amazing!!!!!!! 100000000% would recommend!!!!!

There are no words to describe how amazing Higher Ground was on our wedding day! 3 weeks later and guests are still calling to ask the name of our band and tell us how wonderful they were! Higher Ground had 200 guests on their feet, rocking the entire night. My husband and I were so happy with their song choices and felt they did an absolutely amazing job; definitely blew us and our guests away by their talent. Amazing band, highly recommended!!!

We hired Lovechild through Tropics and we could not have been happier. Planning a Miami wedding from NYC was not easy, especially because we couldn't hear the band play live beforehand. To us, the music was the most important part of the wedding since we wanted everyone up on the dance floor. And Lovechild did just that! They sounded great, played our favorite motown, 80s/90s songs and a few current hits too. Almost every person at our wedding has told us how great the band was and how much fun they had! We truly think Lovechild made our wedding! I highly recommend them for anybody looking for a fun wedding and you MUST request their motown hits!

Our wedding band Higher Ground was beyond amazing!! We were blown away with how awesome they were! They played off the crowd, and incorporated all of our special requests. They truly made the wedding, it was the best party!! It as a stretch for our budget to get a band instead of a DJ, but it was well worth it!, I keep looking back at the videos and the band is just so great, I feel so lucky to have had them at my wedding!

We used the Tropics band Pangea for our wedding and they were AMAZING!!!! Don't let the fact that Pangea is one of the less expensive Tropics bands fool you, they are out of this world! The male lead vocalist sounds like Justin Timberlake and is so energetic. The female lead vocalist is also out of this world. We had the best time partying with them all night long at our wedding! They got into the crowd, were so engaging and so much fun! I can't wait to recommend them to my friends getting married!

From start to finish, LIBIDO of Tropics Entertainment is a class act. Not only do they provide the most incredible entertainment--they keep the party dancing the WHOLE night--they are incredibly talented, kind, professional, and wonderful people. The band and their coordinator, Kara, are too great. The band learned an original song for us and whenever they sang a cover it sounded like the original. They are simply a fantastic band. I will definitely use them again.

Higher Ground was absolutely incredible at our wedding! They came highly recommended to us from other people who have attended weddings where they played. Before we signed them, my husband and I went to see them play at Blue Martini in Mary Brickell. Between their amazing performance at the bar with terrible acoustics and their great promo video, we knew they were the right choice. At the wedding, people were dancing all night long. Every member of the band is very talented, and they were extremely professional. I've only received positive feedback about the band. I definitely recommend them!

If you want a great band, hire Re-Mix from the south Florida area. They just played at my daughter's wedding. Honestly, the made the night! Just fantastic! Wish you could hear the guest raves. Don't settle for any other band.

We had Pangea perform at our reception in Marco Island and they were awesome! It was definitely worth the splurge. They succeeded in getting the party started! All of our guests commented on how great the band was. I 100% recommend them!

We really wanted a band for our wedding but also didn't want to spend the $15k necessary for most south florida bands. We found Pangea through Tropics Entertainment and could not have been happier. WOW - I can't say enough amazing things about Higher Ground - they completely blew us away (and with a family of musicians, that is not easy to do!). They played nonstop and really knew how to read the crowd and keep the party going. Our dance floor was packed the entire night and people could not stop commenting on how amazing they were. They were completely flexible and catered to all of our requests. If I could give 7 stars to Higher Ground I would and would definitely recommend them to any future South Florida brides!!

We used the band Libido from Tropics Entertainment. If I had to explain them to someone I would just say "Best band hands down!" They were awesome and made our wedding amazing. WOW! From the first note until the last, the dance floor at our wedding was packed! Simply phenomenal! All of guests, ranging in age from mid-20s to my 85 year-old uncle were up on their feet dancing the night away. What an amazing band! Steve and the staff at Tropics Entertainment were such a pleasure to work with, answering our endless questions, and guiding us to make sure we had an AMAZING party! We used tropics for our ceremony musicians and their band REMIX for our reception. From start to finish they were so helpful during the planning process. Helping choose music from the ceremony to the cocktail to the first dance they helped every step of the way! We cannot say enough about REMIX! They blew the roof off of the place! Our guests referred to our wedding as a "wedding/concert/performance"! They were incredible!!! We went and saw quite a few bands during planning and none even came close! They kept the dance floor packed all night and sang the songs better than the originals! At times I thought a CD was playing that's how good they are! To anyone booking a band for your wedding or event don't waste your time looking for bands....BOOK REMIX!

We can't rave enough about libido band. They are , by far, the most talented
group of musicians out there. Their performance at our daughter's wedding proved that we were right to plan our date based on their availability. Kara, their manager, was always responsive in answering all our questions and concerns.

We highly recommend Tropics Entertainment - especially The Clique Band and their DJ. They are pricey, but they were amazing! They had great attire, great dances, great vibes, sang great, got the crowd going, & even learned songs for our party (such as Taylor Swift's Wildest Dreams & Justin Beiber's Sorry). Our guests could not stop talking about them and paying me compliments about them. Even my (now)husband, who is VERY picky about musicians, absolutely LOVED them! If i didn't have wedding dress issues, i would have been out on the dance floor more myself :)

We choose Tropics Entertainment b/c they had great reviews, great website showcasing their bands/talents, were one of the approved vendors for The Biltmore Hotel (our reception venue), and they answered our questions.

We had a few speed bumps week of solidifying the ins/outs, but my fabulous day of coordinator (Type A Network) & Tropics Entertainment figured out a resolution and resolved it for us. Just note that if you hire a band and DJ, you cannot easily switch between Band/DJ and your speeches are only able to be made on the band's microphone under their supervision which means you are using up your band's time to do so and could limit you on your reception schedule due to their break. Aside from that, but they are great!

We booked the Tropics Entertainment band Higher Ground for our wedding, and we couldn't have been more thrilled with them! The band was amazing. All our guests said it was the best wedding band they'd ever seen - and we would have to agree. Not only did they sound amazing, but they were able to read the energy of the room and know exactly what to play when. They were also extremely accommodating. I (the groom) wrote a song for the bride, and the band was happy to learn the song and have me come up on stage and sing it with them to surprise the bride! The bride's father also plays bass and they were happy to have him come on stage and play a couple of songs with the band. Higher Ground may be on the pricey side, but for us they were well worth the money. Incredible band!

I hired Pangea to play my wedding reception.... AMAZING!!! They truly made the party exceptional! They played such a variety of music for all guests of all ages and had all 225 of my guests dancing the whole night. The string quartet that played the ceremony did such a beautiful job as well. I'm still getting compliments 5 months later on both!

Our coordinator, Dara, was such a pleasure to deal with! She assisted in every way possible and made the evening's schedule stress-free.

My only Con was that the band allowed a few toasts to carry on for almost 15 minutes each and allowed someone to give a toast that I previously mentioned I didn't want speaking. My 4 toasts were given a timeline of 20-25 min max and turned out to be almost 45 minutes which delayed and rushed several other things and ended up cancelling the "thank you" toast from myself and my groom to save time.

"The group of 12 were outstanding, both in their selection of songs (primarily for the 20-30's age group) and performance. The band played 90 minute non-stop sets of pulsating music with on-stage choreography. Comments from our guests included "best band ever", "unbelievable", "never experienced a band with that amount of energy". Highly recommended. Worth every penny. "

We used the band Libido from Tropics Entertainment. They were hands down the highlight of our wedding and the best money we spent. Libido blew everyone away with their amazing vocalists and incredibly talented musicians. Our dance floor was packed the ENTIRE night and everyone from our 4 year old niece to our 70 year old aunts and uncles had a fantastic time. I highly recommend Libido for a wedding reception if you are looking for an energetic, talented, and versatile band!

We had Higher Ground at our wedding a few weeks ago and they were AMAZING!!! They played exactly what we requested and then some. All of our guests are still raving about how good they were. They kept the party going all night! Highly recommend Higher Ground!

Amazing Band

My family loves to dance and Remix (the band we used from Tropics) did not disappoint. Guests would not stop telling us that our wedding band was the best they have heard. The band had a lot of energy throughout the entire evening, had an awesome set list, played all of our requests, and cut our first dance songs exactly as requested. Would highly recommend. The only con I will note is the sales rep we worked with when we booked the band was not as helpful as we would have hoped - but all in all, it was well worth putting up with him.

Entourage Band | Tropics Entertainment

Entourage was worth every penny! I was very specific about the type of music and vibe we wanted to set for our wedding music and they nailed IT! We loved that they played a diverse playlist - oldies, Top 40, pop, Latin etc. They can truly read your guests and the atmosphere in the room. Literally everyone was out of their seats and on the dance floor that night!

My only feedback would be to let the couple listen to a recording of the first dance, Father/daughter dance and mother/son dance. Or recommend using the real version of the song. We took dance lessons and had a hard time keeping up with the live version since we had practiced with the regular version of the songs. They will recommend a rehearsal before the reception starts but it’s s honestly so hard to find the time to when you’re being pulled in different directions.

Overall, the band was our favorite part of the night. Our guests really enjoyed them too! We received so many compliments about Entourage and how great they were! Entourage is a must-book entertainment group for your event!!

I am conflicted in writing this review because the actual musicians at our wedding were unbelievable. The quartet at the ceremony & during cocktail hour was fantastic. The band (Higher Ground) is amazing - our dance floor was packed the whole night. When they finished, everyone started asking for one more song & they did an encore! I would absolutely recommend Higher Ground. The problem is the management at Tropics. We dealt with Steve & we were less than impressed with him. He made promises he did not keep. He was unprofessional and unresponsive. I was shocked by how poorly he ran the business & I would just caution other brides to beware if you choose to go with a Tropics band.

A Disappointing and Experience with Vinyl that could have easily been avoided

Hiring Vinyl for our wedding was a decision we were incredibly excited about. After watching their vibrant promotional videos and receiving a glowing recommendation from a trusted colleague, we felt confident that this world class band would deliver an unforgettable performance.

Sadly, what we experienced was a complete letdown that cast a shadow over our special day.

From the beginning, we worked closely with the band to create a setlist that would reflect the tastes of our 600 guests. Vinyl provided us with a list of over 200 songs, and my wife, my parents, and I spent hours curating a precise selection that we felt would keep the energy high and create the perfect atmosphere. This was a priority for us because music sets the tone for the entire evening. The least we expected was that the songs we painstakingly selected would be the ones played. Unfortunately, once the celebration got underway, it became clear that none of our chosen songs were being performed.

As the groom, I was understandably overwhelmed with hosting so many guests, but I couldn’t ignore the fact that the music was completely off. Every time the band started a new song, I found myself looking around, confused, thinking, "What is this song? This wasn’t on the setlist!" It wasn’t just a matter of personal taste—these were songs that didn’t resonate with the crowd and did nothing to match the vibe we envisioned for the evening. My friends, who eagerly attack the dance floor at every wedding with thriving enthusiasm, were visibly less lively which I attribute directly to the choice of the songs - that were all very 50s/60s esque. My father, who was also acutely aware of the issue, spent much of the night trying to address this with the band and their manager, but nothing changed. It felt like no one in the band had the presence of mind to notice that the energy on the dance floor was lacking due to their song choices. It was incredibly frustrating and stressful to have this concern nagging at me throughout what should have been the happiest night of my life. I was literally counting the seconds until they got off and we had our DJ start his set.

To make matters worse, the band's post-wedding response was equally frustrating. When we reached out to them to discuss the issue, instead of taking responsibility, they shifted the blame to our (world class) venue, (high profile) Party Planner and (venue trusted) AV Vendor. The band’s manager claimed that they were playing from the approved setlist, which simply was not true. In fact, I’d estimate that only about 20% of the songs they played were from our curated list. For a 90-minute set, this meant that the majority of what was performed had absolutely nothing to do with what we had requested. Considering the time and care we had put into this, it was beyond disappointing.

The band also blamed their poor performance on not having a proper mic check, which they said was the responsibility of the venue and AV team. I can say with confidence that this was a baseless excuse. We worked with a world-class event team that regularly handles high-profile weddings and events. They are absolute professionals, and it was clear that the problems we experienced were entirely due to the band's lack of preparation and inability to read the room.

The bottom line is that Vinyl and Tropics Entertainment failed to meet even the most basic expectations we had for our wedding music. We paid a premium for a band we believed would deliver a first-rate experience, and instead, we got a performance that felt disconnected and indifferent. What could have been a night full of joy and celebration was tainted by the ongoing frustration of hearing song after song that had no place at our event.

I sincerely hope that anyone considering hiring Vinyl for their event thinks twice and makes sure they clearly define the expectations and what is required from each party. For us, it wasn’t just about the money—it was about entrusting a major part of our wedding to a company that ultimately let us down.

Tropics entertainment booked Me Higher Ground to play at my wedding- a band they claimed was their hottest new act. The band was awful- they played every song about 3 beats too slow and the female vocals were AWFUL- so bad I asked the manager to not allow any female lead vocal songs played at the wedding. I asked them to sing Halo as our song- they sent me a short demo of the female vocal which sounded good before the wedding but at the wedding they must've used a different singer because it was completely off key. They were awful- which was such a shame and a waste of money we actually let them go 30 mins early in favor of the after party DJ. Tropics also hired strings to play my ceremony they were less than impressive- didn't play the songs I asked and the electric violin we paid extra for also missed the cue to play . I wouldn't recommend this company at all for bands. Higher ground is being over sold by them and is awful- they really ruined my reception.
