Sari and John definitely exceeded our expectations! Not only did they make our wedding day experience more than we could have ever dreamed, but they developed a personal relationship with us! We wanted to experience a secluded-beach ceremony with close family, and they did absolutely fabulous in achieving that for us! From the flowers, music, and beach location to the helpful tips of venturing outside of the resort- everything was perfect! We had planned to visit the El Yunque rain forest and the famous Luquillo beach, and Sari and John gave great advice on transportation and restaurants not pass up. Loved the Kioskos! They were always just a phone call away, whether it was wedding related, directions, or "what was the name of that restaurant?" We will definitely be back to celebrate our anniversary!

Sari was very helpful and informative throughout the whole process. She went above and beyond for us even though at times I as the bride became frustrated or anxious she always made sure she called to calm me down and put my mind at ease. I appreciate everything tropical weddings did for us.

Sari went above and beyond what we could have ever imagined and really took the time to personalize our wedding and make it truly unforgettable. Sari and her staff did an amazing job on my wedding! I couldn't have asked for a better planner! Having a destination wedding is already scary in itself, so it's vital that you have a wedding planner that you trust to meet all of your needs and make your wedding day as memorable as possible and Sari is that person! My decorations were exactly how I wanted, my budget needs were met, and all of my friends did not feel like they wasted their money coming to my wedding because it was that beautiful. I can't thank Sari and Tropical Weddings enough for all of their hardwork and dedication in making my special day as amazing as it was! My wedding is officially "The Best Wedding Ever!"

Our ceremony on the beach was so beautiful! Sari and John made planning this destination wedding a breeze and were very professional. Best wedding ever!

Simple, worry-free, and more than affordable for what you get in return. Everything was done over the phone/email and when the day came it was completely perfect from the venue to the flowers. If you just want to tell someone what you want, then sit back, relax, and wait for the day to arrive, then this is exactly what you need. I love Sari!!!! She is awesome! I was a bit nervous about getting married in Puerto Rico but Sari made everything super easy!!!! Filing our paper work took maybe 7 minutes tops because Sari was prepared. I recommend Tropical Wedding to anyone getting married! She goes out of her way to help you and makes you feel like family!

It Never Rains on a Tropical Wedding!

Choose Sari and John as your wedding planning team, take a deep breath, and know that everything will be taken care of. Most of you are new to planning a wedding. We certainly were. My wife and I are accustomed to being in charge of things in our careers. Our initial approach to preparing for our wedding was: sure, we will go through the motions of hiring our wedding planner, but we would still ultimately be the ones to work hard and make sure things are going smoothly. This strategy somewhat worked for the first couple of months. But as the the big day got closer my wife and I realized that we had no what we were doing. Due to all of our overthinking we got stressed. Sari called me (the groom) one day and with a gentle but blunt tone that I have grown to adore and basically told me to do ourselves a favor and take a step back. With many years of experience and an artistic vision at her disposal, she explained in detail how the wedding would ACTUALLY go and that we needed to finally let go and trust that they would handle things.
Sari and John were amazing. They were always prepared to fix any and everything that could possible go wrong most times before it got that far. They were amazing at emotional support and keeping our (read: the bride's) stress low. The wedding day was more beautiful and "perfect" than I ever imagined it being. Thank you both for looking us in the eyes and telling us to trust you! We would highly recommend the Tropical Weddings Team.

Sari and John were truly amazing! It was obvious from our first meeting that they knew what they were doing. They were extremely organized and Sari knew all of the questions that needed to be asked, things that we never even would have thought of! It was so reassuring to have someone who knew everything that needed to be considered for a wedding and also knew where to find it on the island. We live in NH but spend lots of time in Puerto Rico so we know a lot of people in the area, however there is no way that we could have pulled off our perfect wedding without Sari and John. They knew exactly where to go and who to call for everything from catering, transportation, decorations, a photographer and our rehearsal dinner. I cannot stress enough how nice it was to not have to worry about anything because they had everything under control. They really listened to us and took everything that we wanted and gave us an absolutely perfect weekend. We cannot thank you enough and hope to see you on our next visit!!!

Where to begin? Sari was amazing and understanding with EVERY change I brought to the table! When we moved our wedding from one end of Puerto Rico to another, she rolled with the punches and everything went very smoothly right down to her helping me save money! Our day went off with no sign of bumps or issues! The photographer was amazing! He even made a point to get me the photo album and the CD BEFORE I left the island. The Minister was so nice and surprised us with a song after we completed our vows! Everything was just wonderful! A million thanks!

THE BEST planning team for the best wedding

Working with Sari and her team was an absolute life saver. Planning a destination wedding throughout all the challenges during the uncertainty that the last year of COVID brought was very stressful. But Sari’s constant support, and on the ground knowledge of restrictions helped us plan and evaluate all of our options leading up to the wedding. She always was bringing to the table solutions to issues, or planning out back up plans just to be safe---and as a constant worrier of all of the “what ifs” that greatly reduce my stress and anxiety around having so many family and friends travel from mainland US to Puerto Rico. We even were fortunate enough to be able to make a trip down to Puerto Rico prior to the wedding and Sari helped us coordinate a venue visit, food tasting and hotel selection.

Sari was so incredibly helpful with bringing the highest quality vendors to the table, and helped us communicate with those vendors who may not have answered me as fast as I would have liked. Her past experience working at the venue we selected and the good relationships she has established with each of the vendors on our team really helped everything move smoothly from contract/price discussions all the way through the big day.

We owe Sari, John and Sam more thanks than we could ever say aloud for the best wedding experience for us and for our guests. Her team was available from the moment we arrived in Puerto Rico. They coordinated a quick visit to the venue a few days before the wedding, were present to help during the rehearsal run through and rehearsal dinner at the hotel the day before. On the big day, their team was there every step of the way, corralling our wedding parties and guests, giving a tour of the grounds to our photographer, fetching my veil and flowers and always refilling my drink all night long (thank you Sam). All our guests came up to us on the wedding and the days after telling us that this was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings they have attended—and we have Sari and her team to thank for that.

The Tropical Weddings team will forever be an amazing part of the memory we have of our wedding day, and I owe them so many hugs and thanks for their support in the planning process!

Almost two years later and I still have such fond memories of our wedding. Sari and John were amazing. So many things could have gone wrong, but Sari was prepared and handled everything seamlessly. Her staff and vendors were top notch. We had worried abut staying within budget, living in California and planning a wedding so far, all of our guests coming from all over the country... and none of that mattered because we had hired Tropical Weddings. If I had to describe Sari in one word I would say she is INCREDIBLE. Tropical Weddings is such a professional business surrounded by an awesome team. My husband and I planned to renew our vows in San Juan, Puerto Rico and didn't know how to coordinate a small beach wedding on our own. I contacted San Juan's visitor center and I was given Tropical Weddings information. Upon my first conversation with Sari, I immediately knew Tropical Weddings would coordinate my ceremony. From beginning to end Sari was there to answer all of my questions, and took my ideas of a romantic wedding to the next level. She met all of my destination wedding request and even assisted me with finding a makeup artist. Her warm personality matches well with her passion for creating beautiful memories. Her husband John, helped to set up our wedding ceremony and ensured that all of the small details were taken care of. Francesca was also a delight to meet, and I really appreciate her assistance. No words can describe my feelings on how pleased I am with Tropical Weddings. The ceremony was so beautiful that when my husband lost his wedding band in the Atlantic Ocean, it didn't even matter. I just renewed my wedding vows of 5 years on August 7th, 2015 and still the ceremony seem so surreal. Sari and John ROCK!

My husband and I can't say enough great things about Sari and John. We literally planned a wedding in three weeks, while living in Chicago, and we would not have been able to pull if off without them. We wanted a no frill, intimate ceremony on a beach with a sunset and that is exactly what we got. We wanted to change the venue the day before the wedding and they made it happen. As a bride on her wedding day I felt NO stress (other than when the Uber's car broke down on the highway, but I was still very calm :)). Sari was (and still is!) so responsive to emails and text messages. Sari and John are a great team and so much fun! They picked us up at our Airbnb and dropped us off at dinner. They even hung out with us and shared a drink with us to celebrate! We have made new friends for life and we can't wait to see them when we return to Puerto Rico!

We knew from the first phone call that Tropical Weddings was the right fit. Never having been to Puerto Rico, we certainly wanted to feel safe with our choice of wedding planners. Not only were Sari and John punctual and precise, but they actually spent several phone calls getting to know us before suggesting a venue for our wedding. I can say that the entire experience was priceless-- the beach they chose for the ceremony was so unique and perfect for us, that I am still bragging about it every day. Tropical weddings has insight to the places in Puerto Rico that no other planner seemed to have. They are so good at what they do, that thirty minutes after arriving in PR, all of our paperwork was done (what would normally take half or all day if you did it on your own.) There was no drama, and nothing but good hearted kindness and compassion. Sari and John cheered me on all the way to the altar! They will forever be in our memories and our hearts. I'd like to think that speaks volumes as to the lasting impression Sari, John and the rest of the team had on our special day rather than to us being slaves to procrastination. I guess we took this long because we knew finding the right words to thank you and John would be an insurmountable feat. On the morning of our wedding we went kayaking, got chased poolside by an iguana and played an intense game of ping pong. First I would like to say that I could not have had the wedding of my dreams without Sari and John. They took my vision and made it even more magical than I could have ever imagined. Every detail was carefully planned out and thought of. Not only did they take care of decorating and the catering staff at the hotel, but they made sure that all legal paper work was complete and ready to go so all my husband and I had to do was read it over and sign.
The day that Sari and John took us to the registry for the legal paperwork, we had mentioned that we forgot to buy sunblock, they went out of their way and stopped at a drug store so that we didn't have to pay the ridiculously overpriced amount at the hotel. Along with that they suggested and help us pick out snacks for the week so we didn't spend too much money on little things at the resort's little market. They also let us know, that along with anything for the wedding, they were available to us for the week incase we need anything at all. To me, this is going above and beyong their job description and this is what makes them stand out from the rest.
The day of the wedding, Sari and John made sure that everything went according to plan. They were so good with time, that the photographer was able to capture our first dance before the sunset shots. Also, later that night when the flowers girls were tired, I looked over and one of them was asleep on Sari. She had taken the flower girl so that my maid of honor could come on the dance floor and dance with me. I can tell you that my flower girls do not take easily to new people, however both Sari and John let off such a good vibe the girls fell in love with them immediately.
Towards the end of the night, Sari came up to me and let me know that she had all of my stuff sent up to my room and that once the night was over I didn't have to worry about gathering anything, that it was all waiting for me and all I had to do was to continue on my way and have a wonderful night. Not only did she take care of my belongings but she also made sure that the flower girl dress was delivered as well.
All in all, Sari and John did more than I had ever expected them to do and I am so grateful to not only have had them as my wedding planners but also to have met them. Without them, I wouldn't have had the most amazing day of my life.

Tropical Wedding were amazing they did an awesome job everything I wanted and more. I was referred by the hotel, had wonderful conversations by phone. When we meant in person they made treated me like family like we knew each other for ever! When we selected you as our wedding planners we were a bit nervous as to how everything would turn out because we were not physically able to see you but I am excited to say that every last thing you did went above and beyond our expectations! From the first time we talked you assured me that I was a guest at my very own wedding and I would not have to worry about anything except showing up...and that was literally the only thing i had to do. You became a friend and a counselor throughout the process whenever I needed to vent or express my frustrations and I thank you for that. My husband & I began looking for wedding venues in late November for a wedding to plan in 2 months. We called several various hotels, talked to various catering managers until we had the pleasure of speaking with Sari.. She was absolutely wonderful. Very efficient, very responsive to our inquiries & made the process stress free..! Tropical Weddings states "the only things the couples need to do is say I do" & this is no exaggeration.. Everything about our wedding day & stay in PR was wonderful..

Upon speaking to Sari, she gave us choices in venue as well. Originally, we were planning on a beach wedding - until Sari advised us that there was also an option to have our ceremony in the El Yunque rainforest as an alternative. Of course, now torn between the two, Sari advised she would send us pictures of previous weddings that she had coordinated at both venues to aid in making the decision. At that point, the choice was a no brainer, after seeing the gorgeous photos of a previous bride & groom exchanging vows by a waterfall on a rock with their feet in the water. !! Sari also put us in contact with Pastor Santana to officiate the wedding who created a beautiful ceremony for us that we will never forget.

The day of the wedding - Sari arrived to the hotel to transport us to the location with John (her husband) & Sheila her assistant. Sheila is also a very talented photographer & took pictures of us both during the ceremony & then also back at the resort (Gran Melia) for some of the most beautiful wedding pictures. This was great - in that we not only have a set from the photographer we hired but also Sheila's which were equally breathtaking.

Writing this review is the least we can do to express our gratitude for making our wedding day perfect. I wouldn't have changed a thing - except perhaps have hired a videographer so we could relive our beautiful day (January 18th) over & over again. As the days & years pass we will hold on to & treasure the special memories that Tropical Weddings helped create for us.

I could not be more pleased with my experience with Sari and her crew Tropical Weddings. I don't know what I would have done without them. Planning a wedding far away from home can be difficult. From my initial phone conversation til the day of my wedding everything ran smoothly. I am normally a worrier but they made me feel confident that everything would be taken care of and it was. Planning a destination wedding can be intimidating. When my husband and I decided to get married on his beautiful home island of Puerto Rico I knew I wanted to make it a wonderful experience for both our family and friends, many who would be visiting the island for the first time. Sari had overwhelmingly positive reviews so I decided to book with Tropical Weddings. We had over a year to plan and me being the procrastinator I am had to be reminded many times to keep on track. Sari was on top of everything and would email me and answer all my questions. She also gave suggestions on how to make our day special. However, nothing could compare to how important it was having her and John there when it came to crunch time. She knows all the "right" people on the island and helped us get our venue in order and getting our marriage license was a breeze. On the big day I couldn't imagine having pulled it off without the two of them. She allowed me to relax and enjoy the day while her and John worried about all the details. All I had to do was have fun and look pretty while Sari and John told me what came next. LOL. I'm very grateful I chose Tropical Weddings as our wedding planner.

My husband and I renewed our 2oth year vows in Puerto Rico at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar and Oceano. Sari was our officiant for this ceremony. She far exceeded our expectations. She gave me amazing tips from the sand ceremony to the dinner selections. Her husband John even fixed my veil before I walked down. They met with us days prior to the ceremony just to get acquainted with us and I feel that this was important and necessary. By the time of the ceremony they were like family. Sari L. Venegas Skalnik was absolutely amazing and very helpful. The email correspondences went smoothly, and with minimal direction. Tropical Weddings completed beautiful work for my bridal party, my arch, and my bouquet. On my wedding day, the team came in and introduce themselves personally. A bonus was all the coordination that the team helped to get me ready for my walk down the aisle. The personal touch was how Sari had tissues for me at the exact moments when needed. Just amazing I state.

I truly believe that Sari and John made our dream wedding come true! I could have not asked for a better pair of wedding planners by our side! Sari was like a second maid of honor to me she made sure I was calm, fixed my dress and always had our best interest at heart. Where do I start...Sari & John are simply AMAZING!! I purchased a wedding package through Gran Melia Resort and Tropical Weddings is a contracted vendor. Sari introduced herself months before the wedding and from the beginning she was extremely professional, responsive, and accommodating. She always gave her honest opinion and calmed my nerves (Any bride planning a destination wedding knows how extremely important it is to find someone that can ease your mind!) We decided to use Tropical Weddings for the flowers and Sari assisted in the design and was able to capture my vision clearly. The invoices were promptly supplied and they accepted PayPal which was an added bonus for us. The process to acquire our marriage license was extremely painless. Our wedding was on Monday and we had our license in hand by Tuesday! Everything Sari and John said they would do, they definitely delivered! They assisted in last minute ‘errands,’ provided recommendations on things to do, made reservations at a restaurant our last night in Puerto Rico, AND shared margaritas with us on the coast OH, I forgot to mention that they also gave us a contact for a driver who was simply INCREDIBLE. For a minimal fee, he transported us to and from excursions, bachelor party, spa appointments, etc. Angelo was the nicest guy you can ever meet! I can go on and on and on about all the wonderful things Tropical Weddings did for us however I do have 1 regret:

I should have hired Sari and John to coordinate the ENTIRE wedding. From beginning to end. It would have saved me a year’s worth of headaches and tears!

Tropical Weddings took care of everything. All we had to do was show up. They received the wedding dress and tuxedo, as well as, other weddings essentials before the wedding. Tropical weddings stayed in constant contact with us via e-mail and phone to make sure all needs were met. They not only made sure that our wedding went smoothly and without a hitch: they made sure that our in Puerto Rico stay was an enjoyable one. Tropical weddings were great. Fabulous Beach Wedding Elopement

It was just the two of us, but it felt like all our friends & family were there with the video option! Sari & John helped us from start to finish, even taking pictures with our phone to post on FB. Remote planning was made easy. They even brought us to get our marriage license! The flowers I ordered with just a picture were PERFECT! If you're planning a destination wedding, Tropical Weddings is the way to go. They made our day perfect and more than we could have ever imagined. Sari and her team pulled my wedding together in less than a week. Without her expertise and knowledge of legal marriage requirements in Puerto Rico, it would not have been possible. There is no updated or accurate information online so we were very grateful for her quick reply to my emailed questions not to mention her calming demeanor. She assured me it could be done and guided us through every step, she made this bride feel that I was definitely in the right hands. The ceremony itself was small and short but wow - did she bring the emotion of the day bubbling to the surface. She was an excellent wedding officiant and we just can't say thank you enough. My husband and I along with my 4 children celebrated our 15th year wedding anniversay by renewing our vows in Puerto Rico (August 2010).
I contacted Sari back in April and she was very reponsive. I didn't get back to her until 3 weeks before the event. Sari was very patient and worked with our budget.

Several emails went back and forth during that time I spoke to Sari once. The day of our event the kids my husband and I spent the morning swimming in the pool then returned to our room for a nap. I did not have to worry about a thing; I knew Sari was taking care of business. I met Sari, her husband John and Alfonso the photographer 20 minutes prior to the ceremony.

Our event was on August 23, 2010 during sunset in a private beach area of the Gran Melia Resort. My family and I arrive at the private area of the Gran Melia, our minister along with Sari were waiting for us. We begin by taking a few photos and the ceremony starts. My 3 year old was crying because she wanted to be held by mom or dad, Sari’s husband John was quick to pick her up and calm her (THANK YOU JOHN) until the minister was done with the ceremony. Everything was PERFECT! Truly an amazing and memorable experience. THANK YOU THANK YOU

I spoke to many planners and Sari was the one that stood out and I will refer her to anyone..

If you are looking for an event planner and are reading this: STOP looking, Sari is your girl! She will be my planner for any other event I have in Puerto Rico.

I cannot say enough good things about Sari and of Tropical Weddings! They made it so easy for us to have this amazing wedding for our children... from the moment their Driver Angelo picked us up at the airport, ( and he made several trips for our family as many of them were traveling with young children), to the moment he drove us back there, EVERYTHING was perfect.
They took the stress of making a wedding away from us, and handled it all.
All of the Vendors that we hired through them were amazing, from Alex the Photographer, to Kandy the make up artist, the Officiant, the DJ and of course Kasey, who was there for it all.
The cake was exactly what our children wanted and was delicious.
Our children met with Sari and John over a year ago when they went to PR from CA to pick a planner. they both fell in love with Sari and John. It is evident that the two of them know what they are doing

Sari, John and her entire team were absolutely amazing from the initial phone call all the way to the very end of our stay in Puerto Rico. We knew we needed a wedding planner because we had only been to Puerto Rico once for a quick weekend trip. Not knowing anything about venders or the marriage license process we had to rely on Tropical Weddings for advice on EVERYTHING. Not only were they friendly but they were very responsive and truly listened to our wants going above and beyond at every step. There literally wasn’t anything they wouldn't do to make our wedding perfect. From setting up our reception site, Catherine driving the bride separately to the ceremony so she could make a grand entrance, to Cameron pilling up guests into his pickup at the last minute to get everyone home safe, or John buying my wife chicken noodle soup because she was sick and couldn’t eat much. They honestly enjoyed making us happy and just had a way of making you feel comfortable and at ease. One example of what looked to be a nightmare situation that Sari turned to gold was when our Location for the Ceremony on the beach cancelled 3 days prior to the wedding. We would have freaked out but Sari just said to trust her and she would handle it. She was able to book us a last minute ceremony at the Trump Golf Course directly on the beach with a great pavilion. Honestly it was an even better choice that what we had originally booked and she handled all of the details; the sound system setup, décor, etc. Not only did she take care of our wedding but we stayed in Puerto Rico for a week and she would book dinner reservations, schedule guided tours, and handle any of our needs. I truly recommend Sari and her team and say with confidence that she is the best on the island. If you want an amazing wedding, stress free, with great memories to last a lifetime, then Tropical Wedding is your team. And if you decide to get married in Puerto Rico using Sari, invite us so we can do it all over again!!

From the moment Sari contacted me everything went smoothly and perfect. She listened to what I was needing. I was referred to Tropical Weddings by the St Regis...and they were amazing. I pulled together a very quick wedding with very little planning time and Sari jumped in and saved the day (literally). She was calm and knew exactly what needed to be done. We met Heicie when we arrived in Puerto Rico and she quickly handled all of our legal documentation. Our 11.11.22 Wedding Dream

Working with Sari and the whole team to plan my wedding was such a wonderful experience! Sari knows all the best wedding professionals/vendors to put together an above and beyond wedding team. We have family that live in Puerto Rico who does photography for weddings as well, and she confirmed by telling us we had all the best! Tropical Weddings knows how to work with exactly what you want and make things happen! They have a ton of great connections that made the process easy and could feel good about our choices. Since my husband and I didn't even go down once to try the food or see the venue before the wedding, but we trusted in Sari and Tropical Weddings...and it turned out to be an absolute dream come true. Everything we wanted was there and are great at handling and adapting to any mishaps that may happen in a wedding. Sari and John are really great people and felt like we've always known them when we finally met after a year or so of planning! Sari and her team even beat us to the rehearsal dinner when SHE had a flight in that day! Tropical Wedding's is the real deal and you wont be disappointed on your special day. Shout out to Emily for being amazing and by my side pre and during our wedding. She was so kind and flexible. My husband and I decided to get married in Puerto Rico, as I love the island and the beauty of it. We picked out the date and contacted the resort. Right after decisions about the wedding (date and location) became final, I found out I had been admitted to law school, my husband works out of town 1-2 weeks at a time, we are beyond busy. Tropical Weddings contacted me with the information and asked me what I had planned, I wanted something low key and stress free, and that is exactly what my experience was. I was contacted with the few decisions I absolutely had to make, and they handled the rest, and did it beautifully. The one detail I was anxious about was the minister who would be performing the ceremony, as I am Catholic but my husband is not, however we wanted a religious ceremony. I conveyed this to Sari and a couple weeks later I received an email with the Reverend’s name and a phone number, I called him up and he was amazing, I could not have asked for a better officiant if it had been in my own church. This level of professionalism and knowledge is really what astounds me about this company, you can tell they have a real feel for their customers and go out of their way to make your special day as perfect as possible. They took what little I gave them and made it amazing. Catherine, who happened to be handling the details of my wedding was great. She picked us up at our resort to get our marriage license, it was easy, timely, and painless, and we were soon back at our resort to enjoy our vacation. The day of the wedding was unbelievable easy, I literally showed up and got married! They picked out great music for the ceremony, handled my bouquet which was BEAUTIFUL, had everyone seated and ready to go (which with a group of 30 isn't very easy), picked me up at my room, and sent me down the aisle. I literally did not have to worry about one detail, and it beautiful. What they were able to provide me was far superior to anything I could have imagined.

They go above and beyond for their clients. My wife and I could not have been happier while planning our wedding. When we first picked Puerto Rico to be our wedding location we thought we could do it ourselves but then we found Sari and quickly realized how hard it would’ve been to navigate on our own. She knows EVERYBODY! We had a budget and they made sure we stuck as close to it as possible. Sari and her staff worked with my deployment schedule and continued working with my spouse in the planning while I was away. Let’s not forget John, he is a hoot! They were both a pleasure to work with and really made things that much more special. Our big day was magical. Tropical Weddings is military and LGTBQ+ friendly. We 1100% recommend Tropical Weddings to anyone looking to plan a destination wedding in Puerto Rico.

The owners are wonderful warm people that truly will go out of there way to make your wedding day run smoothly. From running to the store to buy groom's forgotten dress socks to ensuring all runs according to plan, to calming frayed nerves. Whatever it takes they will do. Sari even shows up with a wedding "emergency tool kit" to fix anything that may transpire. They are amazing and I would recommend them for small intimate weddings to those with several hundred guests. Over 18 years of planning weddings is clearly evident in all they do!

I need to back track a little so you can get the whole scenario. I live in illinois and my now husband planned a vacation (in September) to go to Puerto Rico in February/March to meet my Mom and Grandma. After the vacation was planned he decided to propose over Christmas and then in January decided we should get married in Puerto Rico. we had less than two months to plan this within our vacation! This is when I went online and found Sari from Tropical Weddings. She explained the whole process to me and I decided to use her for the legal services i would need. She made everything VERY easy and stress free! We did everything via email and phone, and when i arrived Puerto Rico, she picked us up at the hotel, helped us finish our legal work quickly (less than one hour - this was including the drive to and from the hotel) They even gave us recomendations of roads to take, grocery stores to go to, and local restaurants. When it was time for the wedding, she and John (her husband) were there to help with ANYTHING! They were just awesome and it was just a pleasure to work with them. I would recomend them for any size wedding. Having Sari and John on your side for a wedding is the best investment you can make when planning a destination wedding.

Wow!! Sari and John are the most amazing wedding planners! We are from Chicago and wanted a destination wedding in Puerto Rico. Originally we had one place we were set on, after Sari and John showed us the place they read my expressions of disappointment. Instead of trying to sell me on that place, they said, lets get a drink and some lunch and talk about what I had pictured. I suggested another hotel I was curious about and as soon as we got there, we knew it was the right place. Sari and John knew everyone there and were very well respected.

Planning the wedding for 65 people from Chicago was easy and smooth for the most part. Sari is available to call at anytime! Even in my moment of panic, she immediately eased my mind and reassured me that all would be just fine, and it was! The wedding turned out so beautiful! I expected something to go wrong, but amazingly, nothing did! Sari listens to what you want and what you have pictured. She makes suggestions based on her knowledge of weddings and was right on everytime. They were both very creative in coming up with unique seating arrangements and decor to accommodate what we had in mind. I have to stess again, the wedding turned out so beautiful and so much fun! All of the guests have even said it was the best wedding they had ever been to!

Sari and John are truly great and down to earth people. We got along with them immediately. I am happy to say that they went above and beyond everything they needed to do to plan the wedding and became our friends along the way. Can't wait to visit them soon!

A Tropical Glamour Wedding Like No Other

My husband and I are so happy that we worked with Tropical Weddings & Events Puerto Rico to make our amazing wedding happen. From the beginning, Sari and her team were as excited as we were and quickly got on the same page with regards to the style we wanted. This was our second wedding after having a much simpler ceremony earlier in the year, so I had some experience with weddings but nothing of this scale.

I was born and raised in Luquillo, so I wanted an event that would give the guests who had never been to Puerto Rico before an amazing experience. Tropical Weddings had vendors who were truly great and had such an eye for design. From our cake to our flowers, our food to the Piragua company who put on a show, everything was AMAZING! I'm still reeling from how beautiful everything turned out, even when it rained the ENTIRE DAY.

I'm definitely a nervous planner, but I received replies to every question I had and guidance on things I didn't even think about. The Tropical Weddings team is like no other and I can confidently say that I will be forever grateful that we were able to work together to make our dream wedding a reality. I will never forget it :)

I don't generally write reviews, but this review for Tropical Weddings is worth it. My husband and I were in search of a wedding planner for our destination wedding. After a few searches, we were contacted by Sari and John who helped us plan the perfect wedding. Our initial wedding date was set for Oct 5, 2017. However, we had to postpone our wedding because of Hurricane Maria. Shortly after the hurricane we were able to reschedule the wedding for May 2018. My husband and I were absolutely amazed and overjoyed with Sari and John in helping to plan and put together a beautiful wedding. Both were so amazing and easy to work with and made of lives so easy. I can't say enough good things about the Tropical Weddings team! Sari, John and Kim were wonderful!!! Due to a tight budget I made most of the decor and the centerpieces were not put together still, Sari, John and Kim took everything I brought and when I walked into the reception area I could not believe my eyes! Everything was just perfect! They put everything together and it was beautiful!!! I totally recommend them to anyone who wants to have their wedding in Puerto Rico. Sari and John were all we could have expected and more. They were so personable and professional and made us feel so comfortable on our big day. Everything was taken care of for us from flowers to photographers, all the vendors that they recommended to us went above and beyond our expectations. Juan with our flowers made our dreams come true. It was like he knew exactly what I wanted. The photographer Alfonso took beautiful pictures that captured out day perfectly. And our videographer Mirna made a video that was beyond our expectations. I had my dream wedding in my head, including vendors who had never even done a wedding before, and Sari and her husband made my dream happen. Despite numerous failed attempts to align the caterer with the hotel and numerous last minute changes Sari was there to ensure everything went according to plan. She came prepared for our day and had nothing else to be concerned about but us. She is very professional and did a great job. Her suggestions were spot on and her photographer was great. We did not utilize the legal services, just the ceremony portion but I am positive with her thoroughness she would do a great job with that too.

Absolutely Amazing

There are not enough good things we could say about Sari & John. After hiring them and booking our venue and vendors, we had one of the worst things happen- our venue canceled 4 months before our wedding. Sari was fantastic getting a new place booked and coordinating all of the details. She recommended and helped book the best vendors. If anything came up, they were so quick to work on fixing any issue, before the wedding and the day of. During and after the wedding, our family and friends could not commend Sari & John enough on how great they were planning and coordinating the event. I know without a doubt our wedding would have been a disaster without them there. We are forever thankful for the wonderful job they did making our day spectacular. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for any type of wedding, big or small!

Just fantastic!!

Sari and John were awesome and took all the stress and worrying away from planning our destination wedding. They were very flexible and even managed to get a sand ceremony set up for us when we asked for it a day before the wedding. Tropical Weddings helped with every aspect of the wedding and all our requests were better than we expected. The flowers looked better than the picture we sent. Location was private and beautiful. We were even treated to local Puerto Rican food a day before the wedding, which was amazing. They even helped with easing worries over having our blood tests in San Juan! To top everything off, we were even given a special treat on the day of our wedding which made the day even better!
