We had a great wedding day, and Nelson and Nelson Jr. were professional and responsive throughout the planning process and really helped bring our ideas to life. We loved how they supported our vision and made sure everything ran smoothly. The best part was the AMAZING food, only wish that we could have it everyday. Would definitely recommend having an event here.

My wedding was at Travelers Rest on 6/21/14. My husband and I fell in love with it after meeting Tina, who was an absolute pleasure to work with, and seeing the beautiful gardens where we had our ceremony. My day for me was perfect! My pictures are gorgeous thanks to the beautiful grounds. The food was fabulous and plentiful. The service was superb. My husband and I couldn't be happier with our choice of venue!

We decided to get married at Travelers after my husbands sister suggested it. She got married there and her guests are still talking about their wedding. Tina is an absolute dream. She made everything easy from planning to payment to the actual event. I couldn't believe the value of the Travelers Rest. If you want an outdoor wedding, the grounds of travelers are spectacular.
The food is delicious. And what's nice about Travelers is its not a wedding mill. You aren't seeing 6 brides during your event.
We couldn't think of a better place to get married, thank you for making our day special.

We had our reception at Traveler's Rest on 10/15/11 and despite a few hiccups in the beginning, it went exceptionally well.
The food was great, the servers were all very professional and the bartenders were on point! We created our own signature cocktail which seemed to be a hit and the bartenders executed it very well.
While we didn't use any of the recommended vendors, it didn't seem to be a problem at all and Dave even reached out to our DJ to get him a place on their list.
I've heard it is now under new management, so I'm not sure if this will be better or worse, only time will tell. The gardens are...

Be aware that they do not have a specific address so using a GPS won't help you get there, however with it being on a main road and right off the Taconic State Parkway, finding it shouldn't be an issue.
