We hired Trail Break to cater our wedding recently and we are beyond obsessed with the food and the service. From the very first informational call, to the tasting, to the wedding day, everything was professional, timely, and amazing. Not only do they have the BEST food out there, but it is evident how dedicated they are to providing the best service too. The owner, Topher, is super friendly and down to earth and clearly has a heart for this. Sabrina, the head caterer, is phenomenal at her job and made sure we did not have to worry about one thing on the wedding day. We got so so many compliments on the food from our guests. They have a ton of options and allow you to build your own menu for the day. We did their '2.5 tacos per person' quantity option and there was plentyyyy of food and enough to enjoy leftovers too -which they let you keep everything!! Lastly, the prices were VERY affordable and reasonable (especially compared to many of the other quotes we received from different vendors). We would highly recommend Trail Break and will be sure to use them again if we ever are throwing a catered event. 100000/10 stars. Phenomenal. -

Trail Break catered our wedding this summer and we couldn't have been more pleased! The food was amazing, Topher was super easy to work with and very responsive, Sabrina coordinated everything perfectly, and the price was extremely reasonable. Everyone was well fed, I loved that it was easy to customize the tacos for our guests with dietary restrictions, service was fast, and there were lots of leftovers. We've gotten tons of compliments on the food since the wedding (several people have literally told us that Trail Break's tacos were the best they've ever had), and the mocktails were a hit (it was nice for our guests who don't drink to have an NA option that was fun and yummy, and other people liked mixing liquor into the mocktail). I truly couldn't recommend Trail Break more, the service, food, and price is outstanding. Their brick-and-mortar restaurant is obviously just as good and there's a fun mini golf course next door, we can't wait to visit in the summer!! -

We had Trail Break Taps + Tacos cater our wedding reception and had the most amazing experience! Not only was everyone so easy to work with, but Topher and Sabrina took the time to answer all of our questions and helped us create the best menu and bar offerings for our guests.
The day of, they offered phenomenal service to our guests, were extremely helpful and flexible to deal with rainy weather, and helped our guests have an amazing experience.
We had three appetizers, four types of tacos and two sides on offer (everyone was RAVING about the street corn), and a huge range of NA and alcoholic beverages. The food was absolutely delicious. We couldn’t have been happier with the whole experience and will recommend Trail Break to anyone!! -

Could not speak more highly of Trail Break Taps & Tacos! Had them cater our wedding on August 23, 2025 with their taco food truck. Their staff was friendly and accommodating. They served all 150 of our guests within an hour and all of our guests complimented the food. Quite literally the best wedding food ever. Everyone had plenty to eat and there were plenty of options to choose from. If you’re looking for a food truck for your wedding, I highly recommend them! We taste tested at their restaurant location prior and everything was amazing. Thanks Topher, Sabrina, & team! -

These guys made our wedding vendor dreams come true! We knew from before we started mapping out our wedding that we wanted a taco truck, and we figured it would not be an easy task to get one of such quality to come out to the boonies of Vermont. But Trail Break did, and they made the whole process so easy! We were completely floored during our first tasting with them, at just how good every single item on their menu is. We locked it in immediately from there, and never looked back. The fact that they can be your food and drink provider, all in one, is huge. And it’s just all so good, with so many flexible options for drinks from batch cocktails to single serve cans - they really work with you to match what you’re looking for. And then on site, I can’t say enough good things about how flexible and chill they were. Loved the service, loved the aesthetic, loved the food, loved hanging on to all the leftovers for guests to snack on and enjoy later in the night. Truly the best!! -

Epic Wedding!
Trailbreak gave us an EPIC wedding. We could not have asked for a more perfect caterer. They were professional, personal, extremely hardworking and created an atmosphere that goes way beyond any other caterer. They took a lot of stress off of our shoulder on our big day by taking care of all of the little details. Every guest was extremely satisfied with the fun flavors, food quality, and cocktails. They made our wedding unforgettable and could not recommend them enough. -

The perfect kickoff to our wedding weekend!
We hired Trailbreak Tacos for our Friday welcome event and they were just the perfect team! Topher was so communicative and helpful throughout the planning process, and the day of service was so professional and efficient. Not to mention the food was DELICIOUS! The guests could not stop talking about how much fun the taco truck was, and it really added a special energy to our wedding weekend kickoff!! Cannot recommend them highly enough! -

We booked Trail Break for our rehearsal dinner this past weekend and 100% would recommend! Everything went smoothly, was on time and very delicious. All the guests were super happy with the food options and we even got to keep leftovers after dinner. (great late night munchie snack) Trail Break also provided all paper dinnerware products (utensils, plates, dishes etc) so we didn't have to rent more dinnerware which was greatly appreciated. Communication was easy and enjoyable :) -

We cannot recommend Trail Break enough for catering your wedding. We had a wedding of about 205 people and everyone we spoke to said how much they enjoyed the food and drinks, particularly all the tacos, the quesadillas, watermelon, and watermelon margaritas. They were also so accommodating to our specific drink needs like our signature drinks, and were willing to work with us to make our vision come to life. Topher and his team were also great at communicating through our whole process, and on the day of, showed up big time. In the world of crazy expensive catering options, Trail Break allowed us to serve delicious food and drink options without breaking the bank. Would recommend them to anyone getting married! -

We had one of Trail Break's taco trucks for our 50+ guests at a welcome party the night before my son's wedding. Their set-up was great & they brought everything needed to give the event a great look as well as provide delicious food and bar service. I think the guests were surprised at just how great the tacos, sides, apps etc. were, and since each guest orders their own tacos they could adapt them to their dietary needs. I heard so many rave reviews from the guests and couldn't be happier with the outcome! The bar service was also great, and we especially enjoyed the margaritas and local brews. At the end of the night they cleaned things up so much that you wouldn't even have known they were there. Except they nicely packaged up some of the leftovers for us! Thank you Trail Break, and especially Sabrina, for a worry-free perfect event!! -

While planning our wedding it was important to us to have many alcohol options for our guests. Trail break was able to accommodate both our food and bar needs. Trail Break was AMAZING for our rehearsal dinner and welcome party. Topher was extremely responsive and helpful during the planning process, even helping us find our rehearsal dinner location. Trail Break made our entire Friday night special and unique. First, the food is amazing and we received a ton of compliments from guests. Second, the drinks and service were also outstanding. Drinks were set and ready to go so guests didn’t have to wait too long. Third, the staff is so friendly and helpful. They made our Friday night seamless and special. We actually ended up going back to Trail Break two days after our wedding for another meal! The food is terrific. All around 6/5 star experience (if I could give it that rating). You will not be disappointed with Trail Break! -

There aren’t enough words to describe how incredible an experience we shared with Trail Break. Topher and his team were by far on top of their game from the first day I contacted them. Super responsive, and very accommodative as well. Topher helped us plan the food and beverage menu and work thru details and changes, as they presented themselves.
During the wedding we had a pretty steady unrelenting rain. And the crew went above and beyond to make sure our guests had the protection they needed. And everyone maintained a positive attitude the entire time.
The food was SO good. Ahead of the wedding, we had driven to Trail Breaks’ restaurant in White River Junction. Having only found them online, we decided to make the 3h trip to try the offerings. Options were many and it was hard to decide what to try. But Topher was on site that day, and made recommendations and presented a wonderful spread. The feedback we received from guests was super positive all the way around. *Muah! Chefs kiss, seriously. We were impressed and enjoyed leftovers for many days because hey, there’s no such thing as too much Mexican, there just isn’t.
Very excited to visit Trail Break at their new location in the spring/summer of 2024! -

If they are available and you are looking for tacos for your guests, this is a no-brainer. They were hands down the hit of the weekend for our guests. We knew they were a yes after the first few bites we had at the tasting and yet, the food was somehow even better at the actual event. They are very friendly, engaging, and their trucks look great as well. They even worked with us to procure specific kegs of beer, including kegs from an out of state brewery where our first date took place. The staff also really took care of us as the the bride and groom, ensuring that we ate and got to try whatever we wanted. Every step of planning was super easy and stress free. Pricing is also super reasonable for the service and quality of the product they put out. -

The staff - totally dope.
Trail Break was extremely helpful with us through the whole wedding process. We booked them about 2 years prior to our date and they were extremely transparent and accommodating throughout. All of my guests raved about the tacos, margs, and beers; so incredible.
Topher was our main contact and as brides planning our own wedding, he was extremely helpful and patient with all of our questions, concerns, and cravings.
Dinner was served really quickly, beer was poured in exuberant amounts, and for a 130, open bar wedding, the price was perfect.
Cannot recommend them enough, I want them to cater every event I go to. -

Trail Break is a totally wonderful caterer for a wedding. They were easy to work with, flexible but clear, came to our location, able to manage a large wedding (180+ ppl), and also acted as our bar. The food was delicious and we got so many compliments from our guests about the quality and quantity of the food. They also very easily accommodated the gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian crowd. I cannot recommend them highly enough! -

I was a little hesitant getting a food truck for our wedding because I wasn’t sure if it was going to seem too casual and I didn’t know how the food would travel (it was over a 2 hour drive for the food truck to get to Burlington). I was so wrong! Everyone still says how yummy it all was and how much fun they had at wedding being that they could dance, eat, sit, walk the beach when they wanted! The food truck not only gave the guests a “choose your own adventure” feel, but behind the scenes, my groom and I did the same. We picked all of the apps, beers on tap, sides, wine, and pass around apps. I also asked them to add a champagne toast along with two signature cocktails and they did not disappoint! They came with everything they/we needed and the food was prepared fresh and with love. We just saw too that they are updating our invoice to reflect the alcohol drank and it turns out we are saving even more than we thought. So honest and professional. We love Trail Break!! -

Taco Dream
Perfect for our annual company family picnic of 40 people. Tons of yummy food. We had a mix of ages from toddlers to adults and everyone enjoyed the food. We had the salsa/guac bar and homemade quesadilla as apps. Tacos are served fresh! Everyone loved the churros. Margaritas were superb. The two person crew (Seamus and Dylan) were amazing and very accommadating. From setup to cleanup everything went smoothly. They even packed up all the leftovers for us to take home. We would definitely hire Trail Break again for another event. Don't hesitate and book them now! -

Topher is amazing to work with! He is super understaffed right now and doing the best he can to make sure there is nothing with his service that is suffering from that! We decided to go with Trail Break for our sort of "rehearsal dinner" food, and had never tried it before, but we were extremely pleased with our choice! All of our guests (and ourselves) loved Trail Break! The spicy margaritas were amazing - everyone was a fan, without a doubt - and the food we got from there was great. The shishitos, the cornbread, the corn - everything was delicious, and so were the tacos (all of them were a hit). I write this review as a long time professional in the event and restaurant industry. This business is professional, down to earth & exceeds beyond the quality of your investment.
Not only was the quality of the food outstanding, everyone was pleased even those with dietary restrictions and picky eaters. Highly recommend the carnitas - everyone is still talking about 2 weeks later (street corn too & spicy watermelon margarita)
I also cannot rave enough about the staff and planning process. Current times make planning your big day a nightmare but Topher was kind, responsive, understanding and genuine. Same with the rest of his staff and event lead on the day of our wedding.
Inclement weather predicted on my wedding day and Topher never once made me feel panicked—-waited until the very last second to make a close call on execution. Dinner and drink service remained throughout passing showers. I’m sure it wasn’t easy to remain positive but the staff did not fluster! I cannot say thank you enough!!! Do not hesitate to hire them if you are on the fence! Our wedding was very traditional and the truck fit right into the vibe. Best ever!
The trail break team was nothing short of amazing. Food was fantastic (even our picky eaters and vegans were happy), drinks were flowing and amazing (Rum punch is to die for) and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We 1000% recommend hiring Trail Break! The service and food were incredible and they were so easy to work with from the very beginning and incredibly accommodating of our requests. They even made a special mushroom taco recipe just for our wedding! They brought their taco truck to the venue which was great. There was SO much food, and our guests loved it. We wanted catering that would match our vision for our wedding, fun, casual and amazing. Trail Break was a perfect choice, the food was amazing, we had very open and helpful communications with Topher who had lots of ideas for the event and made everything happen. The price was very good, less than we were quoted from other great local caterers. We are so pleased about how everything worked out! We wish the rain had held off so everyone could see the great taco truck, but we still had great food great drinks and great fun. See the menu my bridesmaids made up for our guests! Trialbreak food truck our wedding day, and they were absolutely fantastic to work with from start to finish. First and foremost, the food was delicious. We received numerous compliments from our guests about how much they enjoyed the meal.
One of the things that impressed us most was how efficiently the food was served. Despite a decently long line at the buffet, the wait time was minimal thanks to the quick and organized service provided by Trialbreak's staff.
Overall, we couldn't have been happier with our experience with Trialbreak. They helped make our wedding day even more special, and we highly recommend them to anyone in need of catering services. -

My husband and I just got married a few weeks ago and had Trail Break cater for us. Everyone loved the amazing uniqueness that Trail Break has to offer. Between all of the appetizers, side dishes, and tacos all of my guests were happy and full and we had so much food to spare. They were able to provide a great bar for us as well which made it super easy and the guests loved the variety that they were able to provide. Topher was super understanding and great, answering all of my hundreds of questions, and meeting my every need. Would definitely recommend for those who want to stray away from the typical formal steak, and chicken formal dishes and go for something different that guests will remember and love!TRAIL BREAK taps + tacos's reply:
