We were delighted with Gene’s and Mary’s DJ/MC services and appreciated them. They were very professional and helpful in deciding our music playlist and provided a monogram for our wedding. Gene and Mary were great MCs – they were fun and lively and made announcements promptly. Being bi-lingual was a must for us due to having an English and Spanish-speaking family, and they were able to communicate with everyone masterfully. We were delighted with his music selection as our dance floor was never empty! We recommend them to everyone looking for a professional people/company. They made sure everyone left the wedding having a good time.

Enjoyed working with Gene and Mary.

Gene and Mary were super helpful, friendly, personable, and definitely experts of their craft. Hector our DJ was attentive and friendly. Our dance floor was never empty!

Highly Recommend

Gene and Mary are such a joy to work with. Gene was referred to us through our planner and from the very start, we knew we lucked out. Everything was so easy, from the first meeting to the day of. We were having a small wedding in a backyard and since it was during COVID we weren't having a dance floor. We just wanted some background music and Gene delivered. He played the best music. The whole night people were singing along to the songs and really enjoying it. I am so happy we found Total Entertainment Experts and that they were able to be apart of our day. I highly recommend them!

Gene and his wife were a huge pleasure to work with. My whole family met them in person and had an instant connection. They are extremely professional, easy to get ahold of, and experts at their job. Guests loved their music and kept everyone on the dancefloor all night!

From begging to end they made our event unforgettable

My Wife and I booked Total Entertainment Experts for our wedding on 04/12/2019.
Let me just tell you, from the begging we knew this was the right choice!
We first met with Gene and Mary at a local Starbucks to go over what we needed and wanted for our wedding. They could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Made us feel comfortable right away. They listen to what you want and need from them and set you up with an amazing timeline. From the ceremony to the last song everything is so organized! We appreciated that since we had no idea what order to do things in. They make sure you know what songs you need and they give you a printout so you can take home and make your song choices if you dont have them yet.

Our dj and mc were Fredy and Brendan, they came in qith a beatufil set up and the whole night they kept the party rocking! They listemed to everything me and my wife requested and they always had control of the crowd. The dj played all the music we wanted to hear and was great behind the decks! We keep getting compliments on all the good music played that night. The mc was great behind the mic, pronounced all our names right and kept hyping us up, which me and my wife enjoyed. Stayed on schedule and always had the crowds attention!
So overall i was completely satisfied with rhe company and all the individuals we got to interact with from meeting at the Starbucks to the final song at our wedding, i wouldnt chose anyone else. Id reccomend TOTAL ENTERTAINMENT EXPERTS to anyone having any kind of event cause they are professional and will make sure your party is a great time!

Amazing!

Total Entertainment Experts were amazing and made our wedding experience one to remember for the rest of our lives. The entertainment alone comes second to none and I plan on using them again in the near future. Thank you Gene and Mary for making our wedding one for the ages!

Wow! My husband and I cannot say enough about how amazing Gene and Mary are!!! This husband and wife team was a very special and important part of our wedding planning from the start. They helped us with planning details above and beyond the expectations we had. They were always available to answer any questions with a quick response. Our Wedding was on May 5, 2018, and Gene played the music for our ceremony and kept the timeline of the reception on schedule! During our reception, Gene had all our guests on the dance floor. He is very interactive with your guests, and he had people dancing who do not typically dance!! We had so much fun, and all of our guests commented on how great Gene and Mary were. They really helped make our wedding a dream come true!!!!

We had a blast and Gene and Mary made the evening a success. Really easy to work with and very flexible. Our wedding was customized to our taste and our guest had a blast. Highly recommend. The photo booth was a hit too!

Total Entertainment Experts is the way to go for your event! My husband and I hired Gene and Mary for our wedding this month and we are 100% satisfied with their work. During the process of wedding planning, Gene and Mary made it super easy for us on their end. They provided pages of suggested songs, a timeline for the day of, and bride & groom questions. Our emails were replied to quickly and they are just awesome people to work with and have at your event. We provided must-hear songs which were played. The day of the wedding Gene and Mary were on time, stayed on schedule, and provided fun entertainment. We received nothing but compliments about our DJ and the music. Thank you Gene & Mary!

Gene and Mary are amazing DJs. Gene really knows how to keep the crowd engaged and entertained, and makes sure that you are staying within your schedule, which was such a peace of mind and extremely helpful. He is an amazing Masters of Ceremony and truly keeps the crowd entertained. His wife Mary is an outstanding DJ and they are both super nice and down to earth. My husband and I were praying for a great DJ and we could not have been happier with Teexperts. They are the best DJs ever and whenever we have any type of events that require DJs we know who we will go with. Teexperts also have a great selection on songs and recommendations from the the moment your guests arrive to the very last song. Everyone at the wedding had so much fun and were so entertained. Gene is very good in knowing which direction to head based on the crowd and the feel of the atmosphere. Everything was great, from the first meeting to the wedding, not to mention we have gained amazing friends! I highly recommend Teexperts, if you are thinking about and researching for DJs for your wedding day or any special event, don't even think twice, go with Teexperts. They also have one of the best prices for being such great DJs and for having a Master of Ceremony and a DJ!

We had our wedding last August and we were so glad we chose TEE as our DJ/ emcee for our special day. The wedding was just small and intimate with 30 guests but verybody had a blast! Great music and fun night. I received a lot of compliments for Gene from my guests. Gene and Mary were so accommodating and helpful during the planning process as well. TEE is highly recommended for any occasion, if you need a DJ /Emcee, it's worthy it! Thank you again :)

This team put on an amazing show! They played great music and really got the guests up and dancing and everyone had a great time! They were interactive, fun and made every guests feel welcome and included. They were professional and made the bride and groom feel extra special. Gene and his wife are an awesome team. They are great to work with. They were always available when I needed them. They put together a great timeline for my reception. They stayed with the music I picked and specific songs I wanted. They were great with the crowd. They were especially great with the kids. They kept the kids at my wedding entertained and allowed the parents to enjoy their dinner while he played games with the kids. The parents also stayed longer because of this. He helped my wedding reception be on time and go smoothly. I highly recommend him.

Gene and Mary were very hands on when it came to planning for our wedding reception and ceremony music. They really went out of their way to make sure we had a clear idea of what was going to happen and that we were happy with the song choices. Unfortunately Gene wasn't able to be the DJ host for our wedding since he had a prior commitment, but he and Mary set us up with one of their guys and it worked out great.

Gene and Mary were amazing from the get go and I am so thankful that I chose such a wonderful company to DJ my wedding! Gene and Mary were both very organized, had a thorough timeline for everything and were so very kind. My first meeting with them was to go over my wedding party, to create a timeline of what would happen during the wedding and reception, and decide the genre of music that my husband and I liked. They kept in touch on a regular basis via email to follow up and see if I needed help with anything. I met with my actual DJ, Fredy, I think like three weeks before the wedding. I had all my songs picked out and just told him to play whatever he needed to in order to get people on the dance floor as my family and friends weren't dancers.....Fredy reviewed the timeline with me and we made some changes ....Fredy was super amazing though. Very friendly and sweet, made himself available if I needed anything and my wedding was a blast! I got so many compliments as to how much fun my wedding was and how it was the best wedding they have ever attended...the music had everything to do with it! I definitely recommend TTE and Fredy to DJ your wedding! They are well worth every penny spent!

We hired Gene for our New Years party. Gene is an all star and a great guy. He is kind, honest, talented, well priced and very professional. He kept our crowd engaged and dancing to the wee hours of the morning. I strongly recommend Gene for any occasion.

We booked Gene and Mary for our wedding and we are so glad that we did! My husband and I are both introverts and so we were looking for someone who can make our wedding reception fun for our guests. Gene and Mary (Total Entertainment Experts) DJed our wedding and did a fantastic job. Gene and Mary met with us a couple times prior to the wedding to go over the ceremony format and talk about the kind of music we wanted to hear. Gene and Mary handled the music and audio for our ceremony, reception toasts
etc., and reception dancing. We like older music (50s-80s) and gave Gene some examples of the kind of stuff we wanted. He did a great job of working with those songs and adding in others that were similar and we liked. Gene acted as the sort of "master of ceremony" during the reception, introducing people and letting the crowd now about the different things that were happening (cake cutting etc.). While Gene is doing this Mary stays back and works the sound controls. Having both of them there is nice. Gene and Mary were very professional and great to work with.

I can't thank Gene and Mary at Total Entertaintment Experts for being so amazing! I could'nt of made a better choice for MC and DJ. They did the DJ, MC, Up lights, and monogram. They are the sweetest! Yet super professional and organized. They were so releaving and make you feel so comfortable. I swear I wish they were family. Lol. Gene is halarious.
So they day of my wedding the venue/reception did alot of wrongs and nearly ruined my wedding night but Gene and Mary saved the day. They totally switched up and took over the flow of things and they really make my night. I was really bummed and irritated as I was barking up the staff for all their mistakes but as soon as Gene came in he made it all better. I 120% recommend him to everyone! You will not be dissapointed. You will be so happy you went with TEE.
When it come to the price, they are great. They work with you and they truly are worth every penny. You can put a price on everything they do for you.

Thank you Gene and Mary. I am looking forward to having you guys at all my life events.

It is hard sometimes to come up with words but WOW!. I have had the pleasure of 2 times seeing Gene and Mary in action. Once at my then Fiancée brothers wedding and then at my own wedding. We chose them after we saw them at my now brother-in- laws wedding. At the time I was actually recovering from a broken leg and on crutches but after hearing them getting the crowd revved up and kicking the party into high gear It made me want to get up and dance on my crutches and of course I did.
Not to mention our recent wedding 10/18/2014 they once again delivered with a bang! They are so professional in every step of the way from the intro explaining how the event will go to helping with the song list to making sure everything went smooth during the whole event. They are more like wedding organizers not only fabulous entertainers. Gene and Mary are just plain awesome. It seemed more like they were friends running the show not hired to play music. It was a real joy thanks so much to the both of you. They are the type you could just hang out with and know its going to be a good day. Gene and his wife provided a service that was remarkable! There was no need for a wedding coordinator due to there schedule! Thy kept the crowd alive and awake with great music and games! Could not have asked for a better couple to DJ and MC for our wedding! I highly recommend!!!

As parents of the bride and hosts of the evening, we could not have been more pleased with the service you provided. It started with the ability to enjoy the ceremony with wonderful sound, to the end of the evening with the DJ service provided. All family and friends have complimented the wedding on it being one of the most enjoyable evenings they have experienced. You were able to entertain our small group of about 60 people all through the day, keeping it fun, lively, and yet on an intimate setting. Could not recommend you any higher.

We needed a DJ for our wedding and these guys came highly recommended by the place that we were having our wedding at. We were on a tight budget but Gene gave us a really good deal. It was worth every penny and more! Both me, my husband, and all our guests agree that our wedding would not be as awesome as it was if it weren't for Gene and his wife!

The name says it all, "Total Entertainment Experts". Gene and his wife Mary truly brought magic to our wedding. I mean what good is an amazing movie, love scene, action scene without the music. Not only was their music nicely mixed with genres that we loved but with music to get everyone, all 250 people on the dance floor. The both of them were the most flexible and genuinely caring people I have ever worked with. Last minute we wanted to add an entrance dance for the groomsmen, literally hours before the weeding. Gene and Mary did not bat an eye, they took our idea and perfected it. We love them and are eternally grateful for making our special day truly SPECIAL!

David and I had the opportunity to work with Gene & his wife. Since the first date we met to talked about our wedding, they both made us feel so comfortable. Our wedding was simple, but with the creativity of Gene and Mary we had the most amazing day of our lifes. The music, how outgoing Gene is with the crow and how he makes everyone feel confortable, and happy it was amazing. The lighting gave our wedding the romantic, elegant vibe that my husband and I were looking for. Gene and his company were always there when we needed anything, Gene and his wife make sure that everything was exactly how we wanted and the most important thing they make sure that as bride & groom we felt relax, and had the time of our lifes. My wife and I used DJ Gene for our wedding in June 2013.
Before we decided on him, he scheduled a meeting to discuss wedding logistics. Right when we met him and his wife, we felt that they were very friendly and enjoyable people, with a great sense of humor. They have a lot of experience with different types of parties and weddings, and provided a well detailed framework of how the night could be structured. It was very helpful to hear their insights into how to make the wedding reception fun and smoothly-run. He was also very easy to collaborate with regarding the types of traditions and events we wanted to have for our night. In addition, when he heard that we were having difficulty finding a photographer, he very kindly gave his input, recommending two people he has worked with, and emailed us their contact information.
As far as the services he offered, he provided DJ/Emcee services for the duration of the reception and cocktail hour, up-lighting and a monogramed light with our initials. The pricing was more affordable than other DJs for 6 hours of service.
On the wedding event, he did a great job of making the night run very smoothly. All our guests received notifications about important events like when to move into the reception hall, when it was open bar hours, and when food was to come. The music he selected was great – all our guests from age 2 to 87 heard and enjoyed the music. It was great to see that during the dances, every guest was on the dance floor. Very importantly, DJ Baca made the night special by always reminding the crowd of the reason for the night, the celebration of our marriage.
DJ Baca and his wife are two kind, fun people with a lot of experience in event planning and music, and they really helped make our wedding a perfect night. It is interesting to note that even months after our wedding, friends and family still comment about how great the “funny DJ” made the wedding.

If you are looking for a team to not only help you with your wedding day, but plan your wedding day, Total Entertainment Experts is the way to go!!! Not only were they more than experienced in outlining a wedding, they provided feedback and ideas to help us on our special day. Any time I had an issue, they were right there to support me in every way!! The music was awesome, the uplighting made the banquet room come alive, and the DJ kept my wedding alive throughout the whole night!!! Needless to say, if I ever have another party to book, T.E.E. will definitely be headlining the night. They are professional yet warm and thats hard to find with any vendor!

Gene and Mary were awesome! They set up a meeting with us prior to our booking them. They were very thorough in explaining what it is they would do for us and how our wedding would progress. They provided us with ideas and examples of things that worked in their experience. They were completely willing to tailor the entire day for us. They worked with our budget and provided us with everything we needed. On the day of the wedding they were sure to play all of the songs that we had previously requested. They were also willing to take requests from guests during the wedding, which is something I've known other DJs to hate in my past experiences. Even now over 2 weeks after our wedding we still have guests saying how awesome the music and flow of the night went. The music, the announcements, and the coordination exceeded our expectations. We met Gene and his lovely wife Mary at a Starbucks, we were ready to book them on the day of the meeting, but Gene was already booked, but he had another DJ in his stable, Stephen. He promised that his wife Mary will be there as sort of a go to person as well. After meeting Stephen on face time, we took the plunge and they just delivered on everything they promised. They did a timeline for us, took multiple meetings with us, and checked in with us every now and then on the weeks leading up to the wedding to see if there was any changes to the timeline. On the day of the wedding, Mary and Stephen did a awesome job of setting up the place, my wife left her garter at the hotel and were going to just cut that out of the timeline, but Mary offered to drive down to the local Michael's and pick one up for us. She went and was back in 30 minutes to save the day. Throughout the wedding they would check in on us and ask if we needed anything to drink or done. They were an amazing team. We are going to recommend them to all our friends and family.

It’s hard to know where to start, because there are so many wonderful things I have to say about Gene and Mary. When first thinking about Music it never dawns upon you to think that it plays such an important role- having a wedding event with them was truly amazing. There was never a dull moment since the first time we met with this wonderful team- Immediately there was a timeline drafted and in that instant as Gene and Mary were discussing their services I got lost into my wedding world. I imagined the noise the background music the excitement. I will say I was not disappointed. As the bride I recall the excitement as we were introduced into our crowd of guests, it build anticipation it made us comfortable to be who we are and I can say it was all because of Gene’s incorporation to keep everyone alive. It was a great way to bring family and friends together there was not a quiet moment and everyone had fun.
Several appointments were made to follow up on current information for music choice, responsiveness was immediate and their level of professionalism was truly exceptional.

Gene and his wife were very professional and experienced. From the beginning, they took charge and offered recommendations and tips while still taking our plans into consideration.

On the day of the wedding, they were very flexible considering that we extended our mariachi band from the original timeslot.

They were able to get everyone on the dance floor with a clever rendition of "New York, New York."

Gene and Mary were completely professional from the first time we met them to discuss the possibility of hiring them for our wedding. Although we booked them about a year in advance, we felt their commitment to our special day.

Closer to our wedding date we exchanged emails on what we needed to provide them and soon thereafter we met to finalize details. They went completely out of their way to drive about two hours to our neck of the woods during rush hour to help us finalize our 'entertainment itinerary' which is easily described as the reception. They took their time, were patient with us and walked us through every detail, making sure we were happy with the song/music choice. We felt so fulfilled when we finished our meeting, I knew we were in good hands.

The day of our wedding, things could not have been any more smooth. When meeting with Gene and Mary, they had devised a plan to get people on the dance floor through a centerpiece giveaway which we didn't even have to use. Gene had a great presence and really knew how to gauge the guests. He played the music from the list we provided and even music we missed and were to glad to hear at our wedding. They both successfully catered to the musically likes of our guests, which included at least four generations.

We are so thankful for their opinions, thoughts, and overall professionalism. Our wedding was not as easy to plan because it was the first large formal wedding in both our families. Yet, with TEE's help, we were easily able to turn our wedding into a perfect blend of us and our traditions all the while making sure everyone had a blast. We still receive compliments from our guests telling us how much of a good time they had at our wedding.

Gene & Mary are awesome!!! They made our June 23, 2012 wedding a night that all our guest will remember for a long time. From the beginning We were super impressed with Gene and Mary's organization, friendliness, and knowledge about every detail of a wedding. I have a big loud Mexican family and my husband has a more reserved Asian family and I was concerned about making our wedding fun for both our families and I was thrilled that Gene & Mary were able to get everyone on the dance floor. It has been weeks since our weeding and friends and family are still raving about how much they loved the music and how much fun they had at our wedding. Gene was not only a fantastic DJ, but also an amazing MC who kept the party going. Both Gene And Mary made sure that every single detail at our wedding from the grand entrance, father daughter dance, cake cutting, etc. went smoothly and happened on time (I seriously did not have to worry about a thing that night). I can go on and on About how happy I was with Gene and Mary's service and professionalism....I recommended them 100 percent!!!

I don't like to rate businesses and professional services. When I do, I never give out the maximum number of points allowable - no one is that good. But then I did business with Gene Baca and Total Entertainment Experts and I had to make an exception to my rule.

My Bride and I could spend pages raving about what a magnificent job Gene did at our wedding. Believe it: He does a fantastic job of both providing entertainment and expertly managing a reception. What impressed me most about working with Total Entertainment Experts, however, was the professionalism and attention to detail prior to the wedding and the response of our wedding guests at the reception.

Gene worked with us for most of an afternoon prior to our wedding date mapping out our expectations. That's fine but then he proceeded to follow the Master Sequence of Events List to the minute and keep an even flow to our event. He was funny, engaging, ready with the right tune at the right time, and felt more like a close member of our family that knew us well who was providing the entertainment services.

Our guests repeated stated at the wedding and in subsequent post event discussions what a magnificent job Gene did. Nothing makes a couple beam more than hearing their guests comment on success during an event that could be prone to slip ups.

I was stunned by the quote I was given for the DJ services in the beginning. This was primarily because by the time we met Gene I was shell shocked from all the "thousand dollar bills" that needed to be doled out to pull off the wedding. In hindsight not only was Total Entertainment Experts well worth the money but the value of their service is immeasurable. Knowing what I know now I can honestly say that I would have paid twice his contract price to ensure the type of smooth event our wedding day was.

Before you talk to anyone else, spend 15 minutes on the phone with Gene Baca. A true professional and a damn nice guy (this was the first but not the last time we've met) he and his wife Mary were the margin of difference in making a good wedding great.

Gene @Total Entertainment Experts was DJ/MC at our wedding. Could not have chosen a better person. I had many guests asking me, who our dj/mc was. Fun, Fun, Fun!!!! Can't wait to use them again.

Top notch and professional entertainment! The wedding service and reception entertainment went smoothly from beginning to end. I would definitely hire Total Entertainment Experts and Gene Baca again, and would recommend anyone in need of TEE's service to do the same.

My husband, Michael and I, had a beautiful wedding on March 19, 2011 at the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens. We hired Gene Baca with Total Entertainment all day. Working with DJ Gene was fun, easy, affordable, and memorably entertaining. He was also our Master of Ceremonies. He was organized, caring, and happy to serve us. I could not have been more pleased! I am so glad that we went with Total Entertainment, they made sure that everyone had a good time at our wedding. We received so many compliments about how engaged and attentive they were. I will be sure to recommend them, they are GREAT at what they do!

These two never stop working! What I loved most is how knowledgeable they were and how anytime i would email/text they would get back to me ASAP and help me through anything i needed. Gene and Mary are awesome. From the moment i first met with them they seemed so excited to be apart of our day. They are so professional and made my husband and I's day sooooo smooth and wonderful. My guests loved how engaged Gene kept everyone. They loved that music was being played that kept them on the dance floor. We had a wonderful time. They sure do go above and beyond. Gene = Wedding Genius. Gene + Mary = Perfection.

Seriously.

First of all, we have to discuss the Mary factor. We first met this couple for coffee to discuss them potentially working our wedding and Mary typed notes and put together a wedding day timeline as we spoke. She brought a portable PRINTER. To Starbucks. She printed those notes for us. It was amazing and we were sold right there. We knew that with her involved, we could trust Total Entertainment Experts to not forget the little details.

Next, Gene. He is not your club or lounge DJ, but we found him to be the perfect wedding DJ. If you're bringing together different cultures and different generations of parents and grandparents and friends, please consider a true wedding genius like Gene. After having been a guest of many different weddings, we think the DJ/emcee is one of the biggest factors in determining how the night goes and how much fun people have.

In that sense, Gene and Mary worked with us in great detail laying out our wedding ceremony and reception timeline (even going so far as to work with us on the language they would use in introducing us, etc.). They were extremely patient and flexible and we truly had a great balance between our vision and their knowledge and wisdom from doing so many weddings. In the end, the day felt truly ours: we picked our playlist of cute indie songs for the cocktail hour and key points in the night, then gave them the freedom to get our guests involved and out on the dance floor. Yes, this involves cheesy wedding games and songs, and you're going to have to cede control and trust Gene. In the end the proof is in the pudding. The dance floor was NEVER EMPTY. After having been to so many weddings where bride and groom have to drag others out onto the floor, this is huge!

My older relatives raved about how much fun they had. My friends - singles and couples - were busting a move to contemporary music and oldies off and on throughout the night. Thank you!!

Book them!!! They work with you every step of the way. They also give you quick responsiveness when you are trying to get in touch with them. Everyone was happy

Gene and Mary did a great job at our wedding. They worked with my photographer to stay on my timeline (I didn't once have to refer to my timeline because they had it all under control!- Great to not have to think after months of stressing!).

Gene kept the party going and definitely read the crowd and played what people wanted to hear.

I had several friends ask me for his details-- they all want to keep him in mind for the future parties!

One additional thing to note, Gene has ideas for games to get people on the dance floor, but in the case of my wedding, we didn't need any of them, but if you do, he has some in his back pocket!

DJ Gene and his assistant Mary were wonderful to work with from start to finish. Our initial meeting was warm, friendly, and very professional. They were very accommodating and receptive to our ideas as well as recommended some great ideas of their own. Their service charge is very reasonable and well worth their value.

On the day of our event, both Mary and DJ Gene were on time which is a major plus, got right to work, and dressed appropriate for the occasion. They worked well with the other vendors and injected a lot of energy to our party.

We did run into a couple of minor technical difficulties through the course of the night but the issues were promptly resolved. Again, DJ Gene and Mary were very professional were quick on their feet. Overall, everyone enjoyed their experience and we definitely would recommend their service to anyone.

Total Entertainment Experts were great to work with! Gene and Mary understood our needs, and were able to get our guests energized for our wedding. They have clever methods for getting the crowd involved without being cheesy (which can be a fine line). They were responsive to any questions we had, they were friendly and approachable, and very professional. It's easy to see that Gene is passionate about his work, and ensures that everyone has a good time when he's around.

The only thing we would've changed was that we wanted more music played from the dance play list we chose (i.e. more new Hip Hop dance songs). However, we understand TEE was trying to adapt to the crowd's mood and get them out on the dance floor.
