Brad and his staff made our day absolutely perfect!
We used Top Hat tuxedo for our wedding, and I could not be happier! The staff is so knowledgeable and pleasant, they really took their time to get to know our needs. The tuxedos beautiful and looked just like new. I was pleasantly surprised at the pricing as we had looked around other tuxedo stores and found they were very reasonable, and had great deals! They were able to accommodate all of our out of town guests and everything fit perfect! I will definitely use them again. Thank you!!! -

Wedding Weekend

They came through for us!
We were renting tuxes from another company, but everything fell through 2 weeks before our wedding due to covid-19 related store closures. We then found Top Hat Tuxedo and they were great! They got the men fitted quickly and have all the clothes in-house so we could get them quickly. They were easy to work, cheaper than the other place, and the guys looked great! -

Greatabulous!
Well I must admit... I was planning my wedding in less a months time, I needed suits and a tux for my groomsman, ring bearer and I on a short notice and required nothing short of prisitine excellence. I'm only getting married once after all and really wanted to nail it. Guess who delivered...? Yup, it was Top Hat Tuxedo in Waterworks!
I mean from great deals on the suits to the fits that were next to perfect. The icing on the cake was that everyone got to keep their suit... Ikr!
Now the job on my jacket was absolutely fantastic! I was very impressed at the level of skill that was put into sizing it just for me and everyone loved it and of course my bride did the most. So much so that I originally rented it but ended up buying cause it looked so good on me. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention the high quality of customer service my family and I received from Andrea mostly. She really made us feel like we were an extension of the Top Hat Tux family! Thank you so much Top Hat Tuxedo on Freeport Rd. for assisting me in making my wedding day one of the greatest days of my life!!! -

Amazing service

We experienced great service working with Top Hat Tuxedo. We had a destination wedding in Florida and they were so accommodating for the extra time we needed for the rentals. All the groomsmen looked great in their tuxes! I would definitely recommend Top Hat Tuxedo at Waterworks Mall! -

I was treated with the most respect that I’ve seen from any other business. From the second I walked in until I was done getting fitted. Than they had my order finished within a day. I am happy I chose this place because they set up my suit better than I expected and I felt so fresh on Prom i couldn’t appreciate a place more. All of our groomsmen looked great and Brad, the owner, even suggested the suit purchase option with rental shirts, shoes, ties, etc. to keep everyone looking the same, but to also accommodate a larger member of our bridal party. Plus we got a free tux rental for the groom, discounted tuxes for the dads, and a spa gift card for me. All of the guys appreciated that everything fit will and that they got a new suit too. -

Top Hat Tuxedo was an excellent choice! I knew I wanted to go with a smaller business as opposed to the big chain tux warehouses for our wedding. I met our sales representative at a bridal expo, and knew it would be a great experience from the start when she was genuinely interested in my wedding look, colors, etc. They also have great incentives - 2 free tux rentals, a free suit for the groom, and I even got a spa giftcard! Our wedding had a lot of different colors and combinations, but Top Hat Tuxedo was able to get us samples of all 4 colors we needed with no hassle. In the end, our 4 different tie/tux combos looked incredible and I cannot thank this team enough! -

The top hat tuxedo fit my husband very well, the shoes looked nice, the measurements and the customer service was top notch. I also appreciated the way the ushers, the groomsman and best man looked. I highly recommend top hat tuxedo to anyone desiring an elaborate looking wedding for great price. -

Things got a little confusing for the groomsmen concerning the records of whose stuff was ready when, had been shipped when and where, and had been picked up or not. But, in the end everyone got what they needed and looked great. We went with suits that the groomsmen bought instead of renting tuxes because the price point for some very nice suits was very reasonable and then they could keep them. Even though we bought instead of renting, they still offered shirts, shirt studs, cuff links and shoes for our groomsmen to rent at no additional cost. They also had a large selection of ties and vests, but we chose to buy our own elsewhere. They were very helpful with the initial consult, had a lot of great options, had great prices, and were flexible and helpful when a groomsman from out of town forgot his vest and sent someone to get a rental that morning. -

The owner is amazing! We found the company at a bridal show they had an awesome deal with buy so many tux the grooms is free plus a spa day for the bride... well we had a young kid in the beginning who was amazing!! But then got a young girl that did the measurements for the party and was horrible I had 2 toddlers and she was putting them in sizes too big thank god the mother was there to tell her how to do her job then the mother ordered to rent the kids stuff and the order was never put in(a bunch of issues with kids orders) ... 2 groomsman tux came in the wrong size... the grandfather orders a suit and he is handicap with one leg and they cut the pant leg too short for his leg we tried to take it to a different company and couldn't fix the problem -

A. Terrible. Joke.
Our Wedding Tuxedo fitting for all six of us took four hours. Four. Hours. When the tuxedos arrived, three of them were ridiculously wrong (see Ring Bearers photo). After more fittings and corrections, my final tux was dropped off after hours the night before the wedding. It didn’t fit and it was too late to do anything. The jacket was far too small, sleeves embarrassingly short and pants didnt even touch the top of my shoes (and I made them as loose as possible to try to drop them down further). It was the worse vendor experience I have ever had. -

My husband was set on purchasing suits here for our wedding because his group of friends have always purchased their suits here. My husband was in 3 precious weddings where suits were purchased or rented from this place and there was ALWAYS a problem, but he insisted so we came here anyways.
We first met with Andrea (the owner’s wife) for our first consultation. We explained to her that we picked an odd color for the bridesmaids dresses and she ensured us that she would go to the warehouse and pick everything that would come close for our next appointment. We made our next appointment to come in and try on suits for that weekend.
When we came in for our second appointment, we met with Johnny one of the workers here at THT. I felt absolutely terrible for him because Andrea had promised us the world with colors and he had no idea and nothing was there for us to look at. My husband tried on a suit and we signed their contract and left.
I ended up having to pay over $400 for ties that would match from my bridal store because they didn’t have anything even close.
We had 6 groomsman, 1 ring bearer, my father and grandfather all purchasing suits (other than the ring bearer he was renting).
All of the groomsman, my ring bearer, father, grandfather and husband were sized in the store for their suit. We were told we could pick them up 21 days prior to our wedding date which was scheduled for 06/12.
When I called in May to let them know my wedding was postponed, they told me that according to my contract, I couldn’t pick up the suits until 21 days prior to my new wedding date. I understand that things were slowed down because of Covid, but I didnt think it was fair that we had to wait an additional 2 1/2 months to get the suits.
Fast forward to picking up the suits - my dad, grandfather and husband went to go pick up the suits and tried them on in the store. I had called a week ahead to schedule an appointment for pick up and to let them know we would be there. The Owner said it would be okay. When we arrived they couldn’t find any of the suits. They finally found my dad’s and pap’s after looking for a half hour and had them try it on. My husband’s suit was not there along with any of the groomsman so the Owner had to run to the warehouse. As he was going to the warehouse, my pap and dad tried on their suits and literally NOTHING fit. They blamed it on Covid and continued to make every excuse in the book. When the Owner finally got back after making us wait for easily over two hours, he came out and used the excuse “read every other suit place reviews - we all have the same problems.” I was livid. How is not having the groom’s suit or the groomsman after having an extra 2 months to pull them together my problem? They took responsibility for nothing and we ended up wasting an entire day here and had to come back again to pick up the suits since we had to switch sizes. They also took a suit from another wedding’s pile for our wedding so one of my groomsman never really got his actual suit with the proper measurements he got someone else’s.
Fast forward again to when we came back (again I’m talking two weeks before a wedding stress I didn’t need) we brought my ring bearer to be fitted. He is my nephew and is 8 years old - suits aren’t really his thing. They gave him a suit that went up to his elbows and the pants wouldn’t even zipper. Again, they blamed their measurements on Covid and we ended up spending I kid you not 6 hours at this location with my nephew trying to find a suit. Finally I had to leave so my sister came and they told her that we picked a slim fit suit and it’s not their fault it’s not fitting. NONE of my groomsman or husband or dad or grandfather got a slim fit suit. I think they didn’t have the right suit in house so they used that as an excuse.
Two days prior to the wedding we were allowed to pick up the rentals, we were missing half of the shoes. When I delivered my pap his shoes they gave him not only the wrong size, but 2 left shoes. Almost all of the shirts had stains on them which we didn’t realize until the morning of the guys getting ready and it was too late at that point to do anything.
The Owner and his wife will promise you THE WORLD, but do not buy it. They are out to make a dollar and that’s it. Then they send their poor employee Johnny out to deal with angry customers while they hide in the back. As a business owner, I would never allow my employee to have to cover up my mistakes.
Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for men’s attire for your wedding. This place may have a good deal, but it’s not worth the headache and stress dealing with them and their excuses. -

We went with this vendor as they had the color we wanted (brown) and seemed to have good reviews. It was the WORST experience we had during the entire wedding process. There were so many issues it was nauseating. If you go here, DO NOT ALLOW BEN TO TAKE YOUR ORDER. Overall, the owner worked hard to try and fix everything but the damage had been done. All of the groomsmen had clothing on at our wedding so I guess it was as good an outcome as it could have been. -

Unfortunate Decline
I've rented from this shop a few times over the years, and unfortunately, the quality and service have steadily declined. For a recent wedding, several of us experienced issues: some received incorrect vests, suspenders broke the day of, and the tuxedos themselves felt poorly tailored and cheap. Most of us went in for our final fittings only to find that adjustments still hadn't been made--we essentially had to have everything re-tailored on the spot. I really wanted this place to work out (I'm the one who recommended them to the groom), but it's clear that attention to detail and customer care have taken a back seat to mass production/greed. Hoping they turn things around, but I can't recommend them based on my recent experiences. -

Run away as fast as you can!
Don’t waste your money, but more importantly don’t waste your time. This place is slower than slow, and priority is not put on weddings, especially if your wedding is during “prom season.”
Every single groomsmen needed to try on multiple pairs of shoes because the initial sizes were all incorrect. 95% of the rental shirts were the incorrect size initially as well, on top of being clearly stained, when they were brought out from the back. -

Absolutely horrendous experience. This was the absolute worst part in planning our wedding. Top Hat truly lacks professionalism, dependability and accountability. Please save your self from the unnecessary added stress and go somewhere, ANYWHERE else. -

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO HERE...especially if during prom season. The service is horrendous. All 7 of the tuxes we rented needed to be redone the day before the wedding. Even the guys measured in shop were given pants that were five inches too long...not sure how that happens. Everyone that works there has no clue what's going on and they are rude. When we called to complain they responded as if they hear it everyday. Be prepared to wait hours to be serviced and have horrible quality tuxedos that (barely) after multiple fittings, fit your groomsmen. My colleague had the same experience. -

There are better options
Clothing is kept in service for too long. It is stained and even has tears. Customer service was no help. I would use someone else. -

horrible experience
As the owner, you should be OUTRAGED and EMBARRASED at how horrible your service was!!!!!!!!!
Below is a list of what i could remember that was wrong with the wedding party tuxes....
Let's start with the fact that everyone was measured in MAY and when we came to pick up we spent OVER FOUR HOURS at your shop.
The groom: His pants were a size 46, entirely too big, his shirt was too big. his suspenders didnt clamp, we had to TAPE them to get through the ceremony.
My son Paul: first pair of pants, 4 inches too short, it took 3 shirts to find something acceptable to fit him. his second pair of pants literally had a BM stain in them!!!!!!!!!! i was promised his pants that were being sent to the venue would fit, and they didnt. SKIN TIGHT SKINNY LEG pants that he couldnt move in, AND were too short. and he got no cuff links.
Paul, father of the bride, got shoes that were dry rotted, dirty and frayed bow tie, and again, NO cuff links.
Ian, grooms men, his pants were too big, his suspenders didnt clamp at all and had to be tied around his belt loop, no cuff links
Josh, groomsman, child size suspenders that were not even close to fitting, they were different than everyone elses, they were not adjustable. luckily someone had a belt he could wear.
the GRANDFATHER OF THE BRIDE WHO WALKED HER PART OF THE WAY HAD TO PURCHASE AN ENTIRE SUIT AT KOHLS WHICH HE SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR. HIS PANTS, SHIRT AND VEST DIDNT FIT, AND HIS SUSPENDERS WERE DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY.
like i said, this is only what i can remember being wrong...
i also called on saturday and left a message, and havent heard from anyone.
we want our money back...let me know what your plans are to fix this, or we will all be writing reviews and we will be warning everyone to not use your business. -

Awful awful do not go here
Awful, awful, awful. At first these people were super nice, helpful and knowledgeable. Me and my now husband went in there to set up an appointment to get fitted for suits for our wedding, we made an appointment to come back with the groomsmen and my MOH a month later in January, we were excited to be working with people who were nice and understood, that like many couples who are getting married, that were confused about the suit renting process. Fast forward to January, we get there with the groomsmen and my MOH, all excited, come to find out they had NO idea who we were, we were told that it was going to take an hour to get all the information for the colors and suits that we wanted and we "really should have made an appointment" well after a very confusing conversation with Andrea (who I might add is VERY condescending and RUDE), she admitted her mistake and all was well, I just brushed it off. Everyone gets fitted for suits and we made an appointment to come in the Thursday before the wedding to get those who rented their suits fitted and altered if need be, and those who bought suits (the groom, father of the bride, father of the groom, step dad of the groom and best man and my sister who was my MOH) could pick up their suits 3 weeks before the wedding and they would alter them if they needed it. Fine, we were sent on out marry way.
Well here is where it gets just awful, weeks before my wedding. Three weeks before the wedding comes, step dad of the groom goes to pick his suit up, and the pants are 4 SIZES TOO BIG. Andrea of course says "well, sorry nothing we can do... we don't alter suits" that is NOT what she told us. She was arguing with us about it and finally we just gave up it wasn't getting us anywhere. The father of the bride lives in Ohio and he was making a special trip out to PA to get his suit, he had an emergency that put him in the hospital and couldn't make it, I really needed him to try his suit on before the wedding just in case it needed altered so I was going to go pick it up for him and bring it to Ohio. Wrong, I had to FIGHT with Andrea to even get her to let me take my fathers suit, mind you, I am the bride and the suit was 100% paid for. She kept telling me "well we like to see it on them before they take it out just incase" so I brought up the fact that they don't alter suits so what's the point? And the fact that my father in laws suit pants were 4 sizes too big and they didn't do anything for him?? So she changes her tone and says "Well for $15 we can ship it to him" NO I WANT TO TAKE IT, so I had to play the hospital card, she wasn't happy but she ended up letting me take it, this was like a 15 minute argument.
Finally, wedding week, I am so happy to not to be dealing with these people ever again. The groomsmen, jr groomsmen, groom and my sister, my maid of honor, go and get their suits (if they rented), suspenders, tie, shirt and shoes. First off, my nephew (jr groomsmen) pants don't fit, they give him another and there is rip up the butt on those ones, so they had to rush order a pair for Friday for him, they tried giving them TAN VESTS to wear with a GREY SUIT, when we ordered suspenders anyways. The most important thing that MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL EVERY TIME I THINK ABOUT IT IS THEY WROTE ON MY SISTERS RECEIPT TAG UNDER REMARKS (female)? **picture included** I have NEVER EVER EVER felt more fury and disrespect in my entire life. It took everything in me to not go down there the next morning.
Day of the wedding DISASTERS. The jr groomsmen brand-new pants that they ordered in wont button, almost every single pair of suspenders were broken, some of the guys pocket square pocket wasn't cut open so they couldn't wear those, bow ties were fraying, the grooms pants were fraying and a hem on the pants came loose. What a NIGHTMARE. I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER recommend this place to ANYONE. I even told my photographer, wedding coordinator and DJ to never recommend this place to any of their clients. Pay the extra money and go to Mens Warehouse. So rude and disrespectful. -

Ruined our Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding Pictures
Horrible experience! Stay away! 4 out of 9 suits were messed up for our wedding party. Grooms suit was ordered not even close to the right size. they lied to us for 2 weeks before the wedding about a new suit coming in. We didn't have a suit for the groom until the night before our wedding. AT THE REHEARSAL DINNER!!! When the owner dropped the suit off at the rehearsal dinner it wasn't even the correct style or suit nor was it the right color!!!! It has been a month since the wedding and I am trying to get ahold of the owner for a refund but he will not return our calls, certified letters or emails!!!! Will be showing up at his shop with my attorney next!! THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!! -

Top Hat's service was extremely confusing. They had way too many "deals" which they explained way too quickly and never gave a handout which described them so we didn't know what we were getting. When I told them I was confused, they just brushed it off and said "this is the best deal". Nothing fit despite us giving accurate measurements. We explained that our guests would be coming out of town and not all would be able to come in to pick up their suit personally. They said they could be flexible but they weren't. Overall it was a terrible experience. -
