Josh and Joe were our wedding photographers. We had never gotten professional photographs done before and they both helped walk us through tips and tricks that made us more comfortable in front of the camera. Josh really made me look and feel beautiful as a bride. They captured all the sweet, loving, fun and silly moments of our wedding day as well as the most gorgeous detail shots while still allowing us to stay present in the moment. We really appreciate the story-telling type of photography that Tom Studios explores. Tom was also responsive to any emails, and got us back a sneak peek of our wedding within days. Josh & Joe’s work is really impressive & they were both a pleasure to be around. If you're considering working with Tom Studios, it’s definitely worth the investment. I can't say enough amazing things. -

Tom and Lexi from Tom Studios are an absolutely perfect wedding photography duo. From the start of the process they have been so easy to talk to with fast detailed responses both friendly and professional. On the wedding day, given we are a couple that does not thrive taking pictures, they made us so comfortable and confident the whole day. They gave us examples on poses and were a seamless duo throughout the whole day. They were present but not directly in our faces which made us feel comfortable being ourselves and interact with our families/friends. During the family photos, Lexi organized groupings while Tom took the photos making the process painless and fast! They were so friendly and I could not recommend them enough. Plus, the sneak pictures were absolutely stunning and we can’t wait to see the rest!! -

Tom and Lexi are exceptional. My husband and I are people who like to “live in the moment”. We wanted to make sure that our wedding photographers were able to capture all the moments while we enjoyed our wedding day while having someone to guide us along the way (we feel that neither of us are photogenic!
From our first call with Tom and Lexi, we knew they were something special. During our engagement session, they made us feel completely at ease. We were amazed at how fun the session was! Leading up to our wedding day, they were organized and made the process extremely efficient. Being a Type A Bride, they were never bothered by any of my many questions! We had complete faith that they would capture our day just as beautiful as they did with our engagement photos. On our wedding day, it felt that Tom and Lexi were part of the family. They made everyone feel comfortable and had us laughing and smiling big throughout the entire day. Now looking at our wedding album, we are taken right back to our wedding day. It is incredible to be able to remember just how we were feeling in those moments and to see photos that are so authentically and artistically captured.
Tom and Lexi bring an entirely unique dynamic to wedding photography. It is so fun to watch them work as a couple and play off each other’s strengths to capture the most amazing pictures and bring the most perfect portfolio. Their work is nothing short of magical. Thank you, Tom and Lexi, for making our day so special and something that we can re-live forever! We cannot recommend Tom and Lexi enough to capture your wedding day. -

Tom and Lexi, the owners of Tom Studios Wedding Photography, were very responsive throughout the entire process. They captured our day perfectly, showcasing their incredible talent. From start to finish, they made us feel comfortable, ensuring that everything was done ahead of schedule. While they captured every moment, they never seemed to be in the way. They sent us a teaser of photos the next morning, which was followed by a slideshow within a couple of weeks! The gallery of photos Tom and Lexi created for us (which was given very timely, and provided access to all of the photos) is incredible, we love them all and love reliving our day. We could not be happier with the album we received, which was part of the package that we ordered. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with our wedding photographers. -

Tom and Lexi are just the best! First, we had a fantastic engagement photo session at Ithaca Falls and Cornell Botanical Gardens in October – they really put us at ease in front of the camera and we had a ton of fun, and received amazing shots that we used for our Save-the-Dates. Fast forward to our summer (August) wedding day at The Treman Center – Tom & Lexi efficiently arranged our first look (Lexi even arranged an impromptu “pre-first look” with the bridal party, prior to bride/groom first look, which was adorable!). We took all the shots we wanted to take and then some, both our pre- and post-ceremony photos (which were a blast) were captured super quickly/efficiently (but it didn’t feel like we were rushing) – so we had ample time to enjoy hanging out with our guests during cocktail hour. Lexi and Tom suggested an amazing night time silhouette shot that looks spectacular (in lieu of our sunset photo idea which didn’t happen due to rain/clouds). We received our sneak peak of both the engagement session and wedding day within 48 hours, which really held us over as we eagerly awaited seeing the full galleries. From our wedding, Tom & Lexi put together a beautiful slideshow of selected shots set to the sweetest soundtrack, which was a ton of fun to watch and relive the day until the final full portfolio was ready. The final online gallery was sorted into specific albums for different parts of the day which made it really easy to browse, and is easily shareable. One guest (the bride's brother) commented, “These are honestly the best wedding photos I've seen” and so many other guests commented on how gorgeous all the photos are; we can’t wait to share prints with our family and wedding party. We are seriously amazed. Tom & Lexi truly captured the love and happiness felt during our special day -- we keep looking at them and thinking, how did you capture everyone so perfectly, allowing their personalities shine through? How were you both in 1350831 different places at once and yet totally able to blend into the background? How do you guys keep raising the bar with each additional peek at our photos?? We are so grateful we chose you as our photographers!!! Thank you Tom & Lexi! -

Tom & Lexi are wonderful photographers to work with. They make an amazing team. At first we were nervous to take our engagement pictures, but shortly into the session Tom & Lexi made us feel at ease. They are friendly, comforting, creative, and very patient. Especially when it came to our energetic chocolate lab. We had so much fun taking our engagement pictures, we knew we had nothing to worry about when it came time for our wedding day. Both our engagement and wedding pictures are breathtaking. Tom and Lexi were an absolutely phenomenal team to work with and we are SO thrilled we went with them for our wedding photography! From day 1 when we were first in communication, they patiently answered all of our questions about how they work and their style. We even got to have a phone call with them where we got to know each other on a more personal level and feel out if our preferences and personalities would jibe well (a step that I totally respect and appreciate!) Tom and Lexi kindly traveled to Ithaca for our engagement photo shoot and even had to adjust to a surprise last-minute location change when the gorge trail we were planning to use was closed (and they ended up taking completely stunning photos in an all-new location they weren’t able to scope out prior!) They make it fun with cute/silly prompts to put you at ease (often demo-ing them themselves, it helps that they’re a couple!) and we genuinely enjoyed the process of our engagement shoot.
Tom & Lexi also gave us really helpful guidance about our wedding day timeline and provided a detailed questionnaire that covered all kinds of info it would never have occurred to me to give some thought to ahead of time, which ended up being really helpful.
On our wedding day, Tom and Lexi were completely professional and provided a super calm-yet-totally-on-the-ball energy while taking all our portraits and group shots. Our photography was definitely the most important vendor to us other than the venue, and we could tell Tom and Lexi totally understand that sentiment. Just like with our engagement shoot, they gave us great direction and kept the atmosphere super light and positive which allowed us to completely soak up the feelings of love through different moments of the day. They also accommodated all specific shot requests we had for certain locations, and also took special care to keep us in the shade for most of our portrait session because it was a super hot/sunny day.
Tom and Lexi are totally in sync and have a super efficient tag team approach – e.g. capturing the same moment like our first look from both a close up perspective and more distinct landscape, or Lexi hanging with the bridal party taking all the detail and fun “getting ready” shots while Tom took lovely photos of the venue getting all set up before the guests arrived, as well as the groom & groomsmen). They provided an enormous gallery of high-quality photos, so many of which I remember the moments but don’t remember a camera being pointed at me which, to me, is ideal – they’re delightfully sneaky! Tom even went out of his way to “create” a shot I wanted to be zoomed out wider by cobbling two different photos together and it came out beautifully. Our wedding album is absolutely gorgeous and something we’ll treasure looking back on for so many decades to come.
Above all, Tom and Lexi are two delightful, easy-going, and wildly talented individuals who together are greater than the sum of their parts, and we feel so incredibly lucky we were able to snag them for our wedding. If you’re thinking about hiring them, don’t wait – do it right now! -

Tom and Lexi were wonderful to work with. They were flexible and responsive to our wants and needs throughout the planning process. Getting to have them around on the wedding day was so much fun. They helped us prepare for the family portrait session and when the time came, everything ran smoothly. We even finished all the portraits with time to spare. They gave us ample time to take additional bride and groom couple portraits after the ceremony, which was really special since we had our ceremony at home. They are fun to be around and it felt like we were working with kindred spirits. Not to mention that the photos are absolutely gorgeous. My bridesmaids and I came out looking like goddesses! There are some really lovely candid shots and dance floor photos. I cannot say enough good things about Tom and Lexi. -

With full confidence I can say that Tom & Lexi were one of our most favorite parts of our wedding experience!!! From our first Zoom call to our engagement pictures and getting to know us on a personal level, it truly felt like friends taking our pictures on our wedding day. Lexi made me feel so incredibly beautiful and never uncomfortable. She was like my own personal hype squad!!! Tom made my husband feel comfortable, relaxed and at ease (all of which my husband never feels around a camera).
In total honesty, my husband and I were trying to cut costs wherever possible for our wedding. If you're in the same boat, let this be your sign to NOT let it be your photographers! Tom & Lexi were worth every single penny AND MORE and we'd choose them over and over and over again. -

Choosing Tom and Lexi as our wedding day photographers was hands down one of the best choices we made throughout the planning process. Months after our wedding, we continue to receive compliments from our guests about how wonderful the photos turned out and how great Tom and Lexi were to be around! They caught all of the very best moments of the day/night. From the moment we reached out, they were extremely responsive, patient with any/all questions, transparent with all things related to COVID (important to us as a couple that had to postpone due to the pandemic), and always cheery. Taking pictures can be a bit awkward, but we always felt comfortable with them and they got all of the shots that were important to us and so much more! The best of the best!
We were so happy with our decision to go work with Tom & Lexi for our wedding day photos!!! Best of the best!
Tom and Lexi are THE photographers you want on your big day! Last year was a horrible time to plan a wedding and they made their portion of it seamless. We ended up having a small intimate backyard ceremony and Tom and Lexi were more than happy to help capture our day. They are both so kind and understanding. We even had some rain while taking pictures and they didn't even bat an eye!
I can't recommend these two enough. There's no better people to work with, and the pictures they capture are absolutely amazing. Don't think twice about having them as your photographer! -

Our wedding was in October 2020 and Tom and Lexi did such a wonderful job. Especially with our ever changing covid safety plan for our guests. They went above and beyond. Where to start with Tom and Lexi? Talented, professional, fun, calming, did I mention talented? Being able to look back on them even a few weeks after the wedding has been such a gift. Tom and Lexi and Genuinely the Best!
Before booking Tom and Lexi, we had been in almost ten weddings collectively and have been around a lot of wedding photographers. We had an idea of what we wanted and what didn't work well from previous experiences. Tom and Lexi were so friendly from the moment we met them and bonded pretty quickly with our mutual love of The Office and Pugs.
They were so helpful with nailing down our wedding day timeline and we honestly couldn't have done it without them. They worked with us to capture our photo vision, even accommodating a last minute chance in the first look location. Family photos were a breeze with their direction and we had no issues getting all of the (what felt like 100s) combinations of photos before the ceremony began.
The biggest thing with a wedding photographer is finding someone you're comfortable with, someone who can capture you and your spouse. Tom and Lexi did just that, they were really able to capture both mine and my spouse's personalities perfectly. Looking back through our wedding photos makes us so happy because you can feel exactly how we felt through each moment of the day. They captured our laugher, our tears, and our weird dance moves. None of the photos felt forced and uncomfortable, my husband typically hates taking photos and usually develops this fake smile halfway throughout the process. This never happened throughout our engagement photos and our wedding photos and we have Tom and Lexi to thank for that. Immediately after the reception ended, my husband stated that the best decision we made during the wedding planning process was to hire Tom and Lexi as our photographers. On top of being our photographers, Tom helped my husband with his boutonnière, Lexi redid my hair when it started to fall out and my vail got stuck in it, she bustled my dress multiple times, and helped pick leaves from the lace in my dress. They went above and beyond, gave 110%, and delivered the most beautiful gallery of wedding photos.
I cannot honestly recommend them enough and could probably write another book about the complements we received about them from our wedding guests. -

WHERE DO I BEGIN!? I keep telling Tom and Lexi that they’re magical unicorn superheroes or something. I’m still not entirely convinced that they’re not.
After interviewing a good number of photographers, I had actually stumbled across Tom & Lexi when I was looking at my venue’s Instagram page (SKY Armory). After checking out their blog and IG page, I reached out and was so happy I did. From the moment we had a call with them (we live out of town and couldn’t come back to Syracuse to meet in person), we knew we had found the perfect people for our big day.
Our package included an engagement session, which we thought would be good to get comfortable in front of the camera since my husband HATES pictures. So much so that he had even made a comment that he was “dreading” that part of the wedding. However, they managed to change his opinion very quickly!! They made us feel so comfortable and natural for both the engagement shoot and wedding.
We took our engagement photos in the Fall at Chittenango Falls and they were very accommodating in picking a day being that we had to travel. It was such a fun day and we got a little adventurous climbing on the rocks to get the best shots by the falls. They got our pictures back to us so quickly and we used Tom and Lexi to for our Save the Dates. High quality, and again, quick turnaround time.
Come time for the wedding, I could not wait to see them again and knew we’d be in good hands. Everything went so smoothly and they got every picture that we had wanted, and also know the ones to take without even asking or thinking we needed them! One of the groomsman who had gotten married a month before even commented saying how organized and smoothly the family/bridal party photos went. A day after the wedding, we had a sneak peak photo, and shortly after that, a slideshow of some of their favorites. It was an incredible surprise! Turnaround time for the full album was yet again super quick. They also designed our wedding album for us, and their portal made it very easy for making comments/edits.
We cannot thank Tom and Lexi enough for capturing these moments that will last a lifetime. They truly care about making everything as special as they can for you and it is so obvious that they absolutely love what they do! I look at our album to relive our wedding probably about once a week still, so to say I’m obsessed is an understatement. I cannot wait to share the picture from our wedding with future generations. -

Tom and Lexi are truly the best of the best! We were lucky enough to work with them on our engagement shoot (which was a blast!!) and then again for our wedding in July 2019 and we just cannot get over how wonderful they are!! They just have this way about them that made us feel so comfortable and at ease. And that is so very important when it comes to your photographer on your wedding day, as they will be with you the entire day! I had the pleasure of sharing most of the afternoon with Lexi and my husband got to spend time with Tom prior to the ceremony, which was really just so special! The getting ready photos were beautiful and just so fun to look back on! We still can’t seem to get over to beauty of the photos they captured. They are better than I could have ever dreamed of. And the reception/candid shots are just hysterical!! They truly have such a gift and care so very much for their couples. We could not imagine our day without these two wonderful people! September 2018 Wedding
Tom & Lexi did our wedding back in September and we couldn't have been happier with them! They were such a joy to work with throughout the wedding planning process and especially on the wedding day. They went above and beyond to capture every moment and little detail. They were always right there but were also very discrete and I never felt like they were in the way. They made me feel calm and at ease throughout the day when we were running a little behind schedule. When we received our photos after the wedding (super quick!) I felt like I was reliving the entire day. Being a wedding photographer myself, my standards might have been a little higher than most brides, but they exceeded them all! Tom & Lexi are amazing at what they do, even more amazing as people. They added joy to our special day, made it memorable. The pictures tell a thousand words, their pictures tell a story that was more complete than a recorded video. Every little moments were captured. I'm still blown away by how amazing and ninja-like they are in getting us our gallery so quickly and capturing incredible shots. One of the things I loved about their portfolio of work was not only composition and style but their ability to capture candids and moments. I absolutely love the ones they took of our day. Looking over them, it's as if I get to relive the day from so many different points of views. Over the past year, we probably have taken more pictures together than in our entire lives (thanks to multiple engagement shoots). These guys were incredibly professional, but made us feel comfortable the entire time. We are so glad we did the engagement session with them too! Not only did it give us a chance to get to know them, but now we have photos to cherish for years. We cannot possibly say enough about Tom Studios Wedding Photography. Molly Sent on 12/02/2017I can't say enough positive things about hiring Tom and Lexi as your wedding photographers. My husband and I live in Connecticut but wanted to get married where we met, at our alma mater Syracuse University. We work in media and knew we were going to be very picky about selecting photographers - it was the most important thing to us out of all the wedding details. We searched for photographers in the area and met with a few of them, but once we saw Tom and Lexi's blog, we knew we had found what we were looking for.
We booked their full package which included engagement photos, save the dates, full wedding day coverage, and more. Tom and Lexi were troopers during our engagement session - the snow was coming down hard, the wind was crazy, and we insisted on having our dog in some of the photos. They stuck with us and took the most amazing photos! The turn around time for receiving our engagement photos and our save the dates was incredibly fast, without sacrificing any quality.
On the wedding day, Tom and Lexi had to deal with another cold, windy Syracuse experience. Throughout the day they took charge when they needed to, handling our large bridal party and extended family with ease. They made sure to get all the group shots we asked for. However, in those special, candid moments you would hardly realize they were there. My husband and I can be a little awkward in front of the camera, but Tom and Lexi made us feel totally comfortable.
One more awesome thing Tom and Lexi do is create a "day-of" slide show. I have no clue how they had time to do this, but they did and set it up at our reception. It was so great to be able to see those sneak peaks and share that experience with our guests.
