Incredible

Tom is incredible. We were looking for someone who could provide both live music and DJ’ing, and he knocked it out of the park. Our guests loved him, especially his sax playing and jazz flute. On the organizational side, he was incredibly professional, accommodated all of our requests (musical and otherwise), and kept the night running smoothly. He is an excellent communicator, highly available by both phone and email, and seeing how detailed-oriented he was relieved a lot of stress for us In the weeks leading up to the wedding. He has our highest recommendation.

Tom is Exceptional.

Tom was phenomenal. We had read the amazing reviews about Tom beforehand and knew he was going to be good, but working with him completely exceeded our expectations. Music was always going to be an important part of our day, and Tom delivered beyond what we imagined. He played beautiful live music for our ceremony that fit the setting perfectly, then transitioned seamlessly to instruments and strolling saxophone during cocktails and dinner. Everyone loved it! Later, he had the dance floor packed all night as our DJ.

He’s incredibly talented, versatile and wonderful to work with. Tom is a true professional. He listened to what we wanted, offered ideas based on his experience, and made us feel at ease. Our guests are still raving! It was the best blend of live and DJ’d music...perfect for all ages! We thought he’d be great, but he was even better - truly one of the highlights of our wedding!

Awesome!! TOTALLY recommend!

Book him now!! Your wedding starts and ends with this man--literally and figuratively. Not only does Tom bring the party, but he will play as you walk down the aisle and keeps the party going until you shut the place down.
We booked Tom for our wedding last September and it was one of the best decisions we made for that day.
Tom was very professional. If you are planning a wedding, let me tell you that the chaos and stress only increase as you get closer to the wedding. When we booked him, we assumed the box was checked and moved on. We completely forgot to provide a song list, etc..:
Tom would gently remind us to send updates. He took care of everything based on the limited information we gave him. It was perfect.
Tom is a phenomenal DJ, who can read the room and get people (some of whom I’ve never seen dance before) get up and dance. He is also a VERY talented musician. In addition to the lovely instrumental he played as I walked down the aisle, he wowed my guests with his Dave Brubeck saxophone playing, going from table to table, during dinner.
If you want a magical and memorable wedding, where you feel like a princess, book Tom. You will not be disappointed!

Wow. Seriously, wow.

I don’t even think I can put into words how great Tom was at our wedding! If you’re looking for a DJ, look no further. You’ve found him. He brought several instruments and our guests (and us!) were on the dance floor all night. Tom made announcements and took music requests like a champ. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I absolutely would.

Tom was the absolute best!

Seriously, DO NOT MISS OUT ON TOM!!!!!!!!!!! We just got married on August 8th, 2024. He truly MADE our wedding. He is extremely talented, very professional, kind, organized and just all around an amazing guy and AMAZING at what he does. We had so much fun with Tom throughout the planning process & the wedding! During the planning process, he was extremely responsive throughout and always answered any of our questions very quickly! Tom played guitar & sang during our ceremony (his voice gives me GOOSEBUMPS, seriously!), he did our uplighting for the reception (which we also loved!!) and he MC'd and DJ'd (and even sang more!) the entire night away - without mispronouncing one name too (some of the last names of those in our bridal party are tough!)! We sent Tom a long list of songs we liked for the playlist at our wedding and he took it and came up with a setlist that had all of our guests on the dance floor the ENTIRE night. Our guests are STILL raving about him, how great he was and how much fun they had out on the dance floor. You can tell he is the absolute BEST in the business and I am still mind-blown at the amazing deal you get by booking this truly one-man-band. Tom did not stop entertaining the guests from start to finish, whether it was ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, reception - he was non-stop! Everything about Tom was truly perfect on our wedding day! There are so many DJs out there, but there is only one Tom!!!!! Don't miss out on booking him! He won't let you down!!

Tom is the best!

Tom was very easy to work with and to communicate with, he really took the time to get to know us and our wedding style. He played the guitar for our ceremony processional which set the ambience for the guests, he played a song for me as I walked down the aisle as requested. He played a variety of instruments and songs throughout the reception, and really kept the party going late night, reading the room and catering to the crowd!! He helped support the flow and timeline of our wedding by making announcements when appropriate. He really did a fantastic job!

You Can't Go Wrong Hiring Tom!

We hired Tom for a 35th anniversary party at a wedding venue in Nahant, MA. I can't say enough good things about Tom! From the first Zoom meeting to the end of our party, he was personable and professional. Moreover, he is truly one of the most gifted musicians I have ever met; he plays multiple instruments, sings, and records his own background music plus he DJs! We gave him a list of our favorite songs which he wove beautifully throughout our event. EVERYONE at the party commented how wonderful he is. You can't go wrong hiring Tom!

Do NOT miss out on Tom!!

Our wedding was an absolutely perfect day for multiple reasons, one of them being Tom!

Even before we had booked Tom for our wedding day, my wife and I were blown away by how responsive he was to our outreach. This continued to be a common thread throughout the time leading up to our wedding. Any question or concern we had for Tom was always responded to that day in great detail. Of all our vendors for our 2023 wedding, Tom was by far the most kind, accessible, and easy to work with!

On top of being a great person, Tom was an unbelievable performer from cocktail hour, to dinner, to our final song of the evening. Many friends, family members, and coworkers approached us to tell us how much they loved the fantastic vibe Tom created from the minute he took the stage. Tom’s varied skillset made for three incredibly unique yet equally enjoyable music experiences throughout our wedding night. During cocktail hour Tom’s serenated our guests with his flute, guitar, and incredible voice. At dinnertime, Tom walked room to room playing sublime jazz on his sax with a huge smile on his face. Lastly, Tom’s ability to seamlessly transition back and forth between DJ tracks to live guitar and singing was the absolute highlight of our wedding. Our dance floor was packed the entire evening for a reason, and that was Tom. His song sequencing, vibey backlighting, and outstanding voice, and guitar & sax playing created the most lively and fun dancefloor for two and a half straight hours!

On top of everything already mentioned, Tom went the extra mile to help personalize our wedding to us and truly make it the best day of our lives. He created a backing track and learned the guitar chords for our first dance of Wonderwall and sang this song so beautifully that all our wedding guests joined in song with him. This was one of fifty different special moments that Tom’s unbelievable talent blessed us with on our wedding day. We can’t believe we had the chance to work with Tom and have him share all of his incredible musical gifts with our wedding guests! Could not recommend Tom anymore!

The absolute BEST

Tom was simply unbelievable. He was the most professional, patient and accommodating vendor that we had for our whole wedding. DJs can make or break any wedding and not only was dancing a huge priority to me and my husband but a whole half of my family is Hispanic- the stakes for a good dance floor were very high. It also threw in the twist of wanting to mix in Spanish songs throughout the night in a way that accommodated my family but also kept all the guests on the dancefloor and Tom did this perfectly. I gave him a list of Spanish songs, mostly ones from Colombian artists from my moms childhood- he already had most of them and made sure to get the ones that he didn’t. We are still getting compliments on him from our September wedding, my one friend passionately prefers bands for weddings and she told us he was the only DJ she’s ever loved at a wedding- he was that much of a stand out.

I planned a very detail oriented wedding and Tom rolled with every punch with grit and grace. I had many different moments planned throughout the reception- a song dedicated to our college friends with Pittsburgh terrible towels pulled out from behind Toms booth and handed out, an announcement for my husband and I’s “guilty pleasure” song of the night, Tom also learned our first dance song Wonderwall, recorded a back track to it and played the guitar and sang it live and then got all our guests to join in singing the final verse. Hours and hours and hours of extra work that he didn’t even charge us extra for. The pinnacle of all of this is that at one point in time I had the crazy idea to play the saxophone to a song during the reception, I used to play but haven’t picked one up in a while and when I did my sax was broken so it never worked out but when I told Tom this idea he was so enthusiastic and on board he even offered to let me use his sax if I brought my own mouthpiece and then MINUTES after we hung up the phone he sent me the sheet music written out to the song I had wanted to play. I was blown away.

Tom was so stand out professional and easy to work with that even our wedding venue noticed and the owner told us they wanted to put him on their recommended vendor list because of how professional he was to work with and how incredible his service was.

Seriously do not hesitate to book Tom, you will not regret it!

Not just a DJ, an amazingly talented entertainer.

My wife and I can confidently say that Tom Bruhl is not your average wedding DJ. He is a true musical maestro who took our celebration to a whole new level. From start to finish, Tom's talent, versatility, and his ability to engage the crowd left everyone in awe.

One of the most impressive aspects of Tom's performance was his live instrument skills. Who would have thought you'd hear Jethro Tull being played on a flute at a wedding? Our ceremony music was done on acoustic guitar, live. He switched to sax for cocktail hour. His ability to seamlessly transition between DJ-ing and playing live instruments added a unique and unforgettable touch to the entire event. The way he effortlessly moved from modern hits to classic tunes was like watching a musical chameleon in action.

But Tom is not just a talented musician; he's a true entertainer. His energy was infectious, and he had an uncanny knack for reading the crowd. He knew exactly when to crank up the tempo to get everyone on the dance floor and when to slow things down for sentimental moments. Incredibly talented!

-The guests could not stop raving about Tom's talent. My cousins are convinced he is a time traveler because how else could one person gain so many musical skills across a variety of instruments (singing, guitar, flute, saxophone)?!
-Tom walked around the room during dinner playing sax next to guest tables which was a huge hit!
-Tom expertly blended the transitions from one song to the next during our wedding processionals.
-Tom kept a huge crowd on the dance floor all night long, playing hits for the whole range of age groups we had there!

The best combination of live music and DJ you will find

We hired Tom for our wedding and we couldn't be happier! It felt like having a live band as well as a DJ for the price of one, and he was amazing at both! During our cocktail hour he sang and played flute, saxophone, and guitar. A couple guests were even dancing during the cocktail hour. He really had an ability to read the crowd and he had the dance floor full the entire night! We had a lot of guests make comments about how great he was.

Amazing DJ and musician!

5 stars isn’t enough for Tom! He was AMAZING. Good music at my wedding was definitely a priority for my husband and I, and Tom did not disappoint. 2/25/23 Wedding

We had the pleasure of having Tom provide the music for our wedding day and he did not disappoint. Tom went above and beyond to make our day so special. From the beginning Tom was professional and made the whole experience so personal. My husband and I were able to send our requests for ceremony as well as a few must plays but other than that we want Tom to have the freedom to do what he does best. He is truly a one-man band, playing instruments throughout our night, as well as DJing. Our guests could not stop raving about how incredible he was throughout the night into the weeks after. We are so happy with how our whole day turned out and we have Tom to thank for that!

Amazing Entertainer

Tom was an amazing wedding Entertainer and DJ! From live music and singing to DJing he really did it all at the reception! Great DJ for wedding

An amazing night with such talent

Tom performed at my wedding reception on 09/17/22. The talent that this man has is unbelievable. When my guests were eating he went to each table and played his saxophone and sang to the guests. Everyone went up and danced as soon as he started playing. His presence was so inviting. You felt like he was part of the family. Throughout the wedding planning process, we were in contact via email and cellular. He answered all of my questions and reassured a nervous bride to be that this was going to be an amazing night. He was so right!! My appreciation for this Profesional man continues to grow and felt so privileged that he was such an amazing part of my wedding day.

Absolutely incredible!

We attended a wedding where Tom performed and DJ’d and instantly knew that we wanted him for our wedding too! He is a true professional, so talented, and was one of our favorite parts of our wedding! Tom played beautiful acoustic guitar music prior to our ceremony while guests were being seated which really set the vibe. He also performed on saxophone, acoustic guitar, and flute during cocktail hour and dinner which our guests LOVED! He is an expert at keeping the night moving along while ensuring there is no dead air, without being an obnoxious MC. After dinner, he kept the dance floor crowded all night and our friends had the best time. We’ve had many of our guests commend him and ask about him for future events. A+ all around

A+ all around. Tom had people crying during the ceremony with his guitar and dancing all night with his combination of great music selection and live singing and instruments along with the music. Throw in some saxophone and jazz flute during cocktail hour and dinner and he was a highlight of the wedding for everybody.

He was also extremely easy to work with and flexible when our wedding venue changed a few months before. Would highly recommend all around.

A real showman / amazing talent

There are not enough words to express how talented Tom is. He did an incredible job at my wedding! Everyone was so impressed with his skills to DJ and play a variety of live instruments. He seamlessly transitioned from his guitar, to the sax, to the flute. He was an amazing showman (even singing!!!) and entertained the guests all night. On top of that Tom was able to successfully play a list of traditional music from my country and seamlessly transitioned from one to the other. My guests were beaming and dancing all night. Outstanding musician/DJ bring unique and awesome dance floor experience

Tom Bruhl is the best musician/DJ combo that brought a unique and amazing talent to our wedding day. His instrument skills included acoustic guitar/flute during the ceremony, saxophone during the cocktail hour, and electric guitar plus his amazing voice during the reception. After dinner, his DJ skills shone, playing all the faves! The dance floor was full all night! When he plays an instrument and sings, he is actually using a pre-recorded backtrack of his own other instruments and makes the song sound exactly like the record! He learned a particular song for us that he had never played and pre-recorded the back tracks in order to play that during the ceremony. When we were deciding whether to use Tom, he invited us to see his performance at a local bar, so we got to witness his talents prior to making our decision. Best decision we ever made. We decided that our investment in Tom was the best, since for us, a great dance floor is the sign of a great wedding, and Tom brought all the great music and feelings to the crowd! Hiring Tom will be the best decision YOU will ever make! He's the BEST!

Flawless, tons of fun!

Tom was the perfect fit for us. Multi-talented, fun and professional, he helped everything go smoothly. Tom was friendly and prompt and enthusiastic throughout our whole planning process; with covid postponements, that was 2.5 years! He provided uplighting, emcee'd the night, and of course provided musical accompaniment for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dance party! Everyone, all ages, had a blast on the dance floor. As a couple having just planned a wedding, the best compliment I can give to a vendor is that you don't even need to think about them -- they've got it handled. No regrets.

Tom is the best! He knows how to read a room and keep everybody dancing all night long. Not only is he an amazing DJ, he sings and plays instruments throughout the cocktail hour and reception. Absolutely Amazing!!!

I had Tom for my wedding 6/6/21 and from the time we first met to the night of he was extremely gracious and allowed me to have what I wanted. My father is a cornet player and Tom was kind enough to let my father play a piece with him, which was so special to me, and i'll remember that for a lifetime! During the night we had multiple guests come up asking where we got our musician/DJ from because they loved his music so much. He is a man of many talents: he sang, played flute, and guitar prior to the ceremony. He played saxophone during the cocktail hour, and much more during the reception! We loved Tom so much, and I would highly recommend him for any time of event!!!!! :)

Best wedding DJ!

Tom was the DJ for our wedding in May 2021, and he was absolutely fantastic to work with. We got the chance to visit his studio earlier in the year, and it was clear how passionate Tom is about performing with his own instruments as well ag s being a DJ! Tom did an amazing job at our wedding, playing the sax and walking around during cocktail hour and then also DJ-ing all the best tunes during the reception. So many of our guests are still raving about him to us! Absolutely recommend!!!

More than just a DJ

Tom was absolutely perfect. We gave him virtually no song requests and he read our crowd perfectly. Not only did he DJ well, the man can sing and play as well.

Tom played beautiful instrumental covers for the bride to walk down too that hit everyone right in the feels.

He’s clearly been doing this a long because just before we had our first kiss, the photographers memory card filled up and we had to pause. Instead of awkward silence, unprompted Tom started to play his guitar and helped make it seem less awkward.

Do your self a favor and book this guy. There’s are a 1000 DJs who just hit shuffle on Spotify, but if that’s what you want why not just rent speakers? Tom will read the room and make sure everyone is enjoying themselves.

Made our night!!

Before my husband and I found Tom we thought of asking a friend to play music off of a spotify playlist since we were having only 50 people for our wedding during COVID. We knew that we had very different music taste but creating a playlist that wasn't all over the place was seeming impossible for us. We needed help and that's when we found Tom. He was super flexible when we had to move venues and I loved his detailed emails that explained everything. On the day of the wedding we had to change our cocktail hour location due to rain and he did it with no problem at all. Everyone loved the live music during cocktail hour, it provided such a cool vibe to start the night. He played all of my husbands and I's favorite songs at the right moments. He checked in with us first if someone wanted to say a speech or wanted to request a song to make sure we were ok with it. Tom got people out on the dance floor and kept them there! He was even accommodating when I wanted to get dancing even before the cake was cut! He was so very professional to work with which I loved since I work in the theatre/events industry. I didn't have to worry about anything going wrong with him because he made me feel so confident in his abilities. (Again those detailed emails, swoon!) Honestly wish I could have my own events all the time so I could hire Tom over and over again!! My husband and I had such a fun and amazing wedding. 1000% hire Tom, one of the best decisions I made for my wedding.

Best DJ/musician ever!

The main reason we chose Tom was because he does both live music and DJ as well. We were so impressed with how talented he is and all of our guests kept asking about him because he was doing such an amazing job. He really is a one man band and does literally everything himself. The saxophone, guitar, flute, singing, all of it! He’s easy to work with and offers recommendations if you aren’t sure about what to do. He kept our guests entertained all night. Can’t say enough good things about our experience working with him for our wedding. You won’t regret hiring him but you will regret it if you don’t. Thank you Tom!

Mother of the Bride

Tom did a wonderful job at my daughter’s wedding on 2/15/20. He is a “jack of all trades, “ and very musically talented, being a wonderful instrumentalist, aside from a really good singer. He kept the dancing going and played a wonderful variety of songs. I missed things like the music at the time when people were arriving, because we were up in the bridal suite, but people told me he did a wonderful job. He has a fun personality, too! Everyone has been telling us how great he was. My daughter hired him without even seeing him or hearing him in person, just based on recommendations.and his website

Tom really made the night!

Tom did a fantastic job at our wedding. Everything appeared effortless for him. His combination of live performance and DJ was worth far more than the price we paid. We could not have been more pleased with his attention to detail and communication during both the planning stages and the actual wedding. Our guests could not stop talking about how good he was. Hire him. Period. Tom is THE BEST. Music was the most important thing for us for our wedding. I did a ton of research & found Tom. He was super professional, responsive and did a lot of front-end work on my playlist and first dance music. And the wedding music was superb. He’s a great singer, plays multiple instruments and knew just what music to play when to keep the vibe just right during dinner and dance floor packed. People kept coming up during the wedding to ask Who IS this guy? Best ever!!! Weeks later I’m still getting compliments. 10 stars.

Tom was a pleasure to work with for our wedding! We spent a lot of time finding the right dj and musician because we were very specific in the songs that we wanted to hear. From the very first email Tom was amazing! He was attentive, informative, and really listened to what we wanted. He preformed at our wedding this past weekend and was incredible! If you are looking for a DJ that gets everyone out of their seat (even the people you think never would) you need Tom Bruhl. Before the reception even started I had people coming up to me saying how talented Tom is. He played the acoustic guitar for the ceremony and it made a huge difference walking down the aisle to that. During cocktail hour he also played live music, as well as the reception. My aunt had him at her wedding and as soon as she gave me his website and we looked at it we were hooked. Choosing him is really what made our wedding perfect. Aside from him being an amazing DJ he was also so easy to get in contact with. I had so many questions leading up to the wedding and whenever I emailed him I got an instant response. Tom is one of a kind we were so lucky to have him on our special day!!

Tom does it all; provides live music at your wedding or event, has an amazing voice that you will be awed by when he is singing along to your tunes, and is a entertaining and talented DJ. Tom was the musician/DJ at my wedding 12 years ago, and this past weekend, he handled all the same responsibilities at my nieces wedding in Lincoln, NH. He has only improved.....
We are still getting compliments regarding the ceremony music, the manner in which he kept the reception going, and his DJ capabilities. Many people expressed that "he was the best they had ever heard."

Tom is the only choice for a wedding or function! He did our wedding six years ago and because of his amazing performance, engagement and amazing talent, SEVEN other couples who attended our wedding also hired him. I can speak from experience that weddings are not as fun without Tom. I cannot wait to see him at my friends wedding in October. :) Recently, Tom performed our sons adoption party. He was amazing! I got married on December 9, 2017. Tom Bruhl was our DJ and I couldn’t me more happy and grateful for everything he did for my husband and I. He exceeded my expectations in every way. Tom is very organized and was always available when I had a question or concern. He worked with both of us to customize our wedding night and also gave us some very helpful tips and suggestions. He made sure the night went smoothly. Tom is very talented. He sang, played instruments, and played music that we requested. Between cocktail hour and the reception he created this amazing atmosphere and was fantastic. People can’t stop talking about how wonderful he was. He made sure to have people up on the dance floor and try to accommodate wedding guest request along with songs we wanted to play as well. He definitely made our wedding night unforgettable!

Tom was absolutely amazing for our cocktail hour and reception! We first learned about Tom by attending my cousins wedding where he played the saxophone during the outdoor cocktail hour then kept us dancing all night long at the reception! When we reached out for our own wedding, not only was he helpful with questions, but he was very responsive and considering you literally get a one-man entertainment showcase in Tom, incredibly affordable! Tom is the absolute best choice one could ever make in choosing a DJ! His responsiveness, attention to detail and professionalism were clear as well as his love of music! His voice is just breath taking and his musical skills with various instruments is so awesome! Your guests will be so amazed at his versatility and will beg for more! We love Tom!!! From our very first meeting with him, I knew he would make our wedding amazing. I really wanted live music and my husband really wanted a DJ... Tom is the perfect combination of both!!! He played the guitar during our ceremony, saxophone during cocktail hour and the DJ'd for the reception! He was very attentive and really listened to what we wanted. I had some very specific music requests and he made all of them happen seamlessly! Tom was a fantastic DJ and performer for our wedding celebration. He was very accessible, flexible, and easy to work with leading up to the wedding and was a huge hit with all of our guests during the big day. In addition to providing DJ services, Tom played flute, saxophone, and guitar at various stages of our celebrations and kept the dance floor packed throughout the reception. Tom played hits that everyone could get up and dance to, but also tailored his playlist to include some obscure songs and artists that my wife and I particularly enjoy. Our family and friends were thoroughly impressed with Tom’s talents (as were we!), and we received numerous comments from guests of all ages and musical tastes on how Tom’s abilities and musicianship provided a perfect soundtrack to such a joyous occasion. After reading some great reviews, we decided to attend a public event where Tom was playing. After hearing him play and chatting with him during a break, it took us all of about 5 minutes to figure out that Tom was our guy. He is talented, professional, fun, and accommodating. He offered suggestions and opinions without being overbearing and still placing the utmost importance on our vision. After our final meeting prior to the wedding, we could not have been more confident that everything would run smoothly. I am happy to say that Tom far exceeded our expectations. The live music during cocktail hour added a whole new dimension to our reception. His playlist made everyone happy. I mean everyone. Our guests ranged in age from 6-86 and Tom had something for each of them. Not only did many of our guests comment on how much they enjoyed him, but even the other vendors commended his unique abilities. I joked with my husband that we should plan a Christmas party just so we can hire Tom again.

Tom was an entertainer like no other I have seen at a wedding or event. His combination of DJ and musician really wow'ed the guests at our wedding. Tom had ALL of our guests (friends & family of all ages) dancing for the ENTIRE reception. He had uncles who don't usually leave their seats at such events dancing until the final song! He played every song we identified as a "must have" and mixed in his own singing/instrumentals seamlessly. He is super talented and was extremely pleasant to work with. I recommend 100% without reservation.

Tom was fantastic! He provided DJ and live music for our wedding, as well as the sound equipment for our ceremony outside. The guests couldn't believe it when they turned and saw him performing live -- the transition between recorded and live songs was that seamless and he was that good. We had a big group of children at the wedding, and Tom got them dancing most of the night and had some games for them to play as well. He was also great at keeping the event on track, especially for our introductions, exit, and scheduled dances. I'd hire him again any time I need music!

My husband and I hired Tom Bruhl for our Wedding DJ/entertainment. We were so impressed by how awesome he was. I was really nervous about picking someone for entertainment because this can really make or break a Wedding if you don't have someone good. Tom was easy to work with, he was not only the DJ for our Wedding, but he also personally played music for our cocktail hour. We received so many compliments on him after our Wedding, my husband and I wished we were able to be part of the cocktail hour so we could have enjoyed his entertainment! Tom was a must for our wedding! Such a great value getting live music along with a dj. My guests still talk about how talented he was. Tom listened to us and also made some great suggestions. He sand and played guitar and sax for the wedding ceremony and the cocktail hour and then he was the Dj for the reception. Tom was amazing! We had Tom play for our ceremony, cocktail hour / dinner and reception. Tom was professional and very talented with everything he did for us. There were times at the reception when I thought he was just playing a song, but turn around to see him actually singing and playing the guitar. He's really that good! He also played acoustic guitar at our ceremony and sax / flute at our cocktail hour, which was perfect! And he's more than just a DJ; He helped keep us on schedule during the wedding and made the announcements when necessary. He also met with us twice before where we discussed the series of events and he really helped flesh out the details about how the order should go and what made sense. Not only did he help us with the music, but we also used his lighting system which was great! It was synced with the music quite well, and also doubled as accent lighting during our cocktail hour with our wedding colors. It was money well spent! So if you're looking for a professional yet fun musician to work with then Tom is your guy!

Tom made our night spectacular. I had always wanted a band for my wedding, but when I realized that the expense was going to make that very hard, if not impossible, I sought out a musician so that I could at least have acoustic music for my ceremony. I found Tom and learned he was a one stop shop who could do the ceremony of my dreams (with live music) and also DJ the reception and rest of the night and I was sold. However, I didn't even realize that he was going to be SO MUCH MORE amazing than I ever dreamed! The ceremony was perfect, he even learned a special song for us. The music quality was all perfect. Then, throughout the night, we realized he was singing and playing songs along with traditional DJ-ing throughout dinner and the reception. I was blown away. At one point I could have sworn we were listening to the original song, only to look over and realize he was singing. I was delighted. The live music element was extra special for me.
People were constantly coming up to me and asking where I found him and talking about how awesome he was. Everyone loved him. The music mix was also perfect--and he even got our somewhat reserved crowd out to the dance floor.
Additionally, he was very easy to work with throughout all of the planning and his rates are beyond reasonable, especially considering what you get. I wish I could have him play all my parties from now on (and maybe I will, ha). Hire him, you will not be disappointed.

Tom is the best! We received so many compliments about his performance in our reception. He did exactly what we asked to do but was also creative with playing his instruments and really making our reception unique! Our wedding was the 3rd wedding I have been to where Tom was the DJ (2 of our groomsmen had used him prior which is where we got his information). He completely out met any expectations we could of had for a DJ! He had our crowd up and on their feet the entire night which was amazing to watch! Not only is he an amazing DJ and knows how to keep a party going he is an amazing instrumental player and singer! He not only DJ our reception but played music (guitar and saxophone) during our ceremony as well as played music and sang during our cocktail hour! Tom played at my wedding 8.17.13 in Plymouth, MA. He did the wedding music for both the ceremony and reception. He was unbelievable and his musical choices made our wedding truly special. He is such a talented performer, we had our guests commenting on how wonderful he was weeks after our wedding. You get the best of both worlds with Tom he is a phenomenal musician (live band) as well as a DJ. That way towards the end of the night people can hear the songs that they "must" hear at a wedding. Tom Bruhl is simply amazing! I can't say enough about him as a talented musician and how he made our reception special. Our guests could not stop talking about him and his talent. Tom played everything we asked and mixed up his DJ music with his live music throughout the night. He is energetic and brings his passion for music to the wedding. We had 2 guests who want to hire him for other events they were so impressed. Tom is accomodating, professional and such a pleasant person to work with. I honestly can’t imagine our wedding reception without Tom being there. His enthusiasm and charisma are exceeded only by his unbelievable talent. From playing jazz saxophone and flute during the cocktail hour, to ramping up the energy on the dance floor as a DJ, to performing Earth, Wind and Fire, Tom was simply the best DJ/Musician/Entertainer/Emcee we could have hoped for.
Many of you reading this are likely wrestling with the question of DJ or band – I know Becky and I were. Trust us… HIRE THIS MAN. As a brilliant guitarist and touching vocalist, he brings an immense charm and personal touch to great songs – and performs like a one-man band. But he is also a killer DJ that knows how to keep the party, when to slow it down for a bit, and how to ramp it back up. Becky and I met with him just once to discuss everything, and he remembered every detail, and was able to divine from a simple conversation EXACTLY the music we would want – as if we had chosen every song that night.
Our wedding was the most fun of any we’ve been to, and our friends and family have said the same thing. We had a beautiful hall, gorgeous flowers and excellent food, but it was Tom that truly made it a good time for everyone. We can’t thank him enough.

We could not have been happier. Tom was/is fabulous!!!! You will NOT be disappointed if you hire him for your event. The mix of live music, live vocals, and digital was perfect. Prior to the party, we sent Tom an extensive list of songs and/or musicians we wanted performed/played during the cocktail hour and dinner, and then for after-dinner dancing. We exchanged emails in which he made some suggestions so that by the time of the event, we were in sync. When he walked around the room during dinner playing the saxophone, we were thrilled ... as were our guests. I can't tell you how many people came up to us asking "Where did you find this guy?" and these are people who had 10-piece bands at their weddings! The facility where we held the party told us they were adding Tom to their list of recommended vendors.

We really wanted live music at our wedding, but quickly discovered that a band was out of our budget. After doing some digging online, we came across Tom Bruhl and thought he would be the next best thing. It is really hard to describe what he does and actually do him justice. He is a cross between a DJ and a “one man band” of sorts. He DJs, but also mixes in live performances of songs – he plays so well that, unless you are actually watching him, you may not even realize that you are not listening to the original recording. He also played saxophone during our cocktail hour. He is an incredible value, considering all that he does.

The dance floor at my reception venue is slightly larger than the average dance floor, and I was petrified of it looking empty and sad all night. I love dancing and really wanted my wedding to have an energetic, dance party feel, but I seriously doubted that many of my guests would be dancers. Tom played a great mix of songs for people of all ages and I was completely amazed at how packed the dance floor was all night long. I remember looking out at the crowd dancing several times and thinking, “I can’t believe that this is actually my wedding!”

If you want something a little different than your typical DJ, but can’t afford a band, please do yourself a favor and contact Tom.

Tom was a hit at our wedding. Tom Bruhl was AMAZING! He provided music for our wedding ceremony and reception. We gave him a list of music we would like to play, some not in his repertoire. He was able to accomodate all our requests and was easy to work with. He kept the dance floor packed all night and every one of our guests raved about how awesome Tom was (several even asked for his business cards!). We really wanted a live-band for our wedding, but it was definitely out of our budget. We're really happy we hired Tom since he was the best of both worlds with fun live music (he does an awesome rendition of Journey "Don't Stop Believing") and DJ skills. Tom Bruhl is amazing. He played flute and classical guitar for the ceremony, then transitioned to guitar along with backing tracks for the cocktail hour. We moved inside and he seamlessly moved from straight DJing to singing and playing along with songs. He even wandered through the room playing the sax at one point, riffing on 'Here comes the Bride' as he walked by our sweetheart table.

We gave him minimal guidance, and he crafted a delightful and dance-filled evening of music. Furthermore, every request people had, he was able to fulfill. For a good price, you get the equivalent of like 3 bands. Tom's the man.

Tom Bruhl is the greatest and he'll make your party the best! I promise! It made ours ;) All I heard were great comments about him from the guests. Tom played during our cocktail and dinner, actually he not only played his sax, flute or guitar but he also singed, which created a really good and relaxed environment. After dinner he played as a DJ and it also couldn't have been better. Tom is very versatile, he played an hour of oldies and songs that everybody knows and then after cutting the cake he moved into more modern dance music and the dance floor was never empty, just like we wanted :)

Based on the South Shore, Tom is a skilled musician and singer who performs live music and also provides DJ services. We were sold on hiring him because he was a nice guy, and gave us both live and recorded music in one person at one reasonable price. But there are so many other great reasons to hire Tom! We met with him a couple of times, and were in touch with him regularly, as we planned the event - he gave us his ideas and asked questions without being pushy, and he definitely made our ideas better! At our wedding, he alternated between instrumental/voice and recorded music throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, with seamless transitions. As an MC, he was constantly "on" but never annoying (unlike the other DJs we met at those sampler shows). He blended our ideas about music with his expert knowledge, and got everyone dancing. At the wedding, we happily hired him to stay for a little extra time because everyone was having such a great time.

Tom truly is a one man band, and a true talent…a rare gem in the wedding DJ business. When we first met with Tom at his home to pick out the music, we were thrilled and immediately relieved that we made the right choice. He will learn songs for you, plays several instruments during cocktail hour and dinner, and will pick the perfect late night sing-a-long that will bring down the house. As the wedding was drawing to a close the last thing we heard from our guests was them chanting, “ONE MORE SONG, ONE MORE SONG…” We are still hearing from our guests, and heard several times during the wedding, how incredible Tom was as a musician and a DJ. Tom is a great emcee as well, and will make your wedding day flow with perfection. When I was researching wedding DJ’s, it caught my attention that Tom gets glowing reviews from all his clients. Tom was truly one of the best parts of our reception! He is the kindest, most helpful person and will provide whatever you ask!!! We had our wedding in a train station and inside there was a little restaurant where we had cocktail hour and Tom played the saxophone and sang (the restaurant had a theme from the 1920’s and 30’s and was full of glitz & glamour) -he just played music that perfectly fit the vibe of the room! After dinner he kept the crowd dancing all night and fulfilled all our expectations and more!!!
We cannot say enough good things about Tom Bruhl and his professionalism, his skills and his ability to work any crowd! Tom did a great job with our wedding, during the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. We met with Tom and one other DJ during our search, but Tom blew us away with his talent and value. Tom played a variety of instruments and even learned 2 songs at our request for the ceremony. The dance floor was packed all night, even before the dinner was finished. Tom did a great job of entertaining, but never made it about him. He shined enough without overshining us. Definately would recommend Tom is anyone looking for a DJ that is more than lights and CDs. I have nothing but complements for Tom Bruhl.

Tom listens to his clients and actually follows through with his promises. He is an extremely talented musician, along with having an ear and feel of what music to play for the event he is working at.

Tom was the DJ for our New Years Eve wedding, and we received nothing but praises and questioned "Who is this guy? He is amazing!". He played his instruments (sax, guitar) during cocktail hour and that set the tone for the evening .... Now I am not saying this because this was my wedding, but I have never been to a wedding where literally almost every single guest was on the dance floor. All thanks to Tom.

Tom did a wonderful job at our wedding. He played some light music while guests were being seated then he played as we walked down the aisle and afterward during the cocktail hour. Then during dinner he sang a bit and then morphed into a master DJ! I swear not a single person sat down for 3 hours- not even the older folks. Somehow Tom just knew what to play to keep everyone dancing. Tom is a unique choice- very classy, but also fun all at the same time.

Tom played at my daughter's wedding and reception on 9/3/11 in Plymouth, Ma. He provided instrumentals before the wedding and during the cocktail hour using flute, saxophone and guitar. He combined live vocals with recorded tracks for the reception. From the minute he started at the wedding there was a buzz around the room wanting to know "Who is this guy? He's great" This level of greatness continued throughout the evening with the dance floor being filled all night. Everyone was raving about Tom and the outstanding job he did that night. Tom Bruhl is hands down the BEST entertainer/DJ/musician out there!!! He is a bride's musical dream come true, and if I could give him 10 stars, I would! Tom is a musical professional, not a guy who just does gigs on weekends. He was extremely attentive to detail and dealt with all of my many special requests (rarely taking more than a couple hours to answer via e-mail!). Hardly any guests were in their seats, which is exactly what I was hoping for. He played the crowd wonderfully, and I enjoyed seeing my loved ones dance like I've never seen before!!!

From the tears brought to my eyes during his rendition of "Waiting on a Woman" before the ceremony to the laughter from seeing my grandparents dance to Lady Gaga, Tom Bruhl helped to create a magical night that I will never forget.

Tom was nothing short of amazing! We had a lot of special needs and requests, and he far exceeded our expectations. We received so many compliments! He is such a talented musician, and we really were blown away! He has a natural talent for just going with the flow of the event, which is really important as every wedding is so different. He played the guitar, sax and flute during different times of the evening, and our guests really appreciated that he was something different from your average, run-of-the-mill wedding DJ. Tom rocks, literally. Not only was he out with his sax during cocktail hour, he sang (not played) several of our tracks for the dancing in the reception! The dance floor was super packed, and Tom kept many generations of folks happy out there!

Tom is what I would like to call a one-man band, but he is not cheesy at all. He played classical flute for my wedding ceremony, sang and played guitar/saxphone for the cocktail hour and parts of the reception, and was also a DJ for the remainder of the reception. Everyone loved his live music and thought he played gret songs. We had a day wedding, and Tom was able to get people dancing throughout the whole day. His pricing is very reasonable considering he performs from start to finish (and you get live ceremony music). He is also very personable and easy to work with.

Booking Tom for our wedding was one of our best decisions! I never imagined that I could afford live music at my reception, and wasn't sure I even wanted it, after all, I wanted to be able to dance to a wide variety of music types. Tom is the best of all worlds and at an unbelievable value. He charges far less than a number of pure DJs who just stand and there and hit buttons all evening. He is amazingly responsive by email (once apologizing for taking a little more than 24 hours to respond to an email), and unbelievably talented. He is charming and professional and the tour of his in-home studio blew us away with his obvious attention to his craft. My then fiancé who was a bit lack luster about the planning process completely lit up during our meeting with Tom. He listened to all our requests and even learned a new song to play at our reception. Our guests were wowed to see him playing all his different instruments and singing. A small ding only because he played an unedited version of an Eminem song, and before 9 o'clock at that when there were still a number of little kids there, but other than that his music choices were flawless and everyone had a great time. His wireless LED lights were also reasonably priced and made such a difference in enhancing our venue. I'm really really happy that we booked Tom for our wedding, he helped really make it an amazing party.

Husband's Pick was a Success!

How we found Tom is a bit of a funny story. I was frustrated with my to-be husband that we could not agree on a band or DJ. So, I tossed him my laptop and said "PICK SOMEONE". Lo and behold, the first person he sees is Tom! Truly a one man band as well as DJ. Tom was genuinely kind and very receptive to all our of abit interesting requests. People RAVED about his musical performances during the cocktail hour and his talent! Even during the ceremony he went between using the DJ equipment and musical equipment seamlessly. The absolutely only thing I wish was different was that I wish he didn't save 20 of our "must-play" songs to the end. I understand why it worked and kept people on the dance floor I just wish we got to dance to those specific songs longer than shorter cuts of them. But in the end, everything was fabulous and everyone had a wonderful time! We highly recommend him to anyone!
