Toan and his team member were absolutely amazing to work with on our wedding day! They captured every moment so beautifully and had the best recommendations for poses and photo locations. They made my husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and the photos turned out even better than we could have imagined — we honestly didn’t realize how great we looked until we saw them! The pictures completely blew us away, and that’s before any touch-ups.
Toan was incredibly communicative and easy to work with throughout the entire day and prior, making the whole experience seamless and enjoyable. We’re beyond thrilled with the final results and can’t recommend Toan and his team enough to anyone looking for a photographer to capture their special day! -

Toan was a fantastic photographer! Everything was perfect from great communication leading up to our celebration to the beautiful variety of posed and candid photos shared afterwards. He captured lovely intimate moments amongst the guests too which were so nice to see after the fact, little things we would have missed in the whirlwind of it all.
His editing style is really nice, he knows how to work with light in just the right way to capture an ethereal vibe without being too washed out.
He was also incredibly friendly and professional, really putting us at ease. My partner is definitely shy in front of the camera and Toan was able to get some awesome shots of him where he didn't feel stiff or uncomfortable.
The photos were delivered promptly and he's quite affordable for the excellent work he offers. I highly recommend him for your special day! -

Toan has truly been ONE OF THE BEST photographers I’ve worked with 🙌🏽. He was our engagement & wedding photographer & I can’t say enough about how amazing the entire experience was.
From the very start, Toan made us feel comfortable during our engagement photoshoot, even though my husband & I aren’t the types to take professional photos. He had us laughing the entire time & took the time to get to know our love story. It felt like we’d known him forever, even though we met him for the first time in San Francisco.
On our wedding day, Toan & Hai made everything incredible. Toan went above & beyond to ensure I wasn’t stressed & his calming presence was exactly what we needed.
He took the time to understand our vision for the day. He was hands-on in helping us prepare, keeping us on track with our timeline while still capturing every beautiful moment. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Toan and his team of experts for our engagement (January 2024) and wedding day (August 2024). My husband and I both are very awkward when it comes to taking photos, but Toan helped with our positioning and tweaked all the nuances to make our photos look stunning. It's amazing how much detail he puts into his work. Whenever I had questions or concerns, he would quickly respond to my emails and set up phone meetings. His effective communication reassured me that everything would be okay for my engagement photoshoot and wedding day. I loved that he would include his recommendations because my husband and I had no clue on where to take photos, how many outfits, what to expect, etc.
On the actual wedding day, we were running behind on schedule due to late guest arrival but he still handled everything with grace and a calm attitude. He didn't add pressure on us and just continued to make adjustments to the schedule to make sure everything essential for us was included. My husband and I were so grateful to him and his team as they exceeded our expectations.
Before we knew it, he was ready to send us our photos. It took us a while to go through all of 2,000+ pictures but it was fun to relive those moments! Our pictures turned our gorgeous! Our friends and family loved them too. We kept receiving compliments, which made us happy because our families can be quite cynical. Overall, I would highly recommend Toan and his team for all of your engagement/wedding photography needs. You won't regret it! -

If you need an amazing photographer, Toan is you man! Me and my wife had Toan do our engagement photo session out in SF and on that day, he got a flat tire driving out there. He was quick to contact us to let us know he would be delayed and he was able to get his tire fixed and still make it to our session (only about 20 min late)! He then did our wedding day photos and he and his team are great! Me and my wife are not very natural in front of the camera...especially with posing. Toan was so good with giving instructions but also making it fun so we do not feel too awkward.
Toan was also so good with communication and answering all of our questions leading up to our wedding day. And one of the best parts about Toan is that he gives you his estimated timelines for turnaround and he is always ahead of schedule! His turnaround time is amazingly fast so you can relive your special day all over again!
Toan is also very respectful. When he addressed our family members at the wedding for photos, he was super polite and very good at giving instructions to everyone in the pictures.
I would highly recommend Toan and his team for any of your photo sessions that you would like to have. Well worth it! Thanks Toan for your amazing photos and making us all look great! -

Toan and his team were fantastic!! Highly recommend for weddings and for engagement shoots! Some notes:
1 Amazing photography: Toan’s photography style and quality speak for itself. We looked through a number of photographers and it was clear Toan was exceptional in ability. He also has great experience at many venues in the region.
2 Kind and respectful: With photographers at weddings, we have learned it is important to have someone who cares deeply about the work they are doing - but also about you as a person/ couple. Toan was extremely kind, funny, and energetic - talking with us and our families in a way that made everyone feel comfortable.
3 Turnaround time: Toan is also excellent in terms of turnaround time, as we saw from our engagement photo shoot. He is extremely efficient and that is great when you are looking forward to seeing photos.
HIGHLY recommend again! -

Toan went above and beyond from start to finish to ensure everything from our wedding portraits to the wedding reception dinner was perfectly captured!
To begin, Toan set aside time to discuss our vision and address any questions we had. This attention to detail made him stand out among other photographers.
On the day of the events, Toan was highly professional and helpful throughout our wedding portraits, tea ceremony, and reception, capturing the heartfelt and exciting moments without skipping a beat. He even ensured our dog paid attention and looked at the camera in every shot. The final product was absolutely fantastic!

Photography was a huge priority for my wedding, so I did A LOT of research online and on Instagram to find a photographer whose style matched my own. My now husband and I spoke with Toan over facetime and I knew right away that he would be our choice! I could tell that his professional yet fun demeanor would work well with my camera-shy guy. And I was right! Toan and his partner, Hai, made all of us feel so comfortable.
Prior to the wedding day, I sent Toan a document with all of my venue inspiration pics, shot lists, and other moments that we wanted to capture – there was a lot and I certainly wasn’t expecting to get everything. To my surprise, Toan made all my dreams come true and managed to fit everything I hoped for, even when we were running low on time. He gave us clear prompts to make sure everyone looked their best in the photos and mixed things up so we could have lots of options to look back on. His communication with his partner was excellent so that everything flowed smoothly and there were multiple perspectives – like for the first look, wedding party photos, and first dance.
Most importantly, I trusted Toan wholeheartedly with his vision and his skill to execute that vision to perfection. His close-up shots were romantic and intimate. His wide-angle shots were majestic and grand. He worked with the natural lighting to create diverse works of art – giving us glowing sunset shots, dramatic portraits, and bright fairytale moments.
After the wedding, our photos were ready to view in just 2 weeks! We’re currently going through our nearly 2k photos to select many for further retouching/editing.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend Toan to all my friends, family, everyone! Everything about our experience with him was so professional, well thought out, and worth every penny. Our big day is over, but we’ll treasure these beautiful pictures forever! -

This is going to be very cheesy but I've been following Toanven photography for ages, ever since I saw them do wedding photos for one of my friends back in the days. I would always bug Toan by asking "when you gonna do my wedding photos?" He'd ask "when you getting married?" Then I always had to say "okay I'll let you know when that happens". So, finally I asked him like "hey I'm getting married, and I wanted to see if you were available to do my wedding photos?" He checked his calendar, and told me yes he was available !!!
I was very happy and excited because I was able to get the photographer I wanted for my big day; and of course that he was available as well. I really loved the way he captured all the moments and he knew how to fix things if needed as well. I was able to get him for the whole day (8 hours), and it was a great experience. Honestly you cannot go wrong with him.
I've been recommending others of my friends as well about Toanven Photography. -

I saw Toan and his team at my sister's wedding and noticed their punctuality, professionalism, and passion as a photographer. I requested them for my wedding and so glad I did. My wife and I don't know much about posing for photos. Toan and his team respectfully giving us advices which made the photos looked very elegant and stylish. We hired Toanven photography to capture our big day/Chinese tea ceremony. He took more than 1300 pictures by himself for 8 hours for 3 locations. He is the best photographer and definitely worth the price. Toan is very professional and experienced. He guided us on how to pose and he knew the best angle and location to take the perfect pictures. He sent us all pictures back 1 week after our wedding. Strongly recommend him with no regrets !!! -

Amazing experience with Toan Wedding Photohraphy
Toan's passion for photography is very admirable and refreshing! We had Toan to capture our wedding in Carmel,CA(May'22). Let me start by Toan's effortless and seemingly effective detailing. In our first meeting, he explained all the steps and what expectations we can set. We loved the photographs and all the beautiful moments he captured. His photography reflects his unparalleled skills and enthusiasm. He has his way to capture kids, I loved my niece photographs(who's 3 years). It was such an amazing experience to work with him. Hands down, the best photographer! Toan has given us a little peace of our wedding that my wife and I can cherish forever. When we first met him, he told us about himself to help us familiarize who he is and his work. We did both our engagement and wedding photos with Toan and Danny. Our engagement photos were taken on a foggy day in SF, whereas our wedding photos were on a sunny day in Pleasanton. Both set of engagement and wedding photos are stunning, unique and artistic. Needless to say, both my husband and I are thrilled with the results!

Toan was INCREDIBLE. he spent 12 hours with us on our wedding day and captured every moment that we wanted to remember. He confidently directed our large family and friends to take all the group photos and then helped just me and my husband look natural in countless different poses. He made it so that we didn’t have to think about those details on the day; we could trust we were in the best of hands.
Toan was almost giddy with excitement as he found new places to photograph us in San Francisco. It was obvious he was a true artist and was passionate about his work, getting energy from curating the most magical of scenes.

Toan's team is amazing to work with. First, we got their 8 hour package and Toan was always very responsive and reassured that his team would do their best in giving us a day we will always be able to remember. His response time was always quick and he was accommodating.
We were lucky enough to work with Trieu and Danny who are amazing photographers through and through. They would use whatever is in the environment to get a perfect still whether it be lively or dramatic. They taught us how to pose and really helped us ease into the day. Our wedding was at Stanford, and they were able to capture some amazing photos of us in the church. Our friends who married recently noticed how professional and great they were and commented that they wished they used this team for their own weddings. It was great working with them and I couldn't recommend them more for your special occasion. -

We were fortunate to have ToanVen Photography for both our engagement and wedding. Toan is friendly, professional, and punctual. Our engagement photo session was a little nerve wreaking and awkward to start with but Toan made it so much more comfortable and showed us step by step what we needed to do. Wedding planning was so stressful but the engagement photoshoot was one of our funniest memory. The photos turned out great!
Unfortunately, we had to postponed our wedding due to the pandemic. Toan was very accommodating and responsive to all our emails. Fast forward to our wedding day, Toan and his partner were so on top of it. They went the extra mile to do what they can to help during all the hectic times. He kept us on schedule (kind of acted like our day of coordinator), helped us with our poses, and came up with so many great idea for our photos. My bridesmaid, family, and friends couldn’t stop complimenting how great of a photographer Toan was. He was patient and paid attention to the little details such as having my guest sweep their hair aside if it was in their face during photos to having them switch their face mask to a different hand so it would not ruin the photos. Toan was the perfect choice as a photographer for our wedding. He came highly recommended from a close friend and videographer in the industry who works with many different Bay Area photographers. Toan was personable, available, and helpful from the beginning. He worked with my wife and I to find the perfect package within our budget.
On our big day Toan was perfect. He worked through the constraints of a rainy day to make sure we got beautiful images. He was brilliant from start to finish. Professional, efficient, friendly, and most importantly took the most fabulous photographs of our wedding. At moments he and his team helped to keep the night moving smoothly, helping us navigate moving through our quest tables and making sure we got pictures with everyone. At other times, him and his team seemed invisible, poking out at opportune moments to take the perfect pic. He was quick to get the photos back to us and they turned out great!. -

My husband and I chose Toanven for our wedding after reviewing many photographers in the bay area and we feel very lucky to have him! I saw Toan's photos and how he and his team work when I was attending a friend's wedding, so I know that at the end of the day I can rely on him to have great pics for the special day. My husband and I had a lot of "wow" moments when we went over the photos he took for us. His photos came out with a decent but also very natural style. His work is truly beyond our expectations.
Toan has good eyes and is very professional, reliable, and responsive throughout the process. He knows the places we chose very well so he easily pointed us to the right direction and location for good photos (very effective use of time) and guided us very well with the gestures. All my family were happy when they saw his photos and agreed with us that he is a good choice.
Although I followed up quite late for Toan to edit my photos, he responded right after and delivered the products very timely. I really appreciate his follow-through and good customer service.
I definitely will recommend Toanven Photography to my family and friends. -

Toan and his team are very professional- they reach out prior to your event so that you have realistic expectations and so that they have a clear understanding of what you want to capture and so everyone is on the same page and prepared before your big day. We were prepared to be on a strict schedule and Toan and his team were so good at getting our bridal party set in place and ready to take multiple pictures so that we have the a big variety of photos and poses to choose from at the end of the day. Booking Toanven Photography was the best decision we made for our wedding celebrations. We booked Toan for our engagement photos and our wedding day. Our engagement session was super fun and our wedding day was even better. Toan is the ultimate professional and helped make our wedding day so fun and easy. He made us comfortable in front of the camera, fixed our posture and blown-out-of-place bangs, corralled our chaotic family members and friends, made thoughtful suggestions all day, and helped to keep us and our timeline on track. He brought along 2 extra shooters on our wedding day to capture all our memories. Our guests and vendors loved him!
Before the wedding, I sent Toan some example shots of locations I liked around the venue. Boy, did he understand the assignment! His photos turned out even more impressive than the examples. He and his team shot a wide range of different poses in each location and more. I don't know how they captured such unique angles, but I'm so happy they did! We got sneak peeks a couple days after the wedding and we got our pictures back 2 weeks after that. Super fast! Note, these are the original images, we were able to choose photos for editing/retouching from there.
We were blown away by how our wedding photos came out. He captured the moments, the details, and the emotions perfectly. The venue seemed to look and photograph better on the day of our wedding, than on the day that we booked the venue! His photography is stunning, timeless, and romantic. We've gotten so many compliments from our friends and family and can't wait to hang our wedding photos up in our home.

Professional, Friendly and Amazing from Beginning to End
Hiring Toan and his team was one of the easiest decisions we made when it came to vendors. When we first met Toan, we just talked for an hour or so, getting to know each other and figuring out whether we can work with each other. I'm glad Toan took the time to really get to know us as I feel that is important when it comes to a wedding photographer. They are with you almost the entire day so it is important that you both feel comfortable with each other. I also appreciate Toan's honesty. From the beginning, he laid out what he needed from us in order to work together which I thought was great. Toan and my DOC worked together on the photo timeline so I didn't hear from him until a few days before the wedding.
On the day of, Toan, Hai and Vi showed up on time and immediately got to work. They were all professional yet extremely friendly with everyone they interacted with that day. It felt like we were all friends hanging out with multiple cameras everywhere. Once we got to the venue, it was extremely warm in the bridal suite. Vi, who was one of Toan's assistants, started fanning me with random paper she found so I could stay cool. To me, that goes above and beyond expectations. I know at some points, I was being a bit bridezilla like (the stress is real okay), so it was nice that Toan was trying to keep me calm and collected throughout the day.
In our initial conversation, Toan said him and his team work like ninjas and it is totally true. Once the reception got going, it's like they all dispersed and got so many great shots. Even during the ceremony, they were so quiet and quick and got a ton of shots of our guests. Now as we review our photos, it is so nice to see our wedding day from their perspective.
We are so pleased with our photos. I literally cried tears of joy when I saw them. From the ones we saw so far, they are absolutely stunning. We're still going through all of them which we received in less than 2 WEEKS. I was so anxious to receive them so its amazing that we got them so quickly. Toan and his team are AMAZING. Do not hesitate to hire them. You will not regret it! -

The first time I came across the work of Toanven Photography was over a year ago. I remember looking at this one photo thinking "Wow, this photographer is really creative!" Little did I know that I would be hiring Toan to capture me and my husband's special day. For anyone reading this review considering this photographer for their next event, BOOK HIM!! Everything from start to finish was smooth sailing. Toan and his team were very responsive and willing to answer any questions I had. The day of the ceremony, Toan was very punctual and professional. I don't have much experience with photoshoots besides the occasional selfie, but having a random stranger take photos of you can get awkward at times. You don't know where to look, where to put your arm, and you forget how to act natural. The thing my husband and I really appreciated from Toan was his ability to guide us and make us feel comfortable. He communicated well throughout the shoot and was very direct and clear with instructions. During the ceremony, I didn't even acknowledge he was there because he moved so swiftly. The turnaround time for photos was also very fast! I got them while I was on my honeymoon. Toan did a wonderful job at capturing this perfect day for us, and I know we will cherish these photos forever! You will not be disappointed. HIRE HIM!! :) -

Toanven Group is a GENIUS!
We cannot stop raving about how much we LOVE our wedding pictures!
We are SOOO fortunate to have found him through our venue's social media account (thankfully). Prior to our selection, we interviewed three other photographers, Toan was the only one who we naturally felt the chemistry with plus he had the most knowledge about weddings. His personality is warm, professional, and inviting. In addition, he became a natural leader amongst our vendors on our big day. We definitely needed someone who kept us on schedule, knew our timeline inside/out, and had an incredible eye for creativity and perfection.
On our big day, we had Toan's team of three, including Toan (himself). We specifically requested that he be there as we trusted his vision and creativity. Toan and his assistants made such an amazing team! They each had an infectious personality with a touch of humor. Seriously, they made our day so easy and relaxed.

If I remember correctly, I discovered Toan on Instagram about three years ago. Myself an aspiring photographer (or at the very least, a serious hobbyist), I was drawn to his compositions as well as the lifelike colors in his work. Not yet knowing a thing about him as a person, I knew I’d make a push to get him to shoot my wedding when my time came.
So when we set a date for our wedding in April 2019, the first vendor I reached out to Toan, and lo and behold, he was available.
From our first video call, Toan has shown to be someone who loves the art, who is highly professional and places his client’s wishes in the highest priority, and who has the fun personality you’d want in a friend.
We had got the wedding package that included an engagement shoot. For that shoot, Toan was very helpful in suggesting locations to shoot at and accommodating when we had ideas of our own. Needless to say, we loved the results.
The wedding was no different—Toan and his team showed up early, got all the typical shots one would expect for a wedding, and then went beyond that to let their creativity run free (which resulted in a lot of really great and unique shots.)
In terms of turnaround time, Toan promised to get the pictures back to us in a surprisingly short amount of time, and then proceeded to deliver them to us even sooner.
All in all, I couldn’t speak well enough of Toan and his wonderful team. -

SO EASY to work with! Amazing Work!
Toan and his team are amazing!!!! Communication was always easy and clear with Toan. He is very professional and acknowledgeable about different locations on where to take pictures. I asked him for suggestions and he would come back with various locations based on what i wanted! The day of my wedding, he got to work right away. Knew what to take pictures of and also directed our positions (how to stand, move your arm, move your head, lean back, arch back, relax shoulders, smile, etc). My husband is not a photo guy but Toan made it super easy for him to pose! We really enjoyed his time and service. The pictures were stunning! Our family/friends wanted to know who our photographer was because it came out AMAZING! Great work! We now recommended him to all our friends and family! -

I was a looking for a photographer for my wedding at the last minute, and while browsing around I had so many options to choose from available photographers. I had no idea what I was looking for as this is the first time I have ever had to hire a professional photographer. And I absolutely had no idea what to look for when it came to pricing. My friend advised me that she knew a photographer that was very good so they referred me over to Toanven Photography. I looked up their site and looked at various photos shoots that the owner Toan Ven Nguyen had done. I found the pictures to be very appealing so I decided to give Toan a call. To my surprise, he had an open slot available for my wedding day ! We set up and appointment to meet up and Toan went over the various packages he had to offer. He went into detail as to what all packages included and helped my fiance and I choose the best package that fits what we needed. We liked Toan's attitude and personality so we decided to sign up and move forward with him. He presented to us a simple contract to sign and set the dates for our engagement shoot. As the day for the engagement shoot came up, I had conflicting schedules and had asked to move the appointment to a different day, and Toan was able to accommodate it for us which helped us out a lot. On the day of the engagement shoot, he was there promptly and had a second photographer to help him shoot, which was great because they had a lot gear and equipment and it would've been difficult for him to do everything by himself. Throughout the photo session, I discovered Toan was more than just a photographer, but also a director of photography. The shoot went by really fast and he and his partner did hundreds of shots, it was fun working with them as they were energetic and always made us laugh. He also had a veil for my fiance to wear which really helped making her have the complete look. I also had some special requests to have him shoot us with my car, and he was able to do that for us. I didn't know what to expect with the outcome of the photos, but by the time I got home a just a few hours later, he was able to send over a preview of some of the photos, and my first impression seeing them was WOW !! The pictures came out amazing and we both enjoyed what we saw. He was able to upload for us promptly to view them all and got them edited in the time frame he had promised. I would have to say I never new how amazing photos can be until I met Toan. The wedding day photos came out more beautiful than expected, Toan got us a ton of photos that we will forever keep in our memories. All of our family and friends complimented on how great the photographer did with the photos. We couldn't have been more happy with going with Toan Ven Photography. With his amazing photography skills, friendly and accommodating service, energetic personality, professionalism, reasonable prices and prompt communications (always able to reach through email, text, phone calls), I would have to say a made the BEST choice to go with him ! Another thing I like about Toan is that he is very passionate with what he does and works in the late hours to get your photos done. The price that you pay for his services is well worth it, and I have no regrets. You get what you pay for, and I would have to say Toan goes above and beyond what you pay him to do. Perfect Photographer for our dream wedding
Toanven is AMAZING to work with, he was our dream photographer, first of all you can tell that he has a passion for what he does, he is easy-going, friendly, funny, full of positive energy and professional.
You spend lots of time with your photographer on your wedding day, Toan and his assistant made it fun and we appreciated how much attention and thought they put into the photos when capturing, they made my husband and I feel very comfortable.
In the time leading to the wedding, Toan was super easy to talk to about questions we had and is open to any ideas that you will have and is very honest whether they will work or not. He knows timelines very well and plans accordingly.

Amazing Photographer!
Town and his team were amazing! They were professional, punctual and had great positive energy.
The booking process was quick and Toan showed us his portfolio that really helped us envision how we wanted our photos to turn out. Payment was simple as well with various payment options.
On the day of, they were available for any photo we wanted with our family. It was a plus that they spoke Vietnamese since it was easy for them to communicate with our family.
We got all of our unedited photos before the 2 weeks that he promised and it was so simple to choose the ones we wanted him to edit. A huge bonus was he let us keep all of the photos taken.
If you’re looking for a reliable photographer where you won’t have to worry about during a stressful wedding, you should definitely consider Toan and his team!! -

Professional and Very Efficient
Toan is fantastic, and such a professional. From the contract signing (months before the wedding), to the actual wedding date, to him finalizing our photo selections, everything was so organized, easy, and (maybe most importantly) SIMPLE. This guy knows EXACTLY what he's doing.
On the wedding day, we had a total of four different locations for our morning festivities, ceremony, and reception. He and his assistant were on time, very quick to set up, and provided great suggestions whenever they saw good photo ops. We were in constant communication throughout the day, and I felt like they were always in the right places.
I would highly recommend Toan to anyone looking for a photographer. Again, he's so friendly, helpful, accommodating, and easy to work with. His calendar fills up pretty quickly so you'll need to book him ASAP, and if you miss out, I can assure you that it'll be tough to find another photographer this awesome! -

Toan did our wedding and we are so happy with the results. He has the experience needed to capture the important moments of your wedding. You won't be disappointed with his work. I've grown up surrounded by photographers. In my opinion, there could be (2) two types of photographers. (This is just my thought and I could be wrong.) One type will be the less skilled photographer whom will compensate his/her lack of abilities with expensive equipment like fancy lenses, sexy-cleavage shots, or take on additional duties like video recording and bridal rentals. The second type would be the very skilled photographer whom only does one thing - photography! Toan is the second type and he excels at photography. I noticed that he can actually DO A LOT with very little. His skill level is amazing and we look forward to seeing his team and business continue to grow -

- Creativity & passion is through the roof! You can tell that he and his team love their jobs. The team take photos like it's their own wedding.
- The team of 3 (we hired 2, but he wanted additional help - at no additional cost to us) showed up in professional attire.

2) QUICK TURN AROUND

Tips to the bride/groom:
- Give yourself more time than you think to take photos. He will ask you to create a timeline for the day's events. (Don't forget to include walking/travel time.)
- Tell Toan any special requests ahead of time: who you want photos with (specific family or friends), any special details you want captured... if there is a specific style, etc.
