Absolutely AMAZING wedding DJ

TJ McKay was simply amazing and was so understanding and had so much fun with our wild crowd. Our wedding day would not have been possible or even perfect without him! ❤️

We couldn't have been happier with our DJ choice! TJ arrived on time & kept the fun going all the way up until our send off. He also provided a monogram light that really popped in our pictures. Thank you, TJ!

TJ did a great job being the dj at our wedding! We loved the music and everyone had a great time! He knew exactly what songs to play to get the crowd to dance and have a great time. Many people told us they loved the mix of songs played! We will definitely recommend to any friends or family!

TJ did a great job balancing songs we wanted with music he suggested. He also did a nice job announcing events, introductions, etc. He even helped us get an extra half hour of reception time than planned. Highly recommend.

TJ was just amazing at our wedding. He was on top of everything and so incredibly professional. Our music was perfectly timed for the ceremony. At the last minute, TJ placed a GoPro camera to record our ceremony, and the video is awesome and something we will cherish forever. Our guests had awesome things to say about the reception music. TJ was able to read the crowd and give them whatever they needed at a moments notice. If you are looking for a DJ, call TJ now! He is awesome to work with in the planning of your music and even better the day of the event. I cannot imagine having a better experience. Thank you, TJ!

TJ is hands down the best DJ ever! He met with us prior to the wedding to plan some of the songs and learn about our musical interests. He also helped me pick out some of the ceremony music. TJ was great at reading the crowd and playing music that everyone would enjoy. The "Shoe Game" was great! We have had many compliments from guests about TJ. We definitely recommend him! I want to plan another party just so we can have him DJ!!

TJ did an amazing job! I have already recommended him to several friends. He was very professional (as well as affordable). He was also very easy to get in touch with, unlike some of the other DJs who never even returned our calls. My husband and I have a very eclectic taste in music, but TJ managed to keep people on the dance floor all night. He also suggested we play 'the shoe game.' Don't look it up. Just do it. It makes for some great laughs and a lot of fun that your guests will definitely talk about.

TJ was great! He kept the crowd upbeat and I received many compliments on my DJ and his "shoe game" which was so much fun!! My husband and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great DJ! I've also had the pleasure of knowing him since I was in middle school and he's such a great person that I knew I could trust him to deliver the best music and be the most fun, which he definitely came through on for me and I know would for any other couples looking for their wedding too!

TJ was so awesome to work with!!! I have worked a few other events he has dj'd for and new I wanted him to be at my wedding. He is a great, fun, and energetic DJ and your crowd will love him!

TJ was everything we could have hoped for. He did our ceremony music as well as our reception. Last minute he also added some extra equipment to add sound inside our venue for toasts because everything else was outside. TJ kept our guests on the dance floor, despite a little bit of chilly weather. And was very attentive and willing to do whatever we wanted. Great prices and worth every penny. I would definitely choose TJ again if I could do it again or if I ever need a dj for another event!

TJ was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very organized, and went above and beyond to ensure that the music at our wedding exactly what we had imagined. Before the wedding, he was very communicative, friendly, and gave us some great suggestions for the reception. During the wedding he was flexible, which was really helpful as not everything always go to plan. I would highly recommend him as your wedding DJ!

I'm a wedding photographer and have photographed several weddings that TJ McKay has DJ'd since I started in 2010. He is my favorite DJ and I recommend him all the time! He is so nice, plays great music, is involved with the guests just enough but isn't over-the-top or pushy. He has top of the art sound equipment and lights and has never missed a beat! He is a great person to work with and is very desirable in the entertainment industry! Everybody knows and loves TJ McKay! He is locally famous for a reason!

We could not have chosen a better DJ. He kept things going. He every piece of music anyone requested. Even prepared a "newlywed game". The date would not go to the correct year. It was 4 years ago.

TJ was great. He was very helpful in song selection and incredible knowledgeable about ho to wedding DJ. He offered suggestions and had access to all the songs old, new and obscure that we wanted for the reception. He also helped us out in a jam- he played the music for processional and recessional for the actual ceremony. You could not ask for or get a better DJ and why would you want to- he's so awesome, his personality is always fun and somehow he keeps it professional. He's a blast to work with

I was thrilled that we used him as our DJ and videographer. We had originally hired another company that fell through at the last minute and TJ McKay was there to save us! He did an AWESOME job in all aspects, I have never had more fun at a wedding or seen a crowd have as much fun for that matter! (I worked as a wedding planner for a few years so I have attended and worked quite a few weddings and receptions!) For our wedding video, he asked my husband and I a few questions about each other and recorded our responses- it was nice to see that small interview when we got the video. He also had recorded a few well wishes from some of our guests, it was very touching to see! At the reception we played the "shoe game" which was absolutely hilarious, and he did a great job at keeping our crowd on the dance floor. He was also able to honor special requests from my sorority as well as the theater group that my husband and I were a part of in college (he came prepared with a few show-tunes for us)! He was also able to do all of our sound for the ceremony. For coming in about a week or so before the wedding it seemed he had been with us from the beginning. Anyone in the area looking for a dj, I HIGHLY recommend TJ McKay, you will NOT be disappointed! Our friends are still talking about how much fun they had that night, and we got married over 2 years ago!!

TJ was absolutely phenomenal at our July wedding! He went above and beyond to personalize our special day with our genre of music as well as some crowd pleasers! He made me feel very comfortable and at ease on what usually is a very stressful day! I actually met TJ after I enlisted his services for a company event and knew right away he would be perfect for our wedding! After the wedding, I continued to use him for other work related events and he never disappoints! He values client relations and has even stayed in touch!!

We loved working with TJ McKay! I met with him to discuss what we were looking for in music, and he knew the exact vibe we wanted. We warned TJ that we wouldn't have a big "party" crowd, but still wanted everyone to have a good time. TJ knew the exact type of music to keep the dance floor filled with people of all ages. TJ also made a great MC, he was very entertaining and kept the reception running smoothly. I highly recommend TJ McKay.

We found Partytime DJ and initially we were impressed with how they handled finding the DJ perfect for our happy couple and the ease of an electronic contract but getting in touch with TJ was a little more difficult and he struggled w/ committing to us. They were quick to respond initially but TJ gave us all a panick when it came to meeting with us prior to reception. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves but we wish TJ would have had been a little more flexible with song requests from all our guests and in tune with crowd. Overall good time but never forget about the ones writing the check. (wouldn't allow me to enter correct )date

We hired TJ McKay to DJ our wedding and paid for an extra hour so he could do the music to our ceremony as well (both were outdoors). We met with TJ twice in person to plan the music and express our desires for our big event. Three days before our wedding he even called to confirm, and we had to make some corrections to his notes as well. We assumed that all of our planning, online form submission and TJ's notes would ensure us a perfect day. We were wrong.

The ceremony: As it turns out our officiant asked TJ to test his microphone before people arrived to sit down, but he was assured "it will work". I found out after my ceremony that the microphone never worked and the majority of my guests did not hear our officiant nor our vows. This was devastating to me, it was a very intimate moment that we wanted to share with all those invited and it was ruined. I also heard that TJ was waving, trying to communicate with the officiant, while people were seated waiting for the ceremony to begin. The officiant arrived almost 2 hours before our start time, and this should have been handled in advance.

The reception: My groom and I, along with our bridal party, were lined up and ready to be introduced to our reception. We stood in the cold for what seemed like forever, several people even came looking for us because we had been gone so long. Eventually TJ showed up where we were lined up and needed the song for our introduction - FOR AT LEAST THE THIRD TIME. Then we had to wait while he downloaded the song in order to play it. We missed at least 30 minutes of our reception due to this and the groom and I were both furious.

I was also told that he opened the reception by asking for requests, which we specifically told him we did not want to do. We gave TJ a list of requested songs (we had a request on our RSVP) and a list of songs not to be played in advance, yet that list didn't seem to be followed at all.
