Beautiful, delicious, crowd pleasing cake!

We ordered three flavors on three layers - lemon cream cheese, honey pistachio, and white chocolate raspberry - and all were loved by the crowd. We heard feedback that the honey pistachio was even better than the pistachio cake from another popular bakery nearby! The cake was perfectly decorated to our envisioned design, incredibly rich and buttery, and Chef Cameron not only set up the cake but beautifully arranged the florals on top.

Beautiful and excellent taste

The cake was beautiful and elegant. We ordered 3 tiers. First tier was red velvet, second was vanilla and third was chocolate. All three was delicious. Highly recommend.

Tastes AND looks amazing

SUCH great wedding/grooms cake (every flavor was amazing.. and we did 4!!). decor was exactly what we hoped for! tasting was so much fun and we can't wait to have it again on our 1 year anniversary.

Stunning and Delicious Cake

Cameron was an absolute joy to work with from the very beginning. At the first cake tasting we explained our vision for our wedding cake and he delivered! We were actually invited back for a second tasting to decide on the final cake flavor, chocolate cake with vanilla bourbon butter cream. This cake was not only delicious but also stunning to look at. We cannot recommend Tinkers enough!

Perfect, delicious, amazing price

You get to taste before you buy! The samples are amazing and make it hard to decide which to choose. They didn't charge for delivery because we were within lexington at Talon winery and cake stand rental was included. Another bakery I was quoted $90 just to have them deliver because my wedding was on a Sunday. Not only that but once we got home and opened our card box they had put in a gift card for an 6" anniversary cake in a year which was awesome because now that means I get to go chow down on the delicious top I saved back thinking I was supposed to save it lol. We chose Italian cream cake, strawberries and cream and vanilla bean and everyone loved them. We did a naked cake which has less frosting but it was still the perfect amount no one could tell. Super sweet cake and a great deal, to feed I believe 75 people it was $300. We ended up only having 55-60 ppl so it worked out.

Fantastic and delicious

Cameron was so easy to work with and was very reliable. He communicates well, and the cake was delicious!! We had so many compliments!! Already looking forward to our anniversary cake.

My cake matched the picture

Because of covid we had to downsize our reception and therefore our cake. Tinker's had no problem doing this. They were up front about costs as well. The cake turned out great and was really tasty too. The buttercream icing was very light.

Best wedding cake vendor!

Tinkers was the absolute best choice for our wedding cake. They were open to our design suggestions and thoughts. Also their flavors are unbeatable. My cousin had a birthday the same day as our wedding day and Tinkers was able to accommodate making an additional birthday cake for her that we had as a surprise at the reception. They were great with design, flavors, price, everything! Top choice for wedding cake vendor.

wonderful!

Thankful for this experience, my husband and I were both pretty laid back about our cake and didn’t give super specific instructions, so I left it in his hands. The cake exceeded our expectations both aesthetically and in taste! I’m so glad we went with Tinkers, he made the day stress free in that department.

Delicious and Beautiful

Delicious cake - not a crumb left on the tables! we had a multi-tiered cake, with each tier a different flavor. Cake was simple but elegant. The tasting was excellent - so hard to choose. Tinker's can make your vision a reality.

Amazingly wonderful!

Cameron, is such a sweetheart. So very talented, his displays were beautiful! I can’t wait to have him make my wedding cake!!! The tasting samples were absolutely to die for.

The best cakes ever!!

Cameron and his wife are so professional and great at what they do their cakes are amazing and their macaroons are as well.. Our cake was exactly what we asked for along with our Macaroons. I love them so much.

My Perfect Wedding Cake!

I am so glad that my husband and I used Tinker's for our wedding cake. We went in to sample the flavors and loved all of them. Ultimately, we chose chocolate champagne, tiramisu, and carrot cake. Their carrot cake is AMAZING! I came in with an idea in mind for what I wanted the cake to look like, and Tinker's made my idea come to life. It was so incredibly beautiful. The best part about Tinker's is that they will make you a fresh top layer of your cake for your one year anniversary, so you don't have to eat year-old frozen cake.

Beautiful work, delicious cake

Cameron worked with me over email for six months before my wedding to make sure I had my cake - he was amazing! Not only was my cake beautiful, it was delicious. We ate the ENTIRE thing and I can't wait to go back to Kentucky and get my anniversary cake with them.

LOVED our wedding cake. Tasted amazing, and was just beautiful. You can't go wrong with Tinkers. The tasting was a fun experience, and you get a surprise drawing/prototype of your cake. I'm framing it!

Delicious and Delightful

We went for a cake tasting and loved the flavors. Loved the Scraped Cake look, and not a big fan of fondant. They made the perfect cake, and were more in line with our budget than the other bakers in the area. We also got a groom’s cake for the rehearsal dinner with a Chicago Bears logo. Looked and tasted great. Reliable delivery and creative designs. A true artist and baker combined. Also includes a first anniversary cake!

The cake taste is amazing. The design is amazing. Mr. tinker is top class and such a easy person to deal with. It is literally everything you could ever want. Do yourself a favor and just pick Tinkers.

We met with Cameron almost a year before our wedding to select our cakes. We had no worries about how it would turn out. He made the head of our dog from icing and had it poking out from under our main cake. Too cute! And the grooms cake was a replica of my husband’s racing airplane. Our guests loved the inventive design and the fabulous flavors!

Tinker's designed and made our wedding cake for our wedding day this past December 30, 2017 and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Cameron and Tinker's Cake Shop. Our cake was flawless! We received so many compliments about the design and don't even get me started on the flavor of cake and the buttercream frosting! It was absolutely delicious and our guests raved about the flavors. We selected dark chocolate champagne, vanilla bean, red velvet, lemon with cream cheese, and strawberries and cream! YUM! Cameron was consistently professional and very thorough/timely with all of his communication. Our tasting was enjoyable and when we sent him a picture of the type of design we wanted, he completely blew our expectations out of the water.

The cake was delivered with plenty of time to spare on our wedding day and the fresh flowers and cake topper that were left to go on the cake were placed perfectly. In addition to a perfect wedding cake, Cameron also made 4 additional gluten-free cupcakes to meet the dietary needs of two our guests. He was so gracious about doing this and both guests raved about the fact that they were actually able to have delicious wedding cake with everyone else! Tinker's is a wonderful cake shop! I can't wait to get our one-year anniversary cake this year!

The best way to describe everything about Tinkers Cakeshop is "WOW!" I met with Cameron five months before our wedding for a tasting. I thought I wanted traditional buttercream frosting with vanilla cake. When my Mama and I went to his shop, he had eight or so different flavors for us to try. I couldn't pick just one! He told me he could incorporate a couple of different flavors, and I ended up choosing four.

Cameron designed the most perfect cake. We did not know exactly what we wanted the cake to look like. However, as we had our first meeting my mind was racing with ideas due to his assistance and extensive knowledge base. He created a very elegant, and incredibly tasty!, wedding cake that was perfect.

I wanted to surprise my groom with a special Groom's Cake, but didn't know exactly where to begin. The groom has a lot of hobbies, but not one that stands out more than the other. Cameron and I started talking, and I shared with him the groom's favorite sports teams, city, hobbies, and the type of future dog we want to have together, and he designed the most perfect cake. My groom was over the moon when he saw it.

Cameron's cakes are phenomenal! Everyone raved about how good the cake was and there was not a single piece left. He was so easy to work with and very responsive. He also helped me surprise my fiancé with a game of thrones grooms cake that turned out fantastic! We can't wait until our one year anniversary to taste his cake again!

Tinker's Cake Shop does not disappoint! The cake tasting was fun and very professional, the hardest part was picking out a flavor because they were all so good. Our actual cakes were exactly what we wanted and more! Cameron was amazing and worked hard to make everything as personal as possible. He delivered our cake out of town, and made it a point that he would be there to set it all up. Additionally, he worked with our florist to add the fresh flower there, truly showing his art of cake decorating. Our grooms cake was also amazing, we could not have asked for a better place. We would highly recommend!

Cameron was really great to work with. The whole experience was really enjoyable, the cake tasting was so fun and everything was delicious. He was able to help us create exactly what we wanted. I was really surprised at how affordable it was. He also re-makes the top layer of your cake for your anniversary which is a really great feature. I would definitely recommend Tinkers!

My family thought I was crazy for wanting an expensive wedding cake but soon found out that it was well worth the money. My cake was exactly what I had pictured. It was extremely beautiful, but also very delicious. After our wedding I wished I had leftover cake. Get the carrot cake, don't question it.

Cameron was great to work with. My husband and I are from northern IN so most of our contact was by email. That did not put a damper on the experience thought. We traveled down for the cake tasting and I have to say the flavors were amazing. All of our guests loved the cupcakes on the day of our wedding. I highly recommend the dark chocolate champagne! If you are looking for a wonderful experience and even better cakes - Tinker's Cake Shop is the place to go.

We choose their cupcake with a cake for us to cut in to. The cupcakes were amazing and so good. It is also awesome that we got a gift card so we could receive a cake for our one year anniversary. They were easy to talk to and the tasting was amazing. I wanted all of the options.

Cameron at Tinker's was amazing from the start! We meet at the Bridal Bliss in August for our April 2017 wedding which won us over by taste alone. Cameron worked his creative, artist magic for our perfect cupcake wedding tower. I had several communications, as we were planning all of this from out of state, with him regarding my own ideas, grooms cake photos of my husbands custom Harley and more. He was able to create a replica of his bike and present a stunning Celtic topper for our Irish/Rustic/Elegant themed wedding. He even made sure to take care of our "gluten free" guests. We could not have been happier with our choice of Tinker's Cakeshop. If you want to wow your guests with taste and beauty this is the place. You will not be disappointed!

We absolutely loved our wedding cake! Cameron at Tinker's was so responsive and created exactly what I had envisioned. Our wedding was on a very hot day and he delivered the cake as close to wedding time as possible so it wouldn't melt, it turned out perfect. We chose Cameron from Tinker Cakes because simply the cakes we had at our tasting were amazing. The different variety of flavors made choosing Cameron an easy choice since we had a cake plus cupcakes. We even changed our mind last minute on the Groomsmen cake which was not a problem at all! There were multiple compliments on the cake and cup cakes from our guests as well.

Cameron was amazing. My cake looked exactly like I pictured it to and it was soooo good! All of my guest raved about how good the cake tasted and I think some went back for seconds and thirds. If you want a cake that is perfect, I would def recommend Tinkers!

I literally sent Cameron a picture of a cake I wanted and he made it! Hand made delicate flowers made out of sugar, gold and white, three tiered cake with three different flavors and it was absolutely magnificent! The cake display he gave us matched the cake perfectly and it was amazing!!! I can not wait to get our anniversary cake!!! Worth every penny and I would recommend him to anyone if you want a beautiful delicious wedding cake for your day!

We absolutely LOVED our cake! It was by far the best-looking, best-tasting, best value wedding cake around. Cameron was wonderful to work with. He was efficient and friendly. We enjoyed doing a free tasting at the shop and talking design ideas with him. He matched our vision perfectly and had the tools to do some really neat stuff, like metallic gold food paint. Our cake looked like it came straight out of a fairy tale! He delivered our cake to the venue worked with our florist to arrange fresh flowers on it at no additional charge. Our guests raved about all 4 of our wedding cake flavors! It was also a great deal--we got a discount for having a family member that had used Tinker's, and a second discount for paying our full balance upfront. One thing that makes Tinker's especially awesome is that we didn't have to save the top tier of our wedding cake... Instead, Cameron is going to make the top tier of our cake fresh for us on our one year anniversary! Tinker's is the way to go for wedding cakes in KY, hands down.

Cameron was amazing to work with, and such an artist! Our tasting was professional, and delicious, and he executed our vision perfectly for both our wedding cake and groom's cake! Tinkers Cake Shop was recommended by everyone I spoke to in the Lexington area, so that made our decision easy! Cameron was accommodating in every way! He made our cake tasting experiencing a great one as well. Our cake turned out just as we had dreamt it would. And it tasted just as great! I would highly recommend Tinkers for any special occasion!

Tinker's Cake was a delight to work with! Cameron was so accommodating in every way possible. When I had to do a cake tasting without my fiancé Cameron boxed up another tasting for me to take home to him. It was so sweet! Also, when I realized that we needed to order a slightly smaller cake after I had already paid in full Cameron quickly refunded me for the smaller size. Tinker's also provides you with a voucher to get the top layer of your cake remade for your one-year anniversary! No need to save any cake and freeze it- Cameron just makes you a new top layer! I don't think it can get any better than that!

Cameron is a remarkable baker who can create cakes of any style. While my cake was relatively simple with its thick, homestyle frosting, beautiful spatula strokes, and cascade of fresh flowers, he clearly spared no attention to detail. Tinker’s offers many flavors ranging from traditional to adventurous, so there will be something that every guest can enjoy. The cake is moist, and the cake-to-frosting ratio is perfect.

Tinker’s wedding cakes are a great value. Unlimited customization – including your choice of cake stand – is included in the price of your cake, which allows for flexibility in determining what flavors and decorations you would like. One of my favorite parts of working with Tinker’s is their approach to the top tier. Rather than trying to freeze the top tier of your wedding cake for a year, Cameron bakes you a fresh recreation of your top tier on your first anniversary.

The only reason I would get married again is for Cameron's cake. My fiance is in love with macarons so we ordered them, as well as the most stunning wedding cake I have ever seen. I took Cameron a picture of a cake we wanted and he made it even more beautiful than the picture. And the strawberry flavor was to die for! I was honestly looking forward to the cake more than any other aspect of the wedding-other than the fiance. Pure talent making and designing cakes and macarons-that's Cameron.

If you are looking for the best, you found it. Cameron's presentation and flavor of cakes is definitely the best in Lexington if not the entire state. However, the best part of working with Cameron is his level of professionalism. Cameron is a perfectionist and the great thing is, he pulls it off! He is always on time, his quality is unbeatable, and his price is extremely reasonable.

Tinker's is AMAZING. From day one Cameron was professional, friendly, and an expert on everything cake! Cameron did an amazing job with our cake. He provided a memorable experience for our cake tasting and even made two custom flavors for us! He also made two edible cake toppers of our pets complimentary. He delivered the cake and picked up the cake stand both free of charge. Cameron is truly talented! Our consultation was fun, and our cake drawing mock up was exactly what we wanted! We used my grandparents wedding cake topper, and asked him to match the buttercream frosting to it, since it is ivory rather than white. Well the Friday before our wedding we were unable to bring him the topper, so we took a picture of it on a piece of white printer paper, and he was able to match it almost perfectly! The cake was delicious, everyone raved about it. Thank you Cameron!

Made great wedding cake with multiple flavors. The groom's cake was an amazing replication of our dog that looked almost lifelike. This alone made them great, add in the fresh cake made at your 1 year anniversary and it is hard to beat Tinkers

Tinker's Bake Shop provided the wedding cake for our daughter's wedding. It was such a pleasure to work with Cameron on the cake selection and design. He arranged for a tasting of all the flavors he baked, and they were all delicious. Ultimately, we decided on the white chocolate with raspberry filling. It was outstanding.

Cameron is very professional, and his cakes taste as good as they look. He was very punctual in setting up the cake on the day of the wedding and very thoughtfully provided boxes for any left-overs we might have. We highly recommend his services.

I cannot say enough good things about Tinker's Cake Shop!! We met with some other bakers before meeting with Tinker's and were super disappointed with the lack of options and utter lack of professionalism and organization we kept running into. We were in kind of a funk and not thinking we were going to get anywhere when we walked into Tinker's Cake Shop and were completely blown away. We were treated like royalty from the moment we walked in the door and the extreme professionalism, organization, and clear-cut information was exactly what we wanted. We were told our options, Cameron Tinker was willing to do whatever we wanted with the cake, they provide a fresh one-year anniversary topper, and I felt so comfortable with the cake shop overall. At no time was I worried about something going wrong with cake (it arriving on time, the flowers/cake topper I provided being lost, something going wrong, etc) because just from visiting the shop you immediately know that Tinker's Cake Shop is reliable and trustworthy. It was a touch (just a bit) more expensive to go with Tinker's but it was every bit worth the money for the simple fact that we were totally convinced that everything would be under control. And when it was all said and done it was perfect!!!

My husband and I were a destination wedding, and I can certainly say Cameron's service and work was top-notch! The cake flavors were amazing, and the cake was perfectly moist, and the frosting was perfect. He worked with my parents on the decoration and drew up sketches at their request. Everything turned out amazing! Everyone in my family loved the cake and there were definitely no complaints on taking the leftover cake home with them! I would recommend his cake shop to anyone - you won't be disappointed with the results!

This is the best wedding cake I have ever tasted!! Our bottom tier was the Marble Chocolate, middle tier White Chocolate Raspberry, and the top tier Strawberries and Cream! All were delicious, but I recommend the Strawberries and Cream for sure! Cameron was responsive and super flexible to meet up with my husband and I. We cannot wait for the one year anniversary cake!

My cake was amazing. Honestly it was delicious. So many people told me they didn't believe in a moist and tasty wedding cake until they had ours. The cake was also beautiful, Cameron did a great job with a slightly overwhelmed bride unable to provide a lot of direction. They were also a dream to work with on the day of.

My MOH also used Tinker's for her wedding a few months later and the cake was amazing then. It was a totally different but lovely style, that totally fit her, just like mine fit me.

Cameron did a wonderful job with our wedding cake, and the groom's cake that we served at our rehearsal dinner. To say that the groom's cake was a hit is an understatement-- Cameron created a life sized replica of my husband's dog dressed in a Robert Griffin III jersey! The "Woody the beagle" cake looked exactly like the real Woody-- spots and all. Beautiful work. Our wedding cake also turned out just the way we'd hoped-- a simple but perfectly executed 4 layer white buttercream cake with petite pearls and fresh flowers. Each layer was a different flavor-- all were delicious, and our guests were especially complimentary of the cake. Great job, Cameron is so professional and talented.

Cameron did such an amazing job! From the first email to the tasting to wedding day, Cameron was easy to work with, responsive, helpful and his cake tastes amazing! During the tasting appointment we brought our ideas and he helped us figure out what would look best. We ended up with a 4-tier wedding cake and a 2-tier groom's cake; all 8 of his flavors were so good that we couldn't narrow them down so we ended up choosing 4 of his flavors! On wedding day, I was amazed at how beautifully done our cakes were and they tasted amazing! We had purchased cake for 120 people and our 70 guests loved it so much that barely any was left to take home! I can't wait until our one year anniversary when Cameron bakes us a new top tier!

Cameron was impressive from the bridal show to the tasting to the final product. The cake was delivered on time and Cameron even went out of his way to assist when a table was not ready for the cake upon its arrival. We ordered enough cake for double the amount of people attending and less than ten servings of the cake were left at the end of the night it was so delicious! Tinkers made the most awesome cake for my wedding! I simply explained what I had in mind and Cameron (the owner) made it happen. I was especially impressed when he handcrafted a bunch of little bees for us without hesitation. We had a three tier cake, each with a different flavor, and within and an hour it was all gone. Less than 60 people gobbled up a cake meant for 78 and they still wanted more! It was beautiful and delicious - the perfect cake.

Cameron from Tinker's was wonderful. We scheduled a cake tasting with him during which he was very professional and answered all of our questions. His cakes tasted great and looked even better. We told him a couple of weeks before the wedding what we wanted and sent over a couple of example pictures. He did the rest. We picked red velvet, carrot cake, and strawberries and cream. They worked with us to determine exactly what we wanted, offered fabulous flavor choices and designs and provided outstanding customer service including cake deliver, complimentary cake stand and flower placement all within a reasonable price. We left the flowers for them at the venue and they placed them on the cake for us right before the wedding to ensure it was just right. Would highly recommend to anyone. An AMAZING bakery!! Cameron was so great and easy to work with throughout the wedding planning process. Cameron Tinker is absolutely unbelievable. He made both my wedding cake and my groom's cake, and I couldn't possibly have been happier. I gave him a picture of the exact wedding cake I wanted, and he duplicated it perfectly. More importantly, however, this was, without a doubt, the most AMAZING tasting cake I have ever eaten. My flavors were white chocolate raspberry, lemon cream cheese, and spice cake, but, to be honest, you can't go wrong with any flavor you choose. I promise you everyone at your wedding will rave about this cake. My friends and family are still talking about it four months later.

All I can say is YUM! The best cake in the world! The decor on the cake was exactly what I wanted. I didn't even get a piece because the whole cake was gone by the time I got back to it! I can't wait for my one year anniversary cake!

The team at Tinkers Cake Shop gave us the exact wedding cake of our dreams! It was exactly like the photograph we presented them with, and it tasted excellent! They were extremely professional and easy to work with. We received many compliments on our cake from our wedding guests :)

Cameron Tinker is very nice to work with. He was professional, organized and very helpful. I knew after our first meeting I wanted to go with him and after that I didn't talk to him again until a week before the wedding. He called to review the order & went through every detail to ensure the cake was exactly what I wanted. He arrivd on time & the cake looked flawless! It was also very, very yummy!

What can I say......we got an AWESOME cake for a great price!!!!!!!!!!!! It was decorated exactly how I wanted and he even matched our colors from fabric! It was a delicious cake that we ate for weeks after and instead of you having to freeze your top layer for your one year anniversary they actually make you a fresh cake!!!!!! YUM, can't wait!

Cameron makes gorgeous cakes. While his sticker price might seem higher than other vendors in the area, the free top tier for your anniversary and discount if you pay up front makes him just as affordable if not less expensive than others. Strongly recommend Cameron for his professionalism and artistry.

Cameron provided a beautiful naked cake for my daughter's wedding on August 15. It was absolutely perfect. It was beautiful, just the right size for our reception, and the cake was delicious.

Delicious work of art

When my daughter and her fiance tasted Tinker's cakes at the Bridal Bliss show last August it was set-Tinker's cake would grace their wedding reception.
