Tim is the best!

I highly recommend Tim Maynard for your wedding! We knew we wanted a guitarist/cello for our cocktail hour and were thrilled to find Tim and his accompanist, Jeff. From the start, Tim was responsive, easy to work with, professional, flexible and just an all around great guy. He helped make our ceremony beautiful and memorable and so many guests commented on how excellent his playing was. I can't say enough good things about Tim! He really helped make our wedding day special and memorable.

Unforgetable

Tim was absolutely one of the highlights of our wedding!
We received many compliments on his playing and song selection
but his inspired rendition of Tequila (which he composed just for us) was truly unforgetable and totally WOWed our crowd.
Choosing Tim to perform at our wedding was one of the best decisions we made.

Review for Tim Maynard

Tim is a very talented guitarist and easy to work with. His playing at our small outdoor wedding last weekend was soft and beautiful. He arrived early and had to play in two different locations at the venue, but he made it look effortless. He also helped us troubleshoot the sound for the vows so that everyone could hear clearly from where they were seated, and it all went perfectly. We highly recommend Tim and are very grateful for his presence on the big day. Thank you for everything Tim!

Excellent & skilled guitarist for our wedding ceremony!

We had to postpone our wedding due to COVID and Tim was so flexible and helpful throughout the whole process. He was very prompt with responding to our questions and even gave us 3 songs for him to learn for our wedding ceremony. He was excellent on wedding day and really added magic to our ceremony. 10/10 recommend Tim!

Absolutely wonderful

We hired this music duo for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Tim Maynard and his crew did and exceptional job. The music selection was perfect. Our guests they love it. We had a very good relationship with Tim from the very beginning. He is very polite, knowledgeable and always available to his clients. He will bring your vision of your wedding to light. We admired how professional and responsible this vendor is. The Cello & Guitar was the perfect combination for the type of wedding we envisioned. Icing on the cake

Tim did a awesome job and performance went off without a hitch. Requested Tim play with sax accompaniment for cocktail hour and guests loved the energy and sound they were able to provide together. Very happy with service rendered and would highly recommend.

We had a very non-regimented ceremony and reception and Tim fit right into the feel of our day. He learned a couple of songs for us and, without much pre-coordination, took every cue from us seamlessly. Great guitarist, great guy - thank you so much Tim!

Tim was a pleasure to work with. Very prompt and professional with my many questions! I was worried that my ceremony wouldn’t flow well with no rehearsal but it couldn’t have gone any smoother. We decided to add a guitarist late into our wedding planning and we have zero regrets.

Tim played at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. He was great to work with during the planning stages and was always quick to respond to any questions I had. Tim was easy to work with, responsive, and he went above and beyond to accommodate my musical selections. We opted for a guitar/cello duo, and our wedding day music was absolutely beautiful! Tim was very accommodating, personable, professional, and I can't say enough how lucky we feel he performed for our wedding. And it was a performance. Tim was an absolute pleasure to have play at our wedding. We received many complements from our guests on how awesome the live music was for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Many of my friends really appreciated it as musicians. They were very impressed! He even took the time to learn a couple personal songs for us. There was a possibility that the ceremony/cocktail hour would be pushed a bit later, and Tim was very accommodating if that were to ever happen. I highly recommend Tim Maynard if you're looking for a guitar player at your wedding. Look no further, he's the best.

Our wedding ceremony would not have been the same without Tim Maynard and his beautiful classical guitar music! It was so important to my husband and I to feel like everything done or said during our ceremony had meaning to us and the music was a big part of that. Tim nailed our ceremony music 1000% - he even learned 2 new songs just for us! The song I walked down the aisle with my dad to was "She's on Her Way" by country artist Phil Vassar - almost nobody knows this beautiful song, but Tim took time to time to learn it and make it perfect, which meant so much to me! Tim is responsive, reliable, accommodating and we just can't thank him enough for being part of our big day. I can't wait to recommend him every chance I get!!

I hired Tim Maynard to play music for my ceremony and cocktail hour on 6/23/17 and he was absolutely amazing (I am still hearing about how great he was at the wedding from guests)! He played with a cello and I couldn't be happier with their performance. Tim is extremely easy to work with making sure everything is organized and what you want months prior to the wedding. He also will learn 3 new songs for you which truly is amazing. I would recommend him to any bride looking to add extra class to their wedding because he is truly talented!

I was blown away with Tim's beautiful music on our wedding November 5th, 2016. Even though he had extensive lists of music, I had special requests for our processional, he was more than accommodating and he delivered so beautifully. I can't thank him enough for this. We hired Tim for classical guitar for small intimate wedding ceremony. He came early and provided music for guests arriving and at the last minute was able to rehearse with a family member who sang along side him for one of the songs. His music added a beautiful addition to our sacred moment and he was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. We would highly recommend him.

Tim was the perfect musician for the most memorable and important day of our lives. His personalized arrangements of our favorite songs elevated our entire ceremony and cocktail hour. All of our guests complemented our beautiful music. The process of choosing music could not have been easier. Tim provided a fun questionnaire just to get a sense of our taste. He prompted us to choose songs for each portion of the ceremony and helped guide the entire agenda for the ceremony. When we had too many favorite songs and couldn't decide he instantly helped to narrow each down, explaining how the arrangements would sound broken down with guitar and cello (verses the radio version).
We didn't once feel that we were going to forget any crucial part of the ceremony because we knew Tim had done this hundreds of times and had it completely under control. He takes pride in his work which is one of the many reasons why he is known to be the best. If I could recommend him to every bride in CT, I would.
In addition to his expertise and professionalism, is his remarkable patience and kindness. Countless times he worked around our schedule when we needed to reschedule our meetings. He communicated efficiently by way of whichever mode suited us, from FaceTime or email.
My only word of advice to his future clients is to relax and enjoy. Tim will be sure to prompt you with all the necessary questions you need to execute your incredibly special day, however that may look. Our wedding was black tie and took place at Harkness State Park. Thank you so much, Tim - we have these memories for life!

Tim Maynard played at my daughters wedding in June of this year. His communication through the whole process helped keep the stress level down and made my daughter feel like she was being taken care of. He is multi stylistic, fluent, and creative in his arrangements, all of which he writes himself. His demeanor is professional and courteous but also sensitive to the crowd. During the cocktail hour he told a story about one of the pieces of music and moved everyone. I would recommend Tim Maynard to anybody who thinks music is important to their event, and is looking for a wonderful sound.

Working with Tim was such a pleasure! We hired him to play with a cellist for both our ceremony and cocktail hour. Although the timing of our event made it difficult to find an accompanying cellist, Tim stayed on top of it and in the end everything turned out perfect. He also created two personalized arrangements for us and they came out amazing!

Tim is great. He was punctual, prepared and flexible. He also created beautiful arrangements of several songs in different genres that were meaningful to us and the performance heightened the atmosphere of our ceremony immensely. He also played for the cocktail hour to lend a pleasant ambiance while our guests mingled before the reception. Hiring Tim Maynard for any event, and particularly for a wedding ceremony is a "no-brainer". Tim provided an exceptional value, impressive follow through and amazing talent. My husband and I hired Tim to play guitar during our wedding cocktail hour. Tim was great, and we received compliments from the guests on his music. Tim has a good variety of songs in his repertoire and also offers each couple three custom requests for him to play. There was a very specific Spanish guitar song that I wanted and Tim was able to accommodate! I loved his flexibility and the process of working with him was easy as Tim is the consummate professional. I highly recommend him for other brides looking for a musician for their wedding

Tim was extremely accommodating with our music requests. All I wanted was to walk down the aisle to Melissa by the Allman Brothers and Tim recorded a demo of the song and sent it to me so I could hear it before making a decision. That sold it for us and we were extremely happy with everything.

Tim provided music for our wedding ceremony in the Hartford City Hall atrium. Tim was fantastic. The ceremony music was beautiful and made for a very intimate ceremony. The microphone service allowed our guests to easily hear the whole ceremony. We received many compliments from guests about the quality of the ceremony. If I could give Tim a 6 out of 5 I would. He and Celeste (the cellist he performed with) delivered the moving, special touch that we were looking for in our wedding ceremony music. Tim's skills as a performer and arranger were very impressive, and they were complimented by his professionalism and pleasant presence on our big day. Not many people would take on arranging a pop song, a dubstep hit, and a TV theme song (GOT) into a classical guitar and cello duet, but Tim rose to the challenge and surpassed our expectations. He was also comfortable adapting to an unusual ceremony location (we got married in a movie theater). I would hire Tim again in a heartbeat for any special event in our future.

Tim was the featured musical entertainment for the first evening of our 3 day benefit conference. His musical talents are vast and he treated our guests with kindness and great professionalism. My name is Michael Minarik and I am a broadway singer and producer. I found Tim through a friend and i wasn't dissapointed. I asked tim to play a son that had no printed music. It was a brand new song from a broadway show and tim listened to the chords and figured out how to take an orchestral piece and play it wonderfully for my wedding.

he also was able to have 2 different keys for the song ready to go if my singer needed to do a lower key. He was very afforadable and just an over all nice gentleman. You would be fortunate to have him at your gatherin.

I hired Tim Maynard to play music for my ceremony and cocktail hour and he was absolutely amazing!! He played with a violinist and I couldn't be happier with their performance. My husband and I received so many compliments for incorporating live music in our wedding and we made the right choice using Tim. He is incredibly talented and has a vast list of songs he can do and was very accommodating with music choices. He also offered us our choice of any 3 songs of any genre for him to play in classical style. I would recommend him to any bride looking to add extra class to her wedding!!

Tim was by far the most professional person I worked with throughout wedding planning. He is prompt with all communication and very organized. Most importantly, he plays beautiful music! I found Tim on WeddingWire when I was searching for someone to perform classical music at our wedding ceremony. Shortly after emailing Tim he contacted me and set up an appointment to meet. He was very organized and very helpful. The process of putting together a list of songs we wanted him to perform was simple and Tim was available to assist with any questions or help we needed. It was comforting to know we could count on Tim and didn't have to worry about anything the day of the wedding. Being the bride I didn't get to hear some of the music he performed at the beginning of the ceremony, but many of my friends and family commented on how awesome it was. The one thing that my wife allowed me to take full charge of for our wedding was the music. It became an obsession. Thankfully, I found Tim. He was so easy to work with and didn't mind me sending Youtube clips of the songs I wanted him to play. He responded to my emails at a very timely manner too. He even learned a song for us and played it beautifully. It is also helpful to know that Tim can provide battery operated audio system (microphones and speakers) for your outdoor wedding. To wrap things up, Tim is a great musician that is more than willing to work with your needs.

Being a musician myself, it was very important to me that my wedding have exquisite live music. I immediately thought of Tim, and asked him to play during our ceremony, the cocktail reception and through most of dinner when a full “dance band” would take over.

I asked Tim if he would learn two songs for the ceremony, so that a friend who is a talented vocalist could sing. Obviously, Tim could have done the minimum to get by--just a simple arrangement. Instead, Tim played beautiful complex arrangements, which fully complemented the vocals that he and my friend had rehearsed together.

The music was all I could have hoped for. I have had many of my friends, some of whom are also musicians, comment on how beautiful the music was, and how skilled Tim is as a guitar player.

Tim plays with great technical skill, but he also plays with heart and soul and inspiration. He was very concerned that he capture what I was looking for--and he did. I would highly recommend Tim to anyone who is looking for magic!

We selected Tim as our wedding ceremony musician after quite a long search - he was the very last vendor we booked! We were a little worried booking without actually meeting with Tim first (we emailed back and forth), but when the time came to meet we immediately knew we'd made the right choice! We clicked with Tim immediately and he completely "got" us and our quirkiness! He let us know what would and wouldn't work and he made excellent and creative suggestions perfectly in line with what we were going for in place of anything that needed it. The only reason we didn't ask him to also do our cocktail hour is because we'd already asked my Uncle's band to play. Tim was responsive and professional throughout the whole wedding planning process and we would recommend him to anyone! Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, CT utilized Tim Maynard and another musician for a fundraising event to benefit our organization. Both gentlemen were prompt, professional and provided a wonderful musical performance for our attendees. I spoke personally with numerous guests who said they thought the duo sounded great! Tim was also very considerate of his fee knowing he was working with a not-for-profit group. I would hire Tim again should we have the opportunity.

We were very happy with all of the vendors at our wedding, but Tim was far and away our favorite. He was the easiest person to deal with in the build-up to the big event, a huge help in figuring out an appropriate setlist which wasn't too stuck-in-the-past and a total hero on the day when we needed him to improvise a bunch of music on the spot while we waited for the bouquet to reach us from the hotel.

We would rather give Tim fifty stars, but this site seems to cap out at five.

I was planning my mother's 100th birthday party and because she is of Spanish(Castilian) descent, and this was a very special occasion; I wanted to find a classical guitarist to perform for the event. I was exceptionally lucky to find Tim Maynard. He proved not only a joy to work with for the planning of his performance at the event, but proved to be very professional and extremely talented. A convalescent home can tend to bring ones spirit down at times as a resident, but I have to say that the joy I saw on my Mother's face when she was listening to Tim's playing proved to be the best gift she could ever receive on that day. My mother is still talking about the experience; and as a registered Nurse, I feel that Tim's performance that day was better than any medicine or medical treatment that could be prescribed. This was truly a wonderful example of how professionally played music can be used as a positive therapy.

I recently hired Tim Maynard to perform at a corporate book signing event at The Mark Twain House & Museum in Hartford. Tim is an incredibly talented musician and turned a beautiful evening into an enchanted one with his classical guitar choices. In addition, his attention to detail was much appreciated: He coordinated directly with the on-site event planner, arrived early to set-up, and provided the sound system so my co-author and I could give a brief speech. I should also mention that he dressed professionally (black suit, white shirt, and tie) which I really liked given the corporate audience. I look forward to hiring Tim to perform at my daughters' weddings!

Tim Maynard was absolutely incredible. He was the best musician I could have hoped for. He played so beautifully. Every guest commented on his style. He did a great job transitioning during the ceremony and he played a bit before the wedding. Tim has a huge repertoire and truly does an amazing job. I did not personally get to meet him as my husband took care of everything related to the music, but I loved the music and from everything I saw in the pictures, he looked professional and blended in nicely to the whole event. I would certainly hire him again. He was truly one of a kind.

Planning a wedding from Texas was stressful but Tim made choosing the music our ceremony a breeze. He was easy to work with even flexible in learning new songs. I cannot say enough positive things about Tim. He has performed in a myriad weddings and is a consummate musician and professional. Whatever music you want, he will play. If he doesn't have an arrangement of your chosen pieces already, he will create one that is gorgeous and will add tremendous value to your ceremony (or reception). He's a talented classical guitarist, but is equally well-versed in pop, jazz, rock, heck, WHATEVER genre you'd like. He also has great relationships with other musicians and can help put together just about any combination of instrumentalists for your wedding. I had Tim (guitar) and a cellist play for my outdoor ceremony, and it was a lovely combination. Want guitar & flute? No problem, he can arrange it. Two guitars, a bongo player, and a guy juggling flaming bowling pins? He might even be able to pull that off. Just ask. Musicianship aside, he's also incredibly punctual, professional, prepared, helpful in terms of planning, and quick to respond to emails.

At our August 25th wedding Tim Maynard did a truly amazing job adding a beautiful touch to our wedding. Tim worked with me for many months before the wedding going over song selection and making me feel comfortable with each song we chose together. He was even willing to learn certain songs just to accomidate our taste and hopes for the wedding. Not only would I reccomned Tim to everyone I know who would need a classical musician at their wedding or special event but I'd also spread the word to others on his talent, flexibility and affordablity. What can I say? Tim is a great addition to a wedding.

From our first e-mail to the final performance everything went as smoothly as possible. When you're planning a wedding it's hard to find someone who is good at their craft and also understands the business side of things. Tim does this perfectly. He is promopt and flexible in planning. Tim is a wonderful guitarist who played beautifully during our recent wedding ceremony at Saybrook Point Inn and Spa. He's extremely professional and easy to work with which was important for us as we live in the UK and organised our wedding by email and phone. Our music choices for the ceremony included the Foo Fighters and Metallica and Tim did an excellent job with these songs. I'd highly recommend him.

In addition to being an amazing guitar player Tim was highly professional, flexible, and great to work with. The continuous stream of classical and contemporary love songs that we had requested for our wedding reception provided the perfect background for our special day. We also had non-traditional music for our ceremony and Tim showed is flexibility in being able to accommodate that request. Also both an unexpected change in the order people came in that we did not get to convey to him before it happened and an unplanned relocation to a different spot after the ceremony both were handled quite smoothly without us even being aware it happened enabling us to focus on our guests and each other. We highly recommend Tim for your event.
